Part of it is being able to imagine complex maps in the first place.I've tried a variety of techniques. I'm not sure that one is better than the other, but they can have advantages or disadvantages in terms of things like speed or memory usage.The most basic way? Text. One of the first things I did when I got a Perkins Brailler at home was to make maps for games. For all intents and purposes, it's indistinguishable from tile-based maps, except you can open it in a text editor and read it. Imo, this is the closest we get to just drawing maps in MSPaint, if you ignore the additional tools in MSPaint (but see below).  Braille displays are particularly helpful for this one. Code everything by hand. I've done a few complex areas this way, but it's extraordinarily tedious, and the result is either a complete set of relatively simple maps, one or two complex maps, or the whole thing collapsing because I don't have any Ritalin. If you are extremely conscientious, good at imagining shapes based on numbers, and translating complex ideas for maps into said numbers, you might try this.Procedurally generate things. See DLE and Sengoku Jidai for how that tends to turn out when I do it. Maze generators are codable (what is the license on Philip Bennefall's Amaze, anyway?), but it takes tweaking and such to get them reliably good enough for deployment. (AKA, Sengoku Jidai's castles would be more interesting (and harder to navigate) if they were really 4 castles stuck together).Editors. Scenegraphs are a pain to work with on the code side. If you have an editor that is indistinguishable from any arbitrary object-based map editor, though, that matters much less. The trouble is, if your map system is the least bit unique, you need an editor that works with that. Either you find standard formats, or you build it from scratch. I doubt most sighted devs code maps by hand, other than maybe a querky bit here and there, when they can use editors instead.The first and the last both have the side-effect that you can view the map as you're working on it.If the design part is the hardest, there are probably decent articles to be found via Google, or videos via Youtube, but I suspect it will be troublesome to sort out those which can be understood nonvisually from those which cannot.

@20 that is an absolutely disgraceful thing to say. The game is developed by a single person. Funded by himself, despite having a new baby and a wife off on maternity. It's his first game. And it's still more accessible than anything that pretty much any other developers are doing.By that I mean across the board, although blind accessibility is obviously the priority for you there's way more to accessibility than that.He cares deeply about accessibility. He had devoted a significant chunk of time to trying to find a way for blind accessibility to work, but hasn't been able to. He is very much aware of blind accessibility and passionate about working on it in future games.It at least would be, if people didn't go around calling him a fucker. Imagine if he saw this thread. If someone called you a fucker would you be interested in helping them out?@22 it's procedurally generated. The game creates itself. So there are no platforms etc that cues can be added to. The cues need to be added as part of the systems that generate the levels, along with the system being clever enough to understand what cues are relevant in what contexts. Which wouldn't be impossible, but would be difficult and expensive. Too difficult and expensive for him to be able to take on.

I think that pokemon's freeze status can actually be indefinite if you're really, really unlucky, while sleep is guaranteed 1-5 turns, with increasing chance to wake after turn 1. Or at least, I think that's how it is now.This would explain why it's much harder to inflict reliable freeze status, vs. sleep status.

Try contacting @brannonz on twitter instead, he works directly with the game development teams.But yep as always voiceover support generally isn't something you can just add unless your game was developed natively rather than using an engine (engine = pre-built code scaffolding that takes care of the heavy lifting of game development, including how to get visuals onto the screen), and most games are made using engines.If a game is partially accessible it's often not to hard to improve on that but if there's literally zero that's a good sign that it was built using an engine that doesn't support screenreaders.On the plus side that'll become less of an issue. The most popular two engines, Unity and Unreal, are currently working on screenreader support. CVAA is one of the reasons, so you can thank the US government (both dems and reps) and the FCC for that.

I can now release this version because it now decrypts passwords correctly!Now has menu sounds.Fixed a few bugs that were quite stupid and easy to fix.Misc updates to things like dialogues adding press enter to continue to them, the password generator encrypting your passwords, and more changes I forgot about.Password generater can now add spaces to the generated password.Added the stopwatch. Now though, you can just step into the vertual world with a thought and access the information through automatic information loaders. And humans needed to build things through resources? in pokemon games, sleep tends to have a length of 1-5 turns. Freezing, on the other hand, has a length of 0-5 turns. Even there, it's possible for the Pokemon being frozen to unfreeze the same turn. It's the least reliable status condition to inflict on a target. Manamon might of done the same.

The version I introduced a couple of months ago is a command-line re-implementation of the original Master of Orion, and is free.In short, Smugglers is the only game you need to purchase of the two you mentioned, and it is a very different game. In Smugglers you are flying a single ship, doing combat missions, and making a fortune running commodities back and forth in a fairly small scale. I still think the game needs a smaller map really given the amount of players. Plus, smaller maps would mean a faster paced game. Don't get me wrong. Hunting down players is fun, but when it's a haundful of people on and everyone's 500 tiles away it gets boring really quickso I'd argue a smaller map could help bring the pace up

If you wear an eye patch over both of your eyes, or you keep them closed all the time then its obvious.There is a very mean game over screen in gloria union, apparently, that depicts girls getting taken full advantage of by men. For obvious reasons, that sequel to Yvdra union has never been lovalized in the west.

In Papa Sangre 2, you're in a nightmare scenario at one point where you're deep underwater, in a wrecked sub. First of all, that ambiance in that area actually made me nervous, not sure why...but here's my question. If you're that far underwater, why isn't the pressure alone killing you?In TechnoShock, how the hell is it that the only, and I do mean the only, thing that can hurt mosquitoes is bug spray? You can't shoot them, whack them or blow them up.

About freezing: I've seen the same thing; a creature gets frozen, only to unfreeze right away. If freeze is supposed to last longer, would this be considered a bug?Also,At what levels do traded manamon start ignoring commands? Most of my mons are low fifties, with one level 59 creature. I traded for the final evolution of Lindwurm which is also level 59 but it ignores me quite a bit. What can I do to fix this?

Hello, and happy end of 2019!I am having sort of a weird issue with using NVDA in Word.I recently joined the writing profession by investing ninety percent of the time on sites such as Reedsy, KDP, Smashwords, and Lulu, as well as the copyright office and LCCN. For sites that aren't accessible, like using Canva, I've used Aira.Anyway, using Word has become the heart of the manuscripts I've produced, and the sites are the arteries and veins used to distribute them.So anyhow, I noticed something weird happening lately. When I started navigating large documents, like this novel I wrote five years ago that is about seventy-eight thousand words, I noticed that it took a while to load, and sometimes the focus and browse cursors don't always line up. For example, if I hit the down arrow key whilst in browse mode, it'll read many sentences in that instance, rather than just one line.Additionally, if I hit control A to select all text, it says 65,000 characters selected. But, when I copy it to the clipboard and hit NVDA C, it says that the clipboard has a large portion of text. It is 439,834 characters long.I remember playing with this feature about a month ago in the advanced settings called use Microsoft UI Automation to improve performance, or something like that. I had it checked at one time, but when I started having problems, I unchecked it and restored everything to default. However, I noticed the same thing happening once more. I believe I also changed some settings in Word as well, but don't remember which ones.So, I am currently using Word that came with my Office365 subscription for OneDrive, with a Lenovo computer that I recently purchased, running Windows 10 with the latest version of NVDA. I'll say this much, though. The ram on this computer doesn't go past 3.89 GB, and it is a dual core AMD Radeon processor mainly designed for gaming.Does anyone here have any recommendations for how to optimise Word to run more quickly with NVDA, or how to fix these weird issues with how it navigates in focus and browse mode?Thanks!

Speaking of carrying a lot of stuff, have you ever considered that in BK3, and 2 for that matter, you just walk around with a bag full of garbage that steadily piles up? And you can carry this megaton hammer that takes stamina to swing, but... like... you can dead out sprint with it in your hand. Not even a little slowed down. Same with swamp. You've got this huge amount of guns just strapped to your person, but you still take hits, there's nothing in the way? Not even your axe like strapped across your stress? And it doesn't slow you down in the slightest? Where are you keeping these thousands of millions of bullets?
