@Pitermach, I plan to catch up on the last two episodes of new who this week. My dad and I have been watching them on Tuesday lunch, though I must confess the Mof continues to be underwelming. For much of my thoughts check the Dr. who thread, so Im not expecting too much of the finale at all. as you said, the Finales even in the Davies era (the 9th and 10th Doctor), were a bit hit and miss, and sinse the Moff took over theyve just dropped into cheese and convolutions and ridiculous deus ex from hell. Either way Im not holding out much hope, for me, there are only 10 incarnations of The Doctor. On the plus side the audios are awsome, and if your going through the 8th doctor set Minuette in Hell, Invaders from Mars etc, your really on a good stretch. minuette has a few issues (mostly the rather ropy American accents), but I love just how crazy it gets with Charley being almost turned into a prostitute and The Doctor in a mental hospital with his mind wiped a
 nd his fellow inmate believing that he! is The Doctor. The demon marcosius is also both hilarious and completely evil, his charley is my darling! my darling! my darling! always makes me laugh .Ive actually just finished 67 The Game, a rather nice satyrical outing taking the micky out of Football with a society who play a team sport involving bladed hockey sticks, they even got one of the regular Bbc sports casters to play the commontater which was good, though Im less sure it needed the extended Gangster bit at the end. I keep thinking I should go off and read something else, (Ive still got most of Iain Banks Culture series to go), but the audios are just too good and I keep running across absolute gems, even in stories which the first time through didnt impress me as much. My parents have now gone, and my bathroom i
 s painted blue and sealike, which is nice. We also went out for a meal last night and I had Zebra meatballs with Turreso sauce yes Zebra! rather good, though I thought a trifle over cooked sinse the one previous occasion I had Zebra it wasnt quite that tough, still rather nice and very different from the usual burger or pizza etc.I have also started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. its odd, usually in tv series or books with a paranormal or fantastical focus, Im really interested in the fantasy elements, world, genealogy etc. Yet, in Buffy the Vampires (and the other couple of monsters Ive seen in the episodes Ive watched), have been a bit bleh. I like the way they just go savage with the teeth and chomp on people (much nicer than Twilight style sparkly happy vampires), and I like the way the series response to vampires is that they should be pounded on with lots of martial arts, but at the moment I dont find them that interesting. Not co
 mpared to say being Humans fantastic drug adict style vampires, or some of the Vampires in Doctor who, whether the intergalactic race of blood drinking conquerers who had a war with the timelords from the tv story State of Decay, or the bio engineered gangster vampires from the audio Project Twilight. Either way, at the moment in Buffy the world of the supernatural isnt doing a lot for me,  though bare in mind Im just on episode four so I suspect this to change later. What I am however really enjoying is the very witty dialogue and quite engaging characters. Buffy as an airhead who is quite matter of fact about smacking around vampires is probably to me the least interesting character at this stage, though with joss Weeden at the helm Im confident things will change. Zander reminds me of Socka from Avatar the last airbender with his rather fun insites, though hes a lot less intelligent and a bit more dispicable. Willow I really like, b
 ut then again I suppose I would find an intelligent girl who is something of a social missfit but quite a nice person undernieth appealing as a character. Giles amuses me with his general exasperation with everybody and everything, and i do appreciate the fact that unlike most English characters in American programs hes not a walking set of cliches, (I wince whenever The Simpsons attempts an English character).The only character I really dont think much to thus far is Angel, just because he has I am a mysterious stranger with a tragic past! written across his forhead. Im willing to see what Joss Weeden will do here though.A friend of mine said the two things she liked best about Buffy were firstly that unlike a lot of modern urban fantasy such as Dresden, it really didnt take itself seriously, and sinse Im a little board of look at my terrible aanxt! that is nice. I know all this, also, I know that they wanna keep it all the way free, but at least improve that ESpeak a little. Im not pretending to get the quality of vocalizer or Ivona, but at least a little improvement. I know, there are plenty of other voices, but were looking to the main one. And again, you can purchase jaws home license for about 120 or 130 dollars, and you can download vocalizer, real speak and any other voice available for jaws, right?

Hi,@dark I think you might find the new who finale a bit.. underwhelming but its OK. Could have been better though.I must confess I havent seen much of Buffy, however Im watching Agents of Shield which also has Joss Weeden at the helm so he really knows his stuff, and its done well.I also recently watched a film called Spirited Away which was, to put it simply, incredible. I cant stop talking about it. Some films leave youa fter a day, but this has been on my mind, Ive even dreamed of its world since watching it so it must have made quite an impression on me.

Hi,Im also part of a semmy private server, and lets just say Im not leaving, Ive been welcomed there. Ive learned not to trust public servers, and heres why:I found a public server on twitter once, things were fine, I was having a catch up with a friend I hadnt seen in years. However, after a while someone else showed up, someone unfortunately familiar to me. This person has been known to cause trouble on servers. I gave the main admin a heads up just to keep their eyes open, just in case. I forgave the person as I knew that it had been in the past, though, and just moved along.However, some other members then recognized this troublemaker on the server, and gave the admin warnings. But the admin didnt listen. He paid the price. The server is no longer public, it is password protected, and perhaps most interestingly of all, Im not aloud back even though I was the one warning the admin in the first place, so I j
 ust moved on.Luckily the private server was up during all of this time and hasnt gone down, in fact its gone from strength to strength, and thats the one that I wont be leaving anytime soon because unlike the admin on that public server, this one can spot trouble from a mile off.

Hi Lucas, thanks for your hints, now I can change the weapons. Ive seen, in endless mode, that if I survive for a certain time, then the game blocks. For example I shoot with smg, and remain shooting, then I have to press home and restart the game, but in this case I lost everything Ive earned.Can someone give me hints to get the diamonds? I cant get them in endless mode. I have to shoot them when I hear the sound?

Hi Aaron. Ah, I didnt realize Joss Wheaden was involved with agents of shield, that certainly bumps it up the list of stuff to watch. I initially only saw a couple of episodes of Buffy when it was being shown in the early 2000s, and was less than impressed, however I absolutely loved! Firefly, a truly fantastic sf series, which got me interested in trying Buffy out. Glad you liked Spirited Away. Pretty much anything by Studio Gibly is awsome and very surreal, especially considering theyre basically run by Miazaki who is just god! I have loved everything Ive seen, from their original and surreal things like Spirited away and Kikis delivery service and the very famous Princess Mononoke, to their reimaginings of popular books. Spirited away I liked for just how wonderfully surreal it was, sort of a dark version of Alice in Wonderland, and Yibaba the wtich is just plane scary (appologies for mangled spellings). I find it 
 interesting Gibly have also done some films based on popular fantasy books. All of them have not exactly been like the books, but all have been awsome. These include Arietti based on The Borrowers, (probably the most faithful to the book, but actually rather better sinse I found the book a little dull), Howls moving castle,  which is rather different and was written slightly as an anti iraq war film, though is fun none the less even if the characters are far nicer and less engagingly selfish than Wynne Jones originals. Also, Wizard of Earthsea,  yes Earthsea got the miazaki treatment! Well at least the third and fourth books did, as the film combines the story from The Farthest Shore and Tehanu.This tends to get bashed by fans, but I enjoyed it myself, then again I was less than impressed with Tehanu anyway, and having it Miazakified was a definite improvement (particularly sinse it missed out on Leguins very dismal feminism which made up most of the
  book).Either way, Spirited away is fantastic, just like the rest of Miazakis and Giblys work. I particularly like thee scene where the little girl (whos name I wont attempt to spell), is having to run home before all the lights are lit, and is running up the steps while the little spider creatures behind her are setting the street lamps alight. A lovely moment and fantastically surreal. A friend of mine actually said she didnt get Spirited away because she thought it was too heavily based on Japanese mythology, what with the river Dragon and other slightly unusual elements, but I never found that myself, I just took it as a fantasy world with its own logic and rules that was a bit alien, but all the more interesting because of that.

That could have happened anywhere. No matter where you go people are out to attack your character in some fashion or another; to limit it to a particular TT server is, I believe, somewhat harsh. Youll get good people and bad people everywhere you go. While I myself usually tend to shye away from tt servers anyway though, I guess this statement probably doesnt hold much water. :d

This may actually be the first game that I do preorder. However I want to wait and find out what the differences between last and current gen versions are. Hopefully they dont go the way of 2k, four at no point was I going to order the latest wwe game for ps3. One thing I will say though, is with the personality of the characters now coming through in fights, I can see myself being way more attached to the new crop then any of those who died in the last game.

Space exploration Browser game, Astro Galaxy

Astro galaxy is a highly realistic and deeply involved space exploration game from the makers of Space Oddessy. Unlike Space Oddissy, the game features a much more realistic and tightly controled idea for space exploration, with players owning a few ships (you start with just one), but managing them in detail in a fully 3D explorable galaxy. Flying to different stars using detailed principles of space flight (distances are even measured in Astronomical units and lagrange points), managing fuel and ship modules, needing to hier crew and decide on. The planets too are detailed, with different resources to be mined or collected, or the ability to setup science labs and colonies. The game does have a degree of pvp, though how much Im not sure, particularly sinse the galaxy is ever expanding, with new systems and technologies, this is one that is built to be open ended. The problem has been that up to now, all the navigation images in the game were unl
 abeled. While it was possible to navigate a solar system by just hitting unlabeled links until you got the right planet (possible but long winded), the starmap was absolutely out, sinse there was no way of finding other stars, and there are a lot! of different star systems. I of course made the developers aware of this.The devs have however now added a textual table for navigation both in systems and on the starmap. I dont know how complete it is (the update in the game news was only added last week, I just happened to catch it). It might be a little rough at first, and even aside from navigation, note that Astro galaxy is not a simple game by any means, so there is already a lot of info (though fortunately there is a great interactive tutorial), however I do think this is definitely one for people who have been looking for something really great in the exploration end of scifi, and want a game that is more than just hitting the attack button over and over a
 gain. The game is entirely free to play but has a donator currency called Qp or quantum points which may be used to buy certain bennifits, including Vip status, which reduces the time for various actions in the game such travelling.Im therefore off to give it a serious try, and anyone interested can join me over at:http://www.astro-galaxy.com/Im Captain Dark on there, though bare in mind Im just starting off myself too (previously I only completed about %90 of the tutorial).

I dunno. What little weve been able to hear doesnt capture me much... but then again, fighting games have really never made me feel connected with the characters... but there are some jrpgs where I can definitely get that sense of connection. Onimusha and the yakuza games for two. lol And I havent heard anything concrete, but I think differences are primarily going to be asthetic and visual... the core gameplay is the same across the board.

Its definetly not that cheep, I think. It still comes to 260tl by the way, and I dont think it would be worth it to spend that much Money for a program when all sighted people go around and make things free while we pay. Not fare at all.

It may not be fair, but we cant complain about a price drop... but while JAWS may be cheaper, NVDA is free, portable and takes up less cpu power... the best part is that I can install a fresh copy on any computer and have all my settings and addons available right away if I install off a portable copy that I cary around with me all the time.

Nope. I can confirm JAWS does not have this problem. At this thats all its really good for... the ability to watch youtube without having any problems. And why would tab order stop NVDA from reading things automatically? What sucks is that when nvda stops reading, it also loses the ability to interact for some reason with the page.. even through the elements list dialog.

What kind of tree was it? Like I said pine trees are worth peanuts, many tree types such as spruce, oak and birch will get you around 120 riln just for the logs and closer to 400 for the flitches.And yeah, trees landing on yous always a risk. You may find armour helpful, at least in vital areas like head and body. If you dont have guild abilities that are impacted by armour such as magic then Id seriously suggest at least a helmet of some kind and a cuirass even without logging.

Well by personal items I meant the kind which are perfectly legitimate but potentially embarrassing, perhaps items related to certain health needs or of an adult nature.The biggest problem is most places still require you to provide a physical address, especially for non digital items which require delivery. That seriously limits the potential anonymity, though the lack of a link to your bank account can make tracing your purchase from that end impossible. Of course its always possible that it could reach a point where certain authorities and/or law enforcement groups might see the appearance of bitcoin purchases on ones bank statement as a cause for suspicion. Naturally we dont need to worry about this in the UK because we all trust the police to treat us fairly without unwarranted intrusions into our personal dealings, right? Right?

I personally disagree with Nocturnus here. Any community that allows the sort of attacks Hurstseth describes is not being moderated properly.While I agree with Nocturnus that you get a mix of ccharacters anywhere, its the function of a decent moderator to make sure that things dont get out of hand and that offensive behaviour is dealt with. If indeed the moderator or whoever is incharge is the one engaging in that sort of thing, and using their moderation rights to cause trouble for others, then you have a problem and are best off just leaving that community and going somewhere else. Just put it down to some idiot who cant do their moderation job properly and move on.

Hi all,So, Ive decided to actually finish a playthrough of this game, but I need help with completing it--defending the castle.I seem to get stuck at the area where the player character gets too tired to fight and you have to make a choice about setting an example and try to fight it out, rally your men or... I forgot what the other choice was. In any case, the first time I encountered the castle I made the wrong defencive strategy which only accounted for the charging enemies, and they were able to get through easier. Next time, I created the berricade, and that was stronger than holes in the ground for unsuspecting horse hooves.After that segment, the enemy comes at you again, and you have the choice to once again rally your men and attack from all sides. Seems like a logical choice to me, but it was for naught. That dang commander enemy that has a grudge against the player decides to save you, and when you least expect it, kill you.So, what is the
  best way to beat this chapter? Ill keep trying, and Ill go to the CoG forums and ask the author himself if none of you guys have beaten it lol. I feel determined to end this war. If the kid that has a grudge against the player didnt have a years worth of Leutenant service under his belt, the player could take command and we wouldnt have this unfortunate issue of betrayal. I forgot how to spell his name.

Lol, the fireballs do so much damage that no shield can stop it. After all theyre like level 4 or something, dealing 2.5 million damage, and even the defend master plus only has 12 hp on it. And I actually want to fight the enemies that come out of the generators as Im trying to farm mini shooters to make my omega shooter. I have like 453 more to go or something like that.

I was loging around mistral, and the trees I went after was oak. Today I cfelled to trees and converted them to flitches. I got a little under 200 for them, but that might be because of my skills... Those hand carts are small. I also got lucky today. I had one fall on me, and I was also attacked about the same time. I did make it to a healler though and got fixed up.

Greetings!Ship builders can now add multiple airlocks in their vessles, and if there are more than one airlocks, the vessle will ask which one to enter when entering the ship.Also, the command code has been added to airlocks. This airlock-dependant code allows you to secure the ship by adding a security code to each of its airlocks. When typing in, if the airlock has a code set, the keypad will pop up asking you for one.

You should be able to fit all four logs from a tree in a handcart, but the mud puts branches in there for some reason as well which can clog it up. You can typetransfer branch from hand to groundTo ditch them. You can alsotransfer log from ground to handandtransfer flitch from carrier to handWhen youre in the mill.

Hypothetical: Accessifying paintball/nerf/laser tag?

As usual my brain keeps trying to come up with ways to do everything I cant so here it is, how could we potentially accessify paintball, nerf or laser tag? The gun type is mostly personal preference here since I believe all have similar potential, though paintball might require some more effort to learn how to maintain the marker and some more persuading since theres a myth going around that paintball hurts like hell. I understand that theres a tradition among paintball players of exagerrating the pain involved, I guess its just macho nonsense at work yet again. So here goes.There are two major decisions to be made regarding approach, firstly do we go all visually impaired or do we attempt to integrate with sighted players and secondly do we play with a sighted guide of some kind or do we play independently.Going all VI is a tempting route but it has many issues, as does full integration. Youre limiting the potential number and location 
 of games you can play in to those specially organised for VI players, you will likely have issues gaining enough potential players so numbers will become a problem, youre also increasing the amount of support required to handle people going to the bathroom and in and out of the play area if nothing else. On the upside it gives the most even game since everyone can use a blindfold or blacked out safety goggles/mask, finding a suitable venue would be potentially a problem but if it could be found a level area with nothing to trip over and no hard objects to bump into would be fantastic. I understand that paintball sites sometimes use inflatable obstacles to provide cover and these would be great since running into them wouldnt be dangerous, sighted players do it often enough from what I gather, and their locations could be represented on a tactile map for us to examine before play.Full integration would provide challenges in terms of sighted players not wanting to d
 eal with us weighing them down and we would obviously be at a disadvantage, however it would massively increase the availability of games. In the case of paintball we could offset this slightly by making use of smoke grenades though Im under no illusions that it would still be an uphill struggle in terms of player performance. There is the potential for a mix and match solution where a portion of each team is VI and a portion is fully sighted, if you could get a handfull of VI people and have some sighted friends who are willing to join in this could be the best of both worlds.Now on to the nitty gritty. Having a sighted guide would be a decent solution in many ways though response time may be slower, you would also need to work out whether the guide counts as an additional player and whether they carry a gun, as well as whether a hit on them counts against you or not. This last point could be awkward since sighted players may not have time to distinguish between the tw
 o of you in the heat of action, and a VI player may be aiming at footsteps or other sounds which could be either you, your guide or both. Theres also the matter of hearing each other clearly, as well as the simple matter of finding sighted friends willing to perform this role for you, and doubling the amount of protective gear required. Just as a note one theoretical though likely expensive and difficult to set up approach could be mounting a camera on yourself and having your guide outside the play area using a tablet or similar to monitor you and communicate via radio.Going without sighted help could either be in the form of pure independent play or using some as yet uninvented aid. Using a cane wouldnt be the most practical thing for such a fast paced game so wed be relying on sound and other cues, this would probably work best in an all VI or mixed group. An aid could consist of some kind of range sensor and a vibration motor changing in intensity,
  however things like the iGlasses with built in ultrasound sensors wouldnt be wise for paintball for obvious safety reasons though if they dont interfere with multiples working in the same area they could work for laser tag and nerf. Im also trying to think of a low tech solution taking a leaf out of GoalBalls book using cords but I cant think of where they would be attatched to right now. On the plus side some paintball masks contain a space for a fan to reduce fogging of the lens and a peak, we obviously wouldnt benefit directly from either but the fan space could be used to house portions of an electronic aid while the peak might make a handy mounting spot for camera and/or sensors. Such a mask would not only be suitable for paintball but would be great for Nerf too since its always possible for a nerf dart to hit someone in the eye at close range, especially when like us we couldnt be too selective about where we hit.The big

Nope. I actually find soul Calibur V one of the better games for that... but generally I dont get too atatched to fighting game characters. There just isnt enough background to their story and they just dont say all that much... Im one of those people who doesnt play fighting games for the story or asthetic content but for the mechanics and the playstyles. Every now and then a fighting game will capture my attention in its world and story, but its rare... to illustrate my point, here are some of the mains I have for various fighting games.Soul Calibur V: Mitsurugi / NatsuUltra Street Fighter IV: SethMarvel VS. Capcom 3: main team is ryu / chun lee, strider hiryu and ZeroTekken 6: typically Jin or hwarangI havent listed MK because I havent played it in a long time... and it and Injustice have lost a lot of appeal lately for me unless I have friends over. The characters just have way too few lines... and 
 they are all so cliched and overly used. Batmans sty down win quote, or scorpions Vengence will be Mine are just a few examples. the story modes give some background and a glimpse to personalities... but I dont think any fighting game other than the Blazblue sries has really tried to flesh out their world and expand their universe, and that series does it almost too much. hahaha.

Better way to do that is grind in any area of stage 16 that doesnt have launchers. I think 16-1 or 15-2 are the two best places if I remember right. That or stage 23-1. lol. And yep, Im definitely not at a high enough level to give you any advice then. hahaha.

Greetings!As of this writing, Android SSH ACCESSIBLE clients, like the same with mud clients, are hit and miss. In other words, I cant recommend an SSH client via that platform for now. Laser quest at least does have an assistance rule for the gear, or at anyrate about 20 years ago they used to. You wear the pack with the targit, and your guide has a second gun which is slaved to your pack. This is also a good offset for the disadvantage, ie, two guns to one shootable targit vs having to go around the arena holding someones arm, although it still has the problem of finding other players by sound, which is difficult given how noisey the laser quest arenas used to be. That I suspect would be the major problem, though Im sure some digital tech could be added to the guns to give an audiogame like targit experience, although financing such tech would still be problematic..For navigation, there is also the solution I use for getting around on stage, (or at least making sure I dont fall off the front), namely sash cord and tape.The problem however is even if a commercial arena were willing to take on these sorts of access fixes, whether t
 hey would make for something competitive I dont know. My own laser quest games with a guide I wasnt exactly Mr. Invincible and always got the lowest score, it was just something I did for friends birthday parties.

Hello,So Im playing prometheus, using VIP for the useful soundpack.Im having a problem though, that being I cant seem to use the numberpad for movement. Is this possible? Only it would make things a lot quicker in manual navigation. Thanks in advance.

A question

Hi.My question is this, why are there still games in the database that are either to old,or dont work on newer systems.These games have been here for years and as far as I know, nothings been done. Why is this. If you run a site, the idea is to keep the site up to date, is it not?Sure some games might run on xp and some people might still have xp but honestly I feel that quite a few of these games could go.Oh and on another toppic, is anything being done about eric the cleric? I bought the new update about 5 months ago now. If not, is there any way I can get my money back? I doubt it but Im kind of pissed, that i gave money to a compony who promiced so much but yet gave so little.

Dark pretty much said everything that I would say. So Id just echo what he said and emphasize that all I think are truly necessary would be some sort of audio censor equipment or even a vibration motor. But of course, this would be something that would cost a fortune. A friend of mine who practices MMA was talking about starting a VI fight club... that would be fun. hahaha.

Im pleased to see this is still a thing. Ive played the regular versions of the games, but seeing what an accessible version brings to the table should be interesting.I do hope that the movesets of the gym leaders arent exactly the same as they were in red/blue/yellow. If they are, this games going to be too easy. As I recall, Garys Rhydon at the end of the game has a moveset thats something like Horn Attack, Leer, Tail Whip and Horn Drill. Id love to organize movesets for the later gym leaders/elite 4, assuming you dont have a source already. I could make them challenging and competitive without being completely broken.

The default hotkeys on the numpad are rather... strange. You can go into the start.set file in your VipMud directory, if youre worried about breaking things make a backup copy, and remove the lines that include #key numpad at the beginning.
