thx for the answers they all worked but now I have more questions and suggestions lolwhen I am dueling how do I simply chat with my opponent and the people that's watching  instead of sending a private message to them?suggestions:1. I think it would be cool to have a ranking system based on your amount of wins and loses2. each player should have like a player profile that gives stats about them like there wins, loses, most played card etc3. when a player wins maybe he can be rewarded with points medals tropheys or somethinghow does this sound people?btw loving the game now that im finally getting the hang of it very assessable no complaints on this endlastly I seen there was a bleach mud I love that anime, is the mud any good?

I'm stil using a mac laptop simply cause that's what I've got and I have windows on it and won't be changeing any time soon. But there is a point where you realize that the iphoen is great but the rest of apple products for you, are shit. What pushed me to realize this? My wireless apple keyboard I got 2 or 3 days ago. It's small, it's light, it's fast, it connects quickly. It however, does not allow me to change speech or any other ring setting to a lower state. Higher is fine but lower, oh n, we can't do that. My music functions on the f keys, worked for an hour then just stopped for no reason. I did a bit of googleing and ternes out that this is a normal apple thing. And then I go to the driver in this thing and... 2005. the damn driver is in 2005. So I tried to update it but n, we can't do that either. I'
;ll be sticking to microsoft keyboards from now on. Once this one stops working or a better thing comes out.

Re: what language to code a text adventure?

2015-02-11 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Developers room : camlorn via Audiogames-reflector

Re: what language to code a text adventure?

Consider the following illustrative example.  It is a common enough situation and illustrates why things you aren't realizing are complicated actually are.  I'm going to walk through this at a high level.  I'm not telling you that it's time for a tool: if you are using this to learn a programming language, you will certainly come out the other side knowing it well.  That may be your goal, and a project like this will touch on just about everything except trigonometry and physics simulation.  3000 lines is what I would consider average for the basic engine itself if the intent is to approach the quality of an I7 title and assuming two things: the programmer doing it is well-versed in programming and the language being used is at a much higher level of abstraction than Purebasic (GC is a must here). You make a room with some objects, say an important key which is on a table.  The room needs to contain the table needs to contain
the key, otherwise you can't present it in all the ways you expect-looking at the table needs to show the key as on the table.  But it's on, not in.  And your room description should mention the key if and only if the key is on the table.Difficulties: transparent containers, changing an in to on, getting the string of the room's description (usually a constant) to change in a predictable manner based off a condition. You now wish to let the player get the key.  You have to be able to accept some or all of the syntaxes that the player might type.  One isn't enough: modern IF titles are flexible enough that it is rarely about guess the syntax.  To illustrate: "get key table", "get key from table", "get all table", "get all from table", the list goes on.  Keep in mind that this is a very simple command, and I haven't even touched on the possible combinations involving articles and
adverbs and objects which have long names and disambiguating what the player refers to.  And modern titles will often offer suggestions or ask you for clarification.  You're able to abstract this behind a function, but the thing you get out of it is going to be a struct of some sort describing an action, not a straightforward execution of that action.  And it's going to be a pretty complicated function, probably involving reading lists of data from a file or a huge array or something. So fine, you say, you can deal with all that.  But the table is a trap.  You now wish to do something instead of getting the key, up to and including modifying the game map.  In the world of game development, this is when people usually throw their hands up and bring in a *second* programing language--namely a scripting language.Which brings us to the final pair.  Your levels need to be stored separately from your game.  You're not going
to be able to do this with hundreds and hundreds of if statements.  You're going to almost certainly need some sort of general triggering and event system, you're going to almost certainly need some sort of scripting language, and you're almost certainly going to need to cram all this into some level file format.  Because it's complicated, you're now probably going to really want (though possibly not need) some program to help you edit it.  Keep in mind that every time you need a new feature, you have to go modify all the proceeding stuff. And the second closely related one is that for an IF title, you have to save the whole world.  Everything.  It's not enough to save the player or some of the world or anything.  You need to be able to write this format back out (possibly minus scripts and triggers) to disk.  Your saves are almost complete copies of your game.  People typically solve this by reaching for as
sociative arrays because otherwise you're going to have to write individual save functions for every single object.I could write a medium quality interactive fiction engine in Python, wherein I have the following things.  If you can find all of these in Purebasic, you're about 50% of the way there.  But this is medium quality, and yes, some of these are arguable.  Anyhow: automatic serialization of objects and all subobjects, including support for cycles (pickle); really, really, really strong string manipulation (built into the language); the most powerful template engine possible (solves the description problem, jinja2); scripting languages (use Python itself in your level format); a publish/subscribe system (for solving my table example, ironically it'd possibly be pyglet for this but writing your own event framework capable enough for this is maybe 40 lines); and tools for reading human-readable formats for my level design (yaml or json, avoid
xml like the plague imho).  Note that I've said nothing about parsers, parsers for natural language are an entire branch of study.  The thing that you have in Python that *might* help is called nltk, but using it is complicated, and it will improve the quality if anything at all, not give you a

Re: what language to code a text adventure?

For parser: yeah I was leaning towards creating a check input function that will be constantly called in the repeating loops of the game. If there is specific commands for a certain room, it can check if you are in that room, and only execute the command if you're there.inventory:this could be possible--an array and a few procedures would make that a duable feet, though there's likely to be a few bugs that will be harder to find and take some time to combat. but to get an item from the inventory, you could do something like this:for I = 0 to arraysize(inventory()) -1if textstring = "get "+inventory(I)\name);run through the inventory. see if the word or phraise after the word "get" matches any of your items in your inventoryinventory(I)\using = 1;if this is a weapon, when fighting it will always run through the inventory like we're doing in this for loop here. if it finds a weapon that you're using, i
t'll fight with that. I'm also aware of the fact, that you may be using multiple objects(say you're holding a light or something), so there will be a type variable, and the only way you'd get to fight with the item that had using set to 1 was if the type = "weapon" or something.;here's an example, in an optional if statement that might alter the text displayed, by checking if it's a weapon or not.if inventory(I)\type = "weapon"print("you wield a "+inventory(I)\name)elseprint("you start using a "+inventory(I)\name)endif;now, we display an error if you try to get an item that you don't have.elseprint("you don't have that item in your inventory.")endifnextnone of that code has been actually tested, but with my knolege of pb I'm pretty sure it's possible, but if it were to possess bugs I wouldn't be surprised--th
at's how code is. it doesn't always work how you want it to.well thanks for your help Cam. I'm learning.

Re: what language to code a text adventure?

Setting up the map is the easier part, in my opinion.  The scary part is the parser: you won't come close to things like Inform 7, you will have difficulty figuring out how to do custom one-room-only commands, etc.The map itself is an easier thing, though it is worth noting that Purebasic will possibly make properly freeing it difficult.  This is not an issue as you are not allocating and freeing maps all day long, and there's literally no reason that it can't just b in ram; nevertheless, this is one of the reasons I do not like the language (it's also a reason why i don't like C or C++).  The simplest way is to probably make a room struct that contains pointers for all the possible directions you wish to support, a function that takes a direction string and a struct and returns a pointer to the room in that direction or null, and a set of commands that allow movement in those directions.  You would probably end up abstracting the
command itself into another function: the movement command need not know specifically which direction, so long as it has its name, and so you can cut down the code specifically dealing with it by a factor of 8.  The code to display the room description belongs in a look function which is called both by the look command and the movement command; the latter, of course, only calling it on success. You haven't even thought about inventories yet.  Or the fact that one room specifically is on a ship, and how nice it would be to be able to have fore and aft instead of north and south.  Or how you're going to handle the probably hundreds of special cases that come up in an IF title.  I think it is possible to code an interactive fiction title in a general-purpose language and it may make a good learning project, but if the only goal is the finished game and not furthering yourself as a programmer, you're going to end up duplicating at least 75% of wh
at one of the if-specific systems is giving you out of the box, and you're going to have a lesser set of features.  Something like inform 7 gives you inventories and exits and all that and then keeps going, well beyond the features you have thought of needing at this time.  The one thing they're not very good at is stats and mud-like combat systems, but if you're thinking of doing something with stats and mud-like combat systems, you might as well learn C and set up a mud codebase.  If you know Purebasic, you're so close to C it's scary. As for special software and seeing your code, yes to the first and no to the second.  Most of us who play interactive fiction already have that software; it is by no means hard to get going these days, and ironically enough I believe the Braillenote also has it (it did at one point, it's how I first played curses).  Glulx and the various z-code versions are what your game gets distributed a
s, and these do not contain your code in a format that is easily decompilable.  Unless you are making a commercial title, though, there is literally no reason for you to care-if someone has fun decompiling the game and reverse engineering it, that's still fun with the game and it still gave value to someone who might have otherwise not bothered.Your mileage may vary with Inform 7, but it's how a number of the authors in the actual community do it.  For example, Counterfeit Monkey by Emily Short, which was actually quite fun; she's won a number of awards for her titles as I recall.  The problem with Inform 7 is the IDE; it works fine with Jaws, should work fine with NVDA now that they fixed a word wrap issue, but is still more annoying than the command line IMHO.  You can't use the command line with I7, but if I did an IF title I'd still use it.  It's the closest thing to art I have ever seen or heard of in programming--the
entire thing reads like a description of an environment and not like a program.  For example (off the top of my head, but I'd be willing to bet quite a lot that this is perfectly valid, and if it's not the compiler is actually probably going to suggest how to fix it):A box is a kind of thing.  Boxes can be rounded or square.  Boxes are usually square.  The red box is a box.  The red box is in the living room.  The red box is rounded. Here's an actual library, specifically for handling liquids.  Read it and see if Inform 7 is something you want.  Be sure to go far enough to see what actual I7 logic looks like, as the first bit is just telling you about what liquids and their containers can be.  That's probably the best way to make a decision; their tutorial basically starts with examples, continues with examples, and ends wi

Hi.Please make a exicutible program. Steme is not that accessible. Yes I know there's work arounds to using it but it's very fiddley for someone who just wanted to download the game and play it. I'll be honest not wanted to sound rude or anything like that, but this needs to be done. Not a lot of blind people will have steme and will be quite disapointed and probably quite annoyed if they backedthe project only to find it's on steme and steme alone. I've not looked at the kick starter page yet since I can't donate yet. I hope this doesn't come across as rude.

Hello,@ogomez: That's good to hear that you've sent something to them. The trouble is, the website can actually be unblocked, but guess what? The interface doesn't work with a screen reader, go figure. I have also discussed reasons for and against having an antivirus and even said what you said basically, but it's my friend's choice in the end and they want to keep it on their system. The best thing we can do is try to cater for all users. I don't even know why the thing's blocked in the first place, that's what baffles me. Is it the host? Is it because it's a new site? Seriously, I don't get why so many antivirus programs are, well, so paranoid. I know they're trying to help but surely there's better ways, a more crowdsourced approach? I recently created a website and showed it to my friend and it works just fine, butfor some reason yours is just... blocked.Btw, my friend specifically mentioned macafee site a
 dviser, not macafee antivirus.

Re: what language to code a text adventure?

Since I got the attention of experienced programmers, can you tell me how I might go about setting up my map?as for movement, don't worry, I think I know how I'd set that one up.But for the map, would I need to create a structure for maps, to create it?how might I set it so that it plays a description for a square when you step on it? for example you head north from the back wall and it reads, "standing before a stone door."I set it up to do this, unfortunately when I tried to open the door, though the door opened, it repeated the description of the square. my theory is that because it's in my repeat loop to check if you're on that square, it's constantly executing that, so when I open the door it knows that my y position is still 1 so it says the description. So yeah. how would I set up my map, and how would I determine descriptions for each position? Do I need an array for all positions on the map? do I need multi
dimentional map because it's x and y?Or, should I have to make a map structure, would I have to define some random descriptions, so that each time I moved on the map, it would play one of them? And if there was an object nearby, or a wall nearby, it would say something like "door to the east" or "wall to the south?"don't worry. you don't have to tell me how to make it determine if an object is near, because I know how I'd do that. Just how to set up the map.@camlorn oh lol, I hope I don't have to use 3000 lines to set up a map in pb(:D). if I have to do that I'll go to inform7. but if you have inform7, don't you need to make the user install external programs, and can they see your code? Thanks a bunch,Steven

For example: /smoothgunner test. You can see the information of a card, by either typing info and the letter or number of the card, or by typing the letter or number of the card and hitting enter. You will have three or four choices then, depending of the card, you have chosen. However, one of these choices is I for info. The same goes for the cards on your opponents side of the table. To be honest brad,it sounds like from reading the docs Pontes downloader just uses both of those programs, just together and with a good interface, and is also very fast, so I'll stick with it for now sinse it's doing more than what I want, indeed I'm introducing my mum to the program who is no where near computer literate, but won't have a problem with basic edit areas and list boxes, and is a big fan of listening to music on youtube.

Oh yes. That's sort of what I was thinking. Here's how the level system would work. (Give me suggestions on new level types, guys!):Regular levels - levels with normal ships. You move your ship with the left and right arrow keys.Gorbian levels - you use up and down to align yourself with the ship and use the left and right arrow keys to target it.3D levels - You use all four arrow keys to find the ships location, align yourself with it, and target it.I need sounds for all three types of these levels - regular, gorbian, and 3D. Perhaps, even, the bonus rounds, too?

Re: online dating sites, and help please.

Hi allMy 2 cents for what its worth. From a security standpoint, these sites are probably a good way to get a virus or worse.I have had friends that have found a date that way and are long term and all that stuff but I have also had a friend that lost all his cash and identity on one, and found friends that either just wanted sex or never showed at all.I had a friend a good friend who got bored, gambled, and well lost his wife and such because of such site.Never mind the news, over here in new Zealand we get a lot of Australian news. There has been at least 3 times when someone gets a date, and then that person kills them, in suspicious accidents. No one comes foreward and the cases are dropped but online dating sites are just a bad idea. Then there is the fact that unsavery people look for kids to do nasty things to on these chat nets. You may find it better to talk to people on social network sites or actual social clubs not spaci
ffically dating related.Or you can just wait as I have been doing, to be honest you will know when you get the right one.If you look you may get more or not or none at all or if you get something it may be wrong or you will loose it.Being that we are disabled we are more easy to pray on and as it is cash for us is limited.Sometimes I go and spend cash on various things but to be honest I have to be carefull.A family sure I'd want one but I'd need some sort of semi income first I mean to be on a benefit is fine but having no cash is really not something you want a family in.

Re: what language to code a text adventure?

That said, something like Inform 7 gives you a *lot* of free stuff.  They usually implement rooms and objects for you, a capable parser that can accommodate much more natural language, etc.  You can certainly do it in Purebasic, but you will also have to implement the framework: how do players move, exactly?  Whereas something aimed at IF development gives you all that for free, and you can focus on the art and not the details.  I know that the inform 7 tutorials are very, very well-done, but the inform 7 IDE can be somewhat annoying.  It's up to you, and I think it depends on if you're at the point in programming where learning a new language is faster than implementing 3000 lines of code or so to do stuff.  Eventually, new languages take an hour or two, not a week or two; that said, in this case and somewhat ironically, Inform 7 specifically can be hard on veteran programmers whereas new programmers tend to like it a lot.

You'll need to learn Android app development.  I've seen mention of something that lets you use Lua, but can't remember the details on it; nor do I think that you can proceed without knowledge of what Android apps look like, anyway.  At minimum, this involves installing (but not necessarily using) either Eclipse for Android or Android Studio.  You can find info on using gradle from the command line to build your app.In short, learn Java and learn Android app development from any tutorial or book you can find.  ALternatively, hope I'm right about the Lua thing and that whoever did it posts here.  As a new programmer, however, I would strongly suggest first making some games for PC.

Re: Three Monkeys

We have a tech demo which we've taken to shows like EGX and Launch Conference (the latter of which being where you heard people describing their experience with the game) - but it was more to test our technology and offer some kind of proof of concept. Obviously that work will form the base of what we go on to develop with the main game, but it's far from representative of the finished game.

Re: new kickstarter project: smart 3D headset

It seems the only difference between this and my 5.1 roccat cave headset is the motion sensing, and the ability to use it with a mobile device. How it will fare at these prices I'm not sure, a lot of it depends on the audio quality and the quality of the companion software as well.It seems to have been funded with plenty of time to spare, though from the sounds of things I don't think they really needed the kickstarter. It looks like one of those cases where a company uses Kickstarter to drum up interest in a product and to offer preorders, the delivery date is only june and they even say the moulds are ready to go so it's just a matter of production, quality control, packaging and distribution.

Re: what language to code a text adventure?

I would think a text adventure could be built using any programming language.  Personally, since you are already comfortable with Pure basic, I recommend just using that to make your text adventure. When I need to divide large numbers by each other, and no calculator is handy, I scribble out long division.  That is what I was taught growing up, and other people of different locations or age groups may have been taught something different.  Two alternate processes called double division and the partial quotient method are also designed to give you the result of dividing 2 numbers.  There is no actual "right" or "wrong" choice when picking one of these methods, because they are just that... methods.  These are just different ways you can lay out your problem and organize the logic as you work through the problem. In the same way, Object oriented programming is just one (of several) ways to help you organize the logic of your p
roject.  The Object oriented programming approach is popular, just as long division is currently the most popular (I believe), but this is not because either is necessarily the "best".  So in short, never look down on your chosen language (Pure basic) because it is not object oriented in nature.  It does not make it any less capable as a programming tool.

Gundam is if anything more playable than Samurai Warriors 4... since the arenas are smaller. The trick with gundam of course is that there's a lot of shooting from a distance which can be tricky. The translation guide I posted doesn't have any character info, but they aren't too complicated to figure out. As for Gundam, I've completed all the civilian missions aka the first set you get when you get the game, and completed arcade runs with some of the characters... but I haven't played the game in months.

Re: help with soul trapper

Hi SLJ.  Yes, this is why I suggested that Hanif turned VoiceOver off completely and learned the location of the buttons.  This is necessary if you want to be able to do the battles, especially the last one; since like you said, swiping is much too slow.  The thing to remember about the final battle is that the buttons are smaller and not what you're used to.  So to work around this, you'll have to lose a few times to learn their location, but it will be even more difficult if you relied on VoiceOver to get you through the other battles since you won't have mastered the basic locations beforehand.  To any who may be wondering, this game is completely playable without sighted help.  It will take a little time to get used to things, but it's an interesting experience and fun to learn.  VoiceOver isn't required to play, only to select levels.  The rest is up to you.

I'd say a 360 viewpoint, with you able to navigate around the battle field. If you've played Troopanum 2.0, you'll probably have hurd of Gorbian levels. This will be basically a combination of Gorbian levels and normal ship levels. The only added bonus is that you will have no target beeping noise (unless, of course, you enter horizontal mode). You will be able to here your ships ambience, be able to use many different weapons, etc.For sounds, I'd say some really cool sounds for the troopanum 2.0 ships as well as some of my own. I don't know what to call them.

I can do sounds for most things. I just need to know what kind of style game it's going to be, is it meant to be like an old style arcade? Or is your point of view from within the ship where you're turning in first person to aim the laser in a 360 degree motion, or is it like a slide shooter where you just move across the bottom of the screen pointing up and firing missiles at incoming ships. I'll also need to know exactly what sounds are required, you can write this up in a notepad document and send me a dropbox link for it if you want my help.

Re: SoundRTS optinal soundpack

Since you are using SoundRTS 1.2 alpha 9, you already have the crazy mod. Activating it works the same as activating the sound pack. Open the SoundRTS.ini file again, scroll down to "mods = soundpack" and add the proper name of the crazy mod folder, so in the event of using the version of the crazy mod, which comes with the currently latest alpha version of the game, the folder is called "crazymod8.2". Eventually the line should look like this: "mods = soundpack, crazymod". The final thing you have to do is to launch the game and enjoy playing.

Hi.This is very long time since I've played the game.As far as I remember, there is a big difference between the demo version and the full version regarding to accessibility. All buttons which can be labeled are readable with Voiceover. the last two buttons when swiping from the left to the right on the screen are not labeled. One of the buttons is the map and I don't remember what the other button does. When catching souls, the buttonsaren't always labeled. This is because the buttons are arrows . Those arrows are different depending on the fight and depending on what arrows are needed. The standard layout is as follows:The first button is the arrow pointing forward, which is the center arrow. You need to press this if the sound is played in the middle. The NeXT button is the left arrow, and the NeXT is the right arrow. In some battls, you first need to catch a soul, and then press an other button to do something about it. This
button is mostly the first button, but in other battles, this is the last button, accept for the two very last buttons where one of them is the map. Some people manage to turn off Voiceover while fighting. I have tried, but I can't hit the buttons, so it won't Work for me.The only place where I'm stuck is in level 18 while fighting the last boss. Swiping is too slow, and if you, like me, can't press the buttons right when VO is turned off, you'll need sighted help in this part, which is really a shame.Accept for this, I'll totally recommend this super awesome game. This is a must play for every fan of audiogames. And yes, the game is challenging, and not something which you just play through in one hour. the story is really good, and there are great action and awesome cutseens. The puzzls are interesting as well.

Re: Super Airik the Cleric Now Available

HI.I actually agree fully with SLJ.I understand the game has no security, which is kind of silly to be honest. since I did give the game to Bashue. Honestly I might be getting a modderation by saying that but to me, that doesn't matter. I'll admit it, since he never got his email from the developer. I'm also done with this game. It was a nice idea in the beginning but now I'm kind of annoyed that I bought it. Considering that I did pay for the game and a couple months later for eric the cleric 2 when that was anounced ages ago, or maybe it was this version. But I still payed for this version. Why not have an email you copy everyone into that you know have bought the game? That would make a lot more sense than sending emails out like this. The developer is nice, i just think he needs to think about how he's selling his games.

Hi.You can just download the latest Sound RTS unstable release normal installer from the website. The crazy mod is build into this release. To start the mod, you have to create your own server, just create a private server. Then you can play the mod.

@fill, Hahahahahaha! .@dark, possibly. I'll see what I can do.@all the rest of you, Thanks for all your suggestions. Don't force them all on me right now; I haven't even finished the menu system because I can't find any good sounds for the ships and such. I've got some menu music already; just don't have in-game music or ship sounds. Could any of you provide me with any of this? Also, a good score server written in PHP would be nice. (It has to actually work!) I can upload it to a server I have access to to have the game send get and post requests to that PHP script and voila.Right now, though, I need music. Music and sounds...

Re: Three Monkeys

@SLJ - interesting comments Steam. Our intention is to make the game as accessible as possible, so we'll absolutely look at a DRM free version that will be free of Steam's infrastructure, too. We'll also be looking at a Mav version at some point, should the Kickstarter succeed. As for your question on unlockables, secrets etc -- this is absolutely something we'll be looking to build into the game, and I'm keen to encourage players to stray from the main path wherever possible. The game will have Tarot cards as a collectible, which will be hidden throughout the game world. As for your final question, if the game is on GOG - or you have a DRM free version - you should be able to give this to your friends without too much hassle. @Jayde - our target is actually fairly modest when you consider everything involved in bringing such a project to life. We have coders, designers, script-writers, producers and - eventually - a host of voice acto
rs who will be working on the project. None of this comes for free. In fact, our Kickstarter target is less than we'd ideally need to do the game justice, but we've had a lot of interest in the game, and hope to open other forms of investment. I understand your concerns - but yes, our target is a drop in the ocean compared with many Kickstarter campaigns for games. Hopefully that sheds some light on the financial side of bringing the game to life. I think - based on your comments - it might be worth us adding a breakdown of costs to the page, so you can see exactly where the money will be going @Douglas1 the game will incorporate it's tutorial mechanics into the adventure itself, so you should pick up how to play the game AS you play the game. Hope that answers your question? --If you have any other questions, do shout -- I'm keen to do a
Q&A at some point, as part of the campaign

Hello Slj, with me Jyro was Always kind, I've bought  like you the game some years ago. I've requested the updates and patch and Jyro sent me a mail one day after. The only thing I have to say about this game is new skout working, that especially in last area is impossible to skout without dying because you have to move a step in a direction to skout, and in complicate area, where you have lava and pitch in both side, is impossible to know where to go. I hope Jyro knows that I am pointing this for a positive reason, because with a little correction, permitting for example to turn without moving the problem will be resolved.

Re: Death match a new beginning, online roleplaying science fiction MMO

Ah, just when I finally fixed my Windows8.1 pc to finally run DMNB, dan moves, server crashes. Dan, regarding my fixed issue, it was a Windows8.1 feature that needed to be installed. It said direct play, but I suspect that is a new version of what once was direct X. The only reason why I know it was a Windows feature is because I tried to play Zero-sight flight simulator earlier this morning, and Windows immediately informed me that in order for that game to work, I need to install the Direct Play Windows8.1 feature, or else my software may not work. Then I installed said feature, after which Zero-sight did work. Then I tested DMNb, just to see if that might work, I wasn't sure if it would or not, just tested the water, and sure, the game started up, but I had an old version of it on my machine, if one takes into account when last I posted on this topic, that was approximately the age of my DMNB on the pc.So yes, Direct play fixed the problem on my side, I also download
ed the newest version from said link in first post, but only a pity the server decided to let you down once more, when you moved.
