@Dark, I am also a fan of the original Transformers. As you said the plot and action ratio was well done for an animated series and wasnt over done. While the storylines werent necessarily the best it worked. I really enjoyed the series as a whole as a kid, and still enjoy watching the original Transformers more than I do some of the modern spin-offs like Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Prime, etc.As you might have suspected I was also a huge fan of He-Man in the 80s as well as She-Ra. Looking back on it some of the storylines for the shows might not have been the best written plots, but over all as a series it was well done. It had pretty decent acting, fairly good animation for the time, and there was a decent balance between action and plot. I especially liked the mixture of science fiction and fantasy as it made it unique.On one hand we had castles, swords, dragons, and magic which are strongly associated with fantasy. On the other we saw science fi
 ction elements like freeze rays, flying windraiders, robots, and other aspects from a more science fiction themed story. That blend of science fiction and fantasy was new to me at the time, and was all the more interesting because of it.Even to this day I am still something of a He-Man fan. I have both He-Man and She-Ra on DVD, and occasionally watch them on Hulu. I think it is a testament to the shows creators that even after 30 years or so Im still a fan of the show and prefer it over more modern cartoons. I have even got my son into it. Although, I dont believe he likes it as much as I did when I was his age.

Ok.Angry rant ahead.Must people forget the concepts of decency, politeness, and everything in between? Honestly if I was a sighted user and I looked at this forum and this was the first topic I saw, I would leave and never look back.I understand the people involved in this fight or whatever this is are between 13 to 20, but seriously? guys? Im like 14 and I dont do stuff like this. The only way I could justify this is if you had a battle to the death and you were hurling insults at one another.If it was only this topic, I could understand. Its ok, problems do happen. But everywhere I see ethin posting something, and in stead of creating a constructive argument or the age old lost mystical technique of just ignoring the post, we start flaming.There was a time when someone posted a topic, everyone expressed their appreciation, maybe gave constructive criticism. But I guess that time has passed now.If you get satisfaction from fla
 ming others, I wont stop you. I will just note though that if you keep doing stuff like this no one new will want to join the community. There are hundreds of helpful, kind, polite, constructive members in this community. But in stead, what we show to the world is a community infighting. If you have personal problems, ok. But maybe, just maybe, try to keep your thoughts to yourself for another day when you dont have those problems and can be more constructive.

I do agree this topic should go die. but anyway, I have tried giving constructive critisism to the termonater many times, but im not gonna try starting things up here, that isnt my point, guys, ive been threw more drama situations then you know. Hell, ill admit it, there was a time, when I first got skype, and a said person added me, and that was when it all started with me. It got me into depression damn fast because I thought most people were against me and that nothing I could do is right. Dispite my last post, steve is a great guy, termonater can have great potentual, I laugh and joke with steve and the termonater helped me make a spanish lang file in stw, but sometimes, these topics, I agree do get out of hand. And I hate to say it but at times it can be the person. Thats another option, and not a bad one at that. Heres my suggestion. if you like the product, post here. If you dont like the product but are intrested in helping said developer improve it, post here. If you hate the developer, dont post it here. Note this might not go well with my other post but I wish now I hadnt posted it, cause I made the mistake of posting with out really thinking. Thats what most of these people really need to do, is think it all the way threw, what the effects of the post could be. I man, heck I dont know, maybe my post is all over twitter for some reason

In any case, there is enough criticism in this topic to go on with, and Id ask moderators to watch this topic and make sure that any further comments stay off forum, subtle insults and sarcastic comments included if theyre directed at someone personally. Just my thoughts, as a non moderator and someone who just wants to keep a bit of the peace.

I agree. If you dont mind, heres exactly what happens, so people who dont mean to start anything can look and see for them selves. So I created this thing, my little rotation package, and all was going well, people liked that thing, I actually have an update in store for it, and ethin liked it and posted, id like to atempt to calaberate with you, pm me if your intrested. And I had 3 options at that point. I could 1. Say my thoughts on the forum, weather they be bad or good, and if bad, leeds usually to the downfall of the piece in the topic. or, 2. Send him a pm to atempt to calaberate, dispight what others might say. or 3. Just not pm him at all if I wasnt intrested. Then, the next thing I know, we got steve here, posting and saying oh, well thats not a good idea, hes not a good person and thats steves opinion. And then, as soon as one bad thing comes up, that can be all it takes for a topic to explode out of hand. I just ignored what ste
 ve said in that post, I wasnt gonna start anything, but its not my choice if other people like ethin, decide to fight. Honestly, if thats what you want and you want public, go get a free domain, install a pub-bb forum of your own and call it rantings tward hated, if thats all you guys want. Hey guys,Havent posted on here in a while. Decided to play the game some more after a long break. Have some questions: first, is there a way to copy all weapon hints and descriptions to a document, or must I go through them one by one, translate, then copy to clipboard? this could take a while as Im missing tons of weapons hahaha. and lastly, anyone know why this latest instant translate takes so long to bring up the results? doesnt happen all the time, but most of the time it starts beeping and takes an eternety to do anything. its annoying and wastes a ton of time, not to mention it could easily get me killed while I wait for some important bit of text to translate. Anyway to fix this? how about the multiple hotkey issue? can I set it up how I had it with old version where a single hotkey was used to translate text? thanks for any help!

There could be several reasons. This is just a guess, but I think the main reason for this is Japanese have higher expectations for their projects. when they develop something, they go into it with the mindset, Im gonna make the coolest, longest, awesome game I can think of with dozens of levels and a cool story, and itll be better than any of my previous games. But overhere, months before games are released, you read the descriptions, and you see something like, this game will contain 10 action pumped levels and will cost 30 dollars. Maybe they got it easier in Japan, perhaps their economy is stronger and they dont need to rush games out to make a few bucks, I dunno, all I know is that based on the Japanese games Ive played, they put a lot more love into their projects than American devs. Here we have tons of projects that either never see the light of day, or are underwhelming in their offerings. Lets take BK3 as a Japanese example since
  that games totally awesome: some time back, when BK3 was still relatively new, Yukio posted a message in the forum mentioning hed be willing to come out with a game that costs a few bucks, but that this game would be fully translated into English with professional acting. Which means he was already thinking of a way to outdo himself on his next project, just like he did for his previous games. This isnt something you usually see devs do over here. they will release a side scroller, then 2 years later, release, another side scroller with new weapons, but if you take a closer look at it, its essentially a mod. Same game for the most part, new sounds. Theres 0 innovation in that. Perhaps this is the reason Im so frustrated with this game, I hadnt purchased an audio game in years for this reason, and when I read Psychos description, I went finally! an awesome high quality game. only to be disappointed in what I got. again! ugh, how many t
 imes must this go on? Parralous hearts had incredible potential, and I tackled this game thinking itd be a similar experience, which was totally my fault. If I offended anyone, I apologize for that, but its so hard not to get frustrated when you see so little progress after so many years. On the other hand, we see all these indie video game dev teams of similar size to ours create masterpieces. its not a community problem, stop blaming the fact these are one-man projects. because If Aprone can create Swamp, and Yukio created BK1, 2, and 3, by himself, this obviously means it can be done.

Hi all.I’m so extremely proud to announce this, and I’m still in a phase where I find it difficult to believe that it’s true.I have just completed the first episode of Game of thrones called Iron from ice. The series is made by Telltale games, which makes some very playable games. I have tried others of their games, but I’ve always got stuck at some point, mostly because something wasn’t playable at all. But the first episode of Game of thrones is fully playable without sighted help at all. I only needed some explanation on what to do once in the first episode, and I can easily explain that for others wholl need that. The game is still playable when you know what to do.Introduction to the Telltale games and how they work.Please note: All what I have written here in this post so far have taken me very long time to figure out, mainly because I don’t have sighted assistance very often. I got my ps4 at the easter, where I started to mess around with the games from Telltale. There are still a lot of things which I haven’t figured out yet, and I hope you will help me to figure out the rest, so we hopefully can get as much out of those games as possible.All the Telltale games works the same way, which some people find boring and others find it really great. This is like the games from Choice of games where you make your own choices which can change the gameplay. You have to walk in the game, but you don’t have to walk much. That is of corse very different from game to game. But you usually don’t have to walk much.So, the games are like a movie where you have to interact with things to either make your own choice or to continue the game.The controls:I have only played the games on my Playstation 4, but I know some of their games are made for ps3, XBox 360, XBox one and other consoles as well. I’m not sure if there are any pc versions of their games.Here is the controls for the ps4 versions of the games:Left analog stick: Moves the character. It is quite important to know how the character moves, since it makes the games much more accessible. I don’t remember what that’s called in english and I’m sorry that I’m not very good at explaining this, but you are looking down at the character from above, and when you move the character, the character is moving in and out of the screen and the picture of the room is following your characters movements. It is also very important to know that when you move the analog stick left or right, you don’t turn the character, but sidestep as far as I know. I’ll correct this information regarding to sidestepping in the future if I’m wrong on this.The right analog stick:The right analog stick is used to look around, and again, this does not turn your character. This is very important to know how the analog stick works, since this is your primary control in the game. And yes, believe me or not, this is accessible if used correctly, and I’ll do my best to explain how this works.When moving the right analog stick, the character is looking in the direction you are moving the analog stick in, and always keep in mind that the character is looking from his own perspective. That means you can’t look at everything in the room without walking.So here is how all this is doable:Imagine all this as a coordinad system. You push the right analog stick forward and hold it for a few seconds to make sure that you are looking up in the air, and then push it left until you’re sure that you are looking to the left. Then, you can move it right until you are sure you are looking to the very right, quickly press it down once, start moving it to the left, push down once, move it to the right and continue until you are sure you have looked in any directions.Please note: You can not turn your character, which means you can only look to the left and to the right, and not look in 360 de grees like all the way around.Interacting with objects, speaking to someone and making your choice:When you wanna interact with something, this is mostly done by pressing x. When you are looking at something or when you wanna talk to someone, this is mostly done by pressing triangle. Please note that this is different from game to game and different depending on the situration in the game. There are times where you can interact with objects in more than one way, say different things to people etc. but x and triangle are used for this in most siturations.Making your own choice is done by pressing either x, circle, triangle or square. There are something to keep in mind: 1: The choices can be spred out on all those 4 buttons depending on how many choices you have. The buttons never change for the same question if you play the same chapter again, but you never know what kind of answer you are giving, if you for example just press x to move on. I’m not totally sure on this, but it seems like x will give the most positive answer and circle or triangle will give the most

@Cae, not sure about those fanfics, though i could see books doing more justice to super hero character, although to be honest lack of character is just part of my complaints with superhero fiction, random world building is another. Well Ive just come back from spending a day with my brother having an awsome meal at the brazillian bbq restaurant (dr. Atkins wouldve definitely approved), finishing Attack on Titan.The series ended very well, and in terms of action, well nothing can beat two giants slugging it out with intermitant attacks by the good guys on awsome O-d-m rigs, four way grapples that let them move like spiders. My only cryticism is firstly the dub was a little over dramatic, sinse there are only so many times you can hear phrases like This living hell and not be rather narked. The second is that I did feel we learnt literally nothing and there were moments where the plot went rather sluggish. My brother believes titan is going to 
 be one of the long Anime, going for 5 or 6 series, where as most of that type tend to go for a couple, so that might be why, but it was still slightly frustrating in that the ending didnt really feel conclusive, it was rather down beat. On a total change of pace we then began watching another anime series, future diary, which couldnt be more different from attack on titan. The premise is that the ruler of the universe sets up a game where 12 people get diaries that predict the future in various interesting ways, and the one left standing at the end gets to be the next god (supposedly). I rather like the way the hero was sucked into it, and some of the plays with future events are really quite clever, like one woman who has a clairvoiant diary that predicts specifically all the people around her personally and what they could all do, was able to capture another diary holder who was a criminal whos diary was the escape diary, which showed her her own po
 ssible future escape attempts. Disturbingly, the main characters diary (which takes the form of texts on his phone), predicts only the basic details of events around him, sinse he only ever wrote about what he saw in his life not what he did, while the main girls diary, worryingly called the diary of love), predicts what he! the main character does. Not anything else, just everything about him, and if your wondering if said girl is a rather creepy possessive stalker? The answer is yes! Its a series that is both lots of fun and rather clever in terms of plots, actually it reminded me of some of the weerder bits of Doctor who and not just the time aspect, so Ill be interested to see where it goes particularly sinse it has a distinct ending (unlike Titan).

@Patjk,Im not banging my head against a wall. Nor am I speaking of any one game, or one developer. I am saying that I simply do not understand, and I am curious about why, as a general rule Japanese games tend to be of better quality over those made in the states. Its not a matter of cost, since every Japanese game Ive played has been totally free, yet the quality of sound, gameplay, etc. has been superior to those here. Its not a matter of the development team not being big enough as so many devs in the states claim, saying that because theyre only a solo developer or in a team of two or three they cant do it, since the Japanese ones had only one developer in most cases. Im simply curious because all of the claims made by U.S. developers about budget constraints or number of people to work on a project are the same limitations shared by their Japanese counterparts, yet the Japanese games te
 nd to be of superior quality. As I said before, I doubt very seriously that Yukio, a mere child when he made BK2, was rich, yet his game surpassed anything we had in the states at that time in quality. And he was the sole developer on that project. Im saying that it is rather funny to me that Japanese developers face the same constraints that American ones do in terms of budget and man power, yet they somehow attain better quality. Being curious about the reasoning of that phenomenon does not mean Im beating my head against a wall.

Yeah, youll have to go through one at a time. I think theres a way to copy the entire menu to the clipboard, but thatll all be in Japanese and youll just have to translate them anyway. I dont know why the plugin takes so long to translate things, but if youre having to translate things at the risk of being killed, those are words you can just learn to memorize... since any major message will pause the game with a dialog bubble or box that comes up. lol

Hey guys,Havent posted on here in a while. Decided to play the game some more after a long break. Have some questions: first, is there a way to copy all weapon hints and descriptions to a document, or must I go through them one by one, ranslate, then opy to clipboard? this could take a while as Im missing tons of weapons hahaha. and lastly, anyone know why this latest instant translate takes so long to bring up the results? doesnt happen all the time, but most of the time it starts beeping and takes a year. its annoying and wastes a ton of time. Anyway to fix this? how about the multiple hotkey issue? can I set it up how I had it with old version? a single hotkey to translate text? thanks for any help!

Especially given that Yukio didnt even charge for BK2 or BK3, both of which I would have gladly paid for. I never played BK1, so I cant speak to that one. Shadow Line is also very pleasing, and that, too, is free. So I am confounded when I see such quality in games coded by one person, games which are completely free. The most glaring fact is that these games were coded by ONE person, yet the quality is amazing. Then I compare it to the games created by those in the States. I just dont get it. You hear, Well, its a one-man development crew. True, but so is Yukio. You hear, Well, finances are an issue. Maybe, but I seriously doubt that Yukio is drowning in money, just as I doubt the developer of Shadow Line is. It makes no sense to me. In fact, if I remember correctly, Yukio was very, very young at the time he coded BK2, a teenager I believe. So I doubt very
  seriously hes rich and can afford to spend massive money on development. Further evidence of that is the fact that he did it all solo. It is an anathema to me why the same isnt true of the developers in the U.S. as a rule.IMPORTANT: The above view is not directly related to psycho Strike or its development team. As I previously stated, this game has great potential for future releases.

ok, so first, note, im not gonna take sides here, im gonna post things here that I know about many people, just to clairify left open things here. amer or how ever you spell it, came on skype after I blkocked termonator and told me to go suck my d**k for doing that, and I bet I have the chats somewhare, I mean, it was on my skype account. Termonater has talked to me many times about hacking and now amer could hack if he wanted to... etc. And just to let you know, if this goes on, termonater might posibly spred it to places on the net whare it doesnt need to be. HRTF is something many audio games developers are very much missing in their games. People may be used to playing games, even ones that are 3d in stereo, but thats only because 90% of them have been built using direct sound 8 which only really supports stereo audio, and eax effect support was dropped post XP. The way developers solve the lack of behind sound problem is by doing one of 2 things, either lowering the volume or decreasing the pitch, both of which are quite bad.The few games that use HRTF work great for just about everyone I know. A few examples are the somethin else games on iOS (papa sangre, nightjar, audio defence). I wouldnt be surprised if you actually make this engine, youd get quite a few devs getting into js just for that reason alone.

As much as it bothers me when people rage about the games not working, I do get how frustrating it is... especially for the people who have been hoping for this sort of game for a long time. Id offer my personal guarantee that the game is worth all the effort, but that doesnt say much... the only recommendation I can give is switching your target language to English and making sure of those settings. Other than that, Im not sure whats going on... works fine on windows 7. Autodetect languages doesnt help anything, because then Google translate gets confused as to the language at times. The only time when instant translate should spit things back at you is when you try and translate from a language which is not that of the text youre trying to translate.

Hmmm Im a little confused concerning Chowys post. Does gaining a title still works the same way regardless of which method I choose to rank up? If I acquire the 9000 loot points or whatever its set at now, and I convert, do I then become HC? or will I then be for example, a private level 1 normal? Maybe I get to keep my levels, and I just go up a full rank? This would be pretty neat actually as it allows one to acquire a rank, without losing level progress. Would be great to get official confirmation from Aprone on how this works.

Moderation! Great explanation slj. However with the shenanigans with all the stuff related to walking around, especially not knowing what answer to give in each choice (and in Game of thrones as youd expect if you know anything about game of thrones, wrong choices will kill you!), I would agree with your assessment, playable but not accessible, therefore this topic properly belongs in general game discussion, sinse new releases is for highlighting the release of accessible games (and yes, I know this is sometimes a fine line). So, this topic is being moved. Heres an idea, instead of flapping your jaws or fingers, why dont you use that frustration and tackle the game making yourself? Im not discounting the fact that a word or two would be nice, but Im tired of all the moaning and complaining about how this game is meh coming from a peanut gallery of people who dont have any idea what there is to go through.Let me state what I had said in a previous post, again. Theres limitations with any engine you use, and I think were seeing that here. Theres the possibility that due to family commitments, sickness, or he could be burned out and not want to do it. Thats true in the mainstream market as well. If you take a Japanese ersionofagame and then, lets say an American version of the self same game, youoften find that the American version has been dumbed down significantly and also censored. Admittedly some of that has to be done since Japanese pop culture isnt always going to translate well to English.

Hmm. Okay, if the languages are set from Japanese to english, Im not sure what the issue is then, it must be something with vista. Does it ever translate? or does protalker just always give you back the Japanese? And there has to be a way of switching keyboards on Vista... I just dont know what it is. But that feature has been there since probably before XP. Either way I do hope this gets resolved... its a shame that there isnt a team that is dedicated enough and knows the language well enough to translate some of these. But with a game that has hundreds if not thousands of lines of dialog, you cant be a one man team... and you have to also know the language and be able to translate properly. I would be more than happy to sit down and translate SR if the developers agreed, but I would probably kill myself in the process. lol

Hello. I think all developers should create language files as does Aprone. After each community is organized to translate the game.For example, games as Top Speed or sound rts, are in many languages.I do not know why Galaxy lavoratory not thought about the internalization of their games, because a game while English is much easier to translate into any other language.although it should be appreciated that the game can be translated at least with Instant Translate.Unfortunately that does not happen with the vast majority of games in English.@Braian Im sure you can switch keyboards, try looking on the internet how.greetings.

It doesnt help that there are two JA language options in Instant Translate settings in NVDA. Ive tried both. And as Ive said Ill ocasionally get English in the difficulty setting menu but thats it. Anyting lse I either continue to get gibberis or Japanese or I get noting at all, and yes this is with the Instant Translate command.

hi. So guys, theres some thing I wanted to bring up here. Basicly what that is, is how our rotation system, our coordinate system, how all of that works. Honestly, to say the least I hate it. What I want to do, is slowly start making it actually realistic. In the wild, we cant bounce off coordinates whare we are, I mean heck I could go on for hours about this, but anyway, I want it to be more for a tree, turn slightly to the left and go forward. Not like, 321, 142, 0. Honestly, if I add behind pitch decrease or behind volume decrease, its not hard to tell whats behind you and in front of you. I have this game whare you run in circles in this thing with electric walls, I might post it up here, in fact the code is on the rotation topic, just throw in your sounds, download the rotation package and put the includes in there, and get your sounds. Its not that bad. And in that thing, you cant check your coordinates nor what degree your facing. And it frees 
 you from this bond of, oh, I have to face this way, north, snap, exactly. For this game which is ment to be realistic, I just dont like it. I mean, think of O and M. You use landmarks. like a pile of weeds somewhare. If I did this, id make it so there was a true sun. On the morning, the sun would rise in the west, and you would get to make a sound or something in what direction the sun is facing, and it moves east threw out the day. I think im going to do it, but slowly. Also id add a key to scan for tile changes, like I said, for landmarks. I think it would make the game more realistic than you think. Yes, there would be a /where command, but it would say, to the left and forward, etc bassed on your direction. It wont happen now, but slowly. When you dont have coordinates and the direction your facing available to you, its just like, real. Like, you walk, you move, you dont snap north and sidestep left to a tree. I just hate it that w
 ay, I absalutely hate it and think that if I change it the right way, the game will be both playable and more awesome, and, about 25% more realistic.

Hi all.I’m so extremely proud to announce this, and I’m still in a phase where I find it difficult to believe that it’s true.I have just completed the first episode of Game of thrones called Iron from ice. The series is made by Telltale games, which makes some very playable games. I have tried others of their games, but I’ve always got stuck at some point, mostly because something wasn’t playable at all. But the first episode of Game of thrones is fully playable without sighted help at all. I only needed some explanation on what to do once in the first episode, and I can easily explain that for others wholl need that. The game is still playable when you know what to do.Introduction to the Telltale games and how they work.Please note: All what I have written here in this post so far have taken me very long time to figure out, mainly because I don’t have sighted assistance very often. I got my ps4 at the easter, where I started to mess around with the games from Telltale. There are still a lot of things which I haven’t figured out yet, and I hope you will help me to figure out the rest, so we hopefully can get as much out of those games as possible.All the Telltale games works the same way, which some people find boring and others find it really great. This is like the games from Choice of games where you make your own choices which can change the gameplay. You have to walk in the game, but you don’t have to walk much. That is of corse very different from game to game. But you usually don’t have to walk much.So, the games are like a movie where you have to interact with things to either make your own choice or to continue the game.The controls:I have only played the games on my Playstation 4, but I know some of their games are made for ps3, XBox 360, XBox one and other consoles as well. I’m not sure if there are any pc versions of their games.Here is the controls for the ps4 versions of the games:Left analog stick: Moves the character. It is quite important to know how the character moves, since it makes the games much more accessible. I don’t remember what that’s called in english and I’m sorry that I’m not very good at explaining this, but you are looking down at the character from above, and when you move the character, the character is moving in and out of the screen and the picture of the room is following your characters movements. It is also very important to know that when you move the analog stick left or right, you don’t turn the character, but sidestep as far as I know. I’ll correct this information regarding to sidestepping in the future if I’m wrong on this.The right analog stick:The right analog stick is used to look around, and again, this does not turn your character. This is very important to know how the analog stick works, since this is your primary control in the game. And yes, believe me or not, this is accessible if used correctly, and I’ll do my best to explain how this works.When moving the right analog stick, the character is looking in the direction you are moving the analog stick in, and always keep in mind that the character is looking from his own perspective. That means you can’t look at everything in the room without walking.So here is how all this is doable:Imagine all this as a coordinad system. You push the right analog stick forward and hold it for a few seconds to make sure that you are looking up in the air, and then push it left until you’re sure that you are looking to the left. Then, you can move it right until you are sure you are looking to the very right, quickly press it down once, start moving it to the left, push down once, move it to the right and continue until you are sure you have looked in any directions.Please note: You can not turn your character, which means you can only look to the left and to the right, and not look in 360 de grees like all the way around.Interacting with objects, speaking to someone and making your choice:When you wanna interact with something, this is mostly done by pressing x. When you are looking at something or when you wanna talk to someone, this is mostly done by pressing triangle. Please note that this is different from game to game and different depending on the situration in the game. There are times where you can interact with objects in more than one way, say different things to people etc. but x and triangle are used for this in most siturations.Making your own choice is done by pressing either x, circle, triangle or square. There are something to keep in mind: 1: The choices can be spred out on all those 4 buttons depending on how many choices you have. The buttons never change for the same question if you play the same chapter again, but you never know what kind of answer you are giving, if you for example just press x to move on. @Ryok, that is very much what a muslim I spoke to said about the Koran. He said it was a matter of not taking every word of the Koran one way, but of reding it every day and meditating upon the meaning as an exercise to get closer to god, which is a form of dedication I appreciate. @Assault freak, one thing to bare in mind about science and scientific explanations, is that there is a huge difference between believing say evolution is a process by which life on earth develops, and believing a huge set of what are to me rather wild assumptions about the general pointlessness of the universe, the random nature of humanity and even worse, some mad ideas about evolutions affect upon morality that certain atheists happen to believe. It always amused me when I was studdying biology, psychology and religious philosophy how much credence people who did not know about science placed in the explanetory power of science, as opposed to what the scientists themselves happene

Then of course, according to pantheistic views of god such as that of spinosa, the belief in God as continually working through a creative process which is still very much an ongoing thing, rather than the traditional christian and god said bam and created everything then put his feet up sort of view of creation is quite legitimate. Back when I still had an active faith, or supposedly vaguely practicing relationship with God I was quite the fan of process theology.

Ive made sure of the target language in Instant Translate several times.Ive also tried with both Clipboard and Autodetect. Its still not consistent. I did have some issues with getting Instant Translate to play nice with the original game but Im pretty sure it didnt take this lon to sort out. But Im guesing presing Alt=Shift is a Windows 7 thing because as Ive said before it doesnt work on my Vista 32-bit home machine.

yes I know its a port of nentindo for I once had it. though I cant see the game, it well, ill just say wasnt nothing even from a visual perspective for sighted people I knew tried it. I realise this is in earliesh stages, but I am having major issues running games on this using ASAP. the main one being that piledriver gave errors and the screen echo doesnt seem to work that well, as it wont always give me menu choices and flat out refuses to give wrestler listings on piledriver. eamon and others have also given me these problems. I wonder if Im doing something wrong?

always my plesure gd, i am happy to help ware i can.now, as for using different programs in different languages, as far as i no there is some modifications that certen programs makes, when interfacing with a system that uses a different language. i mite be grabbing the puppy by the tail here, but i think a good example is things like, trying to run a forren language program on a english system, and obviously, trying to run say a english program on a forren system. by forren i meen, any other language then english. as for you trying to install an english version of jaws. you see, i am not sure if freedom scientific licences jaws for language only, or if its tied to the serial number. so what u mite be able to do is to try. and actually start up jaws sixteen english version. and then install it. if there is no current jaws sixteen, it should not affect your licence. id need some other comunity members to just verify this for me. but i do not see h
 ow this can be an issue. as jaws should upgrade over the previous version. meening, it should allow you to keep, the previous version and all its settings. and it should not ask u for a licence, provided, that u are licenced to use that version. for example? if u only allowed to use up to jaws 14, installing number sixteen wil give u an tryile mode. so just be sure u are licenced to use up to sixteen. but as for language, stil allow you to use the english version.I hope all this helps. \Have a nice day

I, for one, do think thats a perfectly valid and constructive point.Maybe its cultural. The Japanese have much higher standards for education than we do here in the US.However, Phillip isnt from America, and he also started developing games at a young age. So did some of his American counterparts, such as Liam, and now Sam Tupy as well. Personally, I tend to cut young developers a lot of slack when theyre teenagers, just because it takes a hell of a lot of patience and intelligence to do any kind of programming, especially when youre a teenager, and patience is often in short supply during adolescence, lol.But thats kind of straying from the point, since Phillip is obviously an adult now. To be honest, I really dont have any answers. Anything I could offer would be pure conjecture, and I dont feel I know enough about differences between American and Japanese cultures to even try to draw comparisons.

Hi,this is so cool! I didnt have any problems getting speech to work, but the instructions from the readme to launch gwbasic games does not work. When I type for example gwbasic 4inarow.bas, it just tells me this is an illegal command. Besides, some of these games in this gwbasic folder do have a .bat extension or .sol, so how to open these? Like I said, using the command gwbasic just doesnt work.

Its like well let you write _javascript_ without writing _javascript_ and all that on top of an abstraction layer that you wont understand and that will slap you in the face every time you attempt something we didnt anticipate. I saw a few abstractions on top of HTML and _javascript_ in my career and Ive seen disappointed users, because it all only worked at first and sooner or later, hit the wall.If you want to learn _javascript_ and you already are a programmer, there
 9;s a very old book called _javascript_ - the good parts that you should start with. After that, theres an article Two pillars of _javascript_ that explains that there are better things in life than Object Oriented programming and class hierarchies.But back to what I wanted to say - I dont see any advantages in brython as a tool for creating browser audio games other than you already know python. Id aim for something more focused on putting objects in 3D space and rendering them with sound only.

Because, most mainstream games on pc dont even do it unless people mod it themselves. The thing with Aprones games is that there is only so much to translate... Shadow Line, Bokurano daibouken 3 have much more complicated text to try and translate. Story, emotions, all that has to be translated properly, and it can be difficult to do that. Something like swamp which is in many languages has less text, and less story driven dialog. Though language files would be an option, Galaxy Laboratory only hears from the people who actually already like the games and play them, not the people who want to see them translateed.

Ah, good to know. Steam is at the moment a bit of a dicy proposition access wise, sinse the only way to use steam at the moment is to physically ocr (scan for images), the entire screen, and then jigger around with a hole bunch of addons for various programs, thus going way beyond the same effort as a sighted person criteria for access that is used to define an accessible game on this site which is precisely why there is a petition on the subject as I understand. Im not sure huge companies like steam listen to petitions (nintendo etc never have), but the effort is worth making certainly, though I do hope for access reasons steam wont be the only option available from foralltoplay.I actually think the short lenght of Gttt wouldve been less of an issue if the game was more difficult or possible to lose, sinse manifestly a 30 minute game which a player has to replay choices of if he/she messes up along the way will last more th
 an 30 minutes. Also, I frequently foun in gttt I was using options I would not have considered using if it were possible to lose the game. Beware! here thar be gttt spoilage! read no more lest yee game be spoiled by the spoilers! For example, I was a little unsure as to the hole setting fire to the letters in the orphanage thing, sinse Hank goes in there trying to find an adoption form for an orphan, and setting fire to the place is certainly not something Id have considered if the game were loseable, indeed if the game had a more conventional adventure game setup where it wwas say use fire with letter rather than just a start a fire option it wouldve been a far tougher puzzle. Btw, I dont intend the cryticisms of gttt to be damning, I really did enjoy the game, particularly the rather nice bickering between hank and Tedi (which I tried to replicate in the news sinse I found it so amusing), as well as the rather mo
 nti python style take on King Arthur, it was all rather good fun and Id definitely recommend to anyone who fancies an hour or sos entertainment.

@Tom, Ive only got a second to comment on this and obviously its a big issue. To be honest I have real trouble with the idea of Faith as this magical thing that makes you stop reasoning. This is because many religious people who I have respected have also been extremely rational, reasonable people who do not naturally hold unrealistic beliefs, do not believe science to be the work of the devil, and would generally hold quite well with the study of biology, (including evolution), and astronomy. Ive always found this idea that those who believe the bible must be word perfect true (particularly sinse I am quite aware of all the translation shenanigans with different versions etc), frankly loopy and not really to have a lot with christianity. I believe this is partly a consequence of how I was bought up and the sort of christian traditions I saw, sinse as weve said on many occasions America is far more religiously extreme than the mains
 tream British perspective. This is why to me faith as it stands always means more the idea of meditation, practice and a personal experience of, and attempt to have a relation to God, rather than holding the truth of some explanations over others and being wildly insistant on the wrongness of scientists. While I understand the logic, I just cant mentally get the idea of burning copies of the origin of species or refusing to even take note of scientific arguements to sit with the idea of actual prayer and experience of God, the two things just dont seem connected. itd be like if someone said to me ah, you get an amazing experience from music so you must believe the earth is flat! (music of the spheres, medeival cosmology etc etc).As I said, I do see the logic if you believe that to be a christian you must! take the bible as word for word true, but mentally I just cant o the gynmastics to make it happen.

Hi!Ive got a problem with asap.When I run startbns.bat, espeak sais ready and then the dosbox launches.But when I type asap, it beaps but espeak is silent.Anyway its awesome that the emu is finally working. Playing the games in dosbox is much more convinient than running a virtual machine.

Dark, In all historical books Ive read since I started my school, I have found no date, neither about kurran nor bible. Theres been even no more information than muslims have their precious book Kurran, and catholics have bible. The information about when were these books brought to Earth is found in these books only, history studied at school doesnt involve these topics.In a documentary Ive seen, I heard something like universal laws. Probably thats what Brad is talking about?Universal laws indicate our senses, perceptions, feelings, emotions, even our preferences.Another important thing to say, is that we are supposed to be vibrational creatures. Vibrations are what make our senses work. if our body is in the same vibrations as someones body is, theres a probability that these two people to be remarkably similar in what they like, what they feel or love.This is just what Ive read recently.

@Severestormsteve1, The blind community should not need another OS! We have plenty of them! Ill answer your question: Yes, yes. I know youve made a game and web site and such. The OS isnt better than me. Want to know why? exactly what I said above. We dont need another OS. We have, at my current count, over 531 Operating systems in existence. Why do we need one for the blind specifically? Talking Arch-linux and other OSes can do exactly what SBSoft is trying to do, so theyre just reinventing the wheel, which will take more effort than is necessary developing other products. The AAGE project is seriously screaming fail. Also, Severestormsteve1, why do you always get mad at me with everything I post? One last time, These guys have some seriously dangerous tools at their disposal. I know. How do I know? I will not disclose that. All Im going to say is, these guys have lots of dangerous tools that can seriously endanger peoples computers

[[wow]], great to see this. I was ever interested in playing dos games, but I was to Young to Play them and so, i only heart of some interesting games. It would be great to see the PCS games included into talking dosbox. But in General, it is great to see that you include games andpograms already. I ewould be realy happy to see more of this, since it is easier for peopl like me who never used dos to have a complete package already. However, Keep up the great work Pitermch, this is awesome.
