Hello,It could be because if you purchased them they might be in the bases inventory and need to be equipped to your character.Or, it might be that oyu cant reload because theres still ammoe in your weapon.I havent played the game in a little while, but I may see if I can try to unlock the net few eapons. The trouble is, Ive forgotten my goal and there is no way to check it. Speaking of which... could that possibly be added to the suggestions list, the ability to check your goal?

I know that Liam Erven broadcasts from his PS4 and as far as I can guess from what hes told me its relatively simple. The only thing I dont get is how broadcasters with a visual impairment are expected to read the chat easily and react. Good thing is the title of the stream, as far as I know, is pulled directly from the game, so no need to fiddle about and set that up.

If we can observe, we can see that in the most games, blind people are oriented by killing others, combat and stuff like that. It was easy to setup streaming directly from the PS4, and though I havent tried streaming from Xbox One yet, I assume it would be just as easy. As for the PS4s ability to read back Twitch chat from streams - I know that a text-to-speech accessibility feature was introduced via a firmware update in March 2015, but I dont know if it supports Twitch chat.On the PC, if all you want is to setup a stream capturing game footage, you should be able to do it without help. If you are planning to setup a multi-scene stream (game footage, webcam, microphone, other on-screen media) you may need help from a sighted user to ensure that everything is setup properly. The nice thing about streaming from the PC is that Twitch chat will come in as live text, so you can use accessibility software to read the text and engage with viewers.

I thought Twitch was also used to store recorded gameplays etc.So, if I wanna record from my Playstation, is the tip regarding to getting Twitch to archive the stream still the way to go? @SLJI just want to step in and correct you in that Twitch is a service, not software. To broadcast your games, Id suggest using Open Broadcaster Software, as its fairly easy to set up and use with NVDA at least.See the OBS guide currently in the articles room for a bit more informationAs for your questions, If you use OBS, you can record pretty much anything on PC.In answer to your first question, you would probably have to upload to youtube rather than twitch, though you could technically stream your review to Twitch but its meant really for live broadcasts.@foralltoplayThe trouble with using accessibility software with PC streams to twitch, or any kind of twitch stream is at least when its off-console is that you cant re-route the screen reader to make sure its not heard on stream as OBS takes the audio from the desktop as well with no discernable way to disable it. ads by Dragon Branch shows up in a box on my Chrome. I do a lot of school work online, and I use multiple pages to do my work. 9 times out of 10, Dragon Branch ads pops up on the current website. I cannot remove this ad from the page. Dragon Branch is said to be an adware virus on many websites. Dragon Branch is a nasty adware or redirect virus that affects the performance of your web browsers severely. which is said by this page: http://www.pccaretips.com/blog/steps-to … sily.html. So, I tried to do multiple virus scans but nothing shows up. Can you know what Dragon Branch is? Is it malicious?

Awsome! both the identification of items and the prefix/suffix property system were things that never really seemed to get off the ground in Entombed, and I love the risks inherent in deciding whether to try out unidentified items, particularly if there will be specific types of items other than weapons and armor such as wands, rods or runestones that casters can hold in their hands instead of weapons.Just one question, what happenes with cursed elemental weapons? I can see how cursed elemental armor would increase your weakness to a given damage, eg, a cursed breastplate of earth would mean you take more damage from earth type attacks, however what does a cursed sword of earth do? One rather fun idea (and one that definitely goes for cursed weapons), might be that while the enemy takes the normal weapon damage, your character is the one who gets inflicted with the elemental damage. So, if a cursed axe of fire did 5 slashing damage and 3 fire damage, the person
  swinging it would take the three fire damage instead of the target. The same could go for status effects as opposed to curses, so say a cursed poisoned dagger poisons the person who attacks with it not the one who gets stabbed. I rather like this idea, sinse it makes cursed weapons potentially much nastier than just giving you some negative stats and would also mean you might have to change tactics, sinse while a fighter with a cursed sword of strength could keep wailing away just getting less bang for their buck so to speak, a fighter with a cursed sword of lightning or a cursed mace of wrot might have to stop melee attacks in battle altogether until they can be decursed. You could also consider separating out the anticurse effects too, say having a comparatively common remove curse which let people drop cursed items, and a much rarer clense which actually removed the cursing from an item. This way you would make curses harder to deal with and more of a tactical decision, (
 sinse if you had remove curse you might want to risk trying an unidentified item, while if you only had access to cleanse you might want to cleanse and use it), and would also be able to split curse removal between different jobs thus going along with the cooperative party structure of the game. For example you could give the Healer the remove curse ability (sinse that is to do with peoples boddies), and giving a clerric, priest or even wizard job the cleanse ability to deal with items, particularly if curse removal is (as I hope), going to be a separate business from curing negative status affects such as sleep, poison, silence or slow.Btw, while were thinking status affects, two affects I dont recall from the first game were affects to stop people using their techniques or spells, say a silence affect that stop magic users using any of their mana based abilities, and an incompetence ability that stopped other jobs using their techniques for a while. @SLJYou can plug in a capture card - the Elgato game capture HD, for example, has a USb and 2 HDMI ports (one to pass through to your tv and the other to go to the games console) or PC, theoretically for the latter I havent tried it myself. This means you can record gameplay from OBS, edit it if you so wish and upload to youtube straight from your computer bypassing the need for twitch to archive your broadcasts altogether.Twitch will allow you to archive broadcasts, though be aware of their copyright system for auto-flagging archived broadcasts, even if you are only playing the game people have been flagged wrongly even for in-game music. Not trying to put you off of using it, just saying is all.As for doing it from the PS4, I dont know how easy thatll be to set up and use. I cant voutch for it since I dont have a PS4. I know you can set it up through a browser on your settings page though so it might trans

Hi.I have just noticed that Fifa 2015 have voice commands so you can control the game using your voice. The bad thing is that the game doesnt respond with any kind of confirmation sound when it has understood your command. The good thing though is that the game might be very accessible because of that.I dont have any experiences with the Fifa games at all, so I cant tell if there is a chance that it might be more accessible or not. Sorry to hear about the break up! I had a really bad one when I was a teenager and wrote a really great song the next day, haha. I now have the basics on how enchanted items work. Theyre similar in a way to Entombed 1 where they can modify your stats and things, but they also leverage the new Entombed 2 damage system and can add elemental types of damage as well as stat improvements.Items can also be cursed. A cursed item reverses the bonuses it would normally have. So lets say you have a Short Sword of Strength. That would normally grant you +2 to your strength stat. The cursed version will change that +2 into -2 strength. Also, cursed items cant be removed without a remove curse scroll. So why would you ever equip a cursed item to begin with?You might not know the item is cursed. Cursed and enchanted items start unidentified. So while you know its something magical, you wont know if it is beneficial or not unless you identify it
  in some way.There are some interesting caveats with cursed items. For example, what if you have Short Sword of Weakness? Normally, it would give -2 strength, but a Cursed Short Sword of Weakness will actually invert that and it will function as a +2 Strength weapon. There might be other ways to use cursed items to your benefit too.

I agree about translations; Ive wanted to include them practically since I started programming, but since Instant Translate is newer than most of my games, I never got far with my own translations. (I did translate a chunk of one to Japanese for a class project, and there are bits and pieces of incomplete French and Spanish translations in DB:GU, but overall its been insane enough getting myself to finish anything in English.  )I dont think Ive played enough of the older games to really respond all that well to the original question, but I did find myself agreeing with most of Darks list. I would have included Bokurano Daibouken 3 (I understand why Dark didnt); Ive found myself thinkking before that Swamp has effectively solved FPS-style navigation, and Bokurano Daibouken 3 has more or less solved 2D platformers. (Being a game style I
 ve put a lot of thought into, I still want to innovate with it more, but BK3 seems to have handled things better than any of my attempts.) From what I understand, Masons 2D Platformer plays very similarly, minus the language barrier, and at this point I wouldnt expect any luck changing anything without a full-screen tactile display.

Entombed 1 did in fact have a silence spell, I really liked using that on the lich.I had some ideas with regards to hardness of weapons and size of monsters. How about not necessarily making small creatures hit less hard (a nice example would be bees or pirahnas, which are small but definitely painful), but instead preventing smaller creatures from reaching a big creatures upper body unless the bigger creature has been knocked down or the smaller creature is flying?I always found it weird that rats, even giant rats, could essentialy hit a ten foot tall ogres head without trouble. Not that theyd do much damage, however you could compensate for that by making tough skin not reduce nearly as much damage. And of course, when feet or legs would be mangled, standing becomes a problem at which point the smaller creatures could also start hitting the head and such. The pounce abilities for wolves would be able to hit closer to an opponents head because 
 they would leap. And maybe depending on the spell, you cant conjure it past a certain number of feet above the ground depending on your intelligence.Of course the amount of truly gargantuan creatures would have to be limited, but this might make things a little more interesting strategy wise. Spells that do hit the head but have a chance of missing altogether, and giving more/different meaning to hitting other body parts could also be a thing then.If curses are going to exist, then identifying should honestly be a lot harder than it was in entombed 1, because I always just hoarded all items, sold them in the store, and had more than enough gold to identify literally everything. Unless you want the majority of items to have some form of enchantment, which Im not sure I would be in favor of. Finding truly epic items should still not be an easy thing to do.

Disturbed sanctuary does exist, but its a post game area and is much different.You really just need to loop around until you find a staircase leeding to the next floor. Keep going down from that NPC and follow the path down and around. I cant speak to every turn without having it up in front of me but you arent all that far from the staircase to floor two.Hope that helps.

Hi,I just downloaded this, and loaded a couple of the PCS games into the games folder. Every time I launch one though, nothing happens. The same thing occurred when I tried to run the talking directory program. It just sits there.Am I doing something wrong? Im not great at command line stuff, but am ok with doing the directory commands. I can get it to a point where it tries to launch the games, but I lose speech at that point, and have to force the process to end with task manager.Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, soI finally reached a new area that Ive been trying to reach for months. As of today I finally managed to play a game where I managed to find all the galactic dusts and therefore gain access to the area they unlock. My difficulty is with the boss. My questions are A. about what level should I be at and B. is there a particular strategy for beating it? I get the feeling there is based on the message we found but its hard to make sense of it. All I know for sure is that thing killed Ross in one round with a draining attack that did over 3000 damage, well over Ross 790 limit. LOL.Edit: Never mind. Figured it out. Pretty awesome reward that. I think its even slightly better than the final boss.

I was gttng that error until I upgraded Instant Translate. But no matter what I did I couldnt get actual translations, either the Japanese ProTalker would speak Japanese or the horrible English ESpeak voice wouldtry and fail to speak Japanese. But theres another thing. nless I can actually use one of my better quality voices to play the game Im not goin to be very inclined to do so. Granted I was able to do that with the non voiced version, but then I only had a few days worth of trouble getting that one to play nice with Instant Translate as opposed to the kin of trouble I seem to be having now. Knowing my luck its probably a Vista issue, and me not being able to aford to upgrade.

I like wireless headphones for the freedom to move around the house, even go outside and still continue listening. In the summer I like to put on a record, plug my wireless headset in to the stereo and then go outside on the garden swing. The trouble is that it can be fiddly. The transmitter had to be facing just the perfect direction in order to mitigate the static. They tipically transmit a pretty week signal, and I cant help but think that wireless routers and other signals that have been introduced in to the home over the last few years probably make things worse.How much did you pay for those?Itd be nice to find ones with a stronger signal which could go further, but youd probably pay a pretty penny for them.

Ok, first, lets calm down this pannic, server being offline, someone decided to drop an unnamed item down on the ground, and somehow it killed the server. It kept restarting but because I tried being nice and making it save the items hahaha, it crashed over and over. My server host got mad, and now the server is at least for now, shutdown. I will try to resalve it but I hope to have the server back by tonight. Energy can be replenished. Just sleep. Yes your thirst goes up faster near the desert. About the blocks thing, well lets just say I found a way to make stw about 10 mb smaller, have way way less loading time, and, with out lag, increase the map from x55 to 25000x25000! Will be in the next update if all goes well, im sorry for the darn svr downtime.

Folowing my previous poast: even if David would want to change SOD entirely, he simply cant. First off, the game has to stay as close to the original idea as possible, so that when people do upgrade dont have to go through a lot of new things in order to enjoy their favourite game. Second, the bigger the changes would be, the higher the upgrade price, wich unavoidably would piss off people and would result in no upgrade at all in the end. Thats why, its rather dangerous to compare older games with newer ones.

 at once. The check would work just like when you select people to go on a mission or stuff to trash. If this is not possible, at least add one last item to the manage characters menu that would ensure you do whatever you want with all of them at once, that should be doable, I think. I think I havent missed any good suggestions besides these, or they are all essentially the same principle. Its difficult to keep up with the few grains of good crop among all the many posts in this thread since the last time I had time to check it.If noone has anything else to add, I think it might be time to officially post this list to the devs. :-)Thanks,Lukas

On the up side, the boss is incredibly easy, if you can figure out where it is in its pattern. (Not as easy as the boss of Emerald Hills in Sonic 2, though.)(That complexity is why I never finished this game.  its easy enough to do complex platforming, and easy enough to do tracks, but combining the two turned out more frustrating than I expected.)

And of course the real problem is, in the strict meaning of abandonware, a company doesnt make something abandonware by some definitive action, they do so either by stopping development of the software or going out of business. So in the strict meaning of the term, these games are, in fact, abandonware, since it is no longer possible to obtain them through legal means. Its just that there has been no official statement from BSC that its okay to distribute them. Obviously they remain the copyrighted property of BSC, since in most if not all countries, anything is copyrighted as soon as it exists in some fixed, human or machine readable form. Which means the message youre reading right now is copyrighted by me, not that it matters in this case.

I agree with you, however, as I understand it, such a modified version of the BNS emulator couldnt be distributed legally, since Eloquence is supposed to be licensed for distribution. I wish this wasnt the case, but sadly it is. Now if there was an easy way for us to modify our own copies privately, not for distribution, that would be one thing.

Ok, soI finally reached a new area that Ive been trying to reach for months. As o rotda I finally managed to play a game where Imanaged to find all the galactic dusts and therefore gain access to the area they unlock. My difficulty is with the boss. My questions are A. about what level should I be at and B. is there a particular strategy for beating it? I get the feeling there is based on the message we found but its hard to make sense of it. All I know for sure is that thing killed Ross in one round with a draining attack that did over 3000 damage, well over Ross 790 limit. LOL.

eloquence for talking dosbox?

hey is there anyone on here who can make eloquence or DecTalk work with talking dosbox? So far it only uses espeak. I think if it used eloquence or dectalk people would be more at ease with using it to play old dos games such as any night football.

Im not positive this is in the right category: it might need to be moved. In the meantime though...  Im sure some people here have heard of the Empire mud codebase. For those of you that have, the new version is out and has a very impressive player base with a new set of features.  For those who havent. Empire mud is a game that doesnt follow the idea of most muds. You do play a single character of course, but its not so much hack and slash. Imagine a browser game like Travian or another empire builder, except on a mud. Players are dropped into the middle of the wilderness and from there, you begin to specialize in skills and build yourself a city. When I say wilderness, I mean it. You need a hand axe to chop wood? Chip two rocks together and make one. Need a weapon? Chip down an axeblade and make a spearhead, carve a handle and make a spear. Eventually this leads to a variety of character types, including the warl
 ord, the empire designer who build everything from the grannaries to the barracks to the sorcery towers, and even less common types such as the assassin, the druid and the artisan, who crafts the empires weapons, armor and tools.  More specifically, this mud caters very, very much to those here who enjoy crafting, building cities, empires, and so on. It also has rp for those with that bent, as well as diplomatic relations, trade and of course war. Theres pvp here for those that want it, exploration and just about everything in between.  Empire mud is in beta mode, and just went up about a month ago. Despite this, the player base is already around 50, and empires are springing up. The mud was not created with any preexisting cities, so everything has been built by players. On that note, the economy is not fixed, and makes for some very interesting commerce. You can mint coins, but a hated enemy might not put any value on them. You can t
 rade in solid gold bars, but whos to say how much theyre worth?Finally, this mud is very screen reader friendly. I myself was a part of the accessibility design decisions in the early Alpha stage, and so can attest that the mud staff here is very accessibility conscious.  Come give the mud a try. O I have Oliver. However, I dont actually know how to post it as a link. If you want it though, there is a link which says (new vocalizer expressive voices for NVDA. Its on clango. It has Kate, Oliver, Susan and Vina. Oh and does anyone have a crack for a slightly newer driver of vocalizer expressive? I have 3.0.8 and am looking to update.

Hi all, just to let you know that weve been slowly sorting out the server crashes as they appear. Also, I talked about the tram system briefly on the message boards, but ill describe it here. What basicly it is is like a minny vehicle/shuttle which sits at various points on your ship. When you select a deck to travel too, it heads for that deck and stops at its designated arrival station. The trams are vastly different to turbocars, in that you can actually walk around inside them, use the pa, basicly do everything with them as if they were a normal ship. Weve been thinking to intraduce ships which can either be baught by members of either the outer rim, or federation, like a federation drednaught, using this system. This way, you could really get the idea of what its like to be onboard a gigantic cruiser like voyager or enterprise flying through space. Also, one more thing. We reached our hiest record of 22 players yesterday, and had an epic rp event, no lag. So
  yes, im perfectly happy to announce that mister lag monster is dead, server side. Any lag you get is from now on purely your net, as you can even press enter rappidly on a upgrade station at bakuan5 and still not lag us all out.
