Thank you very much. Yeah installing the game onto my ps4 took a while because of the extreme size, but went without any issues.I need to look at your awesome guide in Internet explorer in Windows, because the menus are very difficult to read on my Mac using Safari. Its like all the line brakes are missing, so its very difficult to see whats the sub menus. It would be very helpful for me at leased if you can make the menus like Kais or something simular. If I copy the menus into a text document, then its the same. I really, really enjoy your guide, and I might be able to come up with something to add. It seems as there are many more things which you could add to the guide, which I really hope youll take the time to do in the future. Keep up the fantastic work.

@post 12, I can agree with that. I know ive stated my position on the survive the wild topic, and it was partly me bringing up some of these ishues to sam that seems to have started the creation of this thread. While I do see the point of the current system, it is overly fustrating when trying to find a tree or anything else, or to need to keep having to take a drink every 5 minutes, speshily if someone is stabbing you in the face. Ive been told yes, run while someone is trying to advance on you with a knife. But with all the factors, energy, hunger, and thirst, I have an incredibly tuff time doing that since run means go fast, yet when I try to go fast, I fall over and said person has already taken my head off and claimed it as a trofy. On the subject of realism, ill say this again. I do believe that realism in a game is good. I understand why you want it their. It helps you get into the game, but their is a critical difference when implementing it. If you wante
 d to be realistic, why not make it so a person can go a day at least with out needing to drink much water, then slowly fill the meater over time? That way when a person is roleplaying, they can really say, man, ive gone 2 days with out drinking and im dieing! Or why not change the cycle of the days so instead of being an hour at most, they actually are a full day? That way, you could still keep your thirst system and hunger system, but players could focus more on the roleplay or whatever it is they like to do. Back to the hole coordinates ishue, I see both sides of the story. In reel life, yes, you wouldnt use coordinates to track your position. But ross is slitely correct on this. The coordinates system wasnt the most realistic, but it did help you get aquainted with where you were. And its why killing wasnt such as much of a major ishue as it is now. Before anyone says something else. I would just like to say this. I have actually attempted to play su
 rvive the wild on multiple times, I gave my best to give the game a chance. I even asked a few players for help with food and such. They gave me all this stuff to help me get started, only wait, 20 minutes layter I died while in the middle of typing a chat message, and lost all the stuff these players had given me to try to help me get started.

Apotheon is very cheep, so I might buy it and give it a try. There is some climing in the game though.Heavy rain is an awesome game, but how do you find this playable? I find it even difficult to navigate around in this game, and the controls are quite impossible without good descriptions.

So, I decided to try doing a Nuzlocke this afternoon. Everything was going fantastically. I had three Pokémon and hadnt lost one. I decided to count Route 2 as a separate area from Viridion Forest, so I caught myself a Caterpie and then headed into the forest. My first encounter was a flippin Pikachu.AND i FREAKING KILLED IT. I didnt mean to! I thought my Ratatas tackle wouldnt take all 40% of its health, but it did! And that was the best first encounter I could have had! I dont want to cheat, but I dont want to go on knowing I missed a golden opportunity. I want to restart, but I dont want to give up on the four Pokémon I do have. I feel awful.

I hear you their its okay though believe me you will get a couple pieces of gear that is really good I managed to get my self a genji helm. I also got a thunder blade which is a piece of gear with a soulbreak. Just save up that mythrill and dont worry I used it on bosses too, sometimes thats the only way to do it. Im glad your figuring the game out once you get the hang of it its not so hard.

Thanks for your comments about the voice chat.Aprone: Both STW and deathMatch have voice chat. Of corse this should be n optional thing. You could of course use Teamtalk or other voice chat systems and give people your coordinates, but thats not my point. My point is that you should hear the direction the voice is comming from, which would make it easier to help other players, rollplay with others and helpful in many other siturations in my opinion.

Hello.My first choice is Alex. I use Alex all the time on my iPhone and Mac. If I could have him for Android and Windows I would. My second choice is Ivona Salli. I also like Ava, but if Salli was available for Android, iOS, or OS X, I would use her. iOS will never happen unless Apple opens up the tts system to allow third party engines. Im not sure why Ivona wont provide all the voices on Android.

Lol, that website are morons! actually the plastic case is rather handy and is something Ive kept, sinse it also stores the usb lead and instructions rather nicely, but it is way bigger than the device itself. With my bank, its that I didnt want to have my actual account details on my computer if i could help it. Thats why I have a credit card tied into my paypal account, (and a credit card with as low a borrowing limit as I can).Unfortunately, sinse it wont be as easy for me to get to the bank itself sinse those greedy corporate drone bots are closing my local branch this leaves me with telephone banking (Im not going to do it online for aforesaid reason), so Ill need access to my sort code and account number in a hurry, as well as the telephone security number the bank setup (yes it gets crazy).I was considering getting these brailled but trying to read braille with one hand and push numbers into a phone keypad 
 with the other is not fun, so the penfriend idea came up. I just hope my cleaning service doesnt think all the little bits of white paper stuck to the underside of my desc are rubbish .Actually up until a few years ago, Id have said braille was still necessary for instant labelling, now with the penfriend Im not quite so sure.

Even Judaism didnt exist until about 3 or 4000 years ago when God started guiding the Israelites. However, I as a Christian do not assume my source of morality is true over other sources, I back it up with evidence, such as historical and archaeological validations of scripture. Yes, there are prophetic validations of scripture as well, but as someone else pointed out, there are other supposed prophecies as well, and the bible even makes room for that when it says
  that if a prophecy comes true and the prophet who makes it says, come, let us go and follow other gods, that prophet is to be put to death. There are even claims of documented gods before the god of Christianity. The reason I accept Christianity as true over such religions as Mormonism, Gehovas witnesses or, branching out further, Taoism, Hinduism or islam, is because the bible, as far as my research has shown me, is the most historically, archaeologically and scientifically validated of any other religious text. Hello,I, myself, am not even trying to bring back coordinates, because its not gunna work. But I said it before and Will say it now: you got a radio on the boat, right? why not change the storry, so you get cumpas, too? Cumpas is 1 of tools that are first things you think about when thinking about survival. It would be also much easier to just be with north, south, west and east and their combinations, because when you luse your direction, its imposible to get it back ... like it isnt actually reall 60 or 61 but 60,5 ... I agree with the whole trying to get away thing while someones trying to put a knife in me. I usually end up falling over and die anyway. Theres a balance good devs need to achieve when introducing realism into their games to little and it feels arcadish, too much and it feels like a job. STW can be fun, but it can also feel a lot like a job at times, and I dont like that, I play games to have fun. I think some tuning would yield a better result. But then you come to another balance that good devs need to achieve, listening to the community versus not contaminating their vision of the game. People play games because they like what the developer did, well, if the developer implements every suggestion given by the community surrounding their game, then youll have a helter-skelter patchwork of a thing thats probably going to suck. On the other hand, if the developer never listens to the community, then people will take issue and a lot of good ideas will 
 be missed out. I hope that Sam can bring STW into equallibrium and make it a fantastic game. I think there is still some work to be done.

Microsoft IME and Windows 8.1 updates

I normally use Microsoft IME to type Japanese.Since one of the recent windows updates, the IME simply wont open: alt+shift does nothing, alt+` gives me at most a ding.This comes with other weird things in Windows--I cant disable the mouse buttons, spacebar no longer works on Windows controls, etc.Any ideas on whats going on or how to fix it?

I will try to answer everything I intend to answer this time, as Ive been doing a pretty terrible job of that lately, lol.Firstly, thank you AlexN for those links, Ill definitely be checking those out as I love seeking scientific evidence that backs up my belief in Christ and reading any other evidence, contrary or otherwise, so that I can patch up holes in my belief system.SpiralingWyvern, youre absolutely right that society existed before Christianity, but certainly not before God. Even Judaism didnt exist until about 3 or 4000 years ago when God started guiding the Israelites. However, I as a Christian do not assume my source of morality is true over other sources, I back it up with evidence, such as historical and archaeological validations of scripture. Yes, there are prophetic validations of scripture as well, but as someone else pointed out, there are other supposed prophecies as well, and the bible even makes room for that when it says
  that if a prophecy comes true and the prophet who makes it says, come, let us go and follow other gods, that prophet is to be put to death. There are even claims of documented gods before the god of Christianity. The reason I accept Christianity as true over such religions as Mormonism, Gehovas witnesses or, branching out further, Taoism, Hinduism or islam, is because the bible, as far as my research has shown me, is the most historically, archaeologically and scientifically validated of any other religious text. Some would claim it is the most well-validated book in history, though I dont quite have enough evidence to back that claim yet. And if were talking impirical evidence, I dont think evolution can be tested either. Science can easily find evidence of species mutating, but mutations are almost always bad and even perceived benefitial ones are at the cost of something else. If someone is told when their wife is pregnant that their baby has a mutation, 
 no one ever asks, oh, is it a good one? Therefore, mutation can not be how we would have evolved, if thats how it had happened. All we have for evidence are fossils, which can easily be covered by the hydroplate theory, and a 4.4 billion year old assumed timeline. Science scientists can not observe evolution happening directly, it can only be considered a theory since it can not be systematically tested.Severestormsteve, first of all let me welcome you into the family, brother. Pretty much the question has already been answered. Closed topics stay around both as a record of what has gone on, and as a reminder, especially if member moderation warnings have been given, though usually myself and the other mods remember who is getting official warnings frequently, its always good to have a public record so everything is visible and above board. Topics have been deleted in the past, but I think having them around is a better plan over all, and as you said its easy enough to skip them and pretty soon theyll be relegated to the back pages of the forum.

Hey all,Thanks for the support.As for having the project(s) planned, I have them planned out pretty well, as well as how to code the more broad aspects, (though I havent completely been focusing on smaller additions to the systems as much as Ive been implementing and bug testing them). Once I get a fully working track builder added to the game, I will run a 5 person beta team, where the first 5 people to reply to the topic and or vote on the pole I might include will be admitted.As for the side scrolling adventure game, I definitely havent worked on this one as much as S Quad Racing, but Im currently designing the core game engine (objects, components, rooms...) so that when Im finished with that engine I can just call functions and write story and code in events. Now for those of you who keep up with my websites S Quad Racing page, you might argue that absolutely no coding has been done in weeks! which
 , although some minor coding has been done, is true. I have, as stated in my most recent blog post, attended two back to back summer camps, one being 3 weeks and the other lasting 1. but Now that Im back, new code is, being, generated. @Techmaster20 yes, need for speed has things similar to what I want to add, but I have a friend who plays it and he described how the game works and mine, you will notice, is already developing some major differences.And yes everyone, the online mode will be restricted to premium, since running a server will cost money. Also, a restricted version of all game modes will be included in the game, so people dont end up impulse buying.finally @post 7, Dont worry. Nytro is definitely on my list, and perhaps even something like rocket nytro which lifts your car above the road so you can avoid obstacles, and go really fast.

Hi.Something else I think that need to be changed is the energy system. I was happy with it until I think the most reasint update.Before, your energy would go up if you stand still or if you sit down. It will also go up when you sleep.Now you have to sleap in auder to get your energy up. This isnt realistic, because if you ran a mile and you are tired, you dont need to sleap to get your energy back. You can just sit down and wait until you feel better.Have a nice day.Francois

Some questions about bgt

Hi, i have some questions about bgt. I want to make a game with events and pusles, butim not sure if what im doing is correctly. Im searching asolution to do it withouth using hundreds and thousands of ifs.I ve made a class called event, that are within a array on the map class, and when somethin happen, i call a functionat the map called check events, that call another function called check for each event at the array with auser data string has parameter for both functions.About using itens on another like a key on the door or a missing lever at somewhere, when it happens i call the check events function with on_use has parameter using both handled objects andtarget object has parameters separated by commas. And to define what will happen are define at a string that the thingsare separated by slash and the parameters of then are separated by commas too. Anyone knows a another way about doing it?

I can try, but with the payment for the lone coming out every couple minutes, its kind of hard. The payment is like two hundred 11 thousand something. Its a lot, so that makes it nearly impossible to save up enough money to buy all the gophers.

However; if theyve seen those dots all around your place, and they are of reasonable intelligence, they should realize you put them there intentionally and leave them alone.I dont have any credit cards by choice, the credit card companies over here are vultures just looking for ways to catch you in the credit card trap, I wont give them the opening. I didnt like that bank anyway and never applied for accounts with them in the first place. I ended up having accounts with them because they bought out a bank I was using. I was so annoyed when the announcement was released.A thought I had about labeling prescription bottles. Dont put the label on the bottle, instead put the label on the cap. Then when you get refills in a new bottle, just put the labeled ca

Right now all my prescriptions use pills that are different sizes and shapes, so I can identify them by their pills.If you havent figured this out already, the labels in each lettered pack are coded differently from those in other labeled pack. Once you buy and start using a particular letter, you arent supposed to buy another pack of the same letter as the Pen Friend will see them as the same as the original pack. So as needed, they can just keep releasing new packs continuing up the alphabet as they do.For the different sized labels, the way around that is to use the largest label that can be conveniently used. Such as, the large squares would work fine in DVD and CD cases, theres plenty of room to accomodate them. The small circles are small enough to go on something small like the cap of a pill bottle.Between the Colorino color identifier and being able to feel the dif
 ferences in my articles of clothing, I havent needed to use any special labels for my clothes, so Ill pass on the laundry labels.And I will get a set of magnetic labels, I can stick them on the refridgerator and use them to make notes to myself.You were lucky in that you found the Pen Friend first. So figured it was time for a responce from me. So lets see here, I have a lot to work with and im glad of it. So yes, I have been planning to slow down the thirst system as well as the hunger system, I have a little coding to do to make that work but it would be pretty easy and if all you agree that thirst rises too fast which I sort of see it, I can slow that down, as well as hunger. That I do agree would help. As for a compass, something very similar I was planning to add is something really awesome that happens in real life, which is moss on trees, so just go to a tree, press x, and if you face the moss rustle sound, your facing north. Youd need a tree but theres plenty. About these goddang killers I know I need to do something about it, thats whare the rules come in. I need to finish them but you have to click an option in the main menu to agree to the rules, and therefor it isnt an admins responsibility if a player breaks one, and I can tell you 
 right now one of them, and a very strict one at that is random killing. I know there not out yet but I think they will help, a lot. Also though, in the real world, the thing with coordinates is you dont know exactly whare you are with out them and I like that. In RP, you can just tell someone oh go to coordinates 183 275 0 and thats whare I am. Ok first, how does the sending player know that, and second, how does the receiver of the message know first about those numbers and how to get there. The system is a new consept, but the idea is so you never know exactly whare you are but in character, im waiting for you behind or south of this pond, for example. So thats some of the things ive gathered and some of the other well things I said rofl, feedback apreciated, and thanks for it guys, I apreciate this.

Luis, it sounds like you might be hitting the MSIE 10 _javascript_ bug. Theres apparently one version of Internet Explorer 10 which doesnt process _javascript_ properly, and it blows up on the credit card page. Id recommend trying with Firefox or Chrome instead. If that is whats happening, seriously consider upgrading your internet explorer - 10 is very, very old.

Well to say that windows support of 3d and smooth reverb is down the drain would be inaccurate as there are libraries, not even hard ones in fact, that would do the job. Just look at Death Match Project Alpha, just one example of a game that could use 3d audio with the Free SL library. Im not sure of all of the languages it can be used with, but I know two things: pure basic is one, and there are certainly others. As for windows dropping support for games, well if it does that then were screwed in a since, at least until Microsoft makes their X Box compatible for blind accessible games. If and or when it does that, perhaps Id invest in one and code for it, as Im sure a lot! of the blind community would do.

Well, Apotheon does have some minor platforming, but so does Shank... and that game is playable. lol Im curious to see what impressions people have, and Im just not sure enough to buy it yet... because of the hub world and the like. I dont know where you are ending up, but, here are the results of my just completed attempts to download this game.Using my browser history, I went straight to the games mediafire page and found a link that said something like Download (74MB), so I clicked it, I ended up on a page full of nothing but advertizements.So I went to the games reddit page, clicked the link to download the latest build and again ended up on mediafire, this time it wouldnt let me download the game unless I took a survey.I refuse to accept this nonsense. If the developers want to make it this hard to download their game, they can keep it.There is no need to reply, I will not enter this thread again and I will recommend to people that they stay away from this developer and the hoops he wants you to jump through. With my credit card, its actually a credit card with my bank, which is one reason its easy to pay off and check charges with. I would only be charged interest the month ending the month after I made my payment, so effectively anywhere between about 30 and 60 days, and sinse I pay my credit card off at the bank which is five minutes around the corner (or will be up until the end of August, thanks to those douchebastards), this isnt an issue, one reason I had to get the telephone banking fixed. I dont actually stick labels around my flat, which is why I might have to warn the cleaning service, especially sinse theyre a new service that Ive just started with,  previously it was done by my down stairs neighbor but shes been ill. Medication is a good suggestion, however sinse most of my medication are eye drops anyway switching tops wouldnt be a good idea generally, I use coloured hair bands wrapped around the bottles instead, though if I ever lost my vision I could always make some little sleaves to stick the lables on.Likewise in terms of vision, because one thing I like for dvds are the aesthetic boxes, that is why Im not keen on the larger lables, though Im sure I will find other uses for them occasionally, as I did with my bank details.

Hey Sam,In regards to post 19, and since coordinates are basically out of the question, it would bee nice to add landmarks around the map so that people could meet at places. For example, dont just add a couple of ponds, name the ponds. Also there isnt just this random isolated tree that a player is standing at, its the ancient oak, the only one named as such that a lot of people are likely to know of since, well, its the only one.Also I dont know that the moss idea would be too good, since you spawn on a beach, away from trees, and you have to walk nearly 200 squares to get to one.

Hi,FreeSL is a wrapper for OpenAL, which does not have 3d support on Vista and above, due to Microsoft dropping Hardware acceleration layer support.The sad fact is that we really do not have anything that comes close to what we had in XP, except OpenAL and Unity. Hmmm, most odd firefly, when I hit the above download link, I get a download file window open. What browser are people using? With ie it seems to be fine, but I wonder if mediafire is doing odd things in Firefox or whatever. I dont think though there is any need to hassle the developer about this or to start recommending he change download alternatives until weve actually worked out what the problem is, plus of course its easy enough to just pass the file along (I could just bang it up on sendspace myself).Btw, if you go to the wastes subredit, there is a link to a youtube trailer for a game called war sim which the developer of the wastes worked on previously. It uses some of the same ideas, but is a strategic turn based kingdom management and battle affair, rather than a postt appocalyptic rpg. I dont think its being worked on anymore, but its worth a try, especially for people who like that sort of

Yes, debit cards are tied directly to your bank account, however; if you detect a fraudulent charge, the money is put back within 24 hours. One of the things my bank allows me to do is set the limits on the debit card through their online banking site, I keep its limits low to minimize any damage a fraudster might do. Ill raise them when Im going to make a large purchase, then lower it again once the purchase has been made and paid.Its a little less convenient, but I put my DVD and CD labels inside the box or jewel case, that way the look of the case isnt marred. though as small as the circles are, they would be barely noticeable on the outside. I can always find other uses for the larger squares. At least the packs seem to be 80% small circles and 20% large squares. Right now, whenever I need to read a label, I have to go get the VoxCom device, its rather big to have on you all the time. The Voila reader is better in that its pen shaped rather than a box like the VoxCom, but its big, about the size and weight of an electric toothbrush from 20 or more years ago. I wouldnt want to wear either of those around my neck all day.

OK, I found some pretty horrifying news about a week ago. The logic board on my Mac is totally fucked. I have no clue when I will be getting a new computer or motherboard. I am officially wish that there was a way to use this form as an application. I get around the advertizing page by closing it, but the games page no longer has any download links and there is no file download started, dead end.Im not willing to give him any more clicks and get nothing for it.With all this advertizing crap you have to get through to download his game, it seems to me like the focus is more about generating clicks than providing a game.I dont mind ads on web pages, I do mind ads that prevent you from accomplishing whatever it was you wanted to do that brought you to the page in the first place. All they do is make me irritated at the owner of the web page and the advertizer. The end result is that both vendors lose me as a prospective customer. Im fairly sure there is a solution to this, whether someone mirroring the file on a more accessible host or finding a way around the adds, but if your not interested in solving the problem there isnt much else to say.Btw, the developer is now discussing the ascii art free version, which will be great and save a lot of hitting down arrow for no reason, (and all the more reason Id rather people didnt accuse him of mediafires inequities). @Gene, downloading the game should present no problem. Go to the link labeled download latest build that will redirect you to a page on the file storage site mediafire where the latest build, currently 7.3 is. There are lots of links and what not, but I just searched for the text that said Download and downloaded the file, indeed Ive done it four times now with successive versions so I can definitely say it works, and no, if there was a capture required I wouldnt be recommending the game either. Reddit is the forum system the dev is using to promote the game, advertise changes etc, (well its sort of like a forum but a bit weerder). Reddit itself has a capture system for creating new threads, though it seems to go away once you register an account, which doesnt require a capture (crazy). As to the developer, well I cant blaim him (I presume its a him), for hanging out over on reddit and just bangi
 ng out announcements, the speed of development is scary! and if you can tangle with the reddit system hes quite prepared to discuss suggestions etc, both access related and otherwise,  alternatively, just grab the game and have some fun with it, really if it wasnt possible to download easily Id not have made a news item.Hth.

Alex is a great synthesizer. Ivona voices are great but I dont know why do they allow us to use only one voice per language in android. Brian is a good voice as well. But I love Amy UK voice from there.

Hi, Yes, this is worth it. A racing game with a story mode, that would be interesting. So I will ask you the following question.If cops and jumping is definetly there, where have you seen an audio game with cops? Nevermind racing games, I dont think there are any audio games you can chase or get chased by cops, realtime. If you are going to make a demo mode, and if the game is going to be Premium, you should restrict the story mode into Premium and have the rest, without the online mode, included in the demo.

Hmmm, this is very weerd, though might I suggest Gene that instead of throwing a hissyfit you talk calmly about the problem and we try and find a way of fixing it. As I said, Ive not experienced any of these problems in ie, I wonder if its your browser.
