And thats exactly the problem, in edition to the fact they have no regulations. And they claim to be a tech company, and the Ada doesnt apply to them? Seriously, the Ada needs some serious work. And all these problems with Uber, yet the nfb allows them to be a sponsor! And the nfb isnt doing things right either. Theres gotta be some regulation, such as, once a passenger is connected to a ride, that driver is instantly being videoed and the video is uploaded to the cloud for uber to see. The camera would see the passenger having to get outa the car, and it would be obvious it wasnt right. Hi all,I coded a new bgt class which some if not many of you will find useful.It is a message history class, with a method like that of mush-z and similar to swamp and other games.This is an interesting class which allows you to save up to 100 messages for later retrieval (currently using a very basic custom screen reader class which works with any reader, contained in this archive as reader.bgt).Basically, it allows you to store up to 100 messages, allowing you to retrieve them either by using alt+1 through 0 (you can change the modifier property to any key you wish), or by using page up or down (ctrl page up going to top, and control page down going to the bottom of the list (you can change left control for this by modifying the modifier2 variable.)In your games while loop you must use the process() class method to ensure that it checks for message history shortcut keypresses. If you forget to do this, the class will not work properly, though
  you will still be able to store new messages.It needs a variable called lang to run, defined as a global property in your script. The reason si that this script is multilingual, currently with English and Spanish languages. To set it to English create an int variable called lang and set it to 1. For Spanish, set it to 2.PausesBy using the add class method and setting pause to true, the script will wait for you to press return to continue execution. Hello,Im now having the travelling issue again. Below is a save file, with people in two different places, and the ones further along doing nothing:I notice that this sometimes happens if you dont exit the location menu and go back to the day menu, before choosing another person. So, choose a person, but only press escape once, then choose another person. @techmaster20: Yes, I had this too. Its probably because the game is trying to write in the user folder in program files. Install the game in a folder under your own folders, like the desktop or your documents, or start the game as an admin (it isnt advised in general).

About the installer version, the user folder is included in program files, so when the game will try to write in the user folder it wont have the rights unless it is started as an administrator.There are several solutions to this:1. remove the user folder, but the player will have to edit SoundRTS.ini to add mods = starwarsmodv1.02. ask the player to start in admin mode3. ask the player to install the game in a folder where he has writing rights4. just rewrite the default res folder with the various modded files and package the result as an installer, so there is no need to have the mods = starwarsmodv1.0 line.Solution 4 might be the best one. Better solutions might require some coding but Im not sure. If I manage to code the downloadable package system correctly, the player will have to install the package from the options menu and activate the mod
  from the options menu too.

@oriol, I have quite a few things. I incourage you to look at my music library that I posted in a certain topic on this forum. It has quite a few tracks that you might want to use for music in your game. This library is royalty free. Therefore any dev can use it under the condition that it isnt used in software that violates the laws of the country that the dev or its products end users countrys, and the laws of those countries. Second, I vote on screen reader based output. Third, I think we should have a multi plater mode where you select a robot that you have in your group, then battle against someones robot. Also, for a little twist, I think you should add some management into the game. You would start out with a certain amount of money, and a basic computer. You would have to, not literally, but in the game, buy parts and code the software for the robot, then build it. Your main character, who is the manager of the robot battling group
  that you start when starting the game will have a random amount of tech skill. Tech skill would be what allows you to code more advanced combat moves and other skills into your robots and buy new computers that can handle the coding of those more advanced skills, as well as the ability to buy or obtain these parts needed for the more advanced skills that you want to code into your robots. Also, the tech skill would introduce something that I think you werent expecting. You could hack into other robot teams, and steal their robot software, then link it into your robots to give them extra boosts that you couldnt afford or get in because of tech skill. Hacking would be limited to offline mode, but if you add onlinline mode, the stats of the robots you have will still remain. And, about the offline mode, it shouldnt be IP based. It should be where you enter your name. You either look for a person who is online and request a match, or wait to be requested. 
 When waiting for someone to come online, you could train your robots from the online portune of the game, without having to leave it. I think you will find my library quite useful...

Hi all,I coded a new bgt class which some if not many of you will find useful.It is a message history class, with a method like that of mush-z and similar to swamp and other games.This is an interesting class which allows you to save up to 100 messages for later retrieval (currently using a very basic custom screen reader class which works with any reader, contained in this archive as reader.bgt).Basically, it allows you to store up to 100 messages, allowing you to retrieve them either by using alt+1 through 0 (you can change the modifier property to any key you wish), or by using page up or down (ctrl page up going to top, and control page down going to the bottom of the list (you can change left control for this by modifying the modifier2 variable.)In your games while loop you must use the process() class method to ensure that it checks for message history shortcut keypresses. If you forget to do this, the class will not work properly, though
  you will still be able to store new messages.It needs a variable called lang to run, defined as a global property in your script. The reason si that this script is multilingual, currently with English and Spanish languages. To set it to English create an int variable called lang and set it to 1. For Spanish, set it to 2.PausesBy using the add class method and setting pause to true, the script will wait for you to press return to continue execution. ok... good. And, Might I make a sudgestion? I think it would be nice to have the ability to request PVP battles where you use a shup of your fleet, and the other person yses one. You are both put in a virtual sectar, as in, you are still technically in fed space or on what ever planet you were on, but you are virtually in really deep space. When the battle ends, and the persons ship goes boom, you dont actually die, it just puts the ship and you back on the planet or space station that you requested the match from. This should prevent players from getting mad about other players killing them. It should also prevent players getting mad and posting that it wasnt fair and begging for a restore over chat. So, Unless in the match, you wouldnt be able to shoot at anything unless it was a numbered planet, or numbered AI ship, such as a pirated starship, or an uncharted colonies corvette. That would remove the problem of random killing, but still give p
 layers the ability to duke it out in space...

And thats exactly the problem, in edition to the fact they have no regulations. And they claim to be a tech company, and the Ada doesnt apply to them? Seriously, the Ada needs some serious work. And all these problems with Uber, yet the nfb allows them to be a sponsor! And the nfb isnt doing things right either. Just cuzz theyre a networking company absolutely does not give them the excuse to facilitate discrimination by unregulating things. Theres gotta be some regulation, such as, once a passenger is connected to a ride, that driver is instantly being videoed and the video is uploaded to the cloud for uber to see. But then the problem with that is that anything and everything is recorded, but silent feeds would fix that. The camera would see the passenger having to get outa the car, and it would be obvious it wasnt right.

Hello,Im also having some bugs: I had 1 person on the first ridge, others in the ice vallie. I wanted to muve everyone but leave 1 person there, because he was tired. I sware I did tell everyone else to travel away. But they just all rested, even if I checked twice last turn that I set everything right. So I asoomed that maybe I cant have people in 3 diferent locations. So I then muved the person on the first ridge (that was before that also tired).After that I just droped a blanket from 1 person to give it to a female that was verry cold, but for some reasen, I wasnt able to pick it up.I could post the save file here, but from what I tested, I cant open it anymore. It seams to be broken.

Epitaf connection info and soundpack info

Hi:I know their has been some discussion on here about Eptaf on the forums before. I cant find any official topics relating to epitaf so I thought I would creat this one.   the company be investigated. Theyre a networking company, but they are not! a tech company. If they are! demed to be a tech company, then, again its the Ada that needs some work. OUr Ada is not even close to complete, discrimination cases from other places county fairs, airports, school whatever, have gone unheard as far as the lawmakers are concernet, and its us that have to do the shouting to give them the wakeup call. Yeah, its great to have a voice, but they shouldnt need so much of us they should just realize its wrong, while were holding our ground, then, actually take the time to fix it! This is the problem with the law at this point. A killer gets charged just as they should, but a discriminator or discrimination facilitator can get away with it and remain unheard for all of a few weeks before they are finally! investigate. Companies and even the lawmakers sometimes also make the lame excuse that we as blind people and disabled are 
 a low-incident, a minority, whatever. Wrong! Why should we be considered, a minoirty, when us disabled people could just become part of! the majority?

If so, you either need to have VipMud running as administrator in order for it to properly add folders to itself, or have it installed in somewhere differnt than the default location.We have just enhanced repair centers; they can repair airspace defenders and ground combat vehicles, too!

The only problem I have with the the sound pack is that its just like alter aeon, which makes the game feel cheesey and boring. The town sound is what agrivates the crap out of me the most. Ive heard it way too much on every other soundpack-eneabled MUD. So now, I play on MudRammer for iOS, where I mainly just use gags and just a little sound here and there. Id prefer a silent town than the alteraeon stuff over and over again, please people? I mean, even if you have to walk outside into the streets, with no cars around for a while, and just record with your iPhone and just have it echo across the sterio field to make it sound higher quality, thatd be fine. Just please? No more alter aeon please?

I too, vote screen reader, and strongly so.I played exactly one game of traders of known space, and it completely turned me off VGAs titles - a person should not try to fake being a screen reader. Use voice acting for characters, not for messages.I also really like smaller titles - just because we have big disks doesnt mean we need to declare a vendetta to fill them up.In a counterpoint to this - beatstar did a good job with the self voicing. Its a little choppy when reading numbers, but all and all it works well for what it needs to do. That said, beatstars not an rpg. It only has a few messages, and presumably this would have a whole lot more than that.

That random thing was actually with john dean, yes me, but no admin/cheating abilities. And he fought back and hearly killed me, which I would have been fine with. Just keep that in mind. Also I seriously forgot to update the changelog, I wasnt thinking what I did it and just wrote what I did but jyst saying, other changes include: making energy go down a lot lot slower when you walkChanges some of the sounds, if you didnt notice. Tried to make it so you could hold delete to drop items, but I broke it and they drop 2 killion times faster than they should. Will be fixed in the next version. So you want me to fix the tree bug, I will atempt to do that, and any other bugs I can fix in this update. Anyway, ill get started on it and see what I can nail.

For the store go to west elm street (it starts south of the main street, go behind the main street and a bit east to find it) and go south there and check for wood bariers every fiew steps. Alright, im going to post my stance on this ishue here. While I dont condone random killing just because your board, because a ship is in the way, I do agree with severe storm steve on this ishue. It is! Entirely your responcibility, and falt, if you ask for a fight, get shot down and lose all your things, or if you open fire on a ship and said ship fires back and you go caboom. The simpple thing here to learn is. If you are afrade of losing? Dont pick fights, thats the one understanding that 2 players have when they enter a battle. Its no different to going into a combat mission. If you dont want to die via npc pirate? Dont, go into that mission, its very simpple to understand. So, while I will! Put a stop to and attempt to control random and uncontrolable killing in deep space just because a ship was their, I will not sit here and play babysitter because you couldnt be responcible with a space vessel that you worked for. KeyIsFull, I forgot to add it to the menu! Whoops.Aaron, nice catch. The defeat menu was being affected by something else I had changed, so it was never showing up.Thanks for the save file, it helped a ton! I do believe Ive solved the traveling issue, and I think the same bug was probably causing those items to mess up where you couldnt pick them up.The update is posted.Changes from 0.5 to 0.5b- Fixed the Smokey the bear fault, which was added in the last update but I forgot to actually list it in the menu as an option, hahaha!- Wolf respawn rate has been adjusted. It was already pretty low, but Ive actually lowered it even more.- Fixed a bug that was preventing the losing screen from coming up once your last person had died.- Saved game files will now correctly save the summary from your previous day. The summary was showing up blank after loading in a saved game. Any files 
 already saved before this was fixed, will still load with blank summaries.- Fixed a bug that was sometimes affecting travelers, especially when multiple people were traveling together. This bug was affecting their items and sometimes preventing them from actually traveling once the turn was ended.- On normal, easy, and baby steps difficulty, you will start out with at least 1 knife and 1 lighter. Hard and impossible difficulty will still start where you receive only 1 of them, at random.- Added a new perk, Fruit fly, the double edged sword. At the end of each night, there is a small chance a person will grow into the next age. While this is a cool way to turn children into useful adults, there are some disadvantages too.- Added the Homeless fault. Each location offers fewer tasks for upgrading your camp.

Heya!So Ive been wondering for a while if there was a more accessible way to read long topics on Reddit. Shorter threads with, say 100 posts arent exactly a problem, but when comments start branching and you need to expand a ton of stuff to read everything the mountain of text just gets bigger and bigger. Ive had my browser or reader, not sure which actually, freezeat a few times after having moved Down a few thousand posts in a topic.Other than that I dont really think theres too many problems with the site, although I cant speak for posting and such since I dont have an account on there.Either way, any tips/suggestions/whatever? Might there even be some sort of accessible Reddit client I could instal? Any feedback is appreciated ^^Thanks in advance.

But i did die a lot in missions. A surprise hit the audiogames forum members earlier this week, in the form of long time developer Jeremy Kaldobsky releasing a new game, entitled Pawprints. If there is anything you would like added, keep it small for now that youd like to see, any bugs etc, please report here before then. New in 0.75.3Fixed an offle bug with voice chat whare people could use the lag it provided when sending data as an exploit! Unfortionatly the only way to do this was to make the game lock up temperarily while the data was transmitting, but it shouldnt be too badWmahahahahahahahaha, fixed that bug whare you would have in your hand what you had when you last died or exited! Fixed the item dropping, one item dropps every 250 ms now rather than 25. HahahaFinily fixed the offle tree bug whare you could press page up when there was a tree cut downNow you can track items, yayayayayayayayay!

Hello,[[wow]], I can now say that this is an enjoyable game. However, Im wondering something. What is the best way to keep people happy? A lot of them are sad, should I get camps up wherever I can, let them res for a day then just keep moving on, setting up more camps as I go? Should I complete as many tasks as possible at locations, or just do the necessary ones such as gathering supplies and camping before moving on?

About morale: Setting up camps is good for everyone at the location.burying the dead is good for everyone at the location, except the person who was doing the burying.Making them rest is usually good if the camp isnt already taking morale.Winning against wolves seems to help the winner. Moving people around seems to make them stay at their current happiness rating, and can often actually decrease it if the people are moving to a location that decreases morale.Losing limbs to frostbite decreases morale for the loser of the limb.The death of a person can sometimes make everyone more sad. I think it might be if they are starved.Aprone says kids slow down the morale loss, but I am not really sure. It still doesnt make children worth having, really, because they can do so little.

Hay Aprone, you were right about the menus being cluncky.To declunckify the menus somewhat, it might be a good idea to make escape always take you back to the summory screen.The people screen could have a way to assign tasks, so you dont have to back out to the location screen to do that.If someone is traveling, the task option would just show traveling, or something.It also might be a good idea to put something at the bottom of the site task screen that shows how many people are doing what task.Or, better yet, only show each task once, but put something like 0 out of 6 assigned next to it.Ill play around with this a little more and post what I find...Later!

I agree, currently we can use our hand to drink only in the rocky spring, even if we could drink with our hands in nearly every water sorce. Not sure how much coding would that take, but we can do it already in 1 map.Also, I notesd that you cant fish in the pond in the beautiful forest east of the marsh. Depends on which Hangout app youre using. If using any app on the pc, open a conversation, tab to the more options dropdown, choose the options item, then tab to and hit enter or space on the delete button.

Well then, Ill put another suggestion: how if we can drink water from the same water source directly, this will make the game more realistic. Yup the pots and bottles benefit is saving some water for you until you need when youre far from a water source, so no need to create some pots to drink a water, and youre already in the water. Thats it.

[[wow]]! Congratulations! I hope I also manage to end it someday without loosing hope after someone dies and starting over, heh. I hope Ill manage to do it now that I can make quite a lot of food, and dont need to even starve kids to do that, heh.@Aprone, its great that we now automaticly start with a lighter and a knife, but I still sometimes get only one, even if I have set it on baby steps. One time I got 11 knives and even 1 more blanket than usual, but no lighters. One time I got 1 lighter and 1 knife, like I should. And one time I got just a lighter. So is the chanse to get boath just higher, or is this a bug?

This topic is old, but I hope you dont mind me bringing it back, because now there are lots of players playing that might have new ideas and I also have some (stupid) ideas of my own.41. Every fiew minutes, you press s, h, u and e keys so you are sure you arent to thirsty, no matter where you are (I actually did sometimes check my thirst when I wasnt in game).42. noone can look you if you didnt trust them before ... noone!43. if you want to look someone, you ask for them to trust you, first.44. if you see a barrie, you run to it and eat it, because they cant be poisenus, right?45. When you get a gift and open it, you are verry sad when you see that you didnt get bullets or revolver or flairs or other stuff like that.Those are mine for now, sorry for any tipos.
