I there!Well, I am curious and like to experiment, so, after reading this discusion, I wondered: why so many people recommens python and not visual basic?It's a language that depens on iddentation, and last night I had a nightmare about debugging 1000 lines trying to figure out how many spaces and tabs are on each line So, let's give visual basic a try.The results? In 15-20 minutes I finished a rendering window (without using windows forms), a  basic gameloop, whitch accepts keyboard input, so if you press M, it shows a message from a string variable, and if you press C, the game closes.It took 15-20 minutes (with pauses to research how to declare variables and include refferences, etc), and there are no more than 20-30 lines.Note: I used sfml (an external media library), and tried to minimize .net framework elements.It's my
  first experience with visual basic, so, my opinion is that you can use it to make games easily (though intelli-sense works much better with c#). If you know a bit of basic, even the old one, go ahead, it's easy and your way will be much more easy with all that previous knowledge.Some advantages:Visual basic has a good readability, no {}, no semicolons, and statements use some english words instead.Fast and easy integration with .net framework (now open source).A free accessible ide (visual studio community 2013, or 2015, though it still have some accessibility bugs).Fast and easy windows form designer, etc.I can post the  code here if anyone is interested. On Alter, maybe mainland is different, though I have heard balancing to solo correctlyis being worked on. I will admit I don't enjoy eq balancing but that's mostly because I simply do not enjoy looking through a giant list of information or items and picking out the best set, it takes me entirely out of the character and situation and place, after all I am pretty sure actual! medieval knights and soldiers didn't wander around trying to decide if the plus three armour rusty enchanted good quality iron breastplate of force was better than the splendid shining leather jerking of fire resistance. Really D has lots to answer for. That is the principle reason I quit aardwolf, I actually liked the areas, and the fact that you could basically dip into little bits of full fantasy or down right weerdness, fighting everything from orc chieftains to your own unconscious (it reminded me of Eamon), however I was not going to sit and look through giant eqlists of doom 
 until I found a resistant set. While I don't particularly mind how the eq system of a game works, I do prefer if the eq system is fairly obvious and you don't need to massively minimax, sinse personally I prefer actively participating in combat with moves and spells and such than just having to wander the world in search for different bits of turtle shell then let the events play out. I've not played hellmoo (and never will), but I agree this was a nice fact in Wayfar1444, that you basically could build equipment logically and use it, though I don't know how it worked with pvp. This however again is something I like in Clok, sinse while Clok does have equipment values, they're all pretty obvious and possible to work out logically, eg, if your going somewhere cold you need a warm cloak, there are just a few categories of armour and some of them are a real incumberence unless you know wat your doing, indeed I like the fact that in Clok equipment i
 s part of the world, not a separate numerical minimaxing exercise. As to rp, well I've got nothing against it generally, but to be honest I don't personally see the point of rping in a massive online world where your just one of  thousands of players, sinse how do you get a plot or story? and however good the admins, no program can be completely adaptable to everything you want your character to do.If I'm going to rp I'd rather do it with a propper gm and some friends around the table, not just being one in a crowd. Of course if people want to rp online, fare enough, it's just less my thing as compared to the tabletop variety.As to Steller aeon aurin, well I thought it was currently in closed alpha? If you've played the alpha, then maybe pass these concerns onto Dentin. I will say space is pretty hard for flavour text, but I'm sure more could be added, I also do  remember he said something about propperly explorable planets t
 hough that might have to wait for a few updates.

I usually don't jump into topics like this to complain, but it seems to me this is getting rediculous. We've been promised the game all of yesterday and today, and yet there's no word out and noone who preordered has even gotten their games yet. I don't believe it takes this long to finalize a demo for any game. This is where I think mainstream developers and Japanese audiogame developers have it right. You hardly hear anything until its confirmed... and release dates aren't set until the company knows that they can meet that deadline. I'm still waiting for this game, but I'm getting more and more disappointed and relieved that I didn't preorder it. Case and point, Shadow Line. We'll see lack of information for months at a time, yet when an update comes out it's always been something noteworthy and something new to make the game fresh.

Hi.Fair enough if developers can't meet up to their own time schedule, but I think the reason here is quite weird.1: Us who have preordered the full version should not wait for the demo version to be released, but instead the full version which we have payed for. So saying that the time schedule is delayed because you are working on compiling the demo version is not a good reason to us who have bought the full version. We want the full version, not the demo version. 2: Long time ago, in an other topic, I and others requested that you make a place where us who have bought the games can download them instead of having send mails out manually. I thought that was fixed, but well...If I haven't received the full version of the game at sunday this week, I'll contact Paypal to get my money back for an unreleased product.

Hi.Do you have other  registered projects from GMA? The only thing which come to my mind is that you have written a character in your username which the registration system won't accept. My real name have a letter which isn't in the english alphabet, so I did a mistake then I bought Paladin of the sky because the registration system wouldn't accept this letter in my username so my key didn't worked. post code please. if it is possible, please create a basic menu, and a start game option that lets you walk around on a little map. I don't doubt you I'm just curious as well as to what it is capable of. Because of the form designer I was thinking of building a small autosaving notepad in it with some basic tools on it like s quad word, but having forms makes it easier than it is in pure basic.

ahoy allSeems like I was being a bit of a idiot and thought that other long ranged weapon was the rope but it came out wrong in the translation or something. in the end I remembered that the rope was in the warehouse in 1.2 the first room which somehow I had missed. sheesh...on 5.4 now and just grinding to increase my defence and attack so that I can take that tree dwelling monkey down. at level 37 and I'm needing about 4kxp or so to level, is that right? I shouldn't be questioning it but it seems a bit more somehow...6.1 was one of those levels which really took me ages to figure out before and that too with bladestorms demo of the thing, looks like I'm in for fun times in the future without it. :dgrryf

for the wrapping to top/bottom bug, this seems to be caused by hangouts. What I do, since I use hangouts, I just kill the last open instance of the chrome process, which, on linux, can be done by executing "killall chrome" On windows, try "taskkill /f /im chrome.exe"

6-1 and 6-2 are actually not that hard, you just need to know your Japanese numbers. For 6-1, first fly up to avoid the first turbulence, then fly down for the second. Keep alternating up and down until you find 2 turbulances that are very close, I think their at position 800. Go to altitude 10 and you will avoid both of them. Note this explanation of 6-2 isn't the best. Avoid the first turbulence at 100 by going up to 29. The next time you hear the voice, go to 17 or someware around their. I know that 17 works, but you can also go to other altitudes before 17. Basicly, go down until the alarm stops or when you reach 17. When the alarm goes off again, go to 9 or 10 to avoid the next group of turbulances. After this, their will be a long wait until the next group. However, this is really simple. All the turbulances in that group can be avoided by staying at altitude 1, so if you want it to end now, go to altitude 1, and fly at maximum speed to the end! 6-3 is landing, and that
  gets explained in the level itself. If you have instant translate or you know enough Japanese to understand what it's saying, the instructions on 6-3 tell you how to land.

Hi,I do rather like this game. The way the whole thing is set up is pretty cool and doesn't require a lot of command memorization. I often enjoy games like this. I just can't seem to get my people to get off their butts and do anything useful. I tried a couple games, and one of them I got lucky and got all teenagers and adults with only one child. I figured it would be an easy start since teenagers and adults were capable of a lot. Oh, how wrong I was. As soon as there was even the slightest problem with a person, they sat down and refused to do anything. The result was one sad group of starving, lonely people sitting around feeling sorry for themselves. My one request is, could you make the people be just a bit hardier? I mean come on. They should be able to deal with a little unhappiness or push through and accomplish something if their fingers are a little blue.Nice game though, and I'll keep an eye on this thread for future updates.Edit; Just t

Oh, sorry for the double post, but I would just like to let you know Aprone that the building materials bug is definitely not fixed. When I set up a camp in an area, I apparently used up -6 building materials, and there were more on the ground than there were before. So just a heads up. Also, I think that changing the names is a great idea. I think I will do that and start a new game just to see how traumatized I get when things happen. It'll definitely make the game more interesting when my girlfriend breaks her leg and I have to leave her behind, or i get to force my parents to help build up the camp. Let's have some fun!

The Unicode for backquote is, you hold down the alt key, and type 8245 on the numpad key. but note: it only works in Microsoft word and wordpad.hth.

I think the Juaras thing is a glitch; when you add the juas afterward, it confuses the pronunciation bit, and it basically sticks between sounds, so long as the sounds were part of a diphone normally. I wonder if the behavior would be different if the language was set to one with different syllabation from English? Or would the glitch just not work?Basically, Eloquence has to be caught with its mouth open for Juaras to hold it open.Hmm juarasjuasjuasjuasjuasjuasjuas umm.Neh, I can't figure out a way to start an English word with a nasal, otherwise I'm pretty sure it could work on nasalized m or n.Maybe this?Hmm juarasjuasjuasjuas mbop!Yay! Theoretically, the offline US English google tts voice could probably work with nvda, it's just the synth data witha bunch of java files, all that'd have to be done is write a driver for it. IT's opensourced so it shouldn't be that hard. The android version, sadly not as of now. Even the good one like the jellybean/ice cream sandwitch version, no. It's opensource, but it's a .sso file. .sso is basically a dll on android, it's code specifically designed for arm processors though, so even if you were to get the code, good luck gettin it to run on windows.

You guys do realize that if you issue chargebacks, the person who receives the chahrgeback does not have to pay the chargeback? They can just not use PayPal and they'll be fine. The only way you can force them to pay the chargeback is if paypal forces the payment to occur, something that can easily be reversed if you tell your bank that it was not a payment that you made.

@dark yea i like the ideas of the elites and have some notes down on how to do that. There will be bosses as well of course but i like the idea of some monsters randomly being elite. That is an interesting concept on a have to kill battle I will add that to my notes and think about how I could do that coding wise. I could do something like on the main boss if you kill it it deals 100 damage to all other npcs. the other npcs just re spawn if killed regularly. I hear you on the writing but since im not the best writter I will likely be outsouring that to friends and that wont be until later on in the build process. I will however post the classes and some skills so you guys can get an idea of whats going on. I will also post some info on how each of the 5-6 zones will be laid out too. @razvitasca the best thing i can suggest is to make sure you are level 15 before you try the battle having a second attack really helps. another thing is making use of 
 your stat mod potions and being fully equipped. if you are still having trouble let me know your class and i should be able to give you a bit more help.@connor142 quest to the core is playable as dark has said but it would be a little bit of a challenge. although the game is easier than battle arena straight up without the accessibility its much harder. I have heard from visually impaired people that have completed battle arena not sure anyone has beat quest to the core.Just finishing up reflect/thorns tonight.completed on npcs, players, items and testing skills now.

This is where I start to get nervous. So I've been on steam since probably 2007, and its been there all this time, and never once have i failed to be able to re-download a game i've purchased. Now, there is the whole accessibility issue which is irrelivant to this topic, suffice to say, steam is absolutely 100% inaccessible to screen readers period. now getting to the point. Whenever audio games come out, usually, there comes a time down the road when a developer wants to hand them off, and I get that. I am not saying that this is a wrong decision or even judging someone for doing this. Where I get a bit iffy is from a customer standpoint, because when I buy something, I want to make sure for as long as I want to, I can use that product, and I reinstall my system about twice a year to prevent slowdowns, etc. Let's just say something tends to come up. But if i cannot get that product again, that tends to bug me a bit. And OK so you say that its the end-user's re
 sponsibility to keep the file, that's fine, i can throw it up on dropbox, google drive, whatever. But when it comes time to activate that game, whether it needs a key that no longer works, or something happens and i cannot retrieve it, then i get a bit annoyed. Now, GMA has given me keys after I have lost the emails, they did not have to do that, that's a service and its one I appreciate. All I'm trying to say is that when games are changing hands, I tend to get a bit nervous. I haven't bought TDV2, but I've wanted to, I've just been strapped for cash as of late and not buying any games, and as of this announcement, I don't think I'm going to even when I can just because I don't know how that's gonna work with someone else having control. It's like me wanting solid footing to stand on. Now this sort of thing happens all the time in open source, where package maintainers want to hand off and someone takes over, but that's a 
 bit better because its most of the times free software.So to sum up, I guess this sort of wishy-washy nature of audiogame development kinda makes me a little nervous because I'm wanting to protect my investment, even if its as simple as me investing in my own entertainment. I hope this makes sense, I'm about half loony because its like later at night and I tend to get that way. Again, I'm not casting blame, or trying to start a bash fest, I'm just posting my point of view as a customer, and of course, any, what we call here in the states, intelectual property of the creator can be done with as the creator wishes, he / she has that right and I'm not trying to put that into question.

It's not even extracting, and keep in mind if you use a filescanner you may not get sound filenames. Sounds are usually encripted for a reason anyway, and if you choose to decript them obviously they should be for your own personal checking out and obviously don't distribute them across the net.

You can enter unicode characters in any text field; Wordpad and Word just have additional features to make it easier. (For example, type some hex codes into wordpad and press alt+x and see what happens).

It's only the numpad.To make things weirder, it uses a different character set depending on whether you start with a 0 or not.So if I do alt135, it comes out as ç,But if I do alt 0135, it's ‡I only remember the codes I use most often off the top of my head. ... So ™, some diacritics, and archaic English (Fun fact: Eloquence will pronounce ð in the middle of words, but it only says "thorn" for þ, even though boðe were used in English at the same time.)

Cheat programs work with BGT as long as the developer hasn't taken steps to thwart cheaters. However, you probably can't save cheat files, cheat tables, cheatlists, or anything of the like for future use. A few games that take active steps against cheaters are Super Egg Hunt and Adventure at C:. In Super Egg Hunt, some values you can cheat will result in the game making a buzzing sound and exiting immediately. In AAC, useful values are encoded in such a way that it is impossible to find them.

Hence why I didn't preorder. I kinda figured this would happen. No disrespect meant to Jake, whom I've come to consider a friend outside the gaming world, but the last few titles have shown me a pattern that, as Turtlepower stated earlier, isn't exactly encouraging. When the game finally does come out, as I'm sure it will, I'll certainly try the demo and decide based on that whether or not it's worth my money.

I've played around with the windows version of this software. It works with NVDA, jaws, and to my surprise, narrator on windows 10. You have to have a midi out host, such as Cool Soft virtual midi synth, qBase, or a hardware keyboard  connected to your pc, as if you were going to use it with QWS or another sequencer as a midi controler. Just like QWS, BandInABox uses instrument lists to load the propper banks and channels in the midi synth that you are using, to correctly send the right notes to the right places, so you don't get a piano or something playing the drum track. It can use a vst, but the vst can't have a program browser, like demention pro, and it's vst support is not usable with any screen reader. If you have no midi host set up, it will use gs wave table. In the midi driver setup dialog, uncheck to use vst, because, by default, it uses a vst version of wave table, even when you have it set to a midi host. The question that I ask, is, is the m
 ac version usable with VoiceOver? If you want to try the windows version, the company who develops and sells it is called PG Music. I was really shocked to see that Narrator on win 10, works with it, just as good as NVDA. I know, you're probably thinking, if it works with one of the worse screen readers, shouldn't it work with VO? Well, I'm not sure, because, you can't compare windows screen readers to screen readers from different systems, because they're coded differently, and they are being used with different interfaces. So, yeah. I'm not sure if it will be usable with VO. If anyone has tried this, on a mac, please let me know
