Control up and down doesn't seem to change the volume for me in vlc, I don't know why. when i change the volume from the menus, that works, and the rest of the keystrokes work too. In fantasy stories these amulets usually have powers, but I don't know if real amulets still exist or not. I think the closest thing to an amulet might be a necklace. Ray, did you get started with your work? also, does anyone know how to get machingboard to sing? Mockingboard was a sound card manufactured for the apple 2 in 1983. it has both music and speech synthesis and the speech part can sing (I know that because it is demonstrated in the pack in demo software). while the music part was heavily used and supported (especially by larger companies like EA and Oregen) the speech part was sadly overshadoed by the echo 2 and such that was rarely used. If anyone could do a mockingboard version of there are 7 days let me know. I am sure that louis briant and jasan smith might have the knowhow since they are quite familiar with the apple 2, as louis hoasts source code for nearly all the apple 2 games (at least those programmed in basic) and jasan has the preconfigured apple emulator. BTW, Gross's version of merry had a little lamb was for echo2.also, to anyone who has a doubletalk somewhere, could you get it to sing that song as well? Patrick perdue got it to sing a paroty of daisy bell so I know that is possible. Re: Survive the Wild! I think using a spear is fun to cut down trees, but spears weren't really designed for that, so I'm glad that the axe has finally been introduced. Great change log over all. Since there is the ability to make hammers, we can forge blades out of metal using them over a fire. So, that will be awesome for sure! As for the safe zone, I'm not sure if I agree with that. This isn't Swamp or Ultrapower, where the safe zone heals you and allows you to buy items, so that probably isn't necessary. Finally, I think shields should protect against all attacks, including knives, spears, arrows, and bare hands. They are still around in amusement parks and peers and boardwalks and such. If you like games and the idea of video games and such you should read Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. In this book there is a sort of vertual reality gaming world and the maker of this world is dieing but before he dies he creates a large treasure hunt in his gaming world. Now this gaming world has tuns and tuns of gaming planits and so many different arieas. One such planit is an intire plannit of arcades. The person that wins this scavinger hunt gets his whole fortion + the game world. There is also an evil power hungry corperation that wants to find win this fortion so they can start charging for the free vertual world. This book has so many refferences to games, and movies so many things. It's a great book! On the one hand, the Swamp Map Editor seems to work well enough for arbitrarily large maps. On the other hand, I tried putting a screenshot from Sonic 3 through my image viewer and couldn't make Knuckles or Tails of it (the start of Angel Island Act 1, after the intro scene. Lots of trees and such making it confusing.).People have suggested the Swamp Map Editor as a foundation for an accessible Paint program before. Povray3D might also be accessible since it uses a programing like script system to raytrace images mathematically, although theres no clear way to percieve the results. I've been poking around with a tool that breaks down an image into its component RGB values and allows users to move pixel by pixel, each represented by 3 tones for each color value. The biggest issue though is scaling, its difficult to properly convey a large, or even medium scale image. The tool itself would likely function best as a pixel art tool for creating 64x64, 32,32, or less scaled art, which isn't so bad because pixel art is still pretty popular and in heavy use in the indie scene.I think maybe something like a hybrid of techniques and inputs could be used to put together a kind of multitool, not sure. Also super cute video, hehe. And this, people, is why, despite claims of free recycling services, I still just use external drives. Why not? They're not subscritpion based, in eed you could buy yourself your own cloud drive structure and set it up yourself for pretty cheep in the long run. I've pretty much learned that whenever Jyro gives a release time the best way to cope is add an indefinite length of time to that. As for me I'm seriously considering purchasing since the story and concepts are definitely interesting, but I'd much prefer to see some of these bugs fixed before I fork over any dough. Hm, tried digging up a copy of the Swamp editor but all the links appear to be broken.It sounds somewhat similar to what i'm working on, being based on the interface for AudioRTS. It renders a 20x15 grid of 32x32 tiles representing pixels, theres a scan line function where it will sequentially play a horrizontal row, then move down and play the next row, etc. I also plugged in a Meijer scanner for a whole image snap shot, but i'm not sure if the qualities worth it. The size limit isn't capped so you could concievable make a 2000x2000 or 4000x4000 image, and you can load existing image formats from other sources and save as png's.Its still abit rough, but I hope to include an eye dropper tool for sampling colors on the image to paint elsewhere, cut/paste, area fill, and color customization. Still working on the representation for the RGB values though, using pitch, volume, or time. Here's a link to the Swamp Map Editor, but it has no graphics.When I was working with my image viewer, I found that straight RGB values were actually pretty hard to interpret on their own, so I made it possible to assign sounds to specific colors. I basically just used a text file full of color name / RRGGBB pairs, has the program match RGB values to labels as closely as possible (permitting shade factor and darker/brighter variations), and the user could assign sounds to individual colors just by saving .wav in the sounds directory. I'm not really sure how important this feature is, since I never released a version anyone could work with, but it seems like it could help. Nor should they be immune to the Bird Bombers' boms if they happen to be caught in the blast radius. As for reloading the bow I would think he'd do it automatically the way Link presumably does in every Legend of Zelda game.
