I think I've died maybe four times.that said, I do wish adventures themselves were more of a priority. They still do come out from time to time, but the focus on player vs. player has really put me off. I pop in there every now and again to see if the three or four best players are still sucking up most of the unique items. Yup, they are. But I also sometimes play quests that are new as well.I dislike that the wiki and the forum went down. It's now far far harder to look ahead to see different options, which I freely admit I used to do sometimes. Regarding the filename part, are you specifying the name as a program parameter? If so, spaces could be breaking it.I'm not sure if the forum is removing part of the code, but that code should be throwing runtime errors. with open("{}".format(filename), "rb") as infile:
infile.read()The infile.read() here is redundant because .read() returns the entire content of the file as a string. This isn't allocated to anything so it will just read the file and do nothing. You don't really need to format a string here either since there isn't really any other text in the string, you can just call with open(filename, "r") as infile instead. Also binary and textfiles are different, I recommend just going with the default "r" file mode. This is actually default so you don't even need to specify the second parameter of "r".for line in file: your input file is named infile. The type of the file object is file, so that code is literally trying to iterate over the type object of a file.If you do for line in infile, you may end up with some strange blank lines and characters, I don't really know why. Python actually has a readlines method on file objects so you can just call lines = infile.readlines() for example then iterate through those.You can use .replace(original, replacement) to replace characters. This also lets you replace them with the empty string. So you can just do line.replace("%", "") to remove all instances of a % character in a string.

This will prevent people from screwing with other people's ships. It's too easy right now to...saydock with somebody's ship, go to the console and start salvaging and deliberately failing it. Something like a locked flight computer would prevent this and still allow people to hang out on ships. Re: Python Help Needed Running your script with a file called "2of12inf.txt" seems to run ok, which would mean that the file your trying to load is either misspelled or not in the same directory as the script thats trying to load it. There's a few problems with your approach as well, strip() will only remove characters at the beginning and end of a string, not at any other point inbetween. To solve this you can iterate over each character in the string and add it to a list, and check if it matches a percent character, skipping it if it does. When you use infile.read() it reads the file and returns it as a string that you can process, but if you don't store that return in a variable it will be lost. You should then iterate over that returned string instead of infile. Samurai hits hard, can draw and strike with iaijutsu, do tons of damage etc. Ninja is really hard to play and eventually forces PVP.ZombieMUD has a samurai class that can summon it's own sword and uses a war glove as a second weapon to punch things and throw shuriken. So kind of a mixed samurai and ninja.Tsunami, if it ever comes back up, has a samurai class that focuses on critical strikes.Discworld has a ninja branch of it's assassin guild. Forced PVP as well. I think it also has asamurai branch of it's warrior guild.RoninMUD and ArchonMUD have samurai classes.7 Degrees of Freedom has a samurai class you can eventually unlock. What, because of Adam and Eve? That's even worse - punishing people for something they had no control over. Sin is an entity that is capable of committing immoral acts, but if morality is subjective, then sin is also subjective; and I believe that only a sinful deity would commit such a heinous act against his own creation.Your second claim is a false analogy. Considering that he's the creator of everything, I don't really buy the argument that he's trying to protect you from hell. One of the things I like is solving some of the tactical problems--you have to deal with a mob of monsters and how do you best accomplish that with what you have and the layout of the current dungeon. There are also other aspects people enjoy. But the problem with most rogue-likes seems to be the interface. RTU will get pisst, but it will balance the game.3. an item limit. say around 30 objects, not counting how much of them you have, for example, 13 item grabbers and 1 shield will count as 2 items.4. add a limit to bases storage, same thing as inventory, 30 or even less. this will stop items piling up over time.5. if you put food in the base, make it use more gass, sinse food needs to stay cold or else it goes bad. someone could say you don't know what type of food it is, and this is true. i recall the sound of it, and it doesn't sound like chips or that type of food.that's it for ideas, i'll post if i think of more. When I press NVDA shift r, it's just passed through as a capital r. Was the keystroke changed or something? You have to go from the output of the mixer to the line in port of your soundcard... and in that case, why wouldn't you just plug the victor stream into the line in of your soundcard to begin with? Short answer, the connections you are using would be used if you were sending audio to the mixer from the soundcard. You can open those internet shortcuts if Firefox is your default browser. However, adding new shortcuts to the favourites folder I don't know how to do it.Mozilla Thunderbird does have an address book, though I don't know weather it is used to manage contacts or save email addresses for later use. Anyway, I can say it is a truly good e-mail program. Re: Looking for a dual 1/4 inch female to dual male RCA Cable I actually have one of those rac to 1/8inch adapters, and for some reason it just doesn't work. Plugged the two rca's into the mixer's rca inputs, plugged a 1/8in patch cable into the rca adapter, and plugged the other end of the 1/8in cable to the line-in port of my c-media usb soundcard. Plugged a victor reader stream into channel 1 via a 1/8 to 1/4 audio adapter. Selected the soundcard as my default input and output, and all I'm hearing is buzzing. To me he comes across as more of a selfish Little kid WHO throws a temper tantrum if he doesn't get it his way rather than a loving and accepting father. Not sure how I'm supposed to even consider worshipping that. But I guess we have different ideas of what to look up to, heh.
