1. In the official yu-gi-oh rules, you can have no less than 40 cards, and I believe no more than 60, so either the mud doesn't strictly follow the rules or I'm wrong about the upper limit.2. I doubt you'll find more than a couple people on at a time, since the game is honestly pretty limited in it's current state.3. Highlight the player's name using navigation commands. You can then either go over it character by character, or press NVDA plus numb pad 5 twice quickly to have the name spelled for you.4. If the chat works the same as the old version of this game, you just type f and then your message during a duel, for example:f How are you today?

Yeah, you guys can now ignore my previous post, I managed to solve the problem!Namely, before I was instructed to type -duel, I was messing with the MushZ-client options and settings, and probably changed/altered some of them, that was causing the issue...normally after unzipping the sound-file again, by overwriting the old directory and files, everything works just fine, meaning according the instructions given to me here!So I can finally access the game, and I already even constructed a deck in it...it's just pitty I couldn't find an opponent for my very 1st match, 2 guys kept duelling, and I kept challenging the one who remained idle, but no response...so after a half an hour of waiting I just gave up!Man, how I miss Hearthstone, where one could duel with another player after only a few seconds delay...Anyway, the gameplay itself is quite clearly explained in the manual, so I doubt I will have further issues with it.However, I still ha

If someone's having unexpected problems with their net and you fucking ban them, that's a bunch of horse shit. Now yeah if its being spotty and they're on there playing and off and on and off and on yeah talk to them, but don't fucking act like a cunt and be like you're banned. That shit would piss me right the fuck off if it happened to me. i had to have them come out last week to look at my net because it was acting shitty for 2 days, and they found some equipment that was 10 years old and some wires that were dodgy because of squirrels chewing on them, it is fixed now, but I didn't know the cause, so had I come on and then got kicked or whatever then been threatened with a ban, I'd probably go ape on them. I get you want to stop people from evading being killed or damaged and that's fine but you know what you do, is come up with a programmatic solution to it. I'm sure the server already logs when people come on and off, especially si
 nce we see it in chat, so if a bullet or bullet bomb or grenade or whatever hits or is projected to hit their position and they go offline, you know what, log it as an occurance, but don't do anything unless it happens one or two more times, then you send a notification to the online admins so they can deal with it, but then you fucking try to talk it out with them, and then you deal with it, or if they won't respond but you give people a chance ffs. That's how you handle this type of thing. And yeah the rest of us have to deal with the fact that the game is developed by a teeny bopper, and the admin team are probably teeny boppers too. I'm not gonna go back on what I said the other day baout it being Sam's game and he can run it however he wants, but still, pretty fucked up situation. You accuse players of not using their heads, well use your damn heads to come up with a beter solution than throwing down the ban hammer on first offense.

Were you Solomon? I think I saw someone trying to get in and disappearing right after a couple times. I sent them a message but must've gotten disconnected right before you could receive it ...That is a very strange problem you are describing. For as far as I can tell, you are doing it right. You start the client, you get no sound which is normal.Then, the connection is being established, this may take a second or two. If thats not happening and you have to do that manually that already points out there's something strange going on.You press enter which denotes you are using telnet, its not really important what that means, its a technobabble thing, but its the right thing.You give your nickname, which is correct. And then you end up in the chat room with your nickname and you can use -duel to go to the dueling area. But at that point you apparently get disconnected.If you are the person I'm thinking of though, you actually lose the con
 nection on your end, not on the end of the server. You essentially go linkdead.Have you tried from another computer or another network? I'm wondering if a firewall of some kind is bullying you...Zersiax

to get guns, you have to kill the shop owner. They usually don't appear right away, so you might get long knives instead. to track kills, you press k on the character, it unfortunately has no way to track your entire gang's kills.

That would explain why the game stutters on my computer when alt tabbing and doing other tasks, i've never been able to find a solution. @everyone else, i've coded the start to the security system. As it stands now, doors will be unable to open if you are not an owner on every object, though since older ships don't have owners this won't come into affect until I finish off the owner system. Once I have all of that finished, I can then move on to other activities.

Well I've got a bit further. I did decide to buy the game because as blindncool said, it's not the most complex thing around but hay it's amusing for a bit of random slaughter and pointless violence . different weapons are now showing up which is nice. I wish though there was a way to unload pistols. I seem to be picking up a bunch of the things, but I can't usually get the bullets out, indeed it seems better mostly to stick to melee weapons simply because amo is rather hard to come by, indeed you get more amo thatn weapons. Some options I'd like to see are a way to sell things to the black market, maybe even become weapons smugglers, (say ou had to survive attacks long enough for a smuggled shipment to leave), also some hiher level mission targets and unlockable stages would be nice, though for what the game is it's fun for ten minut
 es pointless slaughter and I bought it for that reason since it's a nice stress reliever. The only thing I don't really like is the fact of killing people who are begging you not to, I know the game is intended to be fairly silly, but that to me is going a bit beyond black humour and into the realms of just nasty for the sake of nasty, still it's personal opinion and won't  me hacking someone up with a knife in this game and knicking their stuff .

Spiraling Wyvern, you bring up some good points, but here's why I think these changes were never made. We keep circling back to what my point has been all along. Most people just don't know how to play the game well. I will admit something. Over the past week, I've noticed people getting smarter and better, and as a result, rs has become much harder and more enjoyable. However, the amount of people that still do shockingly dumb things like mindlessly rocketing at close range, not checking before grabbing, running away in a straight line, not using their bikes to move faster and a host of other things still make it hard for me to believe the game is unbalanced. All the people who aren't on the RTU who play well don't seem to be complaining about how unbalanced the game is. From what I'm reading, it doesn't seem like you've ever played. The shotgun, although wide spreading and hard hitting, fires slowly, and ammo for it spawns in small packs, 
 so spamming it isn't going to help you. It also only hits 20 tiles away or less I believe, so you're going to have to switch weapons at some point to finish off the guy if he's a runner.  I use the shotgun to slam people's shields if I can get close or damage them hard, grenades or rockets to nail people from afar, crossbow, throwing knives or, if I can get a little closer, machinegun as other ways to wittle  away at they're shields or health if they're getting away, cyanide for a quick kill if they have a lot of shields, you get the point. I think some of the weapons are just there for color, but many of them have their uses, so please don't be like everyone else here and talk about stuff you don't know. all weapons lag a bit as well depending on their damage, so no control hammering. I think weapon lag and availability of ammo balances the need for reloading weapons, since all that is is a form of weapon lag, which rtr did not have
 .My agreement with you about how fair it is for bases to be constantly alive is mixed. I don't have the time to stay up all night messaging the RTU and checking up on the base to make sure it's still there. In fact I just announced to them that I wouldn't be logging on to  redspot for a while because of just that. I think the definition  of fps has always been log on for half an hour, kill and get on with your life, and I'm starting to think rs has gone down a different path from a traditional fps, and not one that is healthy to people with lives. Once I finish my redspot fast, I'll have a talk with Sam about ways to make it so this thing isn't so much a competition of who can constantly stay online and guard. I'm thinking bases who's teams were deleted, that is, everyone logged off, become transparent, meaning nothing can hit them, or even better, are moved to a separate map, called storage.map or something, where obviously no
  one will ever be able to access. I'm thinking to retrieve your base, when you create your team again, you'll type in the door code for the base to get it back. That sounds pretty fair to me.Because here's the problem with resets guys, and I said this in post 111. It ruins the game for the people with no lives; the people that actually want to have all that health and all those items and spend half a million years to get it all, and they've spent all that time only to have their work just, deleted. I believe there are other ways to make the game fair to people who are just starting out without ruining the game for the veterans. We have to try to appeal to both sides as much as possible. No one ever commented on my ideas in post 111 about separating teams from solos or newbie flags for people so they have an item collecting grace, both things which I think allow people to get better.Here's my disagreement part. Again, there's always a balance
  between the features of the game and the willingness of people to actually try. The night the RTU got revenge on the thieves, yes, it was two against three or four, but the only, and I mean only reason why we were even allowed to get close was because they slackened their defenses massively. One of the guys was doing a fine job keeping me away, and he had lots of stuff, so I pretty much didn't have a chance. That is, until he slipped and didn't check before placing a barricade bomb, undoubtedly trying to undo the damage we were doing to their wall. I'm betting the guy had half a million air because, well, RTU stash, so the fact that he didn't even put his mask on before placing it knowing that I was being a determined son of a bitch was a stupid move in deed. He learned very quickly that the damage over time effect from 13 cyanide shots, well, it really doesn't feel good to the lungs. The other guy was even dumber. He fricken starved. Guys, we had over 4000

Danny, quick question, this is something I've noticed on my I7 laptop (Yes, I got an I7 laptop BE JEALOUS!)It seems everything is sped up on it. So...been playing the demo here.Is there a timing to  going ham on people?I mean, opening mission in the party, I always seem to take damage, I worked out space is attack butI just seem to have to stab people several times, are they somehow blocking my knife attacks?Also.is there a way to see how much cash I got off the missions? I've actually found the game to be a lot easier at lower levels because all the cops do at that point is punch you so you really don't lose much health.

you'd need the mushreader plugin for automatic reading with screen readers, and the plugin that the mush z client for alter uses for output generation. Also, there is no mush soundpack.

That is really encouraging to hear—thanks for sharing! Agreed that it would be great to publish on a major platform. Unfortunately, that's another area where planning to do something from the beginning is a lot better than trying to retroactively make it work later on. We'd definitely be in a better place to publish on a major platform if we'd been planning to do so from the start; now there are certain technical hurdles to overcome that we could probably have avoided if we'd known in the beginning we might want to publish elsewhere. They're not insurmountable...it's just still a very big question mark at the time being.

unfortunately, after you're banned there's not much you can do. sam and his admins haven't had much in regards of a reputation when it comes to talking to banned players to find out if the ban was valid. Basically, once you're banned, you're banned for good, or unless sam decides to reset the ban list. Or you change your ip and basically everything else the admins can find out about you when you log in.

you are generally able to get the pistol already at level 2, but as your level increases both the chances to find the pistol, and the chances for entirely new weapons will increase. Also, both police and civilians will eventually begin using better and better weapons as well. The steel shield is the only armor available, however as said it does increase in defense as you level up. The police station mission doesn't require you to break a cell, all you need to do is kill all the cops which completes the level and releases the captchered party member.

Thanks for that. any rough idea when new weapons start showing up in the weapon shop to give me an idea of what happens through the game? I did manage to break someone else out of prison which was fun, and I found the bank helpful for bying armour, though again I hope more armour is available later than just the steel shield.One odd thing also happened, I got someone taken by the police and did the police station mission, however where I was expecting a cell to bust them out of, I didn't see one, I just had lots of police running after me that I couldn't particularly take out and eventually got killed. As I said I'm not against the game but if I do decide to buy I'd like some idea of what I'm getting.

you get better weapons, including guns, by going into the weapon shop with a higher level. Grenades, which are only available at a very high level, or bombs will break the doors a lot faster, but if you're not patient you can just destroy the wooden doors for weaker people. The only way to get the shield is through the black market, and you can either do more bank runs and continuusly update your version of armor you have, or tough it out till level 100, where you stop leveling and thus the armor stops increasing in price and effectiveness.

Okay since I now have a machine that would run it I decided to try psycho strike. A few things in the demo however are strange. first, where do I get a gun? I've gone to the weapon shop and keep picking up cartrages, but don't seem to be able to get a gun out of it. Second, prison seens near impossible to break someone out before the demo ends, indeed in my last game I only just broke someone out of prison before I hit level 8 and finished the game, simply because the amount of smacking those doors take is sort of nuts, especially with a knife. also, is there actually a way to get armour? since it seems the price keeps increasing.I lastly wonder if there is a way to check your goal progress, eg, how many people you've killed or how much cash you've got since presumably that is the end of the game.I am not directly against the game, I don't mind a bit of mindless violence in a good cause, and am sort of amused by the g
 ameplay, but I'd like to try the demo out properly before deciding whether I want to invest in the game or not.

You know that going offline while a person is trying to kill you during pk, to avoid getting killed results nothing but a health set to minus and probably jail if you do it for the second time. However, if you keep on doing that you might get banned for quite sometime. About pk not turning off, you will have to stay online for long. I am not going to tell you how long however. You can't turn it off because:You keep falling off a treeYou keep hitting yourself with your knife while trying to cookBurning yourself while trying to cook as wellUsing a weapon such as a spear or knife, any weapon even fists will cause a pk timer reset.Solutions for that, stay and don't do anything ecsept for eating and drinking.Try turn pk off every 15 minutes or so, until you manage to do it.If that doesn't solve your issues, then I don't know what in the world else you are doing.

Hrm, how does multiclassing exactly work?  I can't tell if I can get both chosen classes to lv 151, or if having two would set a hard limit of total 151 between the two.      I'm also not sure which class to second in with thief.  Can't really do archer as I already use wield/held for other things so not much room (or desire) to fit a second set of weapons/held items.  Maybe I can add warrior for better direct attacks to follow up backstabs or something. hrm.

Weird, I thought the policy before was that if you tried to afk while being actively chased that it was against the rules, but losing your pursuer or getting some massive distance was allowed before afking.  Though I see a major issue of this when one is not sure if they are being hunted down, or the other person who's getting closer to them is after them/someone else past them.  (I before the update used to chase a single target and ignored others who I ran by).      Further why I think these fps should stop with this freeroam crap and actually have set match structures. Wouldn't need admins to police that, anyone who logs off is out of the match and loses their score/gets a loss on their record.  (Okay except Swamp as that was designed for something else, cough).

I know I mentioned this topic got derailed earlier, but now it's off the rails and impacted against an explosive tanker, sending it's remains skywards and out into the distant sea.     Kind of not interested on who did what to change this topic from problems some people had with the current direction and balance of the game to maturity levels of the people, but since the Dev seems more adamant on addressing that over ignoring it and continuing a discussion on changes and possible blaances (and the diction used) that's kind of giving credit for whoever started that.       Ignoring that massive shit show, I feel like we needed more balancing with movement and weapons before releasing this base building stuff from what I've seen recordings of.  We didn't even have set clips for weapons before for crying out loud, one of the things that balances out a game's firearms to be less silly. 
  The fact I can gather a bunch of shotgun ammo and rapid blast someone while chasing them is really dumb. RTR had a shotgun that could two shot people, but had only one shot before reloading.  Considering the game consists of spam the strongest weapon with lots of ammo behind it, setting clip sizes and varying reload speeds may actually have people switching to other weapons in a firefight.  (also requiring one to stand still or reload slower/move slower while reloading could help in this too).       I'm not going to comment much on the base stuff again, I already displayed my displeasure of its current form.  The few defenses of the system I noted involved someone having to wait for the other team to be off line, to then spend 2-3 hours locked down in that spot as 5 people kept attacking their base with what sounded like him defending it on his own.  That honestly sounds far from the definition of fun being forced to sit the
 re and continuously fend off people because no one else i know was active and my base isn't protected while I'm off line.      Admittedly, base building/defending could be a fun game match mode with people shoved into teams and having two bases, and everyone either set to gather materials and other supplies on the field, defend the base, or kill the other teams for cash rewards.  Would not need to cap the hp and other supplies of bases as this mode has an end to it, and the other team is sucking if they cannot breach your base when everyone started at the same point on match's start.  Considering someone mentioning there was an account and password system being setup, maybe we could actually implement actual game modes and match making along with upgrades and other rewards for winning?      Or people will end up pushing for items and hp to be saved on log off and everyone's complaints about this game would
  continue.  Not my decision to make.      And because the other crowd needs to be addressed, starting a silly discussion on maturity levels and attacking the dev randomly isn't the way to go.  neither is complaining and continuing to play the game.  If you really want the dev to be spurred into action for change, the easiest thing to do is to stop playing the game if you have complaints that are not being addressed by other players.  A bit counter productive to your argument if you say this game has worsening problems, but still play the game.  if you're not happy how things are, just delete Red Spot and let the server be dropped down to just the RTU and the rare random person who logs in.  A situation like that would forward a stronger message.

I have just been banned from redspot because of the horrible and hanus crimes I have committed against the players, the server, and the developper. And do you know what this horrible, unforgivable deed, this nightmarish act of destruction and death, this terrible showcasing of rule breaking and game damage was? Wait for it! wait... for... it... oh the tension is so unbearable... being called away for food. And I, connor, this skoundrel, this highwayman and robber, this gangster and mobster, this murderer and arsonist, typed in the /afk command just before a few bombs happened to impact my position. These bombs hit me about two seconds into the afk timer, so I did not bother to move. Thus, they did not damage me. I am so, so, so unbelievably sorry for the deadly sin I have committed, to answer the call to family lunch at the wrong moment. Oh yes my friends, I shall now burn in hell for this one instance of iniquity. Oh I cannot believe how foolish I was to answer the call of life,

I would suspect the roads were like the ones in frogger, ie a large arena where you could move up down left or right with cars coming from left and right and the river at the top, either that or full 3D. to be honest though you could get a lot of the saem effect in death on the road by interspersing bonus stages and other obsracles in with the roads, and by having left and right arrow to pickup items as you said. If anyone is up with Bgt they could probably give this a go I think, though again who has time and interest I'm not sure. to be honest though, in terms of arcade games for audio, a lot has already been done between oriol's stuff and crazy party. Much as I always have a fond spot for the likes of pipe 2, it's nice to see things have indeed progressed even in a genre that we've had so many items in previously. I'd actually be interested to see what people could do mixing or action games with other mechanics the way that cr
 azy party, adventure at C and psycho strike have and as was attempted by lords of the galaxy. Imagine for example a resource collection and gathering space game, but instead of gathering resources each tick, you had arcade/action minigames to do things like asteroid mining or the like. I actually hope that danny is going that way with the new deathmatch, but we'll see.

Question is, who would take this up?Also the experience is a bit different, as it's a kind of endless road with little safe spots. Also rivers. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a manual as such, so the only way I'd really be able to know what's going on is if someoen went into massive detail about the rules of the game, whether you can hold down a button, what left and right is used for, etc. Of course, the roads seem to be completely random too. I think left and right is used for collecting coins and items.
