Actually vortex is pretty cool, was playing more of it this morning, albeit it has one rather annoying mechanic where to get new robot fuel you need to check in literally every hour! Still if you have access to anything that can run alexa its pretty awesome, especially with the voice control.

This game is so weird so it's fun. Died at the age of 3, getting insulted by my brother.The adds are so annoying so I supported the developers by buying the game. I would either end up getting so annoyed by those stupid adds so I just dropped the game and removed it from my phone, or buy the game to give it a serious try. I chose the last option.

I'm especially interested in hearing more about the handhold part of the console. How you switch from the tv console to the handhold. Do you need to sync data between those, and how it works. Hey…Yeah, I tried to contact the developers earlier on the forums, but didn’t get much in the way of help. It might be worth more people doing so, when I get back to the computer tomorrow I can pass along the thread I made. My plan for the moment is to keep working on the script, and try to make it slightly friendlier to use. I am hoping to stream again on Saturday, with access to more information.  I should note that the community on Reddit has been very helpful, answering many questions and giving play advice.

Hithe reason why bgt doesn't handle command line parameters from source is probably because it runs bgt.exe  and the .bgt file cannot take command line parameters so Philip just says ok, let's ignore that, I'll just take my command line parameter to open the file.It's fine though, rhythm rage uses that a lot for develolpment, just keep a compiled copy around.

I honestly didn't. I just took this list of shortcuts from Steam and ran with it. The tutorial is entirely optional and you can just ignore it completely.As a note, I've got a small accessibility script I'm working on which will help with reading trade prices. The only way to get info out of the game with scripts is to send it to a debug log. I basically have a scrip which will run through the goods available for sale on your current station, and produce output like this…Good Meatsteak Cahoonas, trading at 106 creditsGood Silicon Wafers, trading at 459 creditsGood Crystals, trading at 1813 creditsGood Energy Cells, trading at 18 credits. YOu need to read the log file and clear it manually each time, but hopefully I can automate this at least a little in a future version. I'm trying to find out how to bind this script to a keyboard command from the trade menu, so I don't have to muck about in the game's internal script editor to run it.I'll keep everyone posted

Yeah Aaron I wish their was more complex RPG style or open world IF as well, but thankfully the IFDB has a tag for built in hints so that takes care of much of it, plus they often have links to walkthroughs if you need them.You'll find difficulty ratings sometimes too and the other tags should help you find out if a game is particularly puzzle heavy or advanced before hand, along with the user reviews which are sorted by helpfulness.A guy called Math Brush makes several useful lists too that should help you find more narrative driven games or those more for beginners that will have less difficult puzzles.And siria, those suggestions are spot on. You always have so much useful info to give about IF and I end up giving you at least one thumbs up every time their is a new topic where someone ends up asking what games to try.Your knowledge is really impressive! Maybe you should try making some lists on IFDB your self? I'm sure they'd be appreciated!

hi everyone,i think some of you already know it, but re 2 remake will be available in a few hours, and i preordered the deluxe edition.i'll try it, and i'll post my findings if anyone is interested. seb, are you there? haha.the good things i know about this game.the movement, it is like resident evil 7 but without the first person cammera, so, you don't need to play with the cammera just to pick up an object.the demo had an aiming assist feature, but in the full verssion, there's auto-aiming. you need to activate it first.well, i'll post my first impressions later.

Also if your interested in any python OpenGL examples using Pyglet for things like batch rendering, multi-texturing, or basic 3D modeling and perspectives, just ask. You can use a constant, COMMAND_LINE. It's a string that returns everything passed to the program. You'll have to check if the script is compiled, however, because for some inexplicable reason this is blank when run from source.An example is as follows.void main(){alert("test of commandline parameters", COMMAND_LINE);//orif(string_left(COMMAND_LINE, 2)=="-t"){alert("test mode", "running program in test mode. X3: Terran Conflict, like Smugglers on Steroids

Hi all,I've been  wanting to write this post for around a week, ever since I first stumbled onto this game more or less by accident. I hesitated because it's not perfectly accessible, and there are some parts that are kind of confusing at the moment. Nevertheless, I had a bit of an accessibility milestone today and so thought I'd share.X3: Terran Conflict is a giant, sandbox space sim available here  on Steam. It's kind of like a souped-up, elaborate version of the Smugglers games, only with much more going on under the hood and requiring the use of NVDA OCR to play. This normally would be inaccessible for us, except for the fact it features a lot of spoken audio, a very robust autopilot system, and scripting.The basic premise of the game is familiar, you start in a small, inadequate ship and can gradually work your way up to larger and more powerful ones with a combination of trade, combat, and doing missions for any of several factions. What distinguishes the X series from similar titles is its depth, and the emphasis on a dynamic economy you can fully participate in. You can end up owning not just ships, but space stations and factories and whole fleets, which you can use to fight for you, become rich, and potentially even conquer entire sections of the universe, depending on the mods you have installed.The reason I mention this game here is largely because of its modibility. You can write scripts to do pretty much anything, automate almost any task, print out information from the game to files, and a lot of other things. I'm working on making a series of accessibility modifications to help with certain sections which aren't as nice as they could be with OCR alone.Even without these modifications, you can do a lot in this game purely by hand. THere are keyboard controls for almost everything, ranging from hotkeys to menus, and you can easily control multiple ships by giving them orders remotely, a feature rather unique to this game. There are software upgrades your character can buy for his ships which automate everything from trading to combat and exploration.If there is a flaw in the game at the moment it's that the audio isn't quite as complete as I wish it were. An excellent example of this is the way trade is handled. I'm working on modifications to put trade prices into a log file, because the game reads just about everything else outloud itself, including lengthy item descriptions. There are also inaccessible symbols used for missions and such, which I will hopefully be able to address at a future date.FOr anyone interested, here is a stream I did last week, outlining how I do things and what's still problematic. I note that it isn't the best quality, there are a number of issues I had with it that I've since found solutions for, such as the disappearing space stations and problems with undocking. OThers, such as trade price reading, are currently in progress but showing significant promise.Is this game perfectly accessible? NO, some parts aren't, but it's already more playable than it has any right to be, and I think there is a lot of potential for future development with a few scripts. I wish I could connect it directly to NVDA somehow, but for the moment that's beyond my abilities. Nevertheless, I thought I should pass this along, while space games seem to be in vogue.

My only concern left with stages 11 and 12 now is that stuff does crazy amounts of damage in that level. As in, when I did it on hard, I died a ton in those levels. So I'll have to keep myself safe. Carla's upgraded AI should make it so I can feel free to get away from her and spray stuff to death for awhile before getting close to her again. My biggest main issue is that sometimes I'd end up in situations like this. I'm at, say, 70:0. Carla is at 64:0. Fire Stone appears randomly at 59:0 and starts rolling toward us. I can't shoot it because I'll kill Carla. I can hop over her and attack it, but it'll blow up and either kill me, hurt Carla or both. And if she handled it, she'd usually blow it up on top of herself. And I feel like I got a lot of that. Fire stones just kind of showing up randomly right next to one or both of us. Too bad they can't always spawn from one side of a level or other, instead of appearing randomly, but then maybe that would make it too easy?

I tested shadowing myself and having Carla take care of all stuff in 12-1 and 12-2, and she managed to survive. Although her health once got 14%, I believed she would make it and decided (in other words, determined from the beginning) not to heal her. I am a terrible person as a teammate.

I keep a portable version of Firefox 52 ESR around solely for WebVisum since it doesn't appear to work on later versions. Firefox ESR now uses version 60, so WebVisum most likely wouldn't work with it since it uses Quantum.I last used WebVisum about a week ago with no problems. You can get Firefox 52 Portable ESR at https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/52.0esr/. Just select the appropriate version for your operating system from that page.

It just occurred to me that I don't think IOS would even be a remote possibility for an app like this, considering that the keyboard hook for this thing is an accessibility service. Teamviewer probably has an underlying engine for this (ironically, I never actually used Teamviewer with anything but the onscreen keyboard on ios and they had actual screen buttons to send windows key commands across the network. IOS would probably never allow the system-level key hook that allows nvda remote keyboard control to be truly system-wide. Wonder if that's gonna finally be the thing that pushes blindly-following IOS-lovers over to Android? Lol.

It's usable on Firefox 52, the last version of Firefox before the legacy extensions got removed. Find yourself a portable copy of that, and you're set. As I always say whenever this topic comes up, don't use an older version of a browser all the time, but in this case, as long as the captcha doesn't accompany any sensitive information, it should be fine.I also heard that Rumola got removed from both the Chrome and Firefox stores recently. I wonder what's up with that? I guess, like so many captcha solving services before it, it finally folded due to lack of funds.

Oh, are you sure it always happens with certain accounts? If so, I might have a clue as to what could cause it. During early internal beta testing periods, we had a bug with certain accounts which was hard to reproduce, until we figured out that it's caused by entering first letter as capital when you log in. However, this was fixed since a long time ago, but it might still be some combination involving mix of lowercase and uppercase. If possible and if you have somebody affected by the issue, try to log in with all lowercase and see if that fixes it. If not, I'm afraid there are no logs for such situations. Anyways I'm sure we will find the cause, it will just take some time but it's definitely something that needs fixing before the stable release.

@7 Damn. Your story has so much I have not experienced. I'm glad that person was there for you and I give all respect to you for continuing on. And @post 5, you are right, I do not believe in God so there is no direction for anger to go. Can't ask mom about my history and stuff because she passed when I was 12, and dad never payed too much attention to it, not to say he didn't care or he didn't participate in decisions of my life, just that my mom seems to have been more focused on it, from what I can assume from when I ask my dad questions. So yes, very frustrating indeed.

also have to share a couple stories that would be really sad if they were real.The first was I had a girl get beaten to death by her younger sibblings when she was 8 after insulting her little sister.The second is my current guy lost his Mom at age 7 in a landslide. hey, loving the game but any tricks. I usually can't up my stats enough by the time I get to the first boss to beat it. The stoneman is particularly frustrating. I usually have only gotten 1 elixir of growth by then and that usually isn't enough to push me over the hump to beat him. I know attack is the way to go and I know he appears before the giant who is also attack, but I can't get enough items/weapons and stats to beat him by the time I get to him.

I am for the most part. it was a necessity for me, growing up in a family who is pretty much incapable of being emotionally supportive. I used to escape into things like music, reading, and journaling almost obsessively. I gave up journaling when the file I used for it got passed around the school for the blind I went to. Long story, but needless to say, I pretty much shut down after that. For a few years afterwards, I threw myself into always being there for others, letting them take what they wanted, or only having surface level friendships so that people wouldn't think I was crazy. I've heard that more times than I can count, too, and again, that's a whole complex story. But what changed my life was meeting someone who actually encouraged me to be myself, who didn't think my interests were weird like so many others do, and even shared a lot of them. To him, not being forthcoming about emotions or things that bothered me, or saying what I thought was a bad thing, and it took me a long time to get used to that. There were cultural differences at play there, and I honestly never realized how fucked up certain facets of American society are. Yeah, I always balked at only being worth something depending on the title you hold, not who you are as a person, and I always wished for a truly meaningful connection with someone, but I never realized how hard it actually is to find said connection unless you present yourself in such a way that you seem 100% normal. That's why I've been adrift these past couple of years since that relationship ended, unable to reconcile the fact that I have to go back to a life of pleasing everyone else at the expense of myself, never letting anyone in because they're going to think less of me. In a professional capacity, if I ever do get a job, I'll put a brave face on for my employer and colleagues, that's just something you have to do no matter who you are and where you come from. And I'll always have to act a certain way with my family, basically being the shoulder they lean on, and being ready at all times with my patented brand of witty, sarcastic humor. I'm told I'm good at that, anyway. But god damn, it's difficult to not have that outlet, that respite, if you will, of people who truly get you. It's hard for me to go back to a life of holding things in. Before, I didn't know any better. Now that I know that there's another way, I don't think I can ever be that person again.So, to answer the actual question, I think I hide things because I know I must, but it's a lot harder now than it used to be. It's like walking up a mountain through molasses every day, but I suppose that's how most people measure strength.

@2, i think you’re missing something. Some games uses an analog stick rather than a d-pad to move around. In PPSSPP, the key for the analog stick is I for up, K for down, J for left, and L for right.

@20, I was thinking you could do some kind of controller model. You'd need a controller with force feedback (and if that fails, you could just use a sound), but if we could apply auditory feedback to the image, the user could move around the image and draw. The controller might rumble if the user reaches the edge of the image, just a soft vibration to say, "hey, stop", and (in graphics terms) the user could draw points, lines and triangles to create very interesting images with great amounts of detail. You could even do it in 3D too. I'd be happy to get in touch with you and aid i the development, something like that would be awesome. Rendering it to a shader (for instance) would be more difficult and time consuming (mainly to program), but if we could get your program outputting shaders and things that could be used in (say) games, the blind community could try its hand at creating games with graphics using OpenGL, for example. It would be more difficult to do (since not everyone can see he screen), but that's a problem for another day. Baby steps, after all.

I come from guatemala and I grew up with the Latin american music from Marimba music Bachada  to Merengue. to Salsa. Mariochi, to Reggaeton, to many many more.  I also llike to listen to music from the middle east like Arabic music and Persian music. .  two of my most favorite musics to listen to are music created by the Shakuhachi  fluit from Japan and by the Duduk instrument from Armenia..

Yup, I always have to hide head akes, don't know why they are hapenning though.I can do the same with stomac akes or if I have a bad feeling in my troath, but if my legs hurt, or arms, I can't really do much to hide it.

I'm also sad to see Blind  Mice Mart discontinueing their series hosting service ...I previously send them a email (way before they decide on taking down their series) to consider other services such as Google Drive or Dropbox as a cheeper alternative to Sendspace, but no one came back to me ...I also asked them if I can help recording and uploading series for them, if they can tell me how they does that, but in regards to that, I was also ignored.

Music stiles from around the world.

What kind of music from other countries, places, and cultures have you heard before. Did you like any of it? Do you listen to any of it dayly? For my part, I've heard a bit of every thing, from mbira music from zimbabwe, to the music of the  Himalayas, to the music of the andes, to latin american music, mid east, and about every thing else.It's hard to pick favorites. But I really like native american music, from all parts of the continent, although some of the flutes can be hard on the ears. I think that native american music is some of the most  pure music on this planet.I like a lot of latin american music. My father is from mexico, so I've heard a lot of it over the years and took a liking to it at a young age.Music is a universal language in the sense that often anyone can understand it no matter where it’s from.

So while failing at an affine cipher, I decided to take a break. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. In short, I coded something else: Note, replace 2, 3, and 4 greater than signs with spaces. I don't know, would that be considered a cheat? Maybe it should be added, but earning the Santa achievements would be restricted because you didn't actually play the full game.On a completely different note, is there a way to transfer my achievement list to another computer? I have several machines and want to sync my progress. Where is the data file for macOS stored? Is the data compatible between Windows and macOS?

Aaron you could always play this endless game. btw, it has got 1 special item which is a minigun, it starts shooting when you obtain it and its like rapid fire in audio defence
