Can you multitrack in OBS? As in, take 6 mic inputs from an interface / mixer on separate streams, pan them, and treat them with eq, compression eq? The reason I chose the reaper solution is because I would already be familiar with the bulk of the work I need to do and would simply need a way to send Reaper out to OBS.

I am not going to rage into mason much like I did in my last topic, but I feel that it is just time to finally move on from him and all that he makes. Over the past few days, I have learned just how toxic the SBYW player base can be. It isn't a good place to be, and if this will end a lot of the drama that has surrounded Mason's games, then that might just be a good thing.

no, you can't do that, for a simple reason. 2dp don't has most of the surfaces, don't has convaior belds and checkpoints and doors with no sounds and also some other stuff at all. Also, why don't you do a server list? Then the hosters can deal with the drama and you're free. And it's still a better idea then selling it to selling it to control wanting charlie or untrusty ivan, come on you don't need to make that mistake again just look at the agnet sbp treath.

Help with hazing issue (may get controversial)

This is going to be a very long and drawn out post, and quite a controversial topic. Below I will describe the situation, the solutions so far, and then messages at the end.Before I begin, I want to point out that yes, I do have a personal opinion about which solution I prefer, but I asked her what she prefers and she does not know. I also asked her for permission to post this, and sent her the whole post before submitting, so do not think I am  posting this without checking with her, or trying to give a solution that I did not talk to her about. I have an opinion, she is not completely sure about which solution she likes best and that is ok.I have a friend who is in middle school. She is completely blind. There is a boy at school who enjoys hurting people due to family issues. Sometimes when she is walking to the bus after school he targets her. He has hurt her twice, and now has her phone number and has been sending threatening texts. So far her brother and I are the only ones who know, her brother is in high school, I am in high school and a different state. Her parents do not know yet, We haven't told them yet, but now that the boy has her number and is sending threatening messages we are considering telling them. Here are the solutions we have thought of.Solution 1: tell her mom or dad and have them talk to the school about getting a police officer to walk my friend to the bus everyday, and maybe keep a distant eye on her in other parts of the day, but not enough to violate her space. My analysis, I don't think the school would take it seriously enough unless they saw the messages, but I do not know what would happen beyond that.Solution 2: have her parents get one of his parent's contact info and talk to them about his behavior. My analysis, I was informed by my friend that his parents wouldn't care since they have a few problems.Solution 3: Here is where the controversy starts. Before you immediately reject this solution, think about the next paragraph, and the messages at the end.Gather a bunch of people together to spam and say basic negative things. My friend found out that the simplest phrases make him pouty. So getting like 10 or 20 people to text him simple phrases and spam him will teach him to leave her alone.Why I choose solution 3.I don’t care what his problems are. Ok? I don’t care. If he wants to be irresponsible and not control his problems and wants to hurt people and bully them then there is no shame in pushing him down ourselves. There is no shame in making him hate himself. There is no shame in teaching him not to fight fire with fire. There is no excuse. I don’t care what problems, if he does not control himself then he deserves to pay for it so he does learn. He deserves it. There are limits to someone’s responsibility and actions, and this is beyond those limits, this goes passed them. So I do not have any shame in fighting fire against fire if that's what he wants to do.And some may argue, he can't help it. He has issues that he can't deal with properly. And I call complete bullshit on that, you know why? Because I know a woman who has had nothing but problem after problem, with more problems, and more problems pile and pile on top of her, but she is one of the most loving and caring people on this earth. She is still fighting every challenge with a strong mind and healthy heart. I will not describe the issues here but they are absolutely devastating. So if she could stay strong from battling teenage years to her 40s, then what excuse does this boy have? Tell me, what excuse does this boy have to hurt people, if that woman has struggled all her life with multiple situations at once but she has never had the thought of hurting another human? Parents guidance or not, there is no excuse, and, sometimes the only way to learn is to be treated the way you want to treat other people. I'm sorry, but sometimes there is only one way out, and it is the way they came in.If you think he doesn't want to act this way, that he doesn't know how to act differently, then this will open his eyes and make him realize it hurts to hurt people. And that will give him a chance to turn himself around, and my friend despite being hurt and bullied would not mind helping him recognize it is an opportunity to change. If he does not actually want to act this way, then good, but this does not make his actions justified or ok at all. He will have to learn the hard way that it is not ok, like I had to learn the hard way to let go of my sight. Sometimes there is no easy way, and when that lesson hits hard, it opens your eyes and gives you the opportunity to turn around. I chose to, so he might want to. I will say it one more time, that does not make these texts ok to send, that does not make hurting people ok, just because he has trouble acting differently than he wants to.If you still want to reject this solution, read the following messages. I'm fairly sure crystal clear would be much easier to do than Prism, lol at least after a quick Google search... Prism almost seems like a whole other game. CC at least seems to keep the majority of crystal's assets as they were, new maps and backend stuff aside. lol The footstep thing being an example, also the random trainers have been replaced by scientists, receptionists, Clares... But we could very easily fix that by just modifying the sprites file, I think? Unless there's more going on to make that work the way it does than I think.

I'm sorry, but this needs to be said. This is my response to sbyw being shut down on friday. The message of the day reads as follows.message of the day: Announcing the discontinuing of SBYW. As of this coming Friday, March 8, SBYW is being discontinued and it's game server will be shut down. Please get any maps off of the server that you would still like to keep. All backups of map and player data will be kept, in case it is still needed. It has been super fun, and I hope to bring you something bigger and better at some point in the future! That's all for now!And here's my rant.Why does mason have to do this, again. I always couldn't stand how he would take things to hart, and shut all of his major games down. Then he would switch to a different company, and do it again. A lot of times people would pay for these games and mason would shut them down anyhow. He went to mtg to sound works, to darkflier. If I were you I would ask for my money back. This shit has to stop. But we know it won't, it'll keep happening. I mean look at Sam Tupy. I can't tell you how many times he's been bashed and made fun of over these years. But he never shut down his online games because of it! Ah well, we can all morn sbyw's loss, but we can look at the bright side. Mason will switch to a different production name, and make another game! If not, I heard Ivan Soto is just itching to release his all new 3d platformer. I'm sure we're all excited for that. I know I'm not. Whatever.

With that said, it was almost four years ago, and I no longer see any connection between your choices. You took a small break, and as many have said before me, I don't know if moderating games is your thing. I happen to know you possess quite a few other talents. I'd recommend  highlighting on those, specifically the ones that don't depend on direct involvement with the community. You'll be saving yourself much time and player indignation. The way you keep acting is not only immature, but far from what any mature individual would expect. I wrote a post just last week saying something similar, but would rather not reiterate because I might have better luck convincing my refrigerator to brew me a nice cup of morning coffee.I think the best way of helping him learn is simply not playing his online games. You will have no ties to whatever he next introduces, so the I bought the game or have many maps or whatever reasons don't apply in the slightest. When you are unrightfully punished as the result of playtime by Mason and friends, all we can do is suggest other games and say I told you so. So I wish this would all die down, as it's been proven time and time again Mason won't learn anything with public ridicule.

And what have you done for this community that makes you worth listening to over others, why should Mason, or anyone else for that matter, be afraid of what you might have to say. Why do you think your opinion is worth so much.All your threat to tare Mason apart on that other topic did was make me laugh, and I imagine that I wasn't the only one. You need to control yourself because though the entire thing is cancerous, posts like number 12 are still more so and only serve to take things from 60 to 100 in a heartbeat for no good reason.Honestly man, is this level of drama what you really want? do you actually enjoy it that much? Is this truly what you wanted out of audio games and the audiogames.net forum? And this goes for everyone else clearly just loving this opportunity to vent some rage as well.I was where you guys are right now a few years ago with the Ultrapower drama, it made me look bad, and it wasn't worth the stress it caused. If your going to insist on coding to fill a void in your life or to help cope with your mental issues, and your absolutely set on coding something for public consumption, than the least you can do for everyone involved is (hopefully) just not make an online game at all but if you must, than disconnect your self as much as possible from the day to day management of it before launch, and appoint someone else you trust to talk to the public and pass on info back to you, after first making it clear to them what kinds of things you will not be adding/fixing, period. Don't promise upgrades, drum up hype for new releases, or talk about preorders or release dates, and only let people who you already know are willing to put up with your shit test it privately, reporting back to you and you alone rather than forcing you to extrapolate from their group discussion.

@362 Hmm hadn't noticed that, I just went by the pokemon's cry, which they do the first time you press zed, and if it's not the one you want then you can back out with x and move on to another. However if you are not familiar with the cries then that poses a problem and someone will have to list the available pokemon to choose from in order.

Okay, I'm glad to here that Aaron, and I appreciate that your paying attention to this topic.I did forget to mention announcements for unreleased games. Those seem to be in a gray area between general games and new releases, so clarifying  one or the other, either a rule about putting some kind of tag in front of the topic name if it's not out yet but allowing it here, or just throwing them all in the general games room instead would be a good idea, unless their already is such a rule and I missed it.How are the plans for codifying the signup rules and general site rules in one place with extra non rule info moved somewhere else going? It doesn't seem like a fun job but I suppose the sooner the better.

I have to agree with 27.This sort of behavior is only hurting the community. it's important to think before acting, and if that's not possible, then development of an online game where you regularly have to deal with the public may not be for you.Granted to be fair the garbage I'm seeing inthis topic isn't exactly helping. Yes, I'm currently playing the screen reader version and compared to the original version, it seems much better!@Dark, I turned auto fighting on, but I don't understand the map thing, do we have to explore or what? Is there a moment where I should turn auto fighting off? Can we loose battles? I just seem to always wreck imps and loot them. Also, what is researching for? I don't see the effect, I'm over 4k research.

Yeah, sounds about right. Sounds like the behavior of a spoiled child or a two year... wait. No, not even someone in the terrible twos takes their anger out on everyone else. No, he sounds like an angry powerless young man who knows he has no power against anything except his game, so he will happily hit his ban hammer because it gives him a sense of power. Every time I see Mason fly off the handle like that and ban someone, or lash out at someone who plays his games or whatever, that's exactly what I think - the poor, powerless little manchild who goes home and kicks the dog hard enough to make it wine after a stressful day of not being heard by anyone. @23 and @24I don't plan to use VSTs. Plugins and VSTs are great and all but they are mostly shortcuts to things you can do yourself, through EQ, gain, etc. I plan on focusing this course on making people experts at the basics of sound design, through which a lot of the plugins and VSTs you get are irrelevant. We won't be doing music either. Maybe later. But don't stress about VSTs, I didn't plan on using them

I have some trouble with wineskin winery

Hi all,With the new beta 3.1 of your_adventure slowly approaching, i also wanted to compile a test version to test on my mac with wineskin winery. But given the latest mac-os update, the compiling of the archive doesn't work as smooth as it usually did. I can remember that i needed to navigate through the setup of the speechsdk.dll, which is the sapi voice, but when I use the hotkey Command + Tab two times, i see that the setup was finished, and after the installing of the archive, i either get a error message telling me that something went wrong, or the game starts playing, but there is no voice ... Of these two, the error message occurs most of the times ...Does somebody have any thoughts on how i can solve this? Should i update my wineskin version? Should i install something extra?I am very curious on your thoughts.Greetz mike

That's easy, because some of the later games in the world, like Mastermind and Simon, often take multiple tries to complete successfully. There's nothing wrong with that, but in order to have enough coins to tackle them, it would make sense to do all of the math games, and do them well, that way you have ample coins to lose so that you can complete the world.

@ironcrossI agree 100% about emoji. Regardless of how we might feel about them, they do exist, and they are definitely wide spread. We certainly don't have to use them if we don't want, but we still stumble across them. I don't mind them either, but I don't use them much myself. One of the biggest benefits like you said was that they can help avoid miscommunication through text. If I feel like a message that I send can be taken the wrong way, I’ll just tag one on to the end of it to make sure the tone is right. I think communication is on track to becoming a lot more visual and less reliant on words. As far as sighted people describing their pictures and memes goes, I don't think they should be forced to do it manually, but I really do wish there was a way that we had some kind of access. I don't spend a lot of time in places where memes are common, but I run into the occasional image that I'd like to know the contents of. Like emoji, the idea of memes is wide spread and is so mainstream that companies even use them in their own embarrassing efforts to appeal to that audience. I really think it would be possible to solve this with AI. Of course, I lack the knowledge and resources to experiment with this, but I have an idea or two.

Mason made a comment earlier that if Aprone shut down swamp nobody would bat an eye, there are people who still do missions on there, and I thought he was one of them. So this whole thing is happening because of another one of his fucking rages? I would understand if it's funding but actually fucking the legit players because you're getting bitched at by a 13-year-old... Not really sure who set him off this time but I've seen times where he comes online, already set off, and then he just takes it out on all of us, I saw people get banned that way because they told him to calm down. I think I said something to the effect of, if you're that fucking hot, might wanna get out from behind the wheel or something. Or when people say things on the forum about him and ns just deciding to troll the whole server. The forum actually has a rule about bitching about bans IIRC.  ALso, where is this topic that set him off so hard? I can't actually find any posts regarding I got banned!

From what I'm seeing online, your best bets for a new machine with up to date specs would be either the Dell Latitude 7490 or the Lenovo ThinkPad T480S.They both have sturdy cases, good battery life, keyboards that are nice to type on, reliable WiFi, and a useful collection of ports including ethernet and at least two USB 3's.They are also both quite quiet under heavy processor loads, light enough to carry without much difficulty, and easy to upgrade and clean by your self.That said the Dell is harder/more expensive  to repair in some ways, but also comes with a significantly better default warranty than the Lenovo, and the Dell may come shipped with more shitty audio drivers, but you can replace those with generics quite easily and the Dell's external speakers are actually better than the Lenovos.If your going to use IDE's that require more system performance, then I'd spring for the I7 over the I5.I'd also go with NVMe storage over SATA if your school is willing to pay for it, since it will majorly speed up startup and load times over the already fast older SSD's. but you may be limited to only unnecessarily high capacity drives that way and that will increase the price exponentially.I can't see using more than 128GB of storage for what your doing, so keep that low if possible in order to reach your price goal.No need to spring for extra RAM beyond 8GB either unless your under your price goal, in which case 16GB is all your ever going to potentially need in a laptop. You can always add more your self quite easily.And I'm not sure of your visual impairment so I won't comment on the screen resolution, but IMHO touchscreens on laptops aren't that useful.If you need to save some money than you could go for the previous generation of these laptops (T470s and 7480 respectively) without much of a difference, or get them refurbished/open box.

@defenderA lot of vst's that rely on visual interfaces often require some form of scripting or OCR to get around, but a lot of the stock PlugIns that come with Reaper are usable via their parameters, and you can get pretty far with them. I find that a lot of smaller, free vst's are more likely to be usable since their parameter list is often a lot smaller. One of the Cakewalk vst's I used to use (I think it was Dimension Pro) had over 800 parameters or something scary like that. The Windows 10 OCR really opened up the amount of vst's that we can get some use out of.

I'm loving the new changes, the game is much more interesting now I can read the log, see my progress and get how fights are going, plus I'm amazed at how much I've been missing of when upgrades are available, thanks a lot for that. In terms of fixes, it might be nice to make the player actions radial buttons that you can go to with the r key, this  way you would not accidentally confuse them with the upgrade buttons, but could check them easily and switch player actions, you might also consider adding hotkeys for those which could be useful for sighted players too, EG G for farm, w for woodcutting, i for mine and p for trap. Actually while I don't usually tend to use hotkeys in web games, as switching  of  browse mode to focus mode and then back again takes time, I have been doing so with trimps since it was quicker to hit NVdA plus space and then a or r then NvdA space again than to find and click at the bottom, though of course that might well change now that getting to the zone display is much quicker.It'd also be helpful when on a map rather than the world screen to have total amount of available items shown next to the zone name, so you know when you can turn repeat off and go back to the world.One other thing to bare in mind of course, is that most people who use screen readers will have firstly higher quality voices that react pretty damn quickly, and secondly listen to speech at a fairly high speed, so flicking around the  and keeping up with the action isn't probably as bad as it seems,  believe me there are text games out there which do go too fast, and trimps isn't one of them.Thanks again for the really cool fixes, I'm finding the game a lot more fun now, zone 25 and counting (just found the resort upgrade).

Turtlepower, i do understand you, but how is the intellectual world heavily based on one type of games, when you need to complete only 2 math games to progress? Sure, you can do all 5, but you definitely do not have to if you do not like that. At first, I used to suck at math games. However, I kept trying over and over, and now I can get over 10 relatively easy in all 5. If nothing, you will at least memorize the calculations the game gives to you.

High school was weird.But we don't even have stupid adventures involving fish throwing lightsabers in Oz, these days. It's all "BGT" this, and  that, and then I say something derailing that everyone wisely ignores, then someone posts about a cool new thing they're working on that, 8 times out of 10, doesn't actually happen, or dies in demo/beta, or takes about as long as Duke Nukum Forever or Kingdom Hearts III or Half... OK this has gone on long enough.Bah, to Oz with it; I'ma bring back "lol im so random" on the grounds that I have nothing better to do. Be back when that fails. Should take about ... five minutes? Hi everyone. I’m not sure if you know about the website called The Sounds Resource. It has videogame sounds, and the one in question is MKX. For Character voices, it says 45 with ten hidden, but Googling one of the missing ones brings up a result. So, is there a way to expand it so I can see all the results? Thanks!

Hello.The score could have started at 0 points, but in this case, you would have needed to have a score of 20 points to open the path, and 30 to unlock it. But also, you would have never lost in a world. It could have been a concept yes, but it would have made the game easier, probably too much. I think it's for this reason I didn't choose it.In most of the worlds, the first mini-game is not so hard. The underground world is maybe an exception, the ant mini-game being the first because of a kind of continuity and not because of its difficulty level.About the math games, I remember that some players said that it's really ridiculously too fast! They found them impossible. Today, they can score 20 points easily, and they often reach 30 or 40. Of course, the will remain a bit difficult for some players, but I suppose it's always possible to get a positive score. However, I agree that it would be a good idea that the intelectual world had an alternate path, but I didn't have the opportunity to change this world.About word mini-games, like it was said, it would be difficult, because CP is multilingual.I agree that there is a particular difficulty in the arenaes. You have to build a deck which must be effective as much in a 30 hp battle as in a 90 hp battle. It's the exact contrary of what you have to do for an online battle. But in the case of the arena, you know the main used type, and you can guess that there is probably at least a bot that has a defensive solution against the weakness of the type.And finally, sorry for the English translation. @greensatellite, I agree a third page is the way to go. I didn't know you already had a pipeline and tools for maintaining those. Yes, with jaws, you can press shift + number to go back. But don't worry, there is a lot of tricks we have up our sleeves. For instance, I can put words in a wordlist and navigate from word to word by pressing W. I can also make a clever search and cycle through results with F3. It's possible to write scripts and assign them to hotkeys to do application or website specific actions. I can also create custom place markers on the page and cycle through them. So there is a lot we can do to cope with a lot of pages to navigate quickly.Again, thanks for your efforts, looking forward to the new interface.

Ok I've got a little update ready! You can test this version at the following link: https://trimpscreenreader.netlify.comYou can copy your progress from the live site to the test site fairly easily. On the live site with your progress, press "T" to get to the menu table at the bottom of the screen, then press down until you hit "Export". Click "Export", which will open a tooltip with your game code highlighted, and all you need to do is Ctrl+C to copy, then Escape to close the tooltip. Next head to the test site, do the same thing but go to "Import" instead of "Export", then press enter to submit. This should load your progress right to where you were. Once testing is done and these changes are pushed to the live site, you'll be able to transfer your progress back the same way!I still need to write up a more detailed guide to make it easier for players who can't see the screen to get started, but here's a quick guide to help you navigate the new version:Press 1 and shift 1 to travel between resources and the button to build your buildings queue.Press 2 and shift 2 to navigate the purchases menu. Once you hit the heading you want, press B and shift B to scroll through the buttons of things you can buy.Press 3 and shift 3 to toggle between the end of the message log and the current zone number. These headings are titled and NVDA seems to do a good job of reading these titles if you use the headings key!Press 4 and shift 4 to travel between Trimp stats and Enemy StatsPress 5 to travel between Trimp and Enemy healthI still wouldn't consider the game anywhere close to being easy to play with a screen reader, but I'm hoping this makes it way easier than it was before. I've also added titles to checkboxes in game so that they're supported by a screen reader so you can customize the message log better now, changed up the information presented on the purchase buttons, and added the cell number to the message log when your trimps or an enemy dies!There's still a lot more that I want to do, but as I said before I'm trying to balance working on this with a new content patch that's currently in development, so I may not have too much time to add new screen reader features this week. Once the new content patch is done, I'll probably push this first step towards accessibility to the live site, and then it will be much easier for me to iterate on!Please let me know what you think of the new version, I'll use any feedback and suggestions to keep improving it!

You can make audio input/output capture sources in OBS for whichever audio source and simply control levels of each through OBS.Reaper isn't necessary. But, with your situation it might be handy. SBYW was a fun game at times. Frustrating as hell on the hard maps, but in a good way. Nevertheless... it had its downside. And that downside is that which is taking it down. It is my hope that now that all online games of his are going down or sold, he will go far, far away from this community. I used to hold the view that hey, someone's developing, let's keep all the developers we can get, but I now know that that is not a good way to think of it. Breakerbox? We didn't need them. Mason? We really... don't need him. It's nice having games, and I respect those who can develop and/or maintain those games with a level head. This is not me standing atop a soap box looking down on everyone - look at oh shit. I had to release a bunch of different vers because I would have to fix tracebacks. Come on, I know I'm not perfect. I just think Mason and his behavior in general are toxic, and attract toxicity. We don't need developers who have to blame everyone for every one of their problems one moment, falsely own up to them the next, and then go back to the former. Honestly Mason I hate to say it dude, but your developer presence here is akin to a leaking ceiling that just keeps getting patched, patched, and patched again. Sure the leak stops for a few days, but what about the mold already in the carpet?As for the reason, from what I can gather, it's not server cost entirely. In the following log, you'll see for yourself in the first 4 lines or so the main reasons, and the rest of the log is loyalists trying not to pis him off. This is the atmosphere on one of Mason's "bad" days, wherein he gets extremely angry, takes his anger out on the world, lashes out, hands out unjust bans, maybe spams and swears as was the case last week, and then apologizes and says he'll do better. I am at least 20% sure that part of the reason has to do with the other topic that got closed by jade last week wherein another user was banned, among other reasons, for protesting against a spam attack carried out by Mason and NS Studios on SBYW. I agree whole heartedly with Bryant. As long as you ensure that newer versions of the server require newer versions of the client, we should be good. It's also nice that people will be able to play this as long as someone is willing to host a server. The problem with most online services is that if the server goes away at some point in the future, you're essentially SOL.I'd also like to inform you that the oggenc2.exe file is missing from the latest download package. This seems to break voice chat.Finally, you might want to consider adding support to newer versions of the client to tell the user when the server requires a newer version. I tried connecting to my server using 1.96.9 and it simply said server unreachable, the same message it reports when the server is actually unavailable.

SBYW was a fun game at times. Frustrating as hell on the hard maps, but in a good way. Nevertheless... it had its downside. And that downside is that which is taking it down. It is my hope that now that all online games of his are going down or sold, he will go far, far away from this community. I used to hold the view that hey, someone's developing, let's keep all the developers we can get, but I now know that that is not a good way to think of it. Breakerbox? We didn't need them. Mason? We really... don't need him. It's nice having games, and I respect those who can develop and/or maintain those games with a level head. This is not me standing atop a soap box looking down on everyone - look at oh shit. I had to release a bunch of different vers because I would have to fix tracebacks. Come on, I know I'm not perfect. I just think Mason and his behavior in general are toxic, and attract toxicity. We don't need developers who have to blame everyone for every one of their problems one moment, falsely own up to them the next, and then go back to the former. Honestly Mason I hate to say it dude, but your developer presence here is akin to a leaking ceiling that just keeps getting patched, patched, and patched again. Sure the leak stops for a few days, but what about the mold already in the carpet?As for the reason, from what I can gather, it's not server cost entirely. In the following log, you'll see for yourself in the first 4 lines or so the main reasons, and the rest of the log is loyalists trying not to pis him off. This is the atmosphere on one of Mason's "bad" days, wherein he gets extremely angry, takes his anger out on the world, lashes out, hands out unjust bans, maybe spams and swears as was the case last week, and then apologizes and says he'll do better. I am at least 20% sure that part of the reason has to do with the other topic that got closed by jade last week wherein another user was banned, among other reasons, for protesting against a spam attack carried out by Mason and NS Studios on SBYW.
