keeping pets and training them

Hi, I have been wanting to ask this for a while now, but hardly get the time these days  I am into animals quite a lot, that is I like them more than I do or could like humans (go figure), have had many pets over the years unfortunately never a pet dog or a cat, though. usually just played around and spoiled / pampered cousin's pets and the like. I have had an aquariam so far (freshwater), pet birds and rabbits. Gave them all away to different people after my parrot died due to the bloody rabbits. That was years ago though, with me having bairly any experience. I was able to take care of them just fine, although the one thing I couldn't do or didn't have much success with was training them. My question is, what pets have you had or still do, and have you been able to train them to do anything? sinse training and the like requires studying body language, rewarding the right behaviour and eye contact or at least looking in the general direction of the animal so that they know you are giving them atention and not ignoring the poor sods . I.E my birds would respond to my cousin because it knew he was looking at it etc, where as me, not so much. same with almost every other animal for example to teach the birds to step up you have to keep a finger near their Abdomen and gently put pressure which then would instinctively make them step up on it, before they do step up, you have to say up or step up and or whatever the phrase maybe that you'd like the bird to associate with that particular excersise and reward it as soon as it steps up on the finger. which I imagine would be a tad bit difficult to do as a blind person not knowing where the bird is and the Abdomen is.  Its not just for birds though, I like to heare all kind of animal stories, and if you've had success with training bonding with any sort of animal, I would like to read about it for sure. Be it a rabbit, a dog or a cat. although in case of cats I heare its they who are the trainers and we the trainees Grryf

Rhythm Rage Level Creator Official Thread, (version 6!)

I have a message for Oriol Gomez, and then I will share the biggest features of version 6.Oriol if you are pissed at me for making this creator don't be pissed yet. Version 7 is going to be even worse. If you hate me for doing this now, you won't like me after version 7, so save your rage for v7. With that out of the way, let's continue.Version 6 has 5 main features.1. Integration. You now use the creator in your pack folder and it will detect all lvl and ogg files. This means multi level support!2. Custom sounds. Now you don't have to fill in the sound name fields like name=, ends= and fail=. You can choose sounds to automatically be written in for it.3. Tutorial creator. It isn't much, it isn't suppose to be. But it is a nice thing to have.4. Playback is now one file instead of two.5. The track position is used instead of a timer, making timing more accurate. Also, the delay between writing in playback and the level file is gone. No more delays.A few more things to say. The manual was rewritten, especially the setup section. So please read through the whole manual again. Also, I highly recommend reading the change log first, there is a link in the guide sections for it, and a link to return after done reading change log. I pretty much agree here. With Longshot, which really wasn't all that playable anyway being replaced with a career mode, TTS will be more important than ever.I'd like to play online as well, but defense is a bitch in any mode, let alone online.

So the month of April is coming to an end, and I can't say that I am happy at this moment.Usually, this month implies the end of final exams of a school year, but since now I am out of school I did expected some differences. but entire exams took this month away.I would just laze around, since it is hard to do anything demanding when the month of summer is starting, and I am sure you guise would know what I am talking about if I said infamous Indian temproture.But then I find out that two of my exams have been extended, finally ending up at the 30 April. fine, I can even take that. what is frustrating me however, is that I have to study a program, (Page maker, to be more presice.) which has been discontinued for more than 15 years.And not just study as in it's historical impact, study in how would you do this or that in this program, complete with instructions.A prime example of the stagnant curriculum.Then, I fined out in the news that some builders want to buy the entire range of forests, so they can build more buildings, and get the profit out of it. why can't these people realize what sort of distructive trend they are continuing?Then another thing about how some people in government decided to supply the water by using the underground water supply. I suspect in few years, the only thing which would be left is the baked clay. despite my criticisms, I like my country. why can't these people who call themselves in charge, take efficient decisions?Anyway, on to the more relaxing topics: haven't played any game for a while, and my hands are starting to itch for completing something. maybe mortal kombat x, since I completed the 2011. after that, BlazBlue chronophantasma... after that, we'll see.Also, I am thinking that once I am proficient in programming, I would try my hand in developing some games. that reminds me, my teacher for some reason hates python language. my theory is because it is easy to learn in comparason to the languages like c.

Okay, I thought I'd add to this topic with a few interesting discoveries. Firstly, Civ clicker has been updated.You can find the new version here http://deathraygames.com/play-online/civ-clicker/ As far as I can tell its accessible, plus it fixes the problem with gold that the original had. I\'ve not spent a lot of time with it, but its there for people to have a look. interestingly enough, deathray games, who seems to have taken over civ clicker,  have several games that look interesting including arcane elemnetalist, and an amusing time waster called cyclopse clicker. There is also a rather fun single player homage to LogD called legen of the green hydra, which isn't an idle game, but is an entirely accessible minimal text rpg for those who are interested. I haven't checked out all of there games (sadly exo bot the mining game, star hopper and several others seem to be %100 inaccessible), however people might  want  to have a look. I know this isn't coming out for a few months, but I have a few thoughts on this. Should mention that I'm not trying to bash EA here, just my opinions. I don't know if I'm picking this up unless there's more available. I've paid 59 dollars twice for like a quarter of actual game content. It can obviously be argued that you can use OCR, and while that's fair why should I have to OCR every five seconds to read anything on the screen? Mut is a huge example of this. I can do solo challenges, but when moving players around it's incredibly annoying and takes me forever. Same with franchise, in a different way. Gameplay wise I really only have two complaints. Playbooks and safe passing. I'll get to what I mean by that in a second. Firstly lets talk about playbooks. At the very least playtypes should be read out. I can memorize them fine, but randomly I'll mess up and choose the wrong play. The other option is again, OCRing but that brings down the play clock. You can say that I can turn that off, but I actually love the idea of being able to play online. If playbooks can't be made accessible, something to stop us from casually throwing into double coverage/know the layout of the players on the field (at the very least ours) would be nice. If you can honestly tell me that throwing into double coverage is not noticeable by a sighted player I'll take back my objections, but until that happens they stand. It makes playing online against anyone with skill nearly impossible. Those are my problems, really. If I purchase this, I want to have gotten every cent out of the 60 dollars I spent. Say what you will about fighting games, and they're not my favorite, but you can basically get your moneys worth. Anyone feel differently? The same? Happy to listen and discuss either way. Again, this wasn't meant as a bashing session. Just my thoughts on what I think needs changing and why.

Yeah maybe that was the CAD U37 I was thinking of.  And I personally have no problem buying refurb when I know it's a reputable company and the return policy/warranty is good, but maybe that's just me.

@Brad, if you just down arrow once from the button that says "chop" and changes to "chopping" when you click it, you'll be told how much time to max, and if you go through the level 6 headings you will be told about how full your storage is. Generally, once you've got a few trimps working on your behalf, those action buttons are only really needed if you get a turkimp which increases your production rate, your usually best off alternating between researching and building anyway. The game already has a good few spoken alerts, for example with the info buttons for all the buildings etc.I will say I'd like a line about tirkimp status in the summary, though again its easy enough to go through the level one headings and just hit up arrow when you get to trimps, and if you see a timer you have a tirkipm going, though its easy to miss if your not paying attention. Oh and yes, the game is horribly addictive, especially since you can both play  idly and more completely if you want. I've nearly finished zone 80, and will portal when it's done, though I still haven't exactly worked out what the optimum strategy is for warp stations or geneticists, still we'll see. I will probably try the trimp challenge next, given that I've just got a truck load of helium from this run so hopefully will have perked up enough for it to make a difference. I will say 60-70 wasn't as bad this time around, though post 72 or so things got tough pretty fast so there's still a ways to go.

Hello.I'm playing the screen reader version of this game and think it's good but to make it better I'd recommend using ARIA to alert the screen reader user of certain actions.For example: you click on chop wood and an alert comes up saying, alert chopping wood, 8 minutes remaining and, this would be awesome if it could be done, you'd press a hot key and could hear the time the timer has left.Yeah we can read that info but I think alerts would be nice.For those having CPU issues, I'd highly recommend trying Google Chrome.

I wonder if they kept the thing from MKX where if you play as revenant Liu Kang, he has like an entirely different voice bank during fights. Was a nice touch, I think. Hope they brought it back. I don't mind the new guy, not sure who it is, but I think I like Tom Choi's Kang a little more, at least for actual fights. Will have to wait to see dialogue though.

I can definitely recommend anniversary collection now, inparticular because they re-added in stereo support for the street fighter 3 series, so you can see a real evolution from sf1, to all the sf2 variations and how bad the stereo was in some of those games (seriously the fireball sounds sometimes go the wrong way) to the rather awesome alpha (alpha 1, 2 and 3) and then all the street fighter 3 variants.

yeah that shift thing is annoying as hell, I get why they do it so you can just start typing and its in the box. I even see practical uses, like if you have SLI over 3 monitors or something and moving your mouse across to the right one takes so much time or something. But for us, it's annoying and there's only so much we can do on our end to mitigate it.

Good set sightless! But two things...1. Why the hell does Liu-Kang sound like a cross between a demented child and a crow? That voice... ugh!2. The announcer, as in the last two games, sounds super sleepy and uninterested... I miss the MK 2 / 3 announcer. Hi,An incremental game primarily has the simple feature of something, well, increasing, and then upgrading.It's a bit more complex though.If you've played through A Dark Room, you might know about some of these complexities. If not, whether that's due to you not having an iPhone or some other reason, well, suffice it to say I don't want to spoil it here. What I can just say is that A Dark Room can only be experienced once in it's purest state: that is: do not read spoilers, go in, and come out the other side. Even if you were to replay, you would not get the same experience purely because your mind already knows how it works.Some other incremental games just work because they play out a premise to it's natural conclusion, or sometimes take it to crazy heights.I haven't done this yet, so I might as well put this here, but I had an idea for an incremental game in the style of clickpocalypse whereby it's about battling enemies mostly automaticly. It'd be great if this could work in audio where you could hear things. You'd start out with a sword or dagger or something and maybe some basic rats, perhaps the odd goblin. But then you'd rescue someone and that person might have a bow, and then could fire that bow at enemies, but that bowman might be slower than the sword swinging person but could hit further. Of course different enemies might start showing up. You might be in a forest with some animals. Or you might find a castle with orcs. Of course, this is fantasy, so you will probably eventually find a dragon. As you progress, you could upgrade things as you see fit: do you upgrade the damage of the sword person, or do you upgrade their hitting speed, do you upgrade the bow person's firing speed? Of course later on you might unlock a mage who can do spells and such. But do you? Or do you just have your two sword and bowman/archer double team, going on some adventure? Or do you try to gather an army who will make good at ridding the land of evil? Or heck, do you just go it alone, with an upgraded sword of damaging doom and health, ready to battle that dragon?There could have, even, a bit more going on. You might unlock towns which let you go on quests. What if you do a game prestige (a.k.a reset perhaps with perks depending on how far you got), and then if you are in a town's tavern, you can view past runs in the style of a sarga. The legends continue. You might end up, later on, perhaps after unlocking a few characters and battling your way through several locations, perhaps doing something crazy: finding a time machine. Now, do you continue looking for that dragon, or do you go for the time machine and change your goal entirely? Is it time to explore time? This is where incrementals come into their own. What started out as a simple fantasy adventure, has now changed. Imagine the line of text that, if a person didn't know what was coming, suddenly discovered. Now for us, if someone were to code this in, we'd know what's coming but we might not know, exactly, how. I'd love if someone went this far and coded something.Perhaps that time machine could let you find out about that world's lore a bit more in the past, but how would you get there? Do you use those crystals you found to help upgrade your weapons, or do you incert some of your crystals into the machine? But then perhaps it could go crazier: what if you could go back to the age of the dinosaurs, or forward to our time with modern weaponry and modern enemies, and perhaps, beyond, to the future and space travel, and then being able to jump back and fourth between those times? But what happens then? Where in the fantasy time you might find gold, perhaps in the dinosaur time you could find different loot. Maybe eggs? WHat would you do with those? In our time you might find dollars. Fuel, but could that fuel be used to power a car you just bought, or do you use it for a plane, or do you power that spaceship in the future? This is where complexity comes in, and this is the joy of incremental games. What started out as a fantasy adventure, could be a fantasy adventure as you could stay in your normal time of the game. Or, you could start to explore time. So, are you going through history? Are you going on an adventure with dinos? What happens if you end up going through time, and bringing a t-rex as a companion, and going to the zone where the dragon is? What happens then? What happens if you take the t-rex to the future and put it on a space ship? You might land on a planet where the inhabitants might be able to just penetrate the t-rex's rmour. But then, you'd just upgrade him and come back later. Or you'd find something else that could help you stop those inhabitants.Or you might not land on a planet at all. That space ship you found could be a whole new way to play. Time to just have a life among the stars. Blast some ships, or maybe just upgrade and trade with them. I've actually used the Windows Desktop application for almost a year now. I stopped using it for a while though and just reinstalled it recently, and the only thing that bugs me really is the fact that when keys are pressed, it automatically jumps to the message edit field. I've tried to look for an option to disable that, but nothing seemed to work out. Has anyone found a way around this? I don't use it for gaming at all, so I've never really looked into a lot of the features. For just text chatting on various servers and adding/messaging friends, it worked fine for me. (until recently) The IOS app is a headache to fumble through, but I've even used it for some time as well.

@Turtlepower, There is going to be a powerup called insecticide. When you get it, for 15 seconds if you get within 3 tiles of a cactus or bat or mosquito, it will spray them with insecticide and destroy them automaticly without you having to do anything. Maybe I will even make insecticide slow down trolls for a few seconds or something.

@28, oh God, I hope the robots wouldn't be as vicious as the ones in that micro game where you have to navigate the electrical maze while avoiding the bots, that game is hell and I never win it, lol. Although, speaking of which, electricity that you had to jump over might be another idea that could make this game even better. I was also thinking that maybe a powerup could be added which would allow you to hit the bats from on the ground, but that it would only last a few seconds. Alternatively, there could be arrows that you pick up and shoot them with which could be used for this purpose, but they should be an extremely rare item so that people can't abuse them. I like the challenge of the bats, but I also would like to get a break from them, especially when there's a whole cluster of them that appear at one time.

Once, I forgot my cane because I was in a hurry to leave my house. Since I lived in the dorm at the school for the blind I went to, that meant I would have gone a whole week without a cane. My O instructor ripped me a new asshole when I asked to borrow one, so I kept it out of spite. I still have that cane to this day, since I prefer graphite canes and that one is alluminum. the point of this story is that, for the totals at least, using a cane was pretty strictly enforced around the school. For those who had low vision, it wasn't though, illustrating one of the many double standards that exist in those places.

I think it locks you from jumping while you grab. That's the entire point, it's a risk versus reward type of thing. I did try a trick where I jumped up in the air then hit the grabber, but I fell. I thought it would lock me up in the air where I'd be impervious to most things, but it didn't work.

@102/107I was only providing the modes information since that's what the majority would likely want/need to know here.As for that guide, though it might take a while, I'll see what I can get done with assistance from various individuals.Discounting accessibility issues, gameplay feels solid (though the audio mix could be improved to allow better audibility of footsteps), I'd say they should just add an ambience slider in for all the background cues that are present.  The game certainly rewards patient strategy, though it does vary based on the strats the opponent's working with.see this ranked set for an exampleAgain, down 2's feel rather stubby in this game unless your opponent is right at the centre of your animation, though that could just be me not being used to the gameplay.  I'll be playing a set or two tomorrow I don't doubt, including an exhibition match or several so I don't doubt I'll learn some more as well.If you have any other gameplay questions though, I'll answer what I can.@113Unfortunately not at all given the app is mobile and currently at least has no accessible navigation methods, not counting the fact that to even get to the menu you have to get through the tutorial as well.

About dragon riding, they have something called a buck, which is like a mechanical contraption that stands in for the CGI dragon. Speaking of, (Season 8 spoilers beyond this point) Kit Harrington had a rather... unfortunate accident while filming season 8. Let's just say, he and Varys almost had something in common. Read more about it hereAnyway, for anyone who's actually caught up, what did you think of last night's episode? (It's already up on AudioVault audio described.) I thought it was awesome. Kind of a similar thing as 8x01, but way better. Brienne is a knight, Podrick can sing (how many other hidden talents does this guy have? A magic cock, sings like an angel, what's next?), Tormund is still the best ("That's why I'm so strong -- giant's milk"). So many great character moments these last two episodes. They're reminding us why we love all these characters to "prepare" us for the carnage that's about to follow. Speaking of, who do you think is going to die next week in the Battle of Winterfell? Or in general this season. My predictions: Tyrion, Varys, Davos, Melisandre, Grey Worm, Jaime, Theon, Beric Dondarion, possibly even another one of Dany's dragons. I could be wrong about a lot of these, obviously, but one thing's for certain. A lot of characters are going to die in the next episode. And I can't wait. These last four (!) episodes are going to be longer as well, approximately an hour and twenty minutes long, which is awesome. Can't believe it's all going to be over in just four weeks. At least we have the last two books to look forward to, sometime in the next hundred years.

Sorry for the double post, but I am still considering items.@2:If your using coordinates, you could pop items from the list that are picked up and put them into a separate "picked up" list...So you're suggesting to have a master list of items? A list from which we can remove items as the player collects them? How would we load it into the map? Will we have a smaller item list pertaining to the map itself and then pop items from both of them after a player picks up an object? Won't that cause more memory consumption? I just wana double check that I'm understanding this correctly.

Well, I'm guessing, people who got a copy pre release might be pros, but as well as regular players. So, if they planned this sort of well, they might get feedback from both tears and adjust where needed. As for towers of time, if that's all server side, at least the fighting / advantage and so on, but i'm guessing the assists and the likes would be game part. Also, they might have gotten a patch because the disc game wasn't up for the challenge yet, or was found inbalanced or what not... who knows... And yup, they're gonna send out a patch, as was to be expected, so we'll see where that goes. Anyone knows, if obtaining the code in the app is something managable?

When you run the application, other files are extracted to a temporary directory that you don't see right away, it may be these that are getting deleted. @redfox, is your traceback the same as freds?

I dono the exact syntax, but what I do know is this: They do a while loop.Here's what I'd do:1: Have a timer to bend pitch.2: Have a number that is either the lowest limit of the pitch or the maximum number of times I want the pitch to decrease.3: Write a while loop that checks if enough time has elapsed and if so subtract the pitch.4: Here's where it gets different. If I want my pitch to go to a certain low threshold I'd use an if statement within my while loop that checks the sound's pitch. If it's equal, the loop stops.However, if I were to use a variable that simply keeps track of what's been triggered, than I'd have to increase it until I reach the required number within the if statement that checks for the timer being greater than a given amount of time needed to decrease the pitch. Within my while loop, I'd check for the variable being equal to the number of times I want to trigger the decrease and if it is, the loop will stop.5: TLDR, use the first way, it's less messy.

Well, at least they're listening to feedback. I honestly wouldn't care about the towers so much if they didn't as far as we know lock brutalities until you actually get them like in MKX. If it's just patched to not be completely overwhelming for casual players in order to push them toward buying time crystals and/or skip fight tokens, I'll be satisfied.@criticviewThe thing is though, is that by the time all these complaints came in, they'd already gotten a patch. It wasn't just what came on the discs. And all of the tower stuff that's being talked about is literally all serverside, from what I'm reading they even said on the cast that there are changes going to be made to improve the situation that won't even require any downloaded patches. But like I said above... if it can actually become a mode that's legitimately challenging while actually being possible to beat, I'll have no complaints whatsoever and might actually think about playing.I do have to wonder though how this whole thing even got through the cracks to where they actually had to start addressing it before the game even officially launched...

I've piloted a drone, a microdrone, but it still is a drone, and my cat loved it. I thought for sure she'd tuck tail and run the other way, but nope, she watched it fly and when it got low enough she'd go into stalking mode, when it would land, she'd pounce on it and nibble on it.

Hi,I think there might already be a topic concerning this, but I can't find it, so I'm making a new one.This is for discussion of any aspect of Game of Thrones, from season 1 to season 8, from speculation, to comparisons, to analysis, from lore to terms, it's time for anything. Naturally, it is my belief that spoilers will be discussed, which is inevitable by the way, so please put a spoiler warning on parts of posts that require it. Also, feel free to help anyone who might be new to the series, get started. Here's how I did this, and also please excuse my spelling and please, someone come back with correct spellings for me if necessary, thank you.I got the first 7 seasons and ended up watching episode 1, and was still a bit confused about who's who. It wasn't until a few episodes in that I was able to find a way in, so to speak, and that was by following Deneres's story. What was interesting was once I was able to follow this arc, all the other character arcs started to slot in around it, and I could find more characters to like and hate. I haven't properly refreshed myself, but I've started to watch the new season.By the way I found one of season 3's arcs really dark, yikes. I think those who've seen it probably know which one I'm on about.spoilerspaceTheon. Yikes, those scenes are scary. I think from a behind the scenes standpoint though, the actors kind of had fun with it and made sure to make each other laugh after the scenes as they were all rather dark.I actually have a question though to those who might know, but does anyone have an idea as to how the actors get to quote unquote ride dragons? I know the dragons are cgi but how would they allow an actor to ride on set?

I did actually turn off the speech of mine before clicking, and I must say, bravo. hello there.so I like the game. its a good time waster. I only have one sudjestion. could you implement a game pause menue or something like that. its hard to assign points when your ebing swoarmed. also, when item grabbing, or enemie grabbing, could you make the item sounds a little shorter. its a little hard to jump when your item grabbing, other than that, loving the concept. its simple, but fun. makes it fun to rage for a bit, collect some stuff, and save for later play

@ironcross32... It's only in my opinion, but I think after a certain level when more item varieties become available, ammo cartridge spawns should be increased as a minimum.When I play the game for a long session, I always end up having long cases of me literally having no bullets for my projectile based weapons, and needing to use the likes of the knife to get me out of trouble. :d
