Clicking download links on archived sites does work. It really just depends on whether the Wayback Machine's crawler got the files or not, which can be hit or miss. I've seen some very well archived sites, where almost all download links work, and sites that have barely been archived at all.

Alter Aeon June 2019 Update

This month we will be conducting our big league summertime event, the Summer Solstice Celebration!  This will be the seventh such annual event.  It will begin on the day of the summer solstice, Friday, June 21st and end on the evening of July 4th.Like last year, the Puzzlewood Forest will return.  We will be presenting a solo version for players of all levels with endless experience level mobs, and a group version with wave after wave of mobs of increasing strength to challenge high level players, just like last year.  We'll also be lifting a couple of elements from the 2014 event and the 2016 event for the main story areas, namely the portal dispelling from the former and the point defense of the latter.  Players will be presented with instanced battleground zones, with specific missions to accomplish for each one.A special effort was made last month to balance the skills and spells of the various classes.  The goal is to even out the amount of practices necessary to gain the critical abilities of each class, giving each class roughly the same number and at regular intervals.  In particular, several abilities have been spread out quite a bit to prevent clumping at lower levels.  In keeping with this vein, there are no longer any critical abilities beyond level 30, only important, helpful and obscure ones.  The theory is that by level 30, your selection of primary class abilities will be heavily influenced by your choices of secondary and tertiary classes.In addition, some spells and skills that are outdated will be receiving improvements, such as 'cure blindness' and 'feint'.  So far, the mage, cleric, warrior, necromancer and druid classes have been updated, and the thief class is soon to follow.In June, we have a number of a code updates planned.  For example:- Druid called animals will eat food they are given. Hey everyone.I personally know it is a TK clone. Here is how you can tell.Logging in, says "Attempting to connect...", and takes the exact amount of time TK does to log in.A few of the well not so known commands were not removed, well maybe one of them but either way the wording is the same.Also the facing system, moving around the map etc is exactly the same with the same wording as TK.I will admit they probably amybe wrote a bit of code, but it is still based off of TK.Personally I think this is one of the better stupid clones and I enjoy playing it. I do enjoy the ideas and some of the new things added.

I made the comparison to the research because that’s kind of what it’s like. Just like somebody studies a topic, a developer spends a lot of time working on code. That involves the sound, establishing a development team, and all of the server and behind-the-scenes aspects of the game that we don’t see. So taking that and calling at your own is not OK. As stated, think about it this way. Let’s say that you and a few people decide that you want to make a new game. You sit down, you make sounds, and you start writing some code. Finally, the game is published. Then, somebody gets hacked or one of your developers decides to leak the code. All of a sudden, you start seeing all these clones of your game that you and your team spent countless hours on developing. It’s not right. If it were your game, how would you feel? This is why a lot of developers do not want to make or host some of these games anymore. You’d think after all the topics on the forum without cloning, people would get the message that it’s not OK. But apparently we haven’t because we still have to argue like little children about this. Now as of right now, I have nothing else to say. However, if somebody has something good to say, I might reply to you

My  personal opinion on this is that those things need their own section. Back when we had an audio reviews section, things didn't really pan out, but at least it didn't create dead links in the database. Of course, Youtube isn't likely to go down, but that owuld be a lot of individual entry editing. I'd prefer to have a section of the site for game reviews, walkthroughs, playthroughs etc. with links to youtube channels or audio files where appropriate.

I understand you paid for the game, which is why I want to release an update that actually has things like more game modes, which btw replaced the idea of minigames. I would record audio achievements but the microphone I currently have is very shitty and I really don't want to use it for that sort of stuff. My yeti microphone died around Febuary. I gotta go for now, but I will update later. So what do you guys want, an update with fixes and changes to the gameplay or do you want to wait for an update with more modes.

agree wholeheartedly with post 3. My interface is a true asio device (meaning the drivers you install and even the manual states that you will be using the asio protocol)no problems at all. Using asio4all for devices that do not employ it as a mediocre band aid solution will insert noise, delay things way more, and as you guessed it, make you lose speech altogether.You can actually use your screen reader through your asio device even when using the asio protocol, by using the regular dwm (I think they are called) drivers. Meaning, you can either route NVDA through it under the synth selection dialog, or set it as a default windows sound device using the control panel. Only minor downside is that speech will have a bit of stutter because remember, asio has the highest priority.

Honestly, I would just use the Audio Vault and not bother with Blind Mice unless you're looking for something that the Audio Vault doesn't have. For one, the links on the Audio Vault are Sendspace Pro links and will allow you to download far more quickly than Blind Mice. Also, if you're ever looking for TV shows, Blind Mice doesn't have them at all any more. Finally, the Audio Vault doesn't care where you're accessing the site from, so no VPN necessary.

h, yeah well, might just switch to nvda... Right now indeed, the only thing keeping me with jaws is that, well, I'm used to it. But I can see it's going nowhere so... As long as I learn how to use nvda's virtual focus, that is! Cause jaws' one was kinda useful in more than a situation, first of all as I mentioned above, the output screen in mushclient.

NVDA is the way to go unless you can either have someone pay for JAWS or you are willing to pirate it. Ahh. Nintendo would like you to believe emulators are illegal, but they're just going to have to let shit fly and get a taste of their own cartridges, wait did I just say that? Lol!If something were to happen, I believe the first people the legal department would be getting in contact with would be the CDN, Cloudflare in this case. The only probable reason they'd go straight for the motherload in cases like Youtube/Facebook is that they're nobody's customer, unlike a customer of a hosting provider who has terms of service to comply with, and in our case, a site with hundreds of links to dynamic content. If any legal communications were made, it would likely be between the hosting provider and their client, not direct contact with a law firm. Especially if we aren't knowingly a pirate-haven , because as Jayde said things such as legitimate software piracy and code theft need to be stomped out more harshly by now.

Emulators are completely legal. Like exodus said, it's the ROMs. And many users will still pirate the ROMs, in fact all users will pirate the ROMs, but if they're not included in the package with the accessibility fixes that makes the package itself legal. It would be a lot of hassle, but pca and messapple wouldn't have to go. Getting the right ROMs will be tricky and will require other sites hosting them, though.

Hi everyone. The thing about being hacked. You do not have to give information to anybody. And I am saying this from experience. Back in December, I was on my computer just going about my day. Talking on TeamTalk, playing some audio games, and there was a file that I was trying to delete. Unfortunately, whenever I would go back in that file location to check something else, the file was not deleted. I restarted the computer, and since then, my computer has wanted a bit locker key whenever I try to recover it. Unfortunately, I am on able to access the key no matter what I do. I have the password to the account, yes. However, the bit locker key is not there. So for five months, I have not had a Windows computer. And now the topic of cloned games.  In the past, I have played them. I  played CM and maybe one other one. Now, with the things I know now, if I had a Windows computer, I can promise you I would not play these games. If you want a game to call your own, great. But take the time to write it yourself. And just a question. Wasn’t constant battle made by the same developers of DM? If that is false that it was, please let me know so that I can be sure if it’s a clone or not

Tell you what, folks. I've given this a ton of thought, and this is how I personally feel. Note that I do not speak for the entirety of the staff team on this.1. We do have to get at least a little bit tighter/fiercer about certain piracy/code theft/hacking things. We've been historically pretty soft on that. I think that has to happen right away.2. Regarding legality of ROMs, it's tricky business, and Nintendo in particular has a bad track record here. I am a pokemon fan, or was, but that can't factor into any of my decisions. The unavoidable fact is that a lot of us have been screwing around in morally/legally gray areas for a long, long time.3. Richard and Sandor are, at the end of the day, the people who will be most answerable if something goes wrong. My leaning here is to say that our proposal is -probably what is going to happen, while also saying that Richard and Sandor's word kinda trumps everything. If they say to leave things alone, then we do that. If they say to lock things down, then we do that. Perhaps it is best, after all, if we let them make the choice. The only reason I am hesitant to do this is because, although it is extremely unlikely, if something bad happens between now and then, who's on the hook? Right now we're the ones presently administrating the website, so it's risky. Here's hoping nothing pops us, because so far nothing has.

@26, I'm not sure what your trying to convey here. An LC with a for loop is exactly the same as a normal for loop but more compact. You will get exactly the same results no matter how you do it.
