Thank you first for the detailed reply. That gives me orientation on wich is usable for good Music recording, I wasn't sure if the Olympus Recorders for example are good enough for that. I have Mixers here and surely, I could use an Computer as well but to be honest, I want the possibility of a seperate Hardware Recorder because if I make Music, i simply like to have no Computer in front of me all the time. I use it all day, so I realy like the Feeling of having other devices to make and record Music. Oh, cassettes I could use maybe, but no, i Thing sticks and SD-Cards do fit better in my workflow. As I am a Hobbyist, I'd like to record for myself at first, but with a good Quality so it can be shown if needed. But I think the Recorders you menssion should be able to record in a professional Quality as well.

Hi.Well it depends on the money you want and accessibility.All the olympus recorders the dm and ls series should be accessible for the most part.However being the top dog you will be paying for them.Atguys.com has the microspeak which may help you some to.If you want to be more mainstream, I have used soni px, and ux recorders.There are beeps for a lot of functions, back a track, forward a track, end of recording folder, start of recording folder, the play button is dotted and marked.On my px 335 the play button has a dot the recording button has a dimple in it and it is to that point accessible.But thats where it stops.They do not speak, you can't do anything in the menus.To clear the recorders fully you need to reformat each time after use.You can't switch folder and your filenames will always be z0 then a file number 00-0-0001 to 0099.mp3Then you can't record anymore.You will have to manually rename files.The modern software to handle the recordings is not accessible at all!Also if you do have a mixing board and things you are better suited to recording via a computer to be honest unless its a field recording.You can try if you want to use your phone to record your stuff but again its not going to sound that flash.Still artests like tayler swift have recorded demos of tracks either outputting via laptop speakers and or a phone, so it can be done.Its probably better to link up via a workstation or computer and record your synths or via a dedicated machine.But it depends what you want to use to record.Is this for yourself, for release or just for the sheer heck of doing so.If its just for the reason because its there and well why the fuck not, if you can get them, I'd start with a casette recorder and casettes.This was how I started recording back in the early 90s.Now, carrying round a walkman in extreme heat on the rist with the fact even on 60 minute tapes liable to jam at the drop of the hat with batteries that could drop out due to loose covers were not ideal but one of my first australian trips was recorded via an analog tape deck.My first machine in 2000 was a soni icd sx 35.The software was accessible but didn't work on anything over xp.The sx used its own format, and everything was fine till the 45 sx, the sx was fully accessible with switches, rockers, buttons and toggles.Even the delete button was recessed.Its downside was it recorded poor audio with really bad sounding digital wma type signals.It had 32mb memmory and in extreme heat it was liable to overheat to the point it didn't record much at all!It used a special format needing decoding.After 2 australian trips one in 2004 and the other in 12005 the unit overheated, and basically refused to record or work at all eventually ending with the batteries melting in the case.By then though I was seriously thinking of replacing it.My next recorder was the ux 60, a flatter version of the sx with toggles, a control stick, and widely spaced microphones.It did not overheat in extreme heat, however even though it was 500mb of space, the unit had no usb cord and needed to be directly plugged into the pc or an extention.Recording was ok.The latest unit I got in 2014 is the px335, I got it so I didn't have to connect it to the computer all the time.It has served me well enough.My next recorder if I ever upgrade will probably be a microspeak mainly because of price.After that, if it warrents it an olympus dm series or maybe zoon not sure.

@8 of course do I know about C++ vectors, thats why i'd suggest to look into lists. Other than that Python doesn't support typed datatypes, thats almost exactly the same. Yeah, there are behind the scenes differences like Python lists actually being associated lists and thus not continuous blocks of memory like vectors are, but if you really want a single block of memory to hold pointers to your objects, like you're probably doing things in C++, than you still can take a look into arrays in Python, but they are more trouble than its worth for your use case.

ok i'm an idiot but we live and learn. all working fine now, no bios tweeking needed. just installed windows 10 on it and will spend the next few days yelling and getting annoyed while I reinstall everything and remember all my passwords but man is it running fast. read speed on this drive is 2200 and write is 2000, don't think i'm getting quite that but it's still way faster than my sata3 Kingston hyperX which ran at about 550 read I think. i'd swear the specs said 570 by 530 but anyway nice drive. @6 you rock. you described how to find the port and how to install it brilliantly.now if anybody wants to giggle at why i'm an idiot? read on and possibly good advice in here for anybody fitting one of these that's never done it before:so to start with, I was being impatient, never a good start. got annoyed that I couldn't get my hands in where I needed too, ended up pulling out the rear fan connector to help me get access to the screw you use to lock down the m.2 card, still couldn't get at it then after getting annoyed with how big my cooling system is figured the simple solution I should have thought of to start with was to take the video card out to give me some room. good move rite? ok so here's idiot move number 2:I should point out I was sober when I did this but it's the kind of stupid thing i'd have done when I was drunk. I investigated again, found the screw I needed to take out and out it came. fitted the card, put the screw in to lock it down, replaced the fan connector and fitted the video card. all good you'd think, but it didn't seem rite to me. and I was rite. computer pitched a fit when I booted it up and the video card wouldn't run. when I managed to get it to boot from my old drive it was acting crazy and lots of static on my sound card. I got annoyed again then after a few cigarettes and a beer I thought about it a bit and went back and had a look. I wondered this at the time but figured it was just the way it works. the screw I took out seemed rather too long and left the card at an angle. when I took it out again, my huntch was correct. bloody thing had a small screw at the top which was the one I was meant to take out and use to lock it down. so in short, i'd locked the thing down with it's tip against the motherboard making a nice metal contact. i'm amazed I didn't blow the hole board. but once I sorted that out, everything worked properly. so in short, don't be an impatient idiot and take time to work out what you're doing. again, thanks to @6 for the advice. i'd have never found where to plug it in without that advice.

At the risk of being accused of Clintonism, I guess it depends on what you mean by "build." I've definitely built a few custom PCs 15 years ago, so it was possible then. My current PC is a mini-ITX build the size of a large shoebox, so I was hesitant to build that myself primarily because I was aiming for small form factor and high-power parts. So I didn't *personally* do the build, because there were lots of small parts in a compact space, along with applying thermal paste and such which I really wanted sighted help for. But in terms of picking out compatible parts for a build, pcpartpicker.com was sufficient to help me pick parts that I could hand off to a local PC shop to assemble while knowing that they'd be compatible.So, in terms of picking compatible parts, we can definitely build PCs. And if we're working with larger form factors, or familiar enough with the parts, I see no reason why we couldn't build mostly on our own. But for my part, I'll probably pick my own parts and pay a shop to assemble them going forward.

Standard should really be immune to ghost. Really wish I'd caught this on a first or second pass. Would give more of a reason to use standard types. This, of course, would render Fearless absolutely poineless on ghost Lonar, but oh well.I believe Trumer can have either Poisonous Essence or Acid Eye (which sounds cool but really only boosts damage during acid rain, which you'd think would be happening anyway). Plant types getting more speed in the sun means there may be a reason for a plant type to use Sunshine Song or a way for them to benefit from it. Some plant manamon have abilities which use the sun, but why would you deliberately subject yourself to hostile conditions without significant benefits? I was originally going to say that all plant types gained +50% speed, but that might be too much. Give that to a Fowlusion or something and it might just sweep. Only Flame Blizzard gets the accuracy buff because A) most flame moves are accurate anyway and B) flame types are already getting shielded by their weather condition by taking less damage from a type they don't like (water); they don't need even further benefits on top of that by buffing all of their moves.2. Water doesn't fear flame anyway, but it does fear plant; having Downpour suppress plant attacks a little bit might help them out. As a drawback, though, electric attacks don't miss, so you have to watch. Wavotamus would love this. Frorgeril too. But many water manamon will have to play carefully. Still, I see it as a step up from where we're at, and also, it helps the idea of a water-electric core.3. Snowstorm does damage if you aren't an ice type, so that's cool. Lowering flame damage is helpful, raising ice damage is crucial. 'nuff said.4. A lot of earth and stone types don't have the best special defense, so letting the weather shore that up a little might help. I originally had it so that steel types also got the special defense benefit from this, and I don't think that would wreck the game. Steel types don't really need extra boosted damage on their attacks in a sandstorm though.5. Acid rain...again, damage if you're not poison. That's cool. But poison gets shafted a lot here. Giving all poison moves a chance to poison or scorch just makes thematic sense. Slightly lowering magic and earth damage also makes sense to a point (earth is being corroded, and it's arguably difficult to cast magic if you're being constantly spattered with acid). I don't mean a huge drop in that sort of damage, either, like 10-15% or so. The point is, we want to give poison types a very good reason to summon rain.This would actually justify moveslots for weather. As it stands right now, it's possible to summon weather, get off a little chip damage but generally waste it otherwise. I feel like my suggestions, some of which may or may not be in already given how weather is explained, would definitely help the meta slow down and become more than just attack-attack-attack.

You can improve whichever skill interests you.You aren't stuck with one weapon.Whittling a wooden sword will help you improve woodworking, and then you'll have a practice sword if you ever want to sparr with somebody.But you can use the metal one for sure if you want to hunt that way in the meantime.It really depends on how you envision your character, and what you want them to grow into, but kind of like in real life, you'll develop a lot of different skills along the way to whatever the end goal is.

Standard should really be immune to ghost. Really wish I'd caught this on a first or second pass. Would give more of a reason to use standard types. You can buy things from shops, and if you keep studying you will improve at literacy.You can also run your own shop if you earn enough gold to do that.You can post on boards, in character, like if you are looking for a carpenter to build a home for you, etc.I don't spend a lot of time in towns, so I don't know much you can do there.They're good for RP too though.

I didn't even know the flee thing was an ability that line got.But yes, it appears that alternate abilities are a luck thing. Would be nice, though, if there was an item which guaranteed that you passed on an ability to your offspring. If you wanted Holiness on your Myaneko and not Benediction, for instance (Benediction on Myaneko is sort of like auto-blizzard on Fowlusion). I really, really wanted Steadfast on my Cerberat, and was lucky enough to get it. Antivirus simply makes you immune to death plague, while Steadfast means you won't ever recoil; I'll take the second, no questions asked, every time. And if the only alternative for Chimerus is Birdbrain, I'll take that any day over the guaranteed flee thing.Funny though. You'd expect that ability maybe on weaker manamon like Wormer, Frollop, maybe even Squirmunk, not on a great hulking chimera beast.

What are these different abilities? How do you choose between them? Do you have to catch or breed something until it gets the ability you want from among the two possible choices? Am I way off? Is there a way I can trade the fleeing ability for whatever birdbrain is? Because I'm almost certain it would prove more useful than guaranteed fleeing, which you pretty much already get if you're faster than whatever you're fleeing from.

I have been using the command line version of transmit. You can get it from homebrew.$ brew install transmittransmission-remote and transmission-daemon are the commands used to interact with the services. Took me a while to figure that out so hope it helps.

Lol crazy party's mechanics are not wholey original. Many of the minigames borrow mechanics from Mario party, and the card types are heavily inspired by pokemon. Still, it isn't trying to make money and it has enough of it's own content.Also, one could argue that manamon borrows heavily from the concept of pokemon, and that's still around, so sure, a crazy cart game would be nice if it cam be done. I have yet to play an audio 3d racer with pitfalls and shortcuts and items and kart combat.

In fact that is exactly how you make sounds your own. As long as an original sound can't be fully reproduced from your work, you're fine in that respect. I.e. making ringtones out of production music is a no go, but mixing and mashing an atmosphere/ambiance/spell sequence? Now we're getting somewhere. That's why you'll notice that even TDV's assets were licensable under gpl.

My new view about spoken menus in mainstream games

Hello all. So if you have been on this forum, you have seen games like Crackdown 3 and Division 2 getting spoken menus. I used to think this was what made a game worth money, but that's not the case. Is it bad that they add this feature? Not at all. It's a step in the right direction, and it's honestly the best thing they can do. It's good to see that devs aren't just jumping at accessibility and are taking the little baby steps to begin to understand how it works, and eventually, we may get more than spoken menus. Although spoken menus are good, they're not everything

Some Japanese wiki says the stat checker stuff ranges between either 0 and 40 or 1 and 40, forget what the lower limit was. Not sure how they got their information, or what the formula is for how they determine stats, but if it's like Pokemon then each point would be worth one stat point at level 100.You get 500 training points by level 100, and at level 100, 4 TP = 1 stat point. The unusual part of it is that it always rounds up. So 237 TP will get you the maximum boost of 60. If you max 2 stats, that leaves you with 26 spare points. Thanks to rounding up goodness, 25 can go into a third stat for 7 stat points, and the last lonely TP can go into a fourth stat to give it a 1-point boost.Pretty sure nobody but the coders know base stats.

@158, again, that may be how the game presents coordinates to scripts. I don't know how the game works. However... just because many games use the same coordinate system does in no way mean that it is geometrically correct. A graph uses right-handed coordinate systems, if I'm not mistaken. It may be the other way round, though.

First off, I should say, that I am not visually impaired, just a fan of text-based games, so the interface and everything might not be totally optimal for you (but I'm willing to work on it and fix that if I can).First, the most common comment: Saving the game! As some have speculated, saving is a function of the prestige mechanism. When you prestige by eating a Humble Pie, you'll save all of the prestige bonuses that you've acquired through eating the other prestige foods (Toughen Muffin, Pricey Spice, Breezy Cheese, Funny Hunny, Dandy Candy and Vitali-Tea). Once you prestige, you'll start the game over, with some bonuses. You'll start with bonus xp equal to the amount of gems you've acquired, and increased stats based on the bonus foods you've eaten. You'll get bonus HP equal to the number of times you've prestiged, and you'll start on an advanced scene based on how far you've gotten so you don't have to slog through the early parts again, wasting food/potions on low level stuff.The other progression mechanism is heirloom gear. When you open a chest, you'll get a piece of heirloom gear. This saves automatically when you get it, so when you start a new game you'll start with that gear. It levels up with you, up to its maximum level, but it doesn't have any elemental bonuses, so you'll end up replacing it while adventuring. Nah, that has the opposite effect on me, particularly when I can plainly see from the title that the help they require is not urgent at all. Also, I've seen this kind of thing much more frequently on email lists/forums where the asker's first language is not English, and it's rather obvious that isn't so. I don't know if urgent translates differently in certain languages, but it's sort of like how some people will say they have a doubt about something rather than a problem or question, which throws native English speakers off until they get used to it.

Until the Government actually starts upping their security game on social security/birth records, which they sure as hell aren't going to do considering the current Government's dim view on encryption. The current one is still leaving Snowden stuck at an airport in Russia with their attitude towards him even though his leaks, though they were classified material, were for the good of the country. You just can't put technologically ignorant yee-haw hunnies in charge without leading to disaster. I.e the kind that say internet filtering/lack of net neutrality is a good thing, and the like.

As for the original point of this topic, there's a solution to your search problem. Go to a bar and talk to people about the things you're interested in. That search thing on Facebook, and to be quite honest most of your posts, come out as being very stockerish. Well, for those who take part in it, thanksgiving is coming up. Despite me being an American, I choose not to make any thing out of it because of it's history. Pluss, I hate turkey. Good thing I'm having pozole for dinner instead. Enough thanksgiving bashing for the moment. In honor of native american haritage month, I am reading books by native american writers.  Code talker by Chester Nez, the only autobiography by one of the original  World War II Navajo code talkers, and there there by Tommy Orange. This one is interesting, and  too complex for me to really some up here.  The book summary could do it better than I can.  Funnily enough, it also brings up the  brutal genocide filled  history of Thanksgiving.  The other moment passed., As soon as Halloween had passed, I saw people immediately start getting ready for Christmas, almost 2 months early. I love  Christmas, but sometimes I feel that’s a little overkill.  Although, it’s less than a month away now.

Things are a bit stagnant for me right now, and this forum serves as filler because I can't seem to find anything else to do. One thing to note is that unless it was absolutely unanimous, there wouldn't be a ban. All of the bans that have happened lately have been decided, with a resounding yes, by all of us. When Crazy Party got discussed, me, Liam, Dark and Pitermach all were against the idea of that game being banned. Yes, the discussion even involved the other staff writers and db editors, it made ripples.Speaking on a personal level, I'd love a kart racing-style game.
