Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

There is very good reason for under-reporting as far as deaths go, and I wouldn't dispute that. However, there would be just as good a reason to do the opposite if it suited a political agenda. I doubt it very greatly that this woman you spoke of could have infected that many people on her own. I mean, who knows, maybe she wasn't keeping herself as clean as she should have. Maybe those other people that had been infected had it before they ever showed up where this happened. There's just no way to know now. There are just too many conflicting piles of information out there, which is why I do not trust these so-called experts because they keep contradicting themselves all the time. As I've expressed before, I'm very sorry for anyone who has lost loved ones, friends, or who might have fallen ill because of this thing. However, I am not going to allow my freedoms as an American to be trampled upon just to make some people feel a false sense of protection as that's just what those masks are. Even Anthony Fauci has admitted that the masks are more about virtue signaling and control then they are about protection. So no, I'll not be joining the masked brigade any time soon. As I've expressed before, if folks want to wear them, then fine, no problem. However. don't feed me this tripe about "my mask protects you, and your mask protects me". It is proven to be utter nonsense, and I do not go along with something that has been proven to be false for any reason whatsoever.

Re: Quorum Studio 2.0 - Accessible Scene Editing

Hey folks, Lots of great questions and I'll try to answer them all as best as I can:1. Drunk uncle:Drunk uncles are awesome. I have some stories ...2. Download link:Quorum Studio 2.0, with these features, comes out a week from today on Friday, so you can't get it quite yet. I think there are 3 more bugs we have to squash in the bug tracker. The beta has been going great so far, though. I'll post again when it's live.3. Cost:Yup, it's free. We are funded by the National Science Foundation and have worked hard to make something solid available to the community at no cost. For the login link, you have to login because we report anonymous unique users to the NSF, but that's all. There's no cost or anything. 4. Network supportYes, we have network support. Here's a tutorial:https://quorumlanguage.com/tutorials/ne … rview.htmlNormally, the way I use our network support is to bounce HTTP requests off of a server and do JSON parsing to coordinate. We do this on a different project to add blind accessibility for robotic telescopes (The IDATA project). We use it in games too though.  The JSON parser is here: https://quorumlanguage.com/tutorials/data/overview.html They don't do everything I want, but they do a heck of a lot already.5. How limited is it?Quorum has a ton of stuff nowadays, but doesn't have everything I want. We don't expose custom shaders in the engine, although we're working on that. Our 3D animation pipeline is also not great. But, we have a nice physics system built in, an accessible user interface layer, tons and tons of graphics and audio features, and I can't think of another gaming architecture that has accessibility built in as a first class citizen. So for example, a 3D model can be given the focus and it goes straight down to the screen reader like anything else --- crucially --- only if you want it to. Even Quorum Studio itself is actually just a game where we've tricked OpenGL magically to be accessible. So, I have a wish list of stuff I want built for it, but it does a lot already.6. Do you have HRTF?Yes we have that. We also have a custom sound synthesis engine, which can be routed around however you want for custom UGens and stuff if that's your thing. We also have 3D spatialized audio, which works pretty well with complex sound setups and like you said makes it easy to map models to sounds and move them around in a 3D soundscape. Here's the tutorial sequence on how to do all that: https://quorumlanguage.com/tutorials/ds … intro.html7. AccessibilityThanks for the kind words on that! We've worked really hard to make it accessible. For the editor, we've made a number of improvements on the accessibility front this release. For example, you can bounce around between Git annotations for file diffing version controlled project on Github or Bitbucket. We've also improved code completion, made some small improvements to our smart navigation. I also added in a feature to give you summary information in components. So basically, you hit a key and it tries to give you good accessibility information about where you are and stuff like that. One of these is a summarizer in the source code and another is a "where am I" key basically. I don't know if people will like those features yet, but we're experimenting and giving some ideas a shot. My hope is it will give better "context" about where you are in the editor, but give it a shot when it comes out and feel free to provide feedback. Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm super excited for this technology to finally come out and to show it off at EPIQ!Stefik

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Ok, so that is a pile of garbage. Noone has any gain from causing fear in anyone. But here is an example why  people  might underreport. It really isn't any secret Turkey is underreporting  their death and case count, massively so. The consistancy, and surgical preciseness and orginization of the numbers makes that blatently obvious. Now what that did cause? People flouting social distancing, ditching masks, large gatherings, dancing in large crowds, justification to lift all coronavirus regulations, open up the country internationally. I even saw some idiot post on my old college's facebook group, how sad they were not to have an in person graduaation, and now that everything was normal, how much they wanted to whole a full on graduation, with tens of thousands of people.   As for not being sick with coronavirus, you can be sick, and spread it to others, and kill them. Example, a woman who didn't disclose her trip to china infected 71 people from an elevator ride, the two people in the elevator, one want to a party, infecting those there, and the other visited their family member who had a stroke, infectingg them, and the people in the hospital, which caused the stroke patient to also infect people at the second facility they were transfered to. This is why masks are important. Just  because  they don't garantee to prevent virus infection is by no means a justification for not wearing them. Take seatbelts for example. Seatbelts massively reduce your chance of dieing of a car crash, by preventing you from easily flying out a window. But they don't garantee you won't die, but just because they don't, doesn't justify not wearing one.  The same is true for masks. They have been shown to reduce your chances of getting a virus  infection.Jayde, as for Sars, and Mers, the reason they didn't infect thousands, had more to do with their poor transmition rate and survivability, rather than herd emunity.

Maybe one might consider trading in manamon that are leveled up and equipped to start the game is kind of cheesing it a bit, but cheating hundreds of levels for them is just dumb. I just hate getting stuck in a loop of healing and straining at the leash waiting for a chance to be able to use attacking moves and not just die the next round. Thus the grinding so I can have a little bit of wiggle room in the later game. I'll also save and reload at tamers if I'm leading with the wrong thing. I hate taking damage I don't have to take. You limit the damage you take, you limit the number of healing items you need, and it's a beautiful thing.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Enes, there certainly is incentive for inflating the death numbers, and it's called fear. However, the interesting thing is if you look at the stories in the media, they only look at rising cases and not at the low number of deaths or hospitalizations. This is why I tried to bring up that example earlier. Most of the people hwo have these cases aren't even going to get sick from it, and those that do will recover quickly. So, since they can't be bothered to look at the deaths or hospitalizations as they wouldn't fit the narrative, they harp to us on how many more new cases we have so people will be convinced that these regulations actually work. Let me ask this of all of you. If these masks work, then why are we not allowed to visit loved ones or friends in our hospitals and nursing homes, even when wearing the stupid things? Either they work or they don't, and I am tired of the double-standard I am seeing. Next thing you know, everyone's going to go into panic mode when someone even just gets a cold this coming year. I mean, come on people. Let's get real with this, and get back to our lives if we can.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Jade, those numbers were just for one state, Pennsylvania. I said that in my post, and it was there for all to see. Therefore, your making a big thing out of my numbers being wrong, or as it seemed that is what you were going for, had no foundation whatsoever. As for your other question, when I get a paycheck I know where that's coming from. So, you once again have compared apples to oranges. If you want to live under socialism, then go ahead, go along with it, I don't care if that's what you really want. And yes, this is a left Vs right issue because it is primarily leftists who are pushing this garbage. I am done with the regulations. If people want to wear these masks then by all means go ahead and do it. However, people who want to do this have absolutely no right forcing me to do it. I won't do it based on medical reasons anyway. I already have no sense of sight, and will absolutely have no part in giving up another sense just to make someone feel better. I am also not keen on taking my own CO2 for the entire time I am trying to take care of day to day affairs. Again, if that's what you want, then do it. However, the first person, especially if they are sighted, that tells me to put on a mask, is going to be asked to wear a blindfold so I'll feel better then. I'll bet you that person wouldn't do it, and I would hope they wouldn't. So, again if you want to live in fear, then do it. I'm done with that, and I'm going to go about getting back what the fear of others has taken from me. Good luck with your chosen path. If America should get a socialist style government, then I hope it likes what it gets because the entire country will be in for one giant "I told you so" when push comes to shove.

Re: bgt mirror is back

2020-07-03 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Developers room : bgt lover via Audiogames-reflector

Re: bgt mirror is back

@46. Well, there are alot of bgt limitations, some more obvious than others, but all valid nevertheless. I won't list all of them here, they are, I believe, all covered in some part of a post from a topic or another anyway. Instead, I'll list the ones I've hit my self or herd about people hitting across bgt's history, as to not clutter this post with too many uselessly spent words. The most important limitation of them all is the mediocre support for calling dlls. I'd say, if you can't get basic dll things right, then why bother releasing it?for one, it can't create, pass or in anyway modify what C calls structs. For that thing alone, almost 97% of C interfaces out there would need to first be wrapped in other dlls that manage the structs for the stupid bgt to make sense of them.for example, let's say you have this declaration in a file called something like capy.htypedef struct{float x;float y;float z;double angle;} rotate_vector_2d;and you have something like this:bool do_objects_collide(struct rotate_vector_2d *first, struct rotate_vector_2d *second);...and so on...This is a very simple C API, I get it and I get that structs are maybe not the most shini thing in this situation, but bare with me for this example.Bgt doesn't support creating and managing C stile structs like, for example, autoit, or any other language with dll support does, so, you'd need to create yet another dll to wrap it up. Let's say, now you created a dll that, by whatever means you want, knows how to reference the header file with that other function and struct declaration. In the wrap_capi.c, you'd have something like this:#include#includerotate_vector_2d* vector_new(float x, float y, float z, double angle){rotate_vector_2d *vec;vec->x=x;vec->y=y;vec->z=z;vec ->angle=angle;return vec;}//and because dlls don't know about program scope, we need to implement this as well, I think. Even if not, this is a good approach to follow if the struct is something heavy and memory consuming, like a file, image, socket, physics related things like solid bodies, etc.bool vector_free(struct rotate_2d_vector *vec){return free(vec);}and keep in mind you'd need to do something like this, perhaps minus the freeing function,every...fucking...time...you need to expose structs to bgt. Now, remember I said this trick only works for somewhat simple C API's with relatively flat and simple structs like I've shown you. But now, try to imagine you have something like this:typedef struct{float radius;point center; //assume we defined the point struct earlyer in this file or in some other included file}circle;typedef struct{engine_type type;int hp;circle wheels[4];} car;imagine trying to wrap that monstrosity, can you do it like I did the previous example? now, really think about that, OK?now, another thing you might find frustrating about bgt is that it doesn't support passing of function callbacks, again, unlike practically any language with dll capabilities. To be honest, I'm not going to explain what callbacks are in this post, suffice it to say, this is the only way for native dlls to pass events to their calling application, practically notifying them that something beyond their codespace happened. To better understand this, I'll provide, yet again, a short code example.typedef void callback_func(void *userdata);//couldn't figure out anything better for a more interesting/illustrative params list, sorry.void do_something_with_callbacks(callback_func *fnc, void *userdata){while(whatever){if(something_happened)fnc(userdata);}}well, if you'd need to access a function that requires callbacks like the one above, you'd be stuck in bgt, while with python or almost anything else really, you're not.At this point, you might ask, why the hell did you need to read through all that, including the C code? well, to be honest again, the C code wasn't really necessary, but I put it in to illustrate what I say with examples, I'm not really good with explanations, so this is as good a way of communicating as any other. But even the C code, you didn't read pointlessly, everything ties up together in a moment. In fact, those limitations of dll calling in bgt are, practically, for anyone really wanting to use such an outdated technology anyway, the only reason for which bgt didn't evolve any further. Without callbacks and structs, absolutely most of C interfaces are horibly hard to make compatible. Without compatible interfaces, we don't have libs. Without libs, we will never have plugins. And that's the gravest mistake of bgt, nowadays, it's practically a closed sandbox. All other limitations can be solved, if not elegantly, then at least decently, if those above didn't exist.the following is a very short and minimalistic list of the most important limitations of bgt, as requested.no json support, including serialisation and deserialisationno xml support, including serialisation and deserialisationcan't use rest or sope API's/web services directly fr

Re: Help me with a little Manamon 2 Fun

Agreed, Derekedit. Currently just hit Requia and am about to get into barren underground, and my team is 47-50. That's actually a little high for me, but I haven't been grinding excessively, and I'm going to have fits with at least one of the stadiums coming up after Requia. I won't be fighting wild encounters anymore because most of my team wrecks most of what's in Requia's various areas, and I don't want to be, like, level 60 before I hit final protocol. I prefer some strategy in my strategy games, honestly. Also, if and when I ever get around to working on my own RPG, I have decided that I'm going to do everything I can, within reason, to prevent cheating. I'll have to talk to some folks, if it comes to that point, to see what I can do. If you can have all your stats and levels maxed whenever you feel like it, or can have an enormous amount of items or gold, you're not playing the game the way it was intended to be played, and if I can stop you from breaking it, by god I will. I intend to work very hard on game balance, reasonable difficulty, ease of access, the whole package, to ensure that the game's difficulty curve is gentle enough that you won't find yourself getting trashed unreasonably by bad RNG really early in the game and such. When you win a tough boss battle, I want it to be because you worked out how to do it, and had the legitimate tools, not because you brute-forced it. I mean, technically, you can probably over-level and that might do it, but I've also considered scaling exp, so you get less exp from stuff as you get stronger, meaning it's a matter of diminishing returns eventually.Incidentally, I'm a big chess player, and I think we desperately need more actual strategy games. I can't count how many times even good tamers, like stadium leaders and bosses, have had terrible AI. They'll hit me with a super-effective move, then switch for no reason to a move that does no damage at all. Or they'll have a move that will hit me hard, and just choose never to use it. AI in the manamon series is really quite basic, and it shows. I mean, it's not as bad as pokemon's gen 1 AI, where Blaine regularly uses super-potions on full-health pokemon and stuff...but yeah, it's fairly bad. Also also? I have a Dark Shroud on Snowmonno, and its new favourite meal is Vishthaugh, which should by all rights kill it in one hit. But because Vishthaugh's only moves are holy...epic fail, guy.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

There is probably some massaging of numbers going on in both directions. Now, as to how great a difference either type makes, I'm not a hundred percent sure. Some states and countries may be too quick to report a death as Covid when it cannot be demonstrably proven, though as I've reported in a prior post, the actual amount to which this has been done seems to vary wildly from theorist to theorist, and the severity usually coincides directly to how far along the left-right axis you tend to identify.  Generally, the further right you are, the more stock you put in the inflation of death statistics, because it supports the narrative that leftists are freaking out and trying to use it as a tool of control. We've seen evidence of that mentality right here in this thread, and not so very long ago, either. Extensive research on my part seems to indicate that while this practice has occurred at times, it has probably not resulted in a statistically significant increase in the death total. As such, it is not relevant, and it does not change how we should be dealing with the virus. Whether, for instance, there are 127000 dead or 125600 dead, that's still a pretty significant number. On the other hand, there are probably a lot of people who have died of Covid where it was never reported, and given the research I've done, it's apparent that in some places, suppression of numbers was definitely involved. My understanding is that the falsely low numbers might not be terribly significant either, but they are probably well in excess of the inflated numbers claimed by others. For instance, I would suspect that if the CDC says that the United States has had a hundred and twenty-eight thousand deaths, we're not looking at, say, four hundred thousand instead. But it's important to remember, for any of you who want to pretend that this isn't as bad as it looks, that for every person who claims that Covid numbers have been inflated, there are three or more saying that the estimates are actually quite low, all things considered, due to underreporting, inadequate testing and deliberate desire to minimize the damage. I'm sorry, but facts don't lie. The Trump administration - namely, the man himself - tried extremely hard to pretend that this virus wasn't a big deal, right up until it became impossible. More recently, he has tried making the claim that Covid-19 is under control in America; I wonder what folks in Arizona think of that? So it stands to reason, then, that lack of preparation and deliberate resistance to the measures necessary to contain the pandemic, as well as an unwillingness to take action or make statements tantamount to conceding that the virus is, in fact, a bigger deal than you first claimed...yeah, it's a pretty grim picture IMO.I'll put this baldly. Folks who have tried to politicize this virus have cost lives. The virus doesn't care who you are or what you believe. If you present as an infection vector, and you get sick, you might die. And if you take action - or fail to take action - which increases your risk of infection, and you do so on political grounds, then you are, in essence, weaponizing this pandemic for your own agenda.Regarding physical distancing, mask-wearing, my stance on it is that it's better to be safe than sorry, but I'm also not going to shame folks for not doing absolutely every single tiny thing they can possibly do. For instance, I know people who are attending small gatherings from time to time, usually with friends and usually either outdoors or with easy access to the outdoors. I've done this myself a couple of times, and given that numbers in Canada largely seem to be coming under control, I think this is reasonable. If stuff starts going badly again, maybe we have to scale back, but for now, tentatively I'd say it's okay to reopen things slowly and in a controlled manner. If you're going to be in public, particularly in places like stores, I do suggest you wear a mask, as annoying as that is. Also, let's not forget herd immunity, which is something we will end up experiencing eventually. Know why SARS isn't killing hundreds of thousands every year, even though we weren't wearing masks? Because we got resistant to it. The same will eventually happen with Covid, even if a straight-up vaccine is never entirely effective in treating it. Masks, physical distancing and all the rest is absolutely not a permanent state of affairs.

I can't see how reducing it down to a game of beep would be a lot of fun. I try to have more than what is necessary, because the reverse isn't a lot of fun either. If I can help it, I try not to be the guy who has to use 100 healing herbs and revive my entire team several times over with each fight with every tamer. That's surely epic, but it's boring. On the other hand, nuking a boss in a couple of hits would likewise be boring as fuck.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Ok, so one thing here. The idea that death counts are inflated is total and utter bullshit. There is absolutely no advantage or reason for anyone to overreport any covid deaths, in fact, many of the experts are saying the covid death count is hugely underreported, not catching people who die outside of a hospital, or die without a covid test. There is more insentive for governments to underreport cases, and several republican states have been claimed to be doing that. Underreporting cases and deaths would give people a false sense of security, encourage them to flout regulations, and could be used to justify prematurely reopening businesses.  So, the death count and case counts are probably inaccurate. I have heard mention that the actual case count in theUS  should be considered to be 5x more,  due to this, and as well as the testing gap, where not everyone who needs a test gets one.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Personally if I were living in the States or even neighbouring Jamaica, I'd be more qeen on wearing a mask. But as it stands right now, I don't think its possible to get the virus here, as the gov said we have no active cases, and our borders are closed. Community spread also isn't really a thing, because since the first guy who came in from Switzerland, contact tracing was done, and the guy and his family had to self-isolate with supervision. Personally I think our government is still overdoing it, however if you walk through San Fernando, or Separia for example, you will see vertually zero people wearing their masks. In Separia to an extent why folks would wear a mask, because there are a lot of markets down there, and neighbouring Penal and Debe are hotspots for congrigation, because of their famous doubles, but in S'ando where we have relatively wide pavements, people walk spread out, i don't see the gist. I'd quicker wear my mask like when I enter a store. And its not because I have to, I've actually become acustom to doing that. I'm still confused as to our Health Minister babbling about a second wave, and second wave, and adadadadadadaddadah. But I'm wondering how can we have a second wave, if according to your numbers nobody has the virus, and the borders are closed? That being said though, we actually do have a chance of infection. Our neighbour to the south, Venezuela. Everyday her people leaves, and illegally comes into Trinidad, via fishing towns in the south west, which is under populated. It's already happened. The coast guard captured a Venie boat coming in and 2 of the people on the boat were indeed infected, so that's our risk there. As for blaming the virus for deaths? I believe that could be a factor down here as all of the people who died were old folks in their late 70's going upward. And most of them had other problems like diabeties and sugar. So that's still a mistery.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Jade, I only have one question, because other than that, your post was very well spoken and eloquent, as usual.Of those 129000 deaths, are all of those deaths actually because of covid, or simply being labelled as such? I've seen enough statements from reliable sources in my books that have said that a good number of these deaths arenot actually due to covid19, that if you were known to have covid19 and then died afterwards, many places noted it as a covid death. Your thoughts on this? For me personally, I think I'm ata point where I feel like no social gatherings at all is not helping any at all. Spikes are inevitable, because at some point we are going to open p. How big the spike is what we can control... and at least here in BC, people are recognizing the importance of keeping social gatherings small, but also acknowledging how important those gatherings are. I haven't forgotten the seriousness of the disease, but I also believe that being told to sit still is going to work for so long. Officials in BC have said that 50 people wil be the largest size of gathering until an affective treatment of vaccine is found. What if none is? We still don't have one for SARS or MERS... is 50 going to be the largest number of people gathered for the forseeable future then? Because that seems pretty grim to me... so is it serious? Hell yes. But do I think there have been some questionable regulations made that are a little heavy-handed? Part of me is starting to think so, especially as we are starting to reopen, and the number of cases is going down. Having said that,I definitely do not think thousands should be flocking to events without at least a mask. Two meters or not, wel, I'm starting to wonder about that, too.

Oh also. Tell me something, because I'm dying to know. You wanted to know where the money for Sanders' propositions was going to come from.Where did the money to treat the pandemic come from?Better question: do you care where it came from, or do you simply cash the cheque you may receive because the government made it happen? It is interesting to me that a lot of questions are raised about where certain people will get money, yet no one deigns to ask the same of others, for different reasons. Someone wants to jack military spending, and very few republicans actually care where that money comes from. But the instant we suggest trying to help people get out of poverty, the republicans want to know where it's all going to materialize from. Very telling.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Let's get some facts straight here, before we go off half-cocked and make bigger fools of ourselves. The CDC claims that America has approximately 2.7 million confirmed cases (I'm rounding down a little here). Of those cases, approximately 129000 people have died. This is a death rate of something like 0.46% (again, rough math), which conflicts very badly with Accman's numbers. I'm getting mine from reputable sources. From what I've managed to dig up, Pennsylvania has an overall population of approximately 12-13 million. They've had close to 88000 Covid-19 cases, of which about 6700 resulted in death. These are actually really weird numbers, since nearly 7.5% of people infected in Pennsylvania apparently die from the disease. Just let that sink in for a minute. Forget all the numbers about ventilators. Don't equate being on a ventilator with a clean bill of health. Clearly, if Pennsylvania has all those tools, and still has such a death rate, that's significant. This is not a matter of leftist propaganda trying to scare you. These are the numbers in a well-developed country which has either the greatest or second greatest per-capita infection rate in the world. If other countries have slightly higher death rates, you should note that America's health system is one of the best in the world, and so those who get sick have a much better chance of receiving enough help that they can fight off the virus and return to health. It also bears mentioning that many European countries had better luck fighting off Covid-19, and had a considerably smaller per-capita infection and death rate. It couldn't be because these countries took the pandemic seriously, now, could it?Some states are much better than others. It's entirely possible that Pennsylvania is one of the good states, as far as overall cases is concerned. Less than a hundred thousand cases in a population over twelve million is an infection rate of less than one percent...though, with that said, this is relatively consistent with America overall, where the infection rate is not currently over 1%. Again, this doesn't mean you cannot or will not get the virus; we've still got months of this to deal with, and scientific projections suggest that anywhere from 20 to 50% of the globe is going to get sick at some point in the future. New York, after all, has taken things very seriously after being one of the first epicenters of infection earlier in the pandemic, and Pennsylvania is not too far away. However, states like Florida, Georgia and Arizona are noticing new spikes, and if folks in America - and for all I know, in other places as well - are not careful, we're going to experience another wave.Again, this is not a leftist trying to scare you. This is a leftist who decided to fight ignorance with facts. I don't want anyone who reads this to be scared or to lose hope. What I am hoping for is a clear and rational response to a disease that kills about one in every two hundred and ten people that it infects. That doesn't sound like all that much, really, and it's lower than initial projections of 0.5-1%, but it's not so drastically low that those projections look like lies. The nature of a pandemic is that comprehension and a big-picture perspective evolve with time. the other thing to bear in mind with a pandemic is that you must be prepared to act early, and not simply be reactionary and sluggish. Please read that Atlantic article I mentioned before. One of the reasons these numbers are so high in the United States is because the Trump administration had an extremely slow and sloppy start to how it handled this pandemic. The pandemic is by no means the fault of right-wingers or of Trump himself - it was a horrible accident, and the blame game helps no one - but let's stick to those facts I mentioned. If you handle the pandemic better, fewer die. If fewer die, the overall toll on the system is lower. If the overall toll on the system is lower, then the long-term effects, while still incalculable and somewhat alarming, are probably less so.Again, I'm not trying to scare anyone. But I'm just not going to sit quietly by while somebody tries to dissuade you or presents only certain pieces of the puzzle in order to suit an agenda.Accman, what I will say for you is that if (when) numbers in your state begin to spike again, I hope that you re-examine your position of noncompliance. There's no sense being overly terrified, obviously, but there's equally no sense in ignoring the bigger picture. Remember: the leftists you so gleefully try to insult did not create this virus, and they didn't deliberately try and spread it, and they have not been trying to lie about its impact. America has a lot to answer for, as a country, for how it has handled things. One thing though. Nice job trying to politicize it by slamming the folks who tried to stand in solidarity with George Floyd at his funeral. Are you seriously trying to tell

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

America is now the way it is because lots of people here choose to let the media tell them everything and refuse to do their own research. Now, that isn't to say everyone fits that idea, but quite a number of people find it easier to be spoon-fed then to just do the research for themselves. That's a major part of the reason where in the mess we're in here in the states. Also, we've got a lot of people who are not being taught very much about our Constitution, the document on which this country stands. It's amazing to me just how little most of us actually understand about this important document. We have all of these rights, and yet there are still so many people that don't seem to understand that those rights are actually there. then, on the other side of the coin, we have those who know their rights, but go so far as to abuse those rights. It is, however, when those in power, and in this case I'm referring to the leftists primarily, take it upon themselves to trample all over those rights. Even worse, when they trample over the rights of certain folks, and let others get a free pass. What they've done to us with this virus situation is criminal at best, and they're still getting away with it.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Everytime I see how America is doing in terms of their cases I can't help but chuckle. I live in a 3RD world country and we were able to beat the virus. I could go to KFC if I want. I can go to the movies if i want, I can travel in a bus if I want. But the country that's supposed to be the greatest in the world has over like, what? 3 million cases and hundreds of thousands dead? The other funny thing is how the media, yes the media, was making the virus out to be this evil destructive plague, and they predicted over 3 Trinidadian lives would be lost to this. Let's just say, they may have made a tiny overexageration. Like, really tiny. How does 28992 deaths off sound to you? I mean, we're all in this together, but I just find that fact very funny.Another fact waas that we got some ventilators from China, yes China, and what did we get from the US whom occupies a base on our land? Whom they get pitch from? The threat of the US government crippling our economy and restricting trade, when they know that we import like 70% of our food. Ironically enough, i think if America went ahead with that plan the 3 figure may have been right. Just not to the virus, but to starvation. In case you're wondering, they were gonna sanction us for selling oil to a company in Aruba, who then sold oil to Venezuela,, so they think we're violating the sactions. They were also going to sanction us because if Chinese and Iranian ships passed to close to our shores, it would look as if we're condoning them trading. Lord. This became a stupid rant.

Re: you now can donate to me!

I did promise an update on u2f-ing vps's, so here's what I know so far. My solokey can work with ssh, so if you're running your own show you had best go get yourself one, so that you can ditch the single-password ssh logins. They're as cheap as $20 which is more than can be said of the ubikey. Vultr, however, only supports ubikeys (stupid, stupid, stupid. They must be using a proprietary standard in addition to fido2). I can't speak for any other vps providers. This means that, while ssh is protected, nothing's stopping someone from brute forcing their way into your account, intercepting the 2f a sms message or worse, sim-swapping you, getting into the account and accessing the web terminal. All because it doesn't support the freaking solokey. But for crying out loud get at least one 2  a set up, along with multiple layers of security for your linux box. Or, more realistically, get  a reputable hosting provider, stop pretending to run a web hosting provider and stick to teamtalk.

Re: Steam Summer Sale, any of these worth getting?

Love street fighter 30th anniversary collection. Only wish they included alpha 3 upper, super turbo is as hard as nails but it's a fun games collection. There isnt much in the way of unlockables, but if you just want all the old games and art and music in one place then it's perfect, plus there's online play for 4 of the 12 included games.

Re: Steam Summer Sale, any of these worth getting?

I think you should speak to Ironcross about rdr2. From what I know, you can use a trainer like in gta v and a completed story save. You can do a lot of things in the game like, I don't know, steal horses, kill people and so on.@41 a s d w to move probably and besides the punch buttons you don't need to learn anything else. Yes, sf 30th collection is super playable. I don't own it, but my classmate has that on her ps4.

Nothing crazy at all, I just wanna monitor all my ins, and have 2 config files with that setup, one that just plays DAW audio through the monitor How do you guys usually handle stuff like this?utputs on the back, and the other that also plays computer audio through the back along with DAW, just like the headphone amps.Where can I go to get these configured? How do you guys typically handle stuff like this? I have asked for sighted help but they didn't know what the hell they were doing unfortunately, and my instructions weren't helping
