Ahh, another acolyte joins the fold I see... Python is generally recommended for beginners, being fairly robust, has good support, and a strong community. You should try checkout out Amerikranian's Guide [here], or other books like the [Python Practice Book], [Dive Into Python], or [Think Python], to name a few. Once you have the core basics down, you can start moving towards support libraries for making windows, handling key/mouse input, audio, tts, etc.And yes, this should be in the developers room.

This Noob Wants to Learn How to Code

Hi there. Total noob here when it comes to coding. But I consider myself a fairly creative person and would like to learn, in a basic sense, how to code audiogames. I understand this is a huge undertaking. Any tips where I can find a coding kit or something similar? People have mentioned BG toolkit, but they've also said it's kind of obsolete as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I forget where I originally found this, but in a timely feat of coincidence, it just showed up in my Facebook memories, and seemed relevant:""I spent a month in a farming village in China about 15 years ago. Farmhands there made about $8 a day during the growing season, and little during the winter. They would be supporting a family of 4 or more, so that would be under $2 a day on average. Yet prices for rent and food were so low that, if you considered only the essentials, they were making better wages than many people in America. They were poor if they wanted to buy manufactured goods, and poor in that certain standards (clean air, quiet neighbors, reliable electricity) were unavailable. Most of them had a particularly horrible kind of indoor plumbing that was much worse than no plumbing at all, but did have television (the true necessity). I don't know about the price of fuel or electricity. My point is that using the exchange rate to compute how many dollars a day someone makes in a country in which the exchange rate is only used to price things that the locals don't buy is very misleading.""

Re: Let's discuss

As I understand it, the Green Revolution, by which famine has been all but eliminated from the countries that adopted it, was primarily funded by not just Capitalist, but the stereotypical bad boss Capitalists with a capital C, for the purpose of proving they could do it better than the commies. One big problem that the biggest communist governments in the 20th century had was a devotion to ideology over reallity. In China, this manifested as the redness vs expertees debates. Frankly, Chairman Mao had no idea how to manage either agriculture or industry, and tried to manage both from the top, and it was a complete and utter disaster. Deng's reforms turned things around dramatically, and the real question is why it took Mao dying before anyone tried Deng's solutions. You can see similar with Stalin and Kruschev, but Kruschev's style lasted until Stalin's old buddies got sick of his "actually making things better" crap and took his place. The main thing making me distrust 21st century socialists is that everything I see from them reminds me more of Mao than Deng. Yea, even not-so-dramatically socialist armchair intellectuals who sound compelling still leave me skeptical, because prior to the Chinese Civil War and the Long March, Mao was also a compelling-sounding armchair intellectual. The key difference between Capitalism and the failed 20th century implementations of Communism is that Capitalism is results-driven. Every single time Communism has been attempted, it immediately became totalitarians who refused to let policy be driven by reallity, rather than the decisions they already made before testing anything. Competition and Capitalism are terribly flawed as mechanisms for improvement, but they are mechanisms for improvement. The socialist answer to "what is your incentive for improvement?" seems to be something nebulous about no longer being bound to the capitalist grindstone, to which I say: look at this community, and all our SSI-powered free time, and ask yourself: where is the improvement? And how long has it taken?(The improvement came from Aprone and Ian Rheed (who had 9-5 jobs and stable relationships at the time), and Nyanchan, whose strange powers of awesomeness I do not in any way understand. VGStorm.com, GMA games, PCS, L-Works ... do these have anything in common, which our crop of SSI-powered or parent-powered not-so-influential devs do not? The main trick I would pull with more money is to hire a producer, and I am not sure I'd know how to do that if I could afford it.)I'm not saying that Capitalism is the best. I'm saying that Socialism is a broad and ill-confined concept whose primary representatives without massive humanitarian disasters are in Scandinavia, where the populations are small, culturally unified, and incidentally Sweeden has really high suicide rates (which I'm sure can be blamed on the lattitude and climate...). The Green New Deal is an excellent example of not even trying to be in touch with reallity. "We're going to fight Climate Change by giving everyone free stuff!" How do you get from point A to point Green? There's always a section labeled "and then, because we overthrew Satan and met everyone's basic needs (which we accomplished because of ), everyone magically does what's best and we all live happily ever after." Even Scandinavia, who is closest to this vision, is not in a happily ever after. And, hey, if you really think it is... why not move there? That is not a suggestion to leave; we have Scandinavians here, so I'd assume you'd report on the results every so often, and the conversation would continue. It's more "if this is the answer, why are you admiring it from afar rather than testing it up close?" Heck, talk to Scandinavian policy-makers, or read their work.To summarize: Communists historically have struggled with ideology Vs pragmatism, and even though the latter has demonstrably worked better, 21st century socialists appear disturbingly more similar to Maoists than Dengists. Scandinavian socialism is great, but just how great is it, and where are all the socialists from Capitalist countries who can afford to emigrate, and why?

Examples are Revenge of the Undead, Survive the wild, Build to Survive, and others that I can't mention. I always say if you want to make money in audiogames, make an online FPS and add paid items.

I'm not trying to say that people shouldn't have a game where they can rp, but me personally I hate rp, I dont' want to pretend to be so and so from such and such galaxy, I just wanna log on and play the game, I enjoy space based muds but man every one I've come across is exactly the same way. Hi TunmiI'm willing to manage the version control of the installer and in fact, the whole installer for you. This is because I personally find using the installer quite a bit easier than the zip, as it's much easier to launch something from the start menu than from the file explorer. However, I'll wait for the get-go sign from you to officially start work. Also, another thing that I have to fix is that once the installer does install the program, you have to move the translations into a translations folder, else they won't work.

2020-10-28 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : Jayde via Audiogames-reflector

Re: Let's discuss

I would argue that it isn't competition that sits at the root of innovation. It's need.I don't think it's so much that you want to beat the other guy, in and of itself. I think it's that if you don't beat the other guy, he gets a larger slice of that pie. And if getting a small slice of the pie means you starve to death, then your need to survive is going to push you to innovate so that it's you who gets the larger slice of pie. It's a classic "I win, you lose" mentality which does not have to exist. There are a lot of things that have gotten better because competition under capitalism sets up a pretty dark scenario if you lose the contest. Fine. But that's not the way it has to be, and I think that trying to assert this dynamic as an intrinsic part of human nature is shortsighted at best, and dishonest at worst. So let's get back to need here.Scientists tell us that we're wrecking the planet. Okay, I'd say that's a pretty big need. We aren't in competition with each other, we're (hopefully) in cooperation because we have a common goal. New energy, cleaner energy. The banning of fossil fuels and single-use plastics. All kinds of other things I'm not going to list here. We're going to do those not because John from Corporation X said he'd get there first; we're going to do it because we might fucking die if we don't. I'm sorry, but under the idea that only competition breeds innovation, we're all doomed. We have to constantly keep ourselves at odds with one another, us and them, in order to continue improving. And I can't tell you how bleak that looks. But again, to circle back to need. What happened with vaccines in the past, or even vaccines today? Medical research that's beneficial to everyone? I mean, we could have a talk about big pharma hosing its clientele, and how this is being peddled now, but at base, medicine is meant to improve quality of life. I would say that we all need to survive, at least insofar as our bodies last. And I could go on here, but I hope I've proven my point. The tl.dr version is simple:Yes, it's true that if you put two people in competition to outdo one another, or to compete for presumably limited resources, they'll hry hard to fuck the other guy over. But it's also true that actual need is the baseline for what drives these people. Not the desire to win, but the need to possess whatever is at stake: money, livelihood, property, territory. Power, in other words. We have turned power into your reward for success. In a far-future socialism-based society, that competition won't need to happen, but we're never going to be perfect. There will always be new diseases and viruses. There will always be crime. There will always be ways to improve on things. Growing population will require better resource allocation, for instance. There will always be creative minds ready and eager to share. I promise you that the death of capitalism, and its inherent us-and-them mentality, will not kill innovation. In fact, maybe we'll go back to "improving" things because they actually need it, instead of the shit we see today.I'm reminded of a Serts commercial from the late 1990s. This was the point at which I realized that innovation had partially jumped the shark. The commercial's only selling point was that Serts now came in a new box. "Cool mint drops, cool new box" was the slogan. Seriously? You're not fucking eating the box! It's cool that you're repackaging, but are you actually improving the product itself? And this is just a microcosm of the situation. People now release version after version, with very little difference, for more money, because capitalism. I'd love to see us genuinely improve on things in ways that make sense and in ways that aren't simply driven by the engine of money.

@46That's because they copied the theory of socialism mechanically and did not consider the issue in light of the national conditions. The cultural background and ideology of each country are different. How can we directly apply the theory of socialism by copying it? It must be improved to find a set of socialist theories and development models that suit its own national conditions.Theory can only be used as a reference. We must absorb what is helpful to us and use what is in line with our own conditions. We must use theories selectively, and at the same time we must advance with the times to improve them. For example, everyone is different. Everyone can learn mathematical theory, but some people are good at understanding geometric figures but not good at algebra. Some people are good at algebra but not good at geometric figures. This is the difference in thinking. Not to mention the differences between countries

Well mine is a bit different from most; I work at an agency that serves people who are blind.  But it's still a cool story and you might still benefit from it (or at least have a good laugh).  I was actually applying for a different job, landed that job, and one of the hanchos saw I had all kinds of code stuff on my resume.  So he gave me a little test project, to work on whenever I had time.  It was stupidly simple HTML, it was done in an hour or two, and they liked what they saw. and the rest is history.Flash forward four years, and we added another developer.  By now, they had seen what one programmer can do, and they came prepared.  They gave applicants this hilarious problem-solving puzzle, trying to figure out how many Disney employees played Mickey Mouse over the course of a year.  The person who made it though nailed this test.  She explained all kinds of ways to figure this out, from how long it took to do a single show to how long people can safely wear those hot costumes to when the peak tourism times were.  Her answer was hysterical, and awesome.  She was not blind/low-vision, but the thing is she went through the same "let's see if this person can really code" kind of tests.

Re: Let's discuss

Although I gave many positive points about Socialism, I will not support it, not now at least.Okay, it talks about equality in everything, but what will happen to people who work extra hard to get money. My above line was not clear, here is an example. let's say, you are an engineer, or a doctor may be.There are many who are junior in terms of rank, there is also the staff which is responsible for cleaning the area.Just because to promote equality, everyone should get $5 (hypothetical) no matter how much work, weather more or less they do?Although Socialism is what helped Soviet Union in 1929 in the time of Economic Crisis. But why did it disintegrate later.A Developing Country, India said after its independence, that it is a Socialist country, but why did it fail. Poland was a Socialist Country, why did the Socialism failed.

Re: Best audio (code) library for C?

I totally understand your perspective.  It's easy to make a buggy mess with C.  I use C/C++ at work as well, and I'm all too familiar with things like dereferencing null pointers, double-frees, buffer overflows, and other stupid mistakes that cause segfaults/crashes.  I've done a lot of Win32 stuff, a lot of half-done games with SDL (half-done because I lost interest, not because I got stuck or frustrated lol).  I even enjoy coding games for 8-bit systems using the CC65 compiler.  I am very familiar with modern C++, but I'm not a fan.  But I won't get on that soap box.  Bottom line, I appreciate the suggestion of picking another language, but I'm cool with C.Having said that though, I will definitely check out your project.  I think I probably will end up going with SDL for my game (cuz you're right, it is rock-solid stable), but I'd be interested to see if I can get it going on Linux.  Like I wonder if it'll run under Wine (a tool that converts Win32 calls to native Linux API calls).  If not, there are tons of libraries I could use to build a Linux port.  So it might be fun to mess with, and thanks for telling me about it. Also, has anyone used Portaudio in here?  I stumbled on it the other day and it looks like it might work.

Wow, these moves are good. Also is there any water type that learns Marena-Overdrive, I think, I have most of my water types at level 100, but no one got it yet. Also, a suggestion to prevent cheat if it is possible. The use of Cheat Engine has been increased, yesterday I battled a friend of mine. He had manamons which had average stats of 500, 600. Though I managed to beat him in 3vs6 battle, but still online battling  will get boring in the future as people will use cheated manamons, and the game allows 500 training points per manamon. So the idea is, the manamons who have 500, or less, but not more than 500 training points, can only be used for battle?

Ok, the example of Nintendo vs sega is a bad one because even though sega isn't making hardware anymore, Nintendo is also nit the only console manufacturer in terms of video games, so there is still competition in the gaming market between them, Sony and Microsoft. Microsoft and Sony are always trying to outdo one another, and Nintendo continues to do its own thing. Each branch continues to serve a particular group of gamers. I will sight examples where competition has fostered innovation, because I have already spoken of how the lack of competition has lead to the stagnation of electronic arts sports games. When capcom licensed their beat em up final fight to be released on the snes, many sacrifices had to be made to fit the game onto the cartridge, making the port inferior. In response, sega developed streets of rage for the megadrive from the ground up do that no sacrifices had to be made, giving players 3 characters to choose from, cooperative play, improvement to the combat system, a complete set of stages, and multiple endings, all of which was lacking in the snes version of final fight, making the megadrive's streets of rage superior. When street fighter 2 popularized the fighting genre in 1991, everyone tried to copy them, and we got some great franchises out of all the different game devs trying to one up each other and trying to bring new elements such as weapons and finishing moves to the genre. Thefe are tons more examples like these, and not just game related that absolutely prove that competition has bred innovation. I can guarantee that in an alternate universe where only capcom was allowed to make fighting games, and where Nintendo were the only one allowed to make home consoles, the gaming landscape would have died out long ago, because people would have gotten sick of playing the same thing over and over again, and developers would be content to hash out the same products over and over again, because that was all there was to buy. I stress again the example I sited earlier about how EA has all the licenses to all the major sports brands, so they can just change the numbers and a few animations of their old games and release them as new games without fear, because no one else is there to make better games than they that includes the same amount of brand recognition. People are starting to see that now, and they are growing discontent. Just look at critic and user  reviews for the different sports games such as fifa, Madan, for the last 5 years and you will see how they have declined. The opposite of innovation is stagnation, and this is a classic case of it.

Software Engineer Interviewing

Ok. So I won't go into too much of my personal life, but anyway, I am beginning to interview for Software Engineering positions again (already have a few lined up). I wanted to know, are any of you interested in sharing your engineering interview experiences as a blind person?I may need some tips, especially since I feel my skills in interviewing are a bit rusty (since it's been a few years). I'm mainly looking for when would you disclose to an employer of visual impairment (either on initial conversational calls or technical calls when you're kind of forced to do that). As an additional question, anyone willing to practice with me? I know it's a long shot, but wouldn't hurt to ask.BTW, I'm in the US, so would be looking at standard interviews as conducted in the US (not that other countries are much different). Also, for those of you who have never been through the interview process, would you like to do some mock interviewing with me? I put myself at about mid to senior level of engineering and am familiar with some industry practices.Anyway, just thought I'd see what, if any, interest there is to do something like this.

Hi,I’m all caught up on your final fantasy series  now. I’ve just finished watching the most recent tenth video in the series. I really liked the motorbike section, sounded like that would have been fun to play and it sounds like they put a lot of work into the scene. I imagine it must have looked pretty awesome having cloud attacking other bikers  with his buster sword whilst riding his own bike too, the scene made me think of the old Akira anime film. I really liked the fact you show the alternative outcome for if you fail the bike ride, that was a nice touch. I was a little disappointed when it sounded like you’d failed, so it was awesome when you went back and showed the successful outcome too, really nice touch thanks for adding that. BTW, I think if I could play the game the motorbike section would have had me stuck for ages, I’m fairly sure I’d be rubbish at both driving, avoiding obstacles and fighting of a ton of enemies all at the same. Time, whilst trying to keep HP above 80%. As ever, great job, loved all the recordings in the series so far. Planning on checking out  some of your other series next.Paul Lemm

Re: Let's discuss

A more comical version of competition can be found from the early 1990s, between the Supernintendo and Sega Genesis."Sega Genesis has "blast processing". Supernintendo doesn't".This was a term made up pretty much on the spot to explain the shorthand for how the Genesis had slightly better graphics-rendering capabilities. But what it actually did was make it sound like the Genesis had some sort of awesome-sounding advantage, and people bought it.Advertising has gotten crazier since. Everyone is trying to one-up the other guy. How often do you hear the phrase "better than the leading brand"? What tripe! If it's "leading", then how you can be better than it? Or, if you have to tell the truth, then what other metric is it leading in?This idea that you have to have competition in order to fuel innovation is actually not proven, as far as I'm aware. But even if it were, that competition shouldn't be weaponized in order to kill those who fail at it. That's just capitalism at its worst.Nocturnis, I agree with you, as it happens. I know damn well that I'm not going to convince anyone, and I'm not actually trying to do that, because my far-future scenario is a long, long way off. In the meantime, I just think it's important to build the infrastructure, redistribute the wealth and make sure everybody's needs get met. Universal basic income might be a nice way to start that, for instance. And yes, it has been tried before, and no, it didn't spectacularly blow up either.

Hi,Very excited the game is due to be released in just over a week now, I’ve been looking forward to this one for ages. Watched the recent video, its really great to see you guys looking at new ideas and innovations for both this game, other episodes in the series and of course the main game Pitch black too, I’ll be buying this as soon as it drops next Friday, just not sure yet whether I’ll get it on iPhone or PC. regardless of the platform I choose to buy it on, after seeing the rich detailed soundscapes in the video, I’m really looking forward to the audio treat and getting to play the game. Re: We should be able to delete our own topics!

@40, these things are normal elsewhere because those other places use modern software and techniques. This forum software is 5-10 years old. Delete a topic and all the posts go with it -- and there's no recovering it. There's no backups. There's no record of what you even said -- its like you never posted it all to begin with. You delete a topic somewhere else and its readable/recoverable by admins/mods. (I'm also against deletion of posts here for the same reason that there's no recovering it by mods, but I can't imagine the community would take well to that -- they think the admins/mods are already draconian enough as is.)

Hi,I'm loving the new update. I am wondering about choppers though. I figured out what happens when they land, and it's utterly hilarious chaos. Trouble is, more often than not, a bomb will just destroy it. I'm either wondering if spawn time, or location, could be tweeked because more often than not the chopper will get destroyed by the bomb. Note, this aspect should not be fully removed as it's also part of the fun, but it would be cool to have more choppers land. Alternatively, and I think this could be cooler, have enemies drop an ambush item for endless mode which basically does the same thing as choppers landing, this way choppers can just stay as they are.

I can't comment on the English voices much, since I listen to it in Japanese most of the time unless I really don't understand something. To move to the right spot, press move and then press diagonally up and right on the left analogue stick for just under a second then press x. Your character should move there, if not, the top option in the pause menu allows you to retry as many times as you like. The invasion point is a little northeast of your starting position.

Hello.Dragonium is an old-looking browser game. I tried to make it compatible with most popular screen readers and browsers. It is not issued by a studio but by a non-profit association. I'm the developer of the game and the president of the association (volunteer).About your remarks :@JasonBlaze : The dialog box is is normal. If you don't read what is written, you won't be able to play Dragonium. This dialog box "against nature" is a perfect example of people in a hurry who don't read and don't know why it doesn't work.@aaron : I changed the word "title" for "heading".@aaron @Luel : All the game is in English but not the quests NPC : The translation is ready, I have to set it in the pages.  Craft NPC are translated. For the moment, you can use Chrome and its auto translator, it will help.@Luel, what is the text which is not translated ? You can write to me in game, I'm Yywyn.I'm open to all remarks ! As I'm alone for coding and I don't have time to play, I can't find all bugs. I need English-speaking players to report bugs or translation errors like you did. Until today, we hadn't any English-speaking player to help. I hope this forum will help to create a good community. We like to chat with people in the game, don't be shy ! Your account just needs to be activated (like on this forum) to be able to communicate with people. As many people seems to be blind here, you can get a map in braille for free. The problem is that the printing software had a bug and I have to take time for solving this problem too. But I'm confident to succeed in the next days. And I'm working for days on the Halloween event (which may be several days late ?). It will be available in English. It will be a kind of point and click game in the game.See you soon !

But sorry for rambling, its evening and i'm just going on and on. The real purpose of this topic is did anyone play real boxing on the pc? I picked it up, it looks promising, and i love the commentary. The main thing is how do you guys handle these training minigames in any boxing or whatever fighting game which has them? I think fight night round 3 had them too. I'm totaly clueless about them, they're too visual to handle in my opinion. Alternatively, do you know a good mma or boxing game with commentary which can be played well in windows environment? I had slight keyboard problems with fight night round 3 which i emulated, the problem is that i use the pc with one hand and pressing for example right and x is well, you can imagine...

2020-10-28 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — General Game Discussion : Skhye via Audiogames-reflector

Re: Did Galactic colonies ever get fixed?

In the spirit of asking for forgiveness instead of permission, I'll repost something I wrote in a different thread last summer. I solemnly swear not to make a habit of this. I know how annoying it can be.With explore by touch, I have been able to get past level 350. This includes many planets where I had to build drones and fusion engines. It's all very doable, if explore by touch works for you. I hope some of this information is helpful. I wish I knew what could be done about the timer bugs. Those are total game killers. Anyway, here's my original post.I posted about explore by touch on AppleVis, and thought I would share it here. I hope you find this helpful, especially if you're having trouble with explore by touch and knowing where things are in order to make sure buildings are able to connect to each other. Please let me know if you have any questions.Let me see if I can provide some clarification, as there are a couple of issues here. First, as you have already discovered, standard VoiceOver gestures don't work all that well. If you turn VoiceOver off and use the built in speech, you will almost certainly have a better experience. Flicking, for example, does not follow the logical order that it does in most apps. I'm not entirely sure what happens when you flick, but you don't move from region to region, row by row, as we are used to. So, when navigating the map using explore by touch, turn VoiceOver off. Oh yes, the map refers to the area where the regions are, empty as well as those containing crystals, gas, etc.  Now to the issue of explore by touch itself. If the map does not appear on the screen, tap once with three fingers. This will take you to your colony base. Flick to the back button and double tap it. Flicking works well enough when you're in a region or option screen. It's only the map screen where flicking becomes unreliable. So, flick to the back button and double tap it, which will return you to  the map. Now, if you explore the screen with one finger, you will be able to find regions. At first, regions will only appear in the middle. If you move your finger too close to the edges of the screen, it won't say anything or give you other feedback as to what's happening. Move your finger back toward the center of the screen to find regions again. When you need to slide the map around to explore regions that aren't on the screen, here's how. Place two fingers on the screen. Then, while the speech is announcing how much money you have, gently slide the map away from the direction you want to explore. For instance, if there are hidden regions on the right side, slide the map to the left and they will move onto the screen and  become visible. it's as though you've got a big piece of paper on a table, with a small frame, the screen of your phone, on top of it. Use two fingers to slide the paper around so the desired regions move into the frame. Keep your slides small at first, until you get used to how much the map moves. I hope this makes sense. All of this works better if VoiceOver is not active. The only time I load VoiceOver while playing the game is when I get stuck in one of those ads that you can't close without using VoiceOver.

not trying to be rude but i found a problem with your plan. you see. a nintendo switch apps can only run and interact with its self. and they cant run in the background in any way. if you close it its gone. so it would have to be its own menu system then. homebrew can fix that though. sys moduals can run in the background and work just perfectly for a screen reader. no mater the thing they keep running.

Re: Any smokers in here?

@Jayde, thank you for your apology. I appreciate it, and I will extend one of my own. I'm sorry for making ridiculous comparisons. You're absolutely right. The more I think about it, the harder it is to find a good comparison that actually works. it's tempting to delve into comparing smoking with other dangerous activities, such as drinking irresponsibly, driving a vehicle, or voting Republican. Sorry, I couldn't help that last one. No offense, all in fun. Anyway, it's also hard to find good comparisons between asking for help with smoking and being bashed for it, and asking for help with something else with the same result. here's one that sort of works, and I am seriously busting myself for this one. A blind friend tweeted about safe ways to wear masks and gloves and practice social distancing so she could go out to eat and hang out with her friends. My completely unhelpful response: Stay the fuck at home! Not at all useful. In retrospect, I should have seconded her question, as I have stayed the fuck home since last January and am unfamiliar with safe methods of wearing masks and nonvisual social distancing. as things worked out, I apologize for being a jerk and my friend got some good information. I hope the OP of this thread found the informative posts helpful and was able to ignore the rest of the flotsam and jetsam.

I don't know how to load symbol files into lldb, have you just Googled it?  I just use VSCode.  But I know that it probably works, being as LLVM is behind the only high quality public documentation on the pdb format.

Does it seem weird to anyone but me that you get the full story for free, then you have to pay money for the  randomly generated stuff? It's usually the other way around. I know the story is just 10 short paragraphs and 10 maps, but usually it's the other way around. Just an odd concept.

After selecting asentinel, you already land on the option to select an attack. So if you press x, you will be brought into the skills list. There is no need to confirm your sentinel choice with x.

Re: 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Discussion

Hi.ah, thanks, that should help a toon.SStrangely though, my battle menu seams to be different. For example, I am at this second wave where you have to move first. When the battle starts, I can switch between the Sentinels of Kurabe and that other girl, something with "San" at the end. When I choose one of them, I seam to directly land on the machine gun option. I can move up and down in the menus, as well as left and right.Does left and right do the same as up and down?Because I already chose the sentinel that I wanted to control. The movement part is giving me some headaches.Greetings Moritz.

Re: autocorrection, dictation and other wonderful, terrible experiences

Yeah, you really, really want to proofread your dictations. No matter what language you're using and what you're writing. The number of people who don't, and then just hit send is just insane. Applevis is a prime example where you'll see this often, but if you've been on Twitter or mailing lists you'll see plenty there also. First one that comes to mind for me is how a person on Applevis was praising their iPhone 6 ass, how much of an amazing device it was. Well that comment would suggest otherwise! . I've also seen someone on the Dectalk mailing list writing it out as "Dick talk" instead, which although I'm sure is a very interesting topic is probably not relevant for that mailing list. As for me, I'm fairly sure I had a number of these over the years but since forgot most of them, also because they were caught before being sent. One small and amusing one that wasn't though was when I got my first smartphone and started using foursquare. Being able to dictate was such a fun gimmick back then that I wanted to do it every time even though that phone also had a keyboard. So we went to the shopping mall for lunch and to pick up a copy of Mortal Kombat 9. So, I checked in and dictated "getting food and Mortal Kombat". Fast forward a few months, I'm scrolling through my old tweets and... Turns out my check-in actually said "Getting food *In* Mortal Kombat". That would have probably been far more entertaining! XD
