changing the color of a picture with microsoft paint if I open a picture in paint, in windows10, not paint 3d, regular old paint, anyway is there a way I can find out what color the picture is, and if it is too light a color, can I change the color of the picture to gray, red, or brown? a darker color? I tried embossing some clipart I got from google images filtering by clipart and I am guessing the colors are too light because the dots came out light on the paper. if I can darken the color I could get a better tactile graphic from the braille buddy embosser. thanks for any tips for manipulating images in microsoft paint. Change Reaction Hi everyone,A while ago I purchased Change Reaction from the draconis website for my windows PC, and was emailed a registration key. All was well. Right up until I tried to register using that registration key. I would generally get a message that would say something like the server was not available or something similar. Has this happened to anyone else?I have had a friend who this has happened to as well myself, and he has direct-tweeted and/or DM'd the developer without getting a response. We have both contacted support on their website and gotten no responses. Any help would be appreciated. I no longer remember the specific API in the tutorial, but if we have two objects colliding (a, b) then naively:a.collides_with(b) b.collides_with(a)Would give both objects a chance to do something.It will surprise many people here that I'd ever say this I think, but for small games the giant switch with isinstance may be clearer. That's also ironically the case for really big games with tons and tons of complex interactions, though there you'd kind of want to hide it away by using the fact that Python classes are objects and you can actually put all your cases in a registry. But anyone who could write that registry likely wouldn't be asking so that's maybe not exactly helpful advice.In either case the abstractions actually vary quite a lot, you do whatever is suitable for your thing. The problem with complex interactions is that you might have to look at both objects, so maybe you do pubsub or something instead rather than splitting every collision between functions in two classes. There's lots and lots of choices. Re: Earwax Story Builder I built up a little three room thingie. My goal is to have it where you have to kill a bear. So is that even possible right now? Does this thing have a stat based system that can handle health at the very least? Also, I would like the bear to automatically attack the player when they enter the room, perhaps with a slight time delay to allow them to read the description first. I also have an object which I'd like to allow it to restore a bit of health. I named a cluster of blueberries, and it's gatherable before you reach the monster room.I don't know what to think of this thing yet. I don't dislike it, but I'm not sure if I like it either. I'll have to put the sounds in and all that. Then see what it's like to work my way through it in play mode rather than edit mode. One thing is for sure, I'm not really a fan of the interface. It's... interesting.One thing I definitely think could help in that regard are sounds for hitting the edges of the menus and when navigating through objects, exits, etc. and there are no more in that direction. Maybe even one for when you land on a heading or an option that does nothing but indicates that you've entered a new section. Re: It's time to try something new Well, here's my opinion.Yes, while open-sourcing is a decent idea, there'd be lots of issues and probably would only lead to Tunmi getting more criticism from people who either think or actually know BGT better than him. Really wish I could play the SBP with the M16, MM9, old cannon, and the glider again though. I'd pay to play that thing again. If he wants to open source it that's fine with me, and I certainly hope someone would edit and make it into something like what we used to have. Or maybe take it in a completely different direction? Bloodstorm, SBP, they were both simple and fun, and the way BS ended was this sort of weird thing that took what it used to be and turned it to something different, yet left the shell of it there. I guess a good way of describing it would be making a peanut butter sandwich but then adding ketchup. If you like ketchup on your peanut butter sandwiches that's kind of weird, but I think you'll still get what I'm trying to say here.If he decides not to open-source it, that's fine with me as well. problem with RetroArch Hi all,I have a problem with RetroArch and one of its psx emulators.The emulator is called PCSX-ReARMed. It starts a game with no problems but if I press any keys (controller or keyboard) it shows no reaction. The game plays but I can't do anything.Does anyone know what to do?Thanks! I wrote that without even realizing at first, and that was never the intention. If I knew you, you could say that, but I have absolutely no reason to do that.Now, for the real topic at hand, maybe I didn't do research, but I did use the option we are talking about. You have a choice of how much exactly you want to delete, and if you choose to delete everything, you are doing exactly the same thing you'd be doing when reinstalling Windows, the only downside being that you can't repartition your harddrive for obvious reasons. It makes it much easier to create things that are next to each other and have the right amount of space. It is basically a quick and easy way to draw out concepts in a 2 d plane. I hope that other solutions are possible but at least now I know. I implanted the code that I use to play sounds and the like using lua's table constructor so you can skip non-needed arguments. There's also the ability to play random from a set of sounds. So if you had sounds named throw1.ogg, throw2.ogg, throw3.ogg, etc., you could then have it pick one without having to do kludgy stuff in the function call to play. I can't remember if it has sequences yet for playing one sound after another using timing but yeah. I gotta put event sounds in, things go by so fast in this game.
