Hello allGetting back in to this after about 3 years.  I had a spectacular character with stats in the high 20's and almost all adventures completed up to that point.  For some reason firefox refused to load adventures and eventually somehow my character was lost through the cookies I assume getting deleted.  Every time I click on the log on with facebook button so I can actually save my character nothing happens.  Do I have to disable pop ups, anyone know?I hesitate to give facebook yet more of my information but I want to build up my strong character again.  I figure that involves upgrading my hardiness in the main hall as much as possible so I can carry more treasure?  I honestly don't remember how I got such a strong character last time, probably finding special items in adventures.Thanks

Not sure if this has been reported but here is another bug I'm sorry to say.  It looks like you can put the game in to an unstartable state.  I was playing for the first time just exploring and died of thirst.  Now when I start a new game, I instantly die of thirst.Otherwise loved what I was able to play so far, especially the crafting as it gives the player something to look forward to and a reason to play more.

Hello allWanted to try this out with the point and click adventure Beneath a Steel Sky.  Obtained the proper game version, ran config, ran game and no speech during first game play area.  I assume there are no keyboard keys for this or day of the tentacle?  I am running win10 on a bootcamped macbook air so also tried the touch pad which acts as a mouse.  NVDA screen reader is running.  I also ran the config after the game started and still nothing.  Must I connect a USB mouse?Very excited about what this program can do, hopefully it'll still work with mortal kombat 9 and ultra street fighter IV.Thanks!

Hello allJust picked up the steam version of this and absolutely love it!  One issue, ascii graphics and animations are disabled but NVDA is still reading random characters when pressing enter after making a choice.  Eventually the text is read normally.  The window is maximized.  I don't mind using the review cursor but is there any way to fix so it just reads text and all menu options?  Thanks!

Sorry if this has already been reported but found quite a bug at least in the demo.  If you end a battle when you were attacked from the left or right, exploring the area afterwords keeps the describer voice in the left or right of your headphones. If finished with an attack in the middle everything is fine.  This definitely can keep the player from hearing important information if a battle is ended from the left or right.

Hello allPlaying on firefox, played all adventures but for Attack of the Kretons.  That being said, have a very nice character.  When trying to play said game, I get to the screen where it says "Waking up the monsters" and the adventure does not load.  Do I have to start over?  Any other ideas or suggestions?Thanks!

@r3Dux Would there possibly be a way to use or for someone to easily reconfigure the killer instinct config to work for the definitive version on steam?  If it's a lot of trouble I understand but steam version sometimes goes on sale for $10 USD instead of $40 USD on microsoft store.On another note, I would be more than happy to eventually donate to or purchase any configs especially for fighting games on steam and or pc, although steam is where all the fighters seem to be sold these days.  All of the menus don't even have to speak, for me, it would be enough to get to the training/practice modes, adjust difficulty against the CPU and maybe even speech on the character select screen.Thanks so much again for your great work.

Wow this looks neat!  I have Ultra SF4 and MK9 on steam, looks easy to run, just select it from config list, press run config button and start game?  In looking at the XML for MK, it appears some menu options are read out?  Also quite a stupid question, with beneath a steel sky and day of the tentacle, how does one control the games if they are mouse controlled?  Move the mouse around until something is spoken?Thanks, very excited to try this!

Great, thanks.  On the free version, even though I disabled ascii, NVDA still reads some random letters/symbols/numbers when you choose a menu choice after pressing enter.  It's not really a big deal but is it happening to anyone else and if so is it perhaps fixed in the comercial version?Thanks

Absolutely loving endless mode.  A few suggestions.  Consider removing lives from the items you can collect since how I understand it, they don't mean anything in endless mode.  I also had a huge amount of inventory from the normal game that was lost do to the bug mentioned above but I'll just play the game again to get it back since It's been a while.Thanks again for such a fun pick up and play game.

Sounds like a very nice game, am definitely interested.  Can't seem to get in to the game though.  After launching it, I hear the logo music, what sounds like menu music and nothing else.  When I press a key like enter, the music stops playing and I hear no voices etc.  I alt tab out of the game and when tabbing back in, it crashes.  I am running a windows 7 machine.Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Spoiler question regarding tutorial level 4Is there a way to get the golden throwing knife in the last section located at 60 0? I've used the camera with the G key to look around for platforms etc, just can't find a way down to the lower area.  I so far am up to stage 2-1 and have the club and both swords. Would like to get a long range weapon for the lamps.  Am using the English translation.This is a pretty spectacular game, am really glad the translation is being worked on.Thanks

Spoiler ahead!**Finally got her!  Wasted a life and used up all my arrwos but figured out if you jump almost all the way to the left or right of the map, you can get 3 arrow shots in before you have to try to jump over her again.  Might get hit a few times though so be careful!  Health was almost down to 0 and ran out of arrows so jumped an knifed her and that was that.  Pretty intense stuff!**

Spoiler question ahead!**Any tips for Morganna after cauldron on normal?  Feel like I shot her with tons of arrows jumping and moving constantly and strategically trying to use the 3 angel breaths I have.  Can't really knife her because she gets you before you get her.  Sword is definitely the way not to go since she can not only hit you from a reasonable distance but is quick.**Thanks for any assistance.

A suggestion for a future update.  For those that finish the game, as well as infinit mode, what about adding a super weapon of some kind that can attack both in front of, behind and above in order to easily destroy all enemies?  Just a little fun for the player so that they can run through levels, invincibly destroying whatever is in their path.

So still havent defeated ruined gardian yet but havent played in a while. I think I will leave the sanctuary and try to get some coins to upgrade everyone a little more and get some more spell damage. Anyone recommend a good place to get easy coins? I was thinking ghostly chamber because the ripped spirits seem easy to defeat and give 1000 and 2000 for gabriel of course.Thanks

@chris: I may have mentioned this before but what about having a system where the wall will gradually get weaker the better you do at the scroll, regardless if it is perfect or not? That way, it may still take you 20 tries but the wall will eventually break. If you only get a few beeps, then maybe only 0.5-1 percent of the wall will crumble but the more you get the more percent will go down. If you do get a perfect though, then the entire thing will go no matter how much or how little youve destroyed up to that point.

Absolutely love the quiet atmosphere.I am curious about plasma rifle upgrades though. I bought about 19 before facing the first enemy and it still took 10 shots to kill. Will the basic enemies always take that much and the upgrades matter for later enemies only or are some of the upgrades not implemented yet since I understand this is still in beta?Thanks for a great game.

Spoilers again regarding post gameSo I decided to enter the ruins although I have a copied save around just in case I missed something before the ruins. Found the ghostly chamber probably by accident since the ruins are incredibly confusing to me so far. Made it to floor 3 and as Jayde said in a previous post, the scroll walls are definitely a pain in the neck! Got to the second one and just cant get it! I sort of like that it progresses from slow to fast but those last couple are what gets me. Perhaps a change can have the walls take damage and slowly weaken the more you atempt them, depending on how far you get with their scroll. That way they can still take a while to get through and the player can progress with out getting super frustrated.@Jayde I agree with you about the Over-reliance of hand ear cordination. Not everyone can have the split second accuracy and reflexes that this game is calling for and this fact may
  turn off many gamers. I am really torn between feeling this is an excelent take on a J-RPG for the blind and one of the most unbalanced/unfair/frustrating games Ive ever played, audio or otherwise.

Regarding post gameIs there a stat shop anywhere at all? I really want to upgrade and kelly/stella have about 10 coins each. Wandered around, found jeffs memorial and defeated the bosses there. Guess will keep wandering hoping to find other places or maybe go back to ghostly chamber and try the stupid walls again.

So finally beat pierre and got an ending although not sure if it had the extra treasures cut sceen in it but I do have 23.Spoilers regarding pierre, ending and post gamePierre was pretty tough but I developed what I think is a decent strategy. First, I used aura master with ross and withdrawed him. I know it didnt do much damage but every little bit helps. I withdrawed everyone else but for Kelly and Simon and along the way damaged him with some scrolls I had down such as heavens winds with gabriel if they were asked for. I stuck with death dimension and eternal vortex using simon to defend all other turns, he had 300 defense so only took 8 damage.The ending included simons pod exploding and ross meeting stella in the beyond. Was that suppose to be the hidden sceen?I went back to the organ room and defeated the analytics manager. Went back to heaven and rescued stella. Am I now ready to go to wing one t
 o start post game, do I have more post game content to unlock or do I have to start over because I missed something?

@jaybird My understanding is you can use any scroll you want during the first turn but that character will get poisoned of course so thats why I used ross to do just a tiny bit of damage and withdrew him right away.

@Jayde Regarding my post from a few days ago, I was just wondering where the employee card was.Spoiler regarding treasures and dustWhere is the unknown pendant and cell phone? As far as I know after those I will have all treasures since I currently have 21. I also have 33 dusts so hopefully wont have a problem getting the rest. I am currently in the halfling destruction movement HQ fighting the assassins for key fragments. Everyone is at level 100 accept for gabriel/simon but they are getting there. Speaking of levels, if someone is at 100, does anyone know if the experience they get from there on if they are in the lead still goes to them and does nothing or gets distributed to everyone accept for them? Hope that question makes sense.

Questions regarding StellaSo Im at pierre after defeating virus crual claw. I read in earlier posts about stella and going back to heaven by having gabriel play the organ, is she an optional party member instead of joining as part of the storyline? I would assume you go to stellas house after returning to heaven? I guess Ill do that after the pierre fight since it looks like she would be of no use against him. I also have all treasures and dusts, 23/36 respectively so looking forward to the post game. Everyone is also at level 100, starting pierre with kellys death dimention gives 1000 damage or so, she has been awesome with some previous bosses totally destroying them.

Spoiler regarding virusLooking for the employee key card. Ross or someone in the party says wonder if someone could help us? So who am I looking for? Went to the hidden florr but no one seems to be there, figure to look for simon maybe but where?Everyone is almost at level 100, figured I should take the time to do so. Stella battle, kellies second dream and protector battle in the holding area were actually fun. Still slightly challenging but had plenty of health so plenty of times to fail a scroll and practice. Love death dimension and toxic storm, wish there was a spell combining both, damage of death with just a little more poison damage.

@Trajectory Thanks for trying it out. I was actually going to level up gabriel next because I ended up getting to his fight yesterday and discovering how bad he was. Hopefully I will be able to do the sequence a few times to get a large amount of experience and might not have to use the level up urbs although I am tempted. I have I think 10 or 11 now.

Spoilers/comments aheadWell, I think Im oficially frustrated. I am stuck at the tower of truth sequence and here are my characters stats.Ross: 35 impact, 170 strength/defense, level 85.Kelly: 14 impact, 231 strength, 45 defense, level 77.Cesel: 22 impact, 207 strength, 138 defense, level 69.Gabriel: 18 impact, 71 strength, 72 defense, level 65Shawna: 13 impact, 195 strength/defense, level 65.Lucy: 20 impact, 38 strength, 195 defense, level 65.I understand my stats are all over the map accept for ross/shawna. I spent most if not all of the game until now leveling up ross including finishing tower of fear floor 2 with him. I did this because I figured like some j-rpgs, the main character would eventually become a decently balanced character for all situations, looks like I might have been wrong.More on tower of truth sequence. Does your characters current level perhaps factor 
 in to when they are CPU controlled? For example, ross I am sure is overleveled for this area of the game. I know I have to work on upgrading everyone else but is that high leveled ross now being CPU controlled? I understand when games have you fight your own party, the CPU is usually challenging but they have lowered stats to what their actual level is at the time. Also, complete game over if you are defeated? I dont really consider this a boss but more of god or the god like force testing your characters out. With that being said, perhaps when you die, the voice can say something like You must care for your friends more to discover the truth and return you to the entrance of gods palace or the tower itself. I reload before I die but maybe I should go and explore the ship for a while.I wanted to try to get everyone up to at least level 100 but if I keep doing so, I am worried
  ross will just get harder. Are there any other times further on where you will fight your companions?I know this is suppose to be considered an RPG but I would perhaps change that to puzzle/rpg especially because of the dragon scrolls and some of the puzzle like battles. I also unfortunately cannot recommend this to beginning audio gamers at this time. The demo perhaps but not beyond it mostly because of the scroll timing and other aspects that dont match with traditional J-RPGS. If veteran gamers are frustrated, I would think a new gamer would be 10 times as much.I am 100% still writing my walkthrough because this is still a great game and even if someone is reading a step by step guide, they will still have what might be an enjoyable challenge with scrolls and other things.

@jayde: I didnt mean puzzle as in a text adventure or point and click adventure. The puzzle elements to me are the trial and error of the various boss battles as well as the mazes in the sense that you have to explore and actually solve something instead of being lead down a linear path.I may consider starting over and being careful about my levels this time. Id like to start the walkthrough soon anyway since the document already has game mechanics, controls, items etc. I can then write the walkthrough and enemy info as I encounter them.

@Jayde again: Youre right about being ready for various surprises. Guess I was thinking final fantasy 2 (US version) where if you are leveled enough you can mostly destroy whatever is in your way with plenty of defense to try whatever attacks/spells you wish if certain battle conditions are called for. I planned on powering up and enjoying the exploration/story, finding items etc. I was able to do so until tower of truth.@Trajectory My stats got that way through grinding, grinding, grinding and grinding some more! Its one part of this game I absolutely love to do although invincibility would be nice for the walkthrough. We need a game genie for the pc!

@jayde I owned a super nintendo along with final fantasy 2 and the simpler final fantasy mystic quest. I had friends that enjoyed such games so theyd read the text and man the controls while I helped make the decisions. We finished both games and got a decent way through final fantasy 3 before high school took over. The 8 and 16 bit era truly was the golden age of gaming. A meriad of fighting games, some of the greatest music ever (super nes sound chip was way ahead of its time) and the anticipation you could only get while on the way home with your buddies from buying/renting the latest street fighter or mortal kombat.

Bugs I found: include spoilersI cant find my way through the tower of truth do to teleporter confusion so I went back to clear out the second floor of the tower of fear. From what I understand, the shadows of death are not randomized and disappear as you defeat them. Had most of it cleared out and ross up to level 68 when the game froze after a battle finished on the enemy defeated screen. Eventually the game continued, I didnt save with a save crystal and 3 or so minutes after that the game stopped responding and I had to close it, thus losing all my progress. I am using the VW kate voice that gets installed with kurzweil 1000 because of its decent quality. Its sometimes a little slow in responding after pressing a key so I am wondering if this is what froze up the game. I am running on a windows xp pro machine with 3gb of ram. This happened once before but I was able to save and close, things seemed to work 
 fine after that. I will start using a different voice, probably MS mary. Are there any other decent free sapi 5 voices out there? I have eloquence installed but it only works with SAPI 4. I understand that NVDA support is ongoing but jaws support would be great if possible.Another bug that has happened twice now concerns the keyboard. I have jaws in sleep mode when the game is running and after a while of alt tabbing between the game and other programs, the control key seems to get stuck in the down position. Most keys in game still seem to work but the alt key for spells does not. Exiting the game through the menu and restarting fixes the problem.Any ideas on the truth transporters? Found the switches that someone mentioned earlier.

Alright, hopefully I am ready to kick some buttSpoiler spoiler/commentsFinished the second floor of tower of fear and now have ross up to level 68 with 740 health, 136 strength/defense and 30 impact. Pretty nice rewards for finishing, definitely worth doing so. Still stuck on the tower of truth. Found my way to the room with one switch and to the second floor with two. The teleporter on floor 2 just teleports you back to the stairs. I am probably missing a teleporter on floor 1 but cant find it for the life of me. I think there are 2 on the south side once you enter the tower and a bunch in the middle/north side, what the heck am I missing?Thanks

Speaking of grindingI started over in order to find as many hidden items as possible as I missed them the first time through. I stopped ross at level 20 before finishing his dream. I am now getting kelly leveled up and will probably stop her at 20 as well just to keep everyone around the same levels.

A quick tip regarding savingI was almost done leveling up kelly to 20 in her dream when I accidentally bumped the f12 key, sending me back to the main menu. I saved back at level 17 so lost a good half an hour of progress.

SpoilerThere is a healing area in kellys dream, the save point to the left of where you start and/or in that area. Ive been wandering between there and the planet core leveling her up, upgrading defense and healing at the save point when needed.

Finished the demo and enjoyed it for the most part. I am starting to get the hang of the scroll timing but I still agree with what others have said. You can always scrap the whole quick time event thing and go for traditional magic points. Perhaps a spell can be done where you hear a sound rising in pitch and you have to press a key at a certain time, sort of like jim kitchens golf game. The closer you are, the more damage you do. Perhaps they can regenerate when you defend, slowly over time and/or with magic potions, j-rpgs have had many ways of working with magic points. I understand where you are going with the system you have though.I also agree that we need item use in battle since that seems to be the way things are done with a turn based battle system. Characters should be able to heal etc. I wont spoil it here but I remember a super nintendo game where you can cast a cure potion at an enemy and have it do tons of 
 damage, obviously it was something the player had to figure out and not hinted at in the game etc. I find it odd that your entire party isnt included in a battle but only the character you have selected in the non battle menu is. Unless this is changed further in the game, traditionally all characters take their turn even if you are only facing one enemy.I also get the no footsteps thing since all the games I can think of at least in the 8 and 16 bit era didnt have them. If I remember right, final fantasy 8 was one of the first. I stopped playing console rpgs after final fantasy 10.Responding to the poster who mentioned the turning in console rpgs. Ive thought of the arrows as compass directions from the beginning, so Ive always imagined my character facing those directions as I move. That is also how I imagined console rpgs. I have been blind since birth but in playing with friends, Ive always imagi
 ned me looking down at the character from above so therefore they moved in the traditional 4 directions. I hope I am making sense here.Will probably be buying soon. Mainly because I love that we finally have a game where we can wander around a dungeon and grind! I know I probably sound crazy here because I remember how annoying it was in final fantasy 2! Ended up using game genie codes eventually but thats another story for another day! Off to grind I go!

I am very impressed! I hope I dont sound like Im complaining here but I noticed a pretty big issue in the asteroid dodging sequence. First, I dont really understand how its suppose to work. I get the up and down, holding them for increasing/decreasing speed but holding/pressing left/right doesnt seem to do anything. I hear the beep sound increasing and coming closer but no matter if I go left or right, I still die. Also after dying for the first time, the sounds stop playing and all you hear is the speech saying you died again and again and again.I am definitely enjoying what youve done so far though and would 100% purchase such a game. I could see this being expanded and having at least 5/6 hours of gameplay with exploring various planets/areas of planets etc which I assume is what you are going for.Thanks again.

Im quite impressed with the demo. I havent read all the earlier posts so perhaps someone has mentioned this already. I think some of the locations are way too big, such as the cafe. I could understand the size if they end up turning in to dungeons later, however if not, there is just a lot of empty space that I think can be sized down. In the dungeons I assume the battles are random and never ending or is there a limited number of enemies in each one?I also agree with the timing thing, I am getting quite frustrated. I would suggest perhaps using the current timing for hard mode and making it a little easier on normal.Good work so far though.

Disabling language switching in jaws reads most of the page including price correctly, it is $27.00 US. Wonder if it will ever go on sale? If I remember correctly, there was a short sale for the first adventure game which is why I bought it, at least for IOS. I think I payed full price for pc version but cant remember. I enjoyed the pc version a little better control wise.
