This is pretty cool so far  Unfortunately the translate addon linked in the thread doesn't seem to work for latest NVDA snapshots, likely due to the API changes that are coming that haven't been addressed yet. I got as far as creating an account and starting the tutorial though using InstantTranslate.Quick question, is there a way to also send dialog / tutorial messages to the clipboard? the autoTo.ini seems to work great for menu options, but when characters say words to you that part doesn't seem to get translated unless I'm doing something wrong?Zersiax

Hi,Ok, so ...some constructive feedback.This is already a really good start in my opinion. There's music, ambiences, sounds for various things, but I think we can do better.- First, I'd say that rather than toggling a single sound off and on, it'd be better to categorize them so people can choose to toggle all music, all ambience, all combat sounds etc.- Depending on how much time and effort you want to stick into this, you could make the soundpack more immersive by adding individual sounds for skills. That way, you can gag the lines of text that skill output and have it replaced by the sound, either completely or partially.- Right now, the soundpack is over a gigabyte, even though there is only 153 sounds in it. That is because all sounds, including long-lasting ones like songs and ambiences, are in .wav-format which in this case I would call a bit of a waste of disk space. While it is true that compressing the audio would make them lossy, a high enough bitrate for these mp3's or ogg files should be more than sufficient for game sounds like this. I do not know the limits of MSP, but I do know mush is about to work with these formats and other packs, like the yugioh soundpack over at https://github.com/timtam/yugioh-soundpack which, although slightly non-standard, does manage this.- When you do things like ambiences, music etc., like someone here already pointed out, it feels a bit more natural when these ambiences and music follow the area or roomtype you're in. If you can hear crickets while you're in a cave that is a bit odd.I'd say keep up the good work, see if you can incorporate any of this going forward Zersiax

Ok, let me disclaim this entire post by stating that I work on Starmourn as a coder. I am not being paid to write this post, but I do want to make that affiliation known before people assume I'm marketing or whatever.While IRE games are traditionally pretty pay-to-win-ish, Starmourn , at present at least, has quite a bit less of that going on.While there is certainly PVP combat, and your combat does get better when you learn new abilities, which takes lessons, which you can buy, there are quite a few more things to do. You can definitely build up a strong character in a lot of ways without spending a dime, although paying supports the game and allows for new stuff to get added way quicker.There's pretty regular RP events, as well as things like hacking, commerce, spaceship combat, trade skills etc outside of PVP combat which is all quite doable, and the game does not actually have a paywall, you can play for free just fine, although most players do tend to at least buy a thing or two to support the game's creators if nothing else. Paying mostly gets you credits which you can either convert into lessons or use to buy promo items like cute pets, fancy interactive items and such. To my knowledge you can't actually buy better combat gear or the like, but I might be wrong on that, I never looked into it.It's true that some things aren't accessible at present, though. Most things are, but ship combat is hard right now. We're working on that, and I will certainly announce it when we have more to say on that topic.I absolutely agree that pay-to-win games are no fun, but like another post pointed out, I do get why MUDs almost have to do things like this in order to stay afloat. Heck, Alter Aeon has credits you can buy for extra practices and such as well. Building games like this is hard, maintaining them is hard and expanding them is hard. I've paid for MUDs in the past and probably will again for the same reason I pay for audiogames. Even if I think a game's price might be a bit much, if it means the developer can keep making games, I consider it more of  a donation than anything else when I get their game. Given that MUDs give me many, many more hours of fun than any audiogame ever has, I don't mind shelling out a couple bucks on hem now and again. Lol I've played Avalon: the Legend Lives and even been subscribed to it for a while. Want a pay-to-win game with a paywall? Go give that one a try :-)

@78 what I did was make sure you have type synergy , so ...if you make sure you have at least two manamon that have fire moves that may not necessarily be the same type, you can hit him more than once each round. To be fair, I used an absolute crap ton of healing items for that battle, though, and I still only barely won.

For some reason I am having a hard time getting past the tutorial of the first minigame and when I skip the tutorial, I only get about 25 points so I think I am missing something, but is that part optional?And if it is, just how do you progress from there?I've already found the guy in the hills, I've seen the pianist in the cafe, south, east and north sections are open to me but nothing of all that seems to have any way to continue the plot. Hmm ...the volcano at the east of the map? You mean to the east of the second town where the bandits are?I see red lizards and fire crows but they don't at all drop fire spirits, just red lizard skins for the lizard and nothing for the ...raven or crow.As for English, you don't need to upload the helpfiles, you can just read them in notepad++ or so with the translate addon enabled. Easier that way.

You will want to run the game with Locale Emulator and you really, really need to figure out a way to get translations. If you did, you would've easily figured out that that first window has a menubar of sorts , alt+h opens one menu of that menubar and just alt opens another.In that first menu, that comes up when you just press alt, there's a login option and right below it is a register option.The translate addon here seems to work best right now:https://github.com/yplassiard/nvda-translate

Hi,I am a little stuck. I am level 12 -- also screw that quest to get to level 10 with a rusty fork -- and now I have to do the quest concerning the mountain.spoilersI talked to the woman in the house to get the quest and went around the mountain but I can't seem to progress. WHat I found:- Going all the way up the mountain gets you up to the cloud platform where you can reach the Millenium Wolf, which seems to be level 50 so I doubt thats where I need to go. On the second floor, there is what I think is some kind of instance area, but I can't access it unless I'm in a team? Did I read that right? I can't solo that part?- There's a mining area as well and when I mine, I sometimes see "original stone x1", but I never actually see those stones show up in my inventory. I can't use the strenghthen option in the equipment item menu either so not sure what is happening there.- Going the other way and downwards towards the "pirates' pretty much just get you one-shotted.- Going left across the sacrificial platform ran me into a dead end as well although I can't quite remember what it was now.Where do I go to find this woman's daughter? xdZersiax

Try running it from your regular user folder, and make sure the folder it is in doesn't have chinese characters in it.

I am running out of money and the only way I can find to get it without danger of dying is to kill dogs and sell their fangs.Also, when I try to sell equipment it asks me to enter something but i'm not quite sure what. it seems to refer to the half price of the item, but that doesn't work?

Right. But if I talk to some of the folks that quest lists, it just gives me the same responses it always gives me. So do I "talk to" someone in particular? For example the guy on the square you kill for the chief still says I should match myself with him.As for installing the game, just unzip the package to a directory without spaces and without unicode chars, I put it in my user folder \ WOC. Rename the folder to a non-unicode no-spaces folder and run the I believe first executable in that folder. Go through the installation wizard by llooking at the letters at the end of the garbled phrases, i.e. a is the "I acept the agreement" radiobutton, n for next , i for install etc. Make sure you again, install in a non-unicode, no-spaces folder. Not sure if that is required but better safe than sorry.At this point you can run the game, but it will send garbled stuff at you. Using LocaleEmulator and creating an application profile to run worldclient.exe with chinese locale and default settings fixes this. Before you do anything else each time you load the game, do alt+h and change the voice engine to SAPi , for if you run a lot of commands right after another you'll get an audio captcha.At this point you can use the NVDA Translate addon to read the txt files in the folder and follow them to make an account or login.Zersiax

I actually really kinda like this. I got as far as level 4 and a half before getting a little stuck.SlightspoilerI am having a bit of trouble understanding the two branchLine quests I have access to. I can go after wolves, but it says a number of conversations haven't been completed yet. Yet when I talk to the people indicated, there's no option to start that quest. Where does it originate?And the other branchline for the healer apprentice , I'm not quite sure where to find the tree essence or wood essence he wants? I go around the grasslands near the first town but I encounter grass and flower demons there, are those the right enemies?

I would really llove to know how some of you play Prism I manage to get as far as the first bit where the music stops, I think an avalanche or cave-in of some kind  happens, and after that my pathfinder tells me about a pokemon center that doesn't actually seem to be there, everything I tallk to says I need a pick to mine things and the guy I am actuallly supposed to talk to (i've seen him in a video of someone playing) I can't find anywhere. Oh wow ...so it turned out it was actually the numlock after all :-OThis laptop doesn't even have a number pad, so for as far as I know it doesn't have a numlock button either. I must be wrong though since when I used Sharpkeys to temporarily change my printScreen key to a Numlock key and pressed it, it did toggle it off. And that state seems to be remembered through reboots so ...yeah, no idea but things work a lot better now :-)As for adapting the scripts, honestly crystal anniversary is already quite playable with them. You don't hear what buildings are there, just warp1, warrp2 etc. but with a bit of exploration it's easy enough to figure out just what those warps mean :-)Now as for Prism ...yeah ... that is a whole different story. The paths it gives you for getting places often just doesn't work and at times it tells you about things that really aren't even there, which makes the game pretty much unplayable since the maps really aren't very easy to navigate. Which is a shame, because it seems a lot of creativity was put into the game.Happily playing Crystal Anniversary right now myself and that works quite well :-)I don't know about Crystal Clear, for as far as I know that, as well as Crystal Kaizo, generally sticks to the regular Crysstal quite a bit more closely so most things should just work, right?Do any of you know where to find that teamRocket Prepare for Trouble IPS? I can't seem to f ind it anywhere and it seems like it would be fun to play but i hear it was very unfinished still :-)Zersiax

Hi,Sadly I am one of the people who seems to have trouble with Crystal Access on Windows 10. I've tried a bunch of things already, changing VBARecording branches, findingalternate ROMs and everything but no matter what I do, the only thing that actually works is the text of the game echoing back. None of my hotkeys work, not the t key to read the screen, the m key to read the map title etc etc.The most annoying bit is that the pathfinder doesn't work ... that makes it quite a bit trickier to get around, especially in something like Anniversary Edition where you don't seem to start in Johto and I'm not as familiar with the Kanto maps. Has anyone figured out a way to fix this?Zersiax

Sorting by level wouldn't really do much for you, sorting by archetype or attribute might make more sense. Until then though, its easy enough to go through the yugioh wiki to find combinations that work well

I was going to pretty much say what Sevrior said, but he beat me to it Generally I tend to keep my deck size around 45-ish. And if I want to duel I just send the person I want to challenge a message by using / or + followed by the name of the player.As for spelling a nickname, what you do is hit ctrl+tab, that gives you a notepad like window of all the MUD's output, you can just use your arrow keys in there. Once you are done you hit that combination again and off you go

Were you Solomon? I think I saw someone trying to get in and disappearing right after a couple times. I sent them a message but must've gotten disconnected right before you could receive it ...That is a very strange problem you are describing. For as far as I can tell, you are doing it right. You start the client, you get no sound which is normal.Then, the connection is being established, this may take a second or two. If thats not happening and you have to do that manually that already points out there's something strange going on.You press enter which denotes you are using telnet, its not really important what that means, its a technobabble thing, but its the right thing.You give your nickname, which is correct. And then you end up in the chat room with your nickname and you can use -duel to go to the dueling area. But at that point you apparently get disconnected.If you are the person I'm thinking of though, you actually lose the con
 nection on your end, not on the end of the server. You essentially go linkdead.Have you tried from another computer or another network? I'm wondering if a firewall of some kind is bullying you...Zersiax

zk, what are you doing and what happens when you do it?  If you download the mushclient package from the first post , extract it and just run the mushclient.exe you should be good to go. Press enter when it says ok for telnet or something to that effect

You can click on your opponent's name to see the battle log.  Combat is automatic, but governed by what actions you put in what slots. its not super exciting I guess but its better than only being able to do one move I suppose.

Hi,For people having trouble setting up a server, there's a few gotchas. I managed it yesterday after some tinkering:- Port 2500 is used to CP servers, all modes. This is a UDP (not TCP) type connection, for as far as I've been able to ascertain.- - Please keep in mind there's usually two firewalls to bypass. One is the firewall on your router, one is the firewall on your computer which is usually Windows Firewall.  Windows XP and Windows 7 will alert you the first time this server goes up and allow you to accept the connection through the firewall, in Windows 8 and up this process has been made more secure, making you have to manually allow it through in the firewall settings. I forced it by allowing a UDP port 2500 connection from any domain in the Advanced Firewall Settings, but I think just allowing Crazy Party through the firewall in the regular settings should work as well.As for your router, this depends on your router. All
  routers forward ports slightly differently but the process usually involves going to the fierwall, port forwarding or NAT settings on your router, allowing UDP port 2500 through and forward the port to your computer's ip. You can get this IP by typing ipconfig in a commandline window and finding the default ip v4 address of either your ehternet or wireless connection, it takes the form of 192.168.xx.xx in most cases, where xx are a sequence of 1, 2 or 3 digits.Not sure if and how Hamachi will work with this to make it a bit easier.A final thingr to note that due to the fact UDP doesn't send a rsponse back, port checkers on the web will not be able to tell you if the port is actually forwarded. Quickest way to test is actually to have people try to connect.Hope that helps
