But afaik that kinda collapsed, so TTS Profiles probably would need to be set by the user reading, rather than the user writing, and who's going to bother with that? Still, though. Sighted people get avatars floating beside their text. Audio-wise, the options are either unique voices, or some background sound that plays while reading the message, and the latter would be hard to keep from getting obnoxious. Remember folkes, we are talking about people who don't have good internet access and probably not even a smartphone. Some of them still use that old feature phone which doesn't even has a camera. Personal bios can be longer, names have to be under five seconds, people's profile pages can have personalised ambiences. Integration with the games isn't ironed out yet, but sharing scores, adding Sounds of Eden 3D ambiences to profiles, that sort of thing. Agreed that tagging and filters is a must, we're thinking we'd need a speech-to-text system to help categorize posts without people having the categorize them themselves. I, for one, don't like most music, and find posts of audio that's only some one holding their microphone up to a cheap speaker playing music pointless. Klango also had an open media catalog, so in turn was a great podcatcher and internet radio-streamer. There were also voice forums.Your social media timeline approach sounds good, though I would also couple it with forums if people would prefer more organized discussion. I assume an api for games to communicate with this would be in the cards as well?As an example, back in 2000 there was a turn-based game called accessible starfight, essentially a cross between Space-Invaders and Battleship, with online capability. The way to start an online game was through a program called Accessible Chat. Maybe, in a way similar to iMessage, there can be a games button next to the chat box that allows you to look at a list of integrated games and send an invite for one to the person you are chatting with. You could also see what games they've got tied to their account, so that the system does not attempt to start a game the receiving user might not have. Additionally, users could join public forum topics. The service also included self-voicing audio games and other tools such as a YouTube video watcher. That being said, I don't see an issue if it's for game integrations as you said, although how that would work I'm not sure.
