Re: BrailleBack Now
Hi,So I've tested out BrailleBack, and note, my device is still on Android 10. Now here's my question: Are there any more commands than the 17 showed in the keyboard help screen? If not... Off. They have a ways to go.Is there a comprehensive list of keystrokes? Cuz
Re: BrailleBack Now
@28 I do how ever do like a seprate volume level for TB and it works quite nice specially when playing back audio, and or other media types.

Re: BrailleBack Now
Please don't give the argument you can fix it yourself, just don't. First, I don't receive any kind of compensation to do it, and let's face it, people who can fix source code of an Android app probably work on a full time job anyway and don't have a reason to fix
Re: BrailleBack Now
@28 firstly, allow me to say, it's good to see someone not bashing Android just because they either tried it a long time ago or never. I use Braille, but not a lot, I mean, I have a little hearing loss in my right ear, but not enough to justify speech not being

Re: BrailleBack Now
Okay, you want more than just the simple explanation of it being crap? I'll explain to you then, since I've *used* Braille Back. I've wanted to *love* Android. I spent close to a year with Android, so stop assuming crap!First, the supported devices. Imagine this. You're
Re: BrailleBack Now
Comes from everywhere. How do you navigate by buttons, checkboxes, form elements? Oh yeah, Talkback is the inovative screen reader that groups everything under one element called controls. How do you navigate a table by row and column? You don't, because Talkback does
Re: BrailleBack Now
Can someone please tell me where this argument of Talk Back having shitty web support comes from? I have never seen that. VA on the other hand though...

And yes. They have a pretty awesome chipset but the price is so high for the flagship and the mid-range phones battery can't last more than 6 hours

@21 I can get about 15 to 17 hours on screen time with no brake. Try doing that with an iPhone, and then come back here to challenge me on that.

in my opinion, android has big advances over iOS in certain arrias, I'm not going to go all over these because everyone who knows Android and iOS is familiar with them. But the lagging navigation of TB and VA, the non intuitive rotor settings and general beheaviour
Re: BrailleBack Now
Hi.at 19 your hole post speaks of no technical knolledge what so ever.Firstly, because of the differences in the android and iOS architectures, iOS doesn't need as many system resources as android. i think the latest iPhone has 4 to 6 gb of ram and if you look
Re: BrailleBack Now
And that's related to accessibility how? In my previous posts about Android, I clearly say that I hope this gets better one day as I like Android as a system a lot more than iOS, and enjoy the freedom of doing whatever you want. I can get the most powerful Android, it's
Re: BrailleBack Now
At least not all Android phones are extremely overpriced. I'm not getting 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM for like $1,100.. I could freaking get 512gb of storage for that price. There is the iPhone se 2020 which is not really any better. I don't know they put like a old
Re: BrailleBack Now
@15 now that post right there screams of factual information. And what exactly did you tell the OP about braille support on Android? That's right, nothing, because you most likely don't even use braille with your phone. If you did, you would know it's as basic
Re: BrailleBack Now
Dude I've been using Android ever since like 2012 and its accessibility is just over driving forward. if you don't try it and still say bulshit about it then get off of these topics. You're not giving valid arguments

Re: BrailleBack Now
@15 thanks for the post as I really don't like people who bash android with out using it for over a few months to a year. I have now had my android tablet for over a year and still runs like new. If I did have to buy the tablet after my iPad I had failed not even a year
Re: BrailleBack Now
@10 lol sorry man, I saw so many or your post really humiliate android, if you don't have something nice to say, then don't post, sorry btw, it's really annoyed me to see some peapol posting like this, where literally the op ask for a question and someone answer shit

I've been using an Android for around 2 years now. I stopped using Voice Assistant in favor of CSR for the past year and a half. I've not had 1 bad thing to say about Android what so ever. I really enjoy it.

Re: BrailleBack Now
I honestly don't know what to say to people who say Androidaccessibility is bad. If you don't try a modern Android version than you are ignorant about Android accessibility and you should never talk about it

Re: BrailleBack Now
@10 I can not see how you think android accessibility is crap. Have you tried android in the past 5 years? If not, please go try more modern android before basing android's accessibility off of stuff you tried ages ago. I used to do the same thing, but it is better now
Re: BrailleBack Now
Same as it always was, crap like the rest of Android accessibility. As I've always said, if the accessibility API's are crap, then what comes above them can't be much better. The OS is the *foundation* of all accessibility on that OS.

Re: BrailleBack Now
That's useful to know. However, can you perform CSR specific commands with it? If no, that's really basic and I would not say it works. If yes, then that's indeed great.
