Re: Continuous read in iOS with braille and no speech Interesting, been all through those -mands and haven't seen one to auto-advance. I'll look through them again. Thanks for the pointer. Re: Continuous read in iOS with braille and no speech
Re: Continuous read in iOS with braille and no speech Hello,I believe rather than activating continuous reading in this way, you have to assign a braille display command to start and stop auto advance, then it should follow the 5 seconds duration you configured. To do so, go to Voiceover settings, braille, your display, then more info. Then you should find braille commands. There you should be able to configure it. I have no tried doing this for a long time though, so it is possible this is now move to Voiceover settings, commands, but I think you'll be able to figure it out. Re: Continuous read in iOS with braille and no speech You're using the wrong command. Apple just added an auto advance feature to braille in iOS 14, which will be a separate command to read all. Check under the commands section for your display, it probably has a chord assigned to it by default but I'm not sure what it is. Continuous read in iOS with braille and no speech
Continuous read in iOS with braille and no speech Hey folks,Started using my Orbit Reader on iOS and had one significant issue I hoped to get some help with. I wanted to start reading braille rather than using speech, but if speech is muted and I activate read-all, it scrolls rapidly. As in, far too fast for anyone to read sanely. I checked the advance duration setting and it is set to 5 seconds which, while slow, is definitely not what I see with speech off.Is this a known iOS issue? Is it not possible to auto-advance reading braille when speech is muted? I hope this can be gotten to work, since hearing speech while I'm trying to read is distracting.Thanks.
