Re: Eurofly Version 2.0 now available Remember the get to know Africa pack?It actually has a critical problem.When I got to task 49, the access violation error shows up.However, I think I know what's causing it.Look at this filename49 C Εte d'Ivoire.etfI don't think this should be displayed like that and this is why the error persists.So I think the system locale should be set to the correct language in order to be able to pass the task.I did some research and found out that task was supposed to take me to Ivory coast.However, the official french name of the country is a bit different than the one you saw above (refer for example to an article about Ivory Coast on vikipedia to see it).So, does anybody know what language should I set?Any help or tips will be appreciated and I'll be experimenting with this. If it tells you to rise and you are at say 11,000 you could drop all the way down to 100 and still crash. I also find it strange that air traffic control doesn't know you're about to crash into a plane that is after all their job. Re: Eurofly Version 2.0 now available @309 Thanks!I mostly used NVDA, but after I got JAWS 2019 I decided to see how it worked with eurofly.Oh, and a bug sort of thing I noticed.When doing long flights, you're probably not going to sit in front of the computer the entire time. You're going to get up and do other things while the flight is cruising, and if you're flying a category3 plane, it's even safer to do because you can turn on autopilot. Well, is it so safe, anyway? When you get a TCAS alert, your autopilot will ascend and descend just enough to not crash into the plane. If, however, and this is not an issue with descending, but when ascending, sometimes you'll get turbulence after the autopilot finished ascending, and that'll of course, drop you down. If this happens right before the plane flies by, you'll crash into it.This has happened to me multiple times, where I go to do something, and come back to find my plane crashed.Some solutions to this would be:Not having more than one event ongoing at a time. If a TCAS is going on, you wont be able to get a turbulence or a storm until the plane is past you.Having the autopilot ascend more than just enough to clear the plane. Make it ascend a little more in case something like this happens. For example Nail, I can never here if he says A3 or B3, when he wants you to go to a runway.I think Marshal, in the english ground control, and Silke in the German, is best, because they actually say: Alpha or Bravo before the runway number.It should be noted that on regular airport scans/radio talk, the runways are phonetically named/called out whenever a flight controller or ground control staff member contacts a pilot to use a runway.Not sure if it is like that all over the world, but most of the american and South African airlines I have scan access to, works like that.So the unclear people should probably be forced to speak in phonetics as well. If a plain should taxy to A3, they should be forced to state Alpha3, or if said plane should taxy to B3, it should be called out as Bravo3. It just makes it easier for those who, has either a hearing problem, or can't hear what the controler said if he or she just spoke the letter. Re: Eurofly Version 2.0 now available That emergency landing thing happens to me too, but only when I'm trying to land on water.I got an emergancy warning in an AirbusA300 over a large sea once, and thus, I just had to try landing there. I didn't know if it would work, but I just went for it. I was really nervous though as that was my first emergency landing. I descended to 100 meters as quickly as possible, set my frequency to 121,5, Slowed the plane Down to 30 over the current landingspeed and put Down my landinggear and activated flaps.At first I tryed pressing F1, but that didn't work so I just tryed landing. It said I landed successfully! I was super happy because I had just landed my first plane successfully on water! At least, I thought I had. As soon as I started slowing the plane Down, it crashed, and it said I had crashed into the earth. It was super weird.I mean, you hear about the lifejackets and about landing on water in the safety anounsment right? So why does it tell you about that if it isn't possible to land on water? Or did I do something wrong? Does it tell you about that only for the safety anounsment to be more realistic?Any help would be great! I have never come across an emergency landing, so not sure if it helps.descend to 100, slow the plane to 20 over the current landing speed. get landing clearance from the tower, activate flaps and gear, adjust speed to current landing speed, angle nose to -10. When I get to the runway, they say to contact the tower for clearance, so I switch back over, and f1 does not give any response. I have tried all sorts of things to get it to work, but nothing seems to make the tower talkative. If I take off anyway, the report says wrong runway. But little storms are only the stuerdess saying that we're entering a stormy area, and I never hear the beeping, and I never crash. I don't have to do anything. I tried this and found it very useful because it provides some extra info like the total flight distance ETC. However, I have not found out how to tell Eurofly that I want to land at one of those airports. Re: Eurofly Version 2.0 now available Hi Daniel,Unfortunately the navigation system doesn't allow you to set layovers, the system is designed just to make your route, your flight plan.For example, if you're flying from England to Spain, and during your flight you want to fly over France as well, you add Paris, Tolouse or any other city from france between your starting point and your destination.So, that's why the tower doesn't announce you that you're at your destination, because you aren't, only the last item from the list counts as your destination point. The rest are just places which you cross over. In any case, you have to take that into account when calculating your landing speed. Re: Eurofly Version 2.0 now available So I think I have a problem. Every time I go to land I check the current landing airspeed, and adjust my speed to that. I assume the current landing airspeed is the one I want since it takes into account passengers and fuel level. Anyways on my last flight it was 156. So I made sure I was at that speed, decended to 100 contacted the tower, they gave it the all clear, then I put my landing gear down, then adjusted my flaps and nose, but every time I get a crash followed by the message I had to low airspeed. any help would be great.
