Re: Free accessible Spyware remover?

Hi, free anti-malware programs can't help fix malware threats effectively. Anti-malware programs such as Malwarebytes has the free version; however, in my opinion, the paid version work more effectively in detecting and removing threats. I have ever used the following tools and I think Malwarebytes is the best one:NOD32 Online Scanner Microsoft Safety Scanner Malwarebytes - http://guides.uufix.com/Malwarebytes_Download.php

Hi.Thanks so much defender in post 8.I generelly wanna pay if I find software worth it, but when working with other peoples computers and trying to fix things, that's not an option. So I'll try the Magafee stinger tool.

Re: Free accessible Spyware remover?

HiGod I really hope they do fix it in the next MB update I love that tool.I have an I3 330M 32NM 2.13ghz dual core 3mb l3 cash processor and 4gb of dual channel 533.3mhz ram running XPSP3 Professional 32bit on a Toshiba Satellite Pro U500 with a 5400 rpm 320GB Hatachi hard drive and a Toshiba JPTR1 motherboard, computer is about 7 years old and sucks but, avast didn't run correctly at all on it either, honestly an SSD or even hybrid would help allot, it seemed to be taxing the hell out of the drive, as well as what you said about processor and ram, I bet you'd need 6 or 8GB of 1600MHZ and a 2.5 I5 or I7 minimum to run the damn thing but really I can't be sure either way.Yeah Avira is sad, though Avast is still better so really both are sad, I love stinger because of it's simple layout, plus you can set it to some very high powered sifting, I'd even use it before Malware Bytes simply because it's getting rid of th
e most common stuff before anything else, though if I found something I wasn't sure of that Stinger caught I'd double check it with MB.I simply suggest MSES because it's better than nothing, it's accessible, and it's real time, also usually free antivirus testing labs rank MSES higher than that, because they aren't testing it in an enterprise environment, which it isn't meant for, and the major labs are. That isn't to say it's good, but really, it's tailored directly to the system it's on, so that in combination with the defender processes, firewall, and UAC isn't bad, just because having some real time is better than having none, more secure settings for even IE would help too.

Re: Free accessible Spyware remover?

HiUnfortunately, as has been pointed out several times and by several different sources, spybot Search and Destroy is an old, outdated program.Don't get me wrong, it was great in it's day which really wasn't that long ago, and  it will still sometimes catch something, but it simply does not have the updated huristics and detection protacalls that it needs to keep up with the second by second rapidly changing threats out there.Yes, the Malware Bytes UI has changed, everyone hates it including the sited users, who literally went on for 10 or more 1000 post pages about how much and why they hated it the week after it's release, it also happened to break accessibility, look almost exactly like a virus it's elf, one of the ones that acts like an antivirus program but that is actually a scam specifically, confuse everyone as to where things were that they used to use all the time, and generally pissed everyone off who loved
the tool and suggested it to their customers. They also switched from the awesome pricing skeem that set them apart to the crap one that everyone else uses, which was that Malware Bytes Pro, a very worthwhile upgrade, was a 1 time, pay for life program for a solid but very reasonable 25 dollars,, to the standard pay per year crap. Also the company was doing just fine money wise on that particular skeem as well, so it was obviously just greed and a complete misunderstanding of their own customers.Avira is pretty good, but it's really quite inaccessible at this point, AVG Free sucks quite a  bit and they often refuse to be tested by reputable labs for unknown reasons, a process that would undoubtedly get them allot of publicity if they actually had good results to show afterwards, and avast is great for people with allot of system resources to spare as it is a very ram, hard drive and processor intensive program that runs all the time, an
d is basically as hardcore as your gonna get for free short of building your own antivirus solution custom tailored to your system, and even that's questionable. Some vital parts of it are also still inaccessible if your going to get into the advanced parts of it, which with avast, is 99 percent of it advanced enough to confuse even most power users.Microsoft Security Essentials isn't a bad real time protection agent especially if you have windows 8 or 8.1, 7 isn't bad off, but XP is screwed on that front, and still Microsoft even admits it's not a full time virus solution and was never meant to be such, though as I said it's not bad.AVG internet security and AVG business actually aren't bad, but obviously they are not free, if you have an organization that backs you or are at a school or workplace that would install it for you if you made a good case for it or even just because you remind them that your on their network and ar

Free accessible Spyware remover?

Hi.Do you have any suggestions for any free and accessible spyware remover? I'm having issues on setting the checkmarc to remove the spyware and malware in Super antispyware, and for some weird reason, I can't read anything at all with the virtual cursor in NVDA in Malware bytes. That worked in the previous versions, so it seems as they have broken the accessibility, or it's just me who's doing something wrong. Any recommendations are welcome.
