I've tested all the released games thoroughly on multiple Windows 10 and Windows 7 machines and I have very few issues aside from one or two minor ones in Airik later in the game such as in the final level. Installers work perfectly and the download page opens automatically following a purchase, so I've done a pretty thorough job at making sure these work, however there are some system issues known to occur depending. Make sure you've installed the ogg vorbis codec included in any of the game's folders. This installer will ensure your computer can play ogg audio files.D3D issues or DirectX make sure you have the most recent version of Direct X. Microsoft offers this for free.Make sure you're not running a program like Avast, as it tends to clash with the game engine.Character stepping on their own? Be sure that you plugged your controller in prior to playing and that nothing's leaning on your thumb stick. Be sure that you're running the game on a Windows based operating system, either Vista, 7, 8 or 10. You will get unexpected issues when trying to run on emulated Windows from a Mac or when trying to run from a Mac or Linux machine. I don't claim Mac or Linux compatibility for these games. Well.As I said before till there is a recovery system in place, I guess if you say you have the games I can send the installers, but it aint my job.I only got my installers for 2 of my games 2 days ago and spent the dollars on the full pack.If you can't be bothered waiting then this is probably the way to go.I did send someone them before I read dark's message, but dark has ruled I can't and so I won't be doing that anymore.As for griff2 for now the d3d dll is dammaged copy things over and that will be ok from another game.As for what you are getting.I have not noticed a load of difference with the binaries we first got and the installers.Griff2 has a new mini monkey game with no shortcuts to it but its about.Griff2 had mangled sound as did 1.There are issues with 1 and 2 binaries crashing in the middle of levels and on griff1 old version as compaired to the newer version there are jumping issues fixed but there is nothing really new. It sounds like the developer is still up to his usual shenanigans, with tons of people complaining about sounds panning incorrectly, startup crashes or whatever. either he has not tested it on various system configurations, or the installation instructions are unclear since results seem to vary. I don't know why people are buying the games over and over again when they don't get the links they want, either. it's time to stop hoping and start seeing facts: this developer has not changed a bit.But really, why give this guy money at all? Would you go buy a flashy piece of tech if tons of people complained that it barely worked, if at all? I would not. I don't understand why you guys are motivating him to keep on doing this with his future games by paying him for shoddy untested code. It's time to stop blindly spending money; it's only condoning these deplorable practices. Your money talks, and it is right now telling all developers that they can get away with charging you for buggy games that barely work. I am sure that Gyro22 isn't really being malicious, but he is definitely not putting his software through the necessary quality control, and attention to detail is an expectation when it comes to audio games these days. No developer should be getting away with charging for unpolished merchandise, no matter how new they are. And this developer is not even anywhere near new, having been making software for us for over 5 years. It's time to complain and to show him that laziness won't pay. Because that's what the pattern is showing. Laziness all around. Cheap add-studded website. A word document containing links instead of a checkout system built-in. A hastily-built installer that confuses people and doesn't seem to even install the correct dependencies. Easily detectable bugs such as missing sounds and music that could be easily found by just running the game on a few varied computers. And i won't even get into the actual content of some of the games, though watching pG 13 play Grif and Grif 2 can give you some insight into that. Well.Good luck with getting all links.I was able to get 2 of my download links yesterday for griff1 and aeric but I never got griff2 or kurt which I had brought ages ago.So I decided to buy the entire pack again even though I had the games allready just so I could get the links.On getting the games griff1 has messed up panning and on griff2 while I hear just about every sound the panning is still semi messed up, as well as this the dx9 dll is corrupted so you will need to copy this from griff2 which I still have thank god I do.The monkey bonanza doesn't have a shortcut to it sadly and I had fundoodling with it but the portals never functioned at all and well.I have managed to play both games now.Now if you buy the games or are a user of the games I do have a backup of the links location which I could send to those that want installers in case they don't get them all.This shouldn't be the case really but who knows.I am not sure how good jiros database is, I remember I have steampunk, the clock addon pack, edge of winter, kurtwolf, airik and griffs 1 and 2.I recieved the test folder for edge of winter, aerik and griff1.I can't be bothered waiting for upgrades however saying that.It may not be worth it to people with the game.For griffs 1 and 2, the only reason I'd update at all is that there are a few instabilities in the game with v1, these are fully fixed.As I said, these games while still really good are not on my high priority list. I only buy them to get the upgrades which is really sad, but I now have the link to the file with the links in it and well lets hope things stay up for a bit.Some of the pits in griff2 do not voice to which is sad but oh well, at least messed up that it could be ariek and kurt work fine and at least its an update.It could be better but I'll take anything at this point.As for buying the games, I am no longer sure about edge of winter, the others could be quite fun, if I get into edge who knows. You really can't just have links out in the open like that, even if they don't expire. What if Dropbox, worst case scenario, shifts customer based and stops offering individual plans? I'm not just being extreme here, I've been screwed over by multiple cloud services *I'm pointing at you, Bitcasa* who have discontinued not only their free plan, but their paid plans as well, shifting focus towards business cloud deployment instead of individuals. Even if such a thing isn't likely to happen with Dropbox, there are still better options. I think you could really use a vps at this point. I would recommend vultr for an affordable, easy to use vps. You're on your own for server/website setup, but honestly that shouldn't be a problem and there are plenty of tutorials out there. Dns routing/no-ip domains are possible so you are able to easily direct people to a proper website hosted by your server. The pricing all depends on what you need. For example, 60gb storage, 4gb of ram, 2cpu's, and 3000gb bandwidth, all for $20 a month. Myself and several other people have bought the games no problem, and while the purchasing process could be refined, it certainly works, and if you buy the games you will get them. Yes, sometimes when you fall down a pit you hear a footstep sound which is a bit confusing, but if you hold the buttons while close up you should be okay. if your getting stuck, edge towards the pit slowly since it's quite easy to run off the edge, though you can take pits at a run once your used to how things work. hth. Ticky, you have to hit space press and hold till you hear a jump, then right and you jump.I must say though I do have the klite codec pack but not all sounds played nice, some ambiences were missed, all the enemies didn't pan, so something is wrong with it I suppose.It also crashes at start sometimes being not responsive.However with all that out the way, for what its worth, I can play through the entire game in about 45 minutes without it crashing and some of the enemies are really tricky to get like the snakes, still compaired to other games, I'll reserve my judgement. When you get the glide wing you hold for longer, just remember to jump when you hear the gravel and you should be okay.Also, make sure that you have run the OggDS0995.exe found in the Grif folder. Well.I just got my fully update griff1, and yeah in the old version I seemed to be able to jump the pits almost no issue, in this version though, its almost impossible, even if I make it over, I always fall in.I know part of that is meant to be that way but to be honest I do think there should be a bit more leaway when you jump, if the pit is to the left of centre when you jump and not in the centre then you technically can make it over.While I have my full aeric and griff, griff2 and curtwolf have not serfaced yet, I got the link to buy a game I allready had.Saying that, today is just not a gaming day at all as I have been semi sick all week and today I am going to have to break from headphones.As for the installers.I think jiro used clickteam, the installer runs well enough but not everything has an icon.I actually prefured the binary releases as they were.I was so happy I have still the old versions.Saying that if I get these, I get these.Edge of winter is interesting but I can't get the bridge to lower and I can't figure out the navigation system as such.But I may try later. If I hadn't pressed the "return to merchant" button after completing the paypal payment, i likely would not have got to the page containing the links, though of course it is entirely probable I'll recieve an automated email with them in from breakerbox later. Re: Happy Holidays and Game Updates! @Slj, I do appreciate the irritation, heck the fact that I never actually got to play the game I contributed voice acting for due to a promised fix for xp never materialising and the game dropping off the map before I got windows 10 was more than a little annoying, quite aside from the fact that I really wanted to play Breakerbox other games and couldn't. However, in general I have to agree with Death, Breakerbox are planely learning from the past and going forward. As I have worked on adding download links to the db, I can tell you that a lot of developers use Dropbox for permenant hosting, and looking at the way Paypal is setup with the payment option, it is plane that Breakerbox have a business account and can therefore process orders, both of which are very hopeful signs to me. So I'm for myself quite willing to give Breakerbox the bennifit of the doubt here, and indeed am very much looking forward to trying their games out. Click OK to close the application. ---OK ---My system specs are as follows: Windows 10 Pro 64-bitIntel Core i5-6500 CPU [ a-t ] 3.20GHz, 8.0GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 530v5.38.6357 (64-bit)As far as I know I have the appropriate direct x updates (I certainly have enough classic games from the xp days installed on here).Hope this isn't a major issue, I'll go and try the other games and report back if I run into similar problems.Edit: Okay I've tried the other games and confirm that Grif 2 is the only one with this issue, sort of amusing talk to myself in a game when I ran Airic (I'll show Mrs. Dark and see what she thinks). The installers all worked fine, accept that the one for Airic didn't actually install a shortcut to Airic.exe on the start menu, just to uninstall Airic. I would also suggest you add shortcuts in each start menu folder to read the manual, as I got a little stuck in Grif for not finding the instructions, and having the shortcut to the on the start menu would've helped since that was the first place I looked. The window wouldn't read with default settings I had to read it manually with nvda's screen review mode, I couldn't tab to any of the buttons much less click on them, and though the installer claims that the usual alt n for next and alt p for previous commands work, they did not.I could get to the buttons with nvda numbpad 4 and 6 to move to navigator objects, but no way of clicking on them worked.Can we please! have proper install links and shortcuts that will work with a screen reader? This is extremely! disappointing. I will admit I also find myself wondering if someone actually checked whether these worked correctly with screen reading software before putting them together.
