Thanks for the info. At the moment I'm thinking about assembling a kit bit by bit, so first I'm looking at racks. But I'm not sure how universal the clamps/mounts are that come with the different types. For instance the Roland mds-9v. It says it is for use

I will give you descriptions of the pads I mentioned so you can understand them.A Roland PD8 pad is afull rubber pad, it's about 9 inches in diameter and has about a 8 inch pad surface with a 1/2 inch rim that goes around the drum. It is very thin, maybe

Hey, that's really cool. You play great. I'm definitely interested in getting started with e-drums. I don't expect to become a good drummer, but hopefully over a five year period or so, I might become competent enough to create decent basic drum tracks
