To long-time users of Synology products, how difficult is it to get around various parts of the DSM UI? I'm considering the DS918+ and although there's an online demo which lets you try the GUI, it would be helpful to hear from an existing user.

Hello,Thanks for helping me! I used the DS File app on my iPhone to start the task... I "select all" and did copy to a shared folder I made on the NAS. The first files and folders are showing up on the network drive on my windows computer.

You can also connect the hard drive to your NAS directly and simply copy all the data locally via File Station directly on the NAS. This is the fastest way possible, since the transfer speed will only be limited by USB speed limitations.
