Hard to diagnose. Did you create an efi system partition? is your installation media booted in efi mode?

But when I always reboot I get the efi interactive screen witch does not have speech. With a shell> prompt at the bottom.

No, no, the grub command to install it isgrub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot --bootloader-id=GRUBDon't use --recheck or --path. Remember to generate your configuration, too:grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

So I managed to get grub installed on a efi partition but when it reboots I can't get passed the efi interactive screen. I was able to do a some what scan with ocr and was able to see a shell> prompt at the bottum. I'm not sure what to do at this point because everything I t
