Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
Yeah, that was the reason I uninstalled it years ago and never looked back, but if it has a simple interface for downloading podcasts in bulk, I'll give it a try.

Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
I never liked speak-on because it's one of those old self-voiced programs that doesn't know what the fuck a screen reader is, and is slow and laggy compared to any actual UI. And SAPi doesn't help, SAPI just inherently lags.

Ooh, Speak On has a podcatcher? It's been quite some time since I looked at the thing. I never cared for the one from Web IE, it never worked well for me. It crashed a lot the last time I used it, but then again, I subscribe to a lot of podcasts
Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
Well if you want a good podcatcher to use in the mean time, I like to use the one from web IE or speak on media sweet.

Hello.@13 great ideas for a future release.@14 thanks for the high compliments. You're not the first who has asked me for a podcatcher. It is something I can look into, but I literally have 0 experience with it, so I can't promise anything until

Hi Nathan,I was wondering if you had any plans to try and make a podcatcher? This is something that is seriously lacking on Windows, what with QCast slowly breaking, and other solutions being thin on the ground. While this media player isn't
Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
how about the ability to make playlists kind of like the old pulse mP3 player did. You should also be able to shuffle them. So, the playlists would only contain the paths to each folder so you wouldn't have to keep adding audio files

Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
M4a is a really common format these days, so if it can't play those, that's a dealbreaker for me. I would be interested if support for that was added, and if you could add an auto tagging feature. That's the only feature I miss from Winamp
Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
winamp is still cool for me

Hello Dardar,What I've been looking for for quite some time now is a player that could support Youtube-dl streaming with the ability to read subtitles attached to the material. Do you think you could make it happen? This way a host of multimedia
Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
@^ The playback queue feature allows you to do the "add a file and have it played with no wait" however, you add a new file to your folder, you will have to press backpsace and reenter the file, sorry about that.
Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
I'm a fan of foobar personally, but there is one feature that it doesn't have that I'd love to see in a media player. I'd like to be able to choose a folder, but instead of having it load all the files from the folder into memory and playing
Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
I love this media player. I'd switch to it permanently if it had a repete feature. I like my files on loop.

Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
I like the bookmark support but otherwise I see no reason to switch from Winamp, VLC or Foobar accept maybe for someone newly blind and just learning how to use a computer.Would be nice to see M4A, AIF, and FLAC support too though.

Re: An all new media player from Nathan Tech
question. What libraries/plugins are you using for your audio format support. If libvorbis, what version? What LAME version? Are they wrapped in a third party library package such as bass, so loud, z play, libVLC, etc? It'll take a hell of a lot
