I will admit Ive known about this one for a while myself, its been on the very good games to play online page which can be Found here on the whitestick.co.uk site and Che martin of Blind adrenalin was always a big fan of the game though to be honest I was never sure what exactly you did in it. Your description makes it sound a little like torn city in terms of simulating a modern life with getting a job etc, plus learning from a university though obviously with a very different subject matter as compared to Torns crime theme. Alter Aeon and Miriani have definitely spoiled at least the blind mudding community. 99% of muds do not have any kind of sound packs, and generally the ones that do have packs, have been created by the players, not the developers.Having said that, it is entirely possible for browser games to have sound as well. Theyre just as rare as muds with sound and often times, just like with muds, the sound isnt very high quality, but they do exist. Advanced Fallen Worlds has music during games, and a game that no longer exists, Duels, had combat sounds during the battles. Theres a browser based game called Curse of Backdraft that also has sounds for various things. Its all possible, just depends on how much effort the developer, and in the case of most muds, the players, are willing to put into the game.Anyway, sorry for dragging this a bit off topic, just wanted to say you shouldnt really make a strong judgment one way or the other just based on the way the game is played.As for Popomundo, Ive tried it a couple of times and never really got anywhere. I dont think real life simulations are much my thing. Even back when I was playing games almost non-stop, I basically just wanted to be a hermit and play, I wasnt interested in much social contact either on or off game, unless alcohol was involved. Now that Ive become a christian and my life is starting to pick up some, Im finding that I dont really have time to even play games, what with all my bible studies and the new friends Im making, much less simulate real life, haha. But I know a lot of people like this game, so Im glad it finally got posted here. Well most of the web games Ive seen that attempt sounds usually also have nasty flash controls or the like, though Ive seen a couple such as Monbres game over music (even if that one was pinched from Secret of Mana), :d. Funnily enough however I agree with you on the hermiting, if not the alcohol. I personally am not really the most social player and would actually prefer single player rpgs or stratogy games to multiplayer ones. Not to say I wont drop a healing spell on someone if I walk past in Alter, but really I find fighting monsters and the environment much more interesting than chatting to other players or attempting rp as part of a community. It receves updates, well I dont know how often, but you get 2 or 3 updates per day.On focus you have 2 categories, spare time focus and career focus.On spare time focus, you can choose to go for a walk, party all night long, hanging out with your friends.On the career focus you have options like improve skill, compose music, go to university and so on.
