Re: Recording simultaneously from two soundcards? with obs studio you can record multiple inputs and outputs in a single file.however, if intention is to write separately, then the best way is to use a daw.the concept is quite simple: for each audio track you will choose the desired input. can be microphone, virtual card, stereomix if you have, etc. Of course youalso need to configure which sound cards (or drivers) you will use.maybe a problem that can happen is the timing of the audios. but I think it can be solved later with an edit.on sonar, if you use mme32bits mode, on the "drivers" tab you can choose the inputs and outputs that will be used.in teamtalk, it even has an option to record each user in separate audio files. Re: Recording simultaneously from two soundcards? Virtual recorder removes all the silence on the recordings I make with it. It's like when you have "sound activate recording" turned on in Audacity. So Virtual Recorder doesn't work for me. Re: Recording simultaneously from two soundcards? @Prajwal, exactly what I was gonna say. When it comes to recording with a pc, Virtual Recorder is boss. Especially if you wanna record both pc input and your own voice. Streaming computer audio to somewhere like teamtalk or something like that, however, i'm not sure of that. My old computer had something called Stereo Mix, which captured the sound from my internal soundcard, it was basically a virtual microphone but it didn't work well with USB headsets so yeah. But with Virtual Recorder I can record stuff even with an USB headset connected. It has a virtual audio capture device thingy, which relies on something called Windows Wasapi, but am not sure of it's exact uses. But yeah, for recording with both your computer's sounds and your own voice, Virtual Recorder would be your best bet. I already did some game recordings with it, and it works like a charm.
