Hate to be posting again but I just checked undead assalt again cause was bord and found out the server was down. It is actually down now. Could he be adding updates to the server or, something? I'm not sure, but all I know is I checked and the server seems to be down when you connect it. The error I'm currently getting is error to retreave server list.

As I wrote recently, I have already deleted that folder several times and the problem has not been resolved.  I also tried to cancel and re-download the game but the problem still persists.  So for the moment the problem is not solvable, at least for some of us.

yeah, I've said it many times and I will say it again. I know that most screen reader users don't use punctuation so this is a problem in this instance. Go to run by hitting windows+r then type the percent sign followed by temp and an other percent sign. You should have the gen.py folder there.

This game, being that it is created by a NVDA user is perfectly accessible with NVDA and has always been. However, there is an issue at present, and your game might stop outputting to NVDA. If this happens, type %temp% in your run dialog accessed by pressing Windows plus r to open the temp folder. There, delete the gen_py folder and that will solve the issue.

yeah, well no one connects because why connect? its swamp without missions and its just kill kill kill, with no reward. sure theres a  scoardboard but what for? swamp had levels and missions and each level gave you a new map you could go explore until level 60, but then you could get/give items, get armor from warehouse missions, get new weapons from those maps to make your life easier. and then, if you f oud enough loot you would get titles that got you new weapons, and recognition. On top of warehouse missions you could go into maps for just you and a friend to explore, or missions like capture the flag and last man standing, or even seeing who has the best accuracy with the sniper mission (forget what its called). Point is, this game would of been better if it had more to bring to the table lik emissions, or more than 6 weapons with 2 of those being used all the time, and one giving you a garunteed win (ak470 and the other being cx75 (for the instakill perk) and the sword only being useful till level 5 or so. like, we have no grenades to take out hords, or silent crossbows to possible hit zombies from further and maybe them not knowing where they are if a system like that came into play, or critical  hit system (there might be one and i just haven't noticed it so please, proove me wrong), or heck, snipers for making a lot of noise but taking out a zombie from across the map, or at least the area you can access, or even through doors if you have them activated. you know, that kind of thing. Do i want things to happen with the game, yes. so i think they will happen, no. I'm sure like every other audio game dev he's lost motivation because no one is playing, and why would they not? i mean, it was so popular and now its dead. But i sware, this is the one thing that  alot of devs understand and i'm not sure if its just cause they don't think through it enough, or they don't think it'll work, or they get too caught up in there emotions, i don't know. But if you release updates enough, keep things fresh, and hell even interact more other than yeah, i'm finding out what is causing this bug, I'll fix it! and then going silent once its all fixed and work arounds were found, then people will play. having a good dev and a constant stream of either updates or interaction, or in-game events like prizes for who gets the highest on a localized reigon based score board for a certain like who can get the highest round in a day, or who can get the most kills in the week, or whatever. That kind of thing will keep you wanting to play and keep your game active. Take titan conquest for example. It gets a steddy new streamo f around 80 players a day, and other than some youTubers making videos on it, it has a fwe things a lot of games here don't. a dev who interacts, events for people to participate in, stream of updates, and  you can even help test as well as other perks for $5 per month by paying for a subscription. Sure that means test is behind  a pay wall, however you can't let too many people see the new things int he game and then the actual game gets, borring sense nothing carries over betweenthem unless test gets refreshed.

I for one am pleased that this game is back. though must admit once you get an ak47, it's game over. there's no need to move or tactically change anything what so ever. perks are far too often, so that you can literally stand in a corner and blast away. this game would be grately improved just by fixing the aiming issue, as others have said, the ak47 will kill zombies even if you aren't facing them. this, in conjunction with less perks would in my opinion improve the game tenfold.

I think that most people have problems recognizing the difference between percent temp percent and temp. I made the same mistake at first writing just temp in the run box, without the percent signs before and after it. After I cleared that folder the game still didn't work. Then I read  the messages explaining how to fix NVDA not speaking again and stumbled upon the procent signs lol.

A suggestion.Could this game be turned in to left 4 dead / world war Z like style? I mean in those games, you can play in solo or you can form a team, but your objective is not simply to survive the incoming zombie hoards, but you also have other objectives like rescuing hostages, disabling generators, kill the zombie boss, and many more.

So glad this game is back.Haven't used the new gun that much or the sword really. The game has some lag and sometimes a lot of lag but my GF and I managed to get to round 42 with a lot of lag and round 24 on our own.Looking forward to updates and maybe a few extra weapons like the shotgun and some explosives.Love the sounds, Nikolai and Richtoven or however you spell his surname are the best and funniest in my opinion.

Ok here are a few things. First of all, I wonder if this is the best way of recommending manuel cortez to fix bugs/or add features. If it's not, please tell me a better way of contracting him or something because these are prettyu important stuff that should be fixed, and as it sounds they look like pretty simple to fix too.Now for the suggestions and stuff1. Bonuses should be decreased. Since players get a lot of max ammos/instakills, they always end up staying on a certain spot and kill the surrounding undead on the higher rounds, and this takes out the excitement, a lot if not completely.2. Double points should not be provided while an instakill is going on. This is something that must be considered.3. I have a feeling that the way that the zombies gain speed on each round, isn't meant to be like that, and they should get much less speed on each round, or maybe the number of spawned zombies is much more than what it should be on the higher rounds. I just feel something is wrong there.Or wait. Mayube it's because zombies are spawned only around the player. I believe that zombies should spawn all around the map, so that the player won't stay on one spot for the rest of the game. This should force the player to leave their comfort zone and look for zombies   COuldn't find a better term.4. I'm sure you already on that, but just to make a reminder or something of that sort, this game needs much more weapons. Now the players keep looking for an A K 47 and a C Z 75. When they get this weapon combo, they have no concern about their weapons because they know there's not a better option. You may add weapons with different pros and cons so players keep changing their weapons based on the situation. When they need a long ranged weapon they go for a sniper or something, when they need to blast a wave of zombies in a short range they go for a low ranged but stronger machinegun, U know what I'm saying.5. Explosives. Explosives were a good part of call of duty and i know kino der toten had them too as I watched videos of it on youtube. Most of my suggestions are also originating from what i could notice in those videos.6. Although I'm pretty sure you're also on this one, but this map needs more sections, with different tile-types.7. This one is a bit ruff, but it would be perfect if you could turn this game to a 3d fps like call of duty itself. At the very moment there's no aiming, no anything it's just hold down space and ak 47 automatically takes out zombies, No matter if they're behind you. It just, works and this takes out the excitement by a good amount.Again, if there's a better of contacting manuel cortez, please let me know. Thank you

Ok. Here are a few things I can recommend you guys to do, to get your speech back.First, open run by holding down the windows key and pressing r, and type %appdata% followed by enter to open your temp directory. Then, look for a folder named gen_py. I know there are like a thousand folders there so to make your life easier, you can simply type gen so it poses the cursor on the folder I'm talking about. Delete the gen_py folder and you're done with the temp directory. Now, open the main directory of undead assault. I'm talking about the folder where undead assault's executable file is located. Delete a folder named com_cache. If you ran the game at least once, and haven't deleted the said folder, and you don't find the folder in your game's directory, it should be the reason your screen reader doesn't speak anything and I, unfortunately, have no idea of why such a thing would happen because it never happened to me. Usually deleting of the gen_py folder would fix this issue. I don't think it'd make that much difference but you could also delete a folder named config there. It clears your configuration but it "might have" some effect, but it's just unlikely to fix that issue. It's only one guessed solution of me

For he I did not have to delete the game. I went into the do’s prompt. Once there I typed dir game.conf*.* /s. Once I found the directory that file was in I went to that directory and deleted it. Once I did the camera I restarted the game and it worked perfectly

hi all. i read all posts here and did all of the suggestions for the nvda problem. but when i open the exe file in the downloaded zip file i still have no speech. i love this game so much but cant play it now. but my friends all can play with nvda. but not me. i cant understand it. i also tried to restart NVDA but still nothing happens. so i am very sad now. ;-(

hi, it's on  0, 0. press enter there. you can create or join a team on that menu. if you ready then hit start, or wait until the leader of the team your joined in to start the game.you can also read the manual by the way, it's in the game directory.

The game just came back, so I expect new features will be added, but first to fix as many bugs as possible and make the game stable. One thing I wanted to mention though: Even if the box goes all to way to 300,0, or really in any other location, if you go to 0,0 and press enter you can move it somewhere  else.

I agree. In the actual game their is more things, like speed, and more items and explosive things. So, wish they had all of it in this game.

finaly, it's not good. I downloaded the world version, I installed it.But in game, NVDA don't read a lot of thing. In the main menu, it say just "check update", "site web (I believe)", but not the other items, same thing in the game. The same thing for the field for sign up in the server.What happen?Thanks

As said in a couple of previous posts, the game is obviously ccessible since it is created by a blind developer. However, there is a bug causing this to sometimes happen. Try typing %temp% in your run dialog and delete the folder gen_py. It worked for me, but did not work for a previous poster here.

Thanks but I don't think it will work, I deleted the whole game and re-downloaded it, all this after deleting the file in the Temp folder. Nothing, when I reopened the game the screenreader was silent.

MaranatàIt is fully accessible for those who are blind. To fix your issue kong find the game.config file. For me it was located c:\users\michael\appdata\roaming\undead\undead\config. Delete the game.config file and restart the game
