Music Servers are closest to CDP, and likely easiest to use, but in
another price category, even Olive is not that inexpensive..

Purely personal opinion - I'd keep the 640A and get some

Yes, but IMHO, they are the future.
I don't think you save money, but the amp engineer can deliver what the
driver engineer wants, how, when, what flavor, etc.
