There is also a router involved. The TP (or any device) can't tell the
difference between the router being turned off/rebooted/renewing its IP
leases etc and the server being shutdown/rebooted.
You would get really annoyed if the TP didn't auto reconnect after any
of those events.
What's the
The stereo remasters have what is called Light compression by the
engineers, nothing like what is done in the loudness wars of today.
To my ears it is not excessive, fatiguing, etc.
The mono remasters have no added compression.
Hopefully, together with the vinyl re-release(in progress, based on
Oh well, it was worth a try. I'll just have to get use to seeing this
message now and then.
So, just to be clear - the TP is off in terms of it's main power
supply, but the software is still 'awake' and periodically checking to
see if the server is still around, and active?

Based on recent work at Abbey Road re-releasing Paul McCartney and
George Harrison in hi-res, we can hope for uncompressed versions.
WTF should we have to buy so-called hi-res releases to get uncompressed
versions? It's perfectly possible to make redbook versions without

No, its always on in terms of (electronic) circuitry - although
optionally one can
Thanks for the clarification.
How does one go about optionally enable/disable the analog outputs when
off?

I use a remote controlled power outlet. This turns everything off when

I believe if you have your system set up properly, and are making full
utilization of the information available - 16/44.1 or 24/96 - you will

I had to do a COMPLETE uninstall to get 7.6 to find all of my library.
No probs now. Still album art problems - I can live with that.

Seems like every other time I turn on the Transporter it says, Hold

the last month. Didn't do that before.
Ideas? Thanks

I have a few 96/24 ALAC tracks (converted from 96/24 FLACS by XLD) that
I am trying out on the transporter
Why does it say for example:
Bitrate 2983kbps VBR (converted to 705kbps FLAC)
Sample Rate 96kHz
Sample size 24 bits
Is it being downgraded by the transcoder to non hi rez at 705kbps?
