least in my opinion. Please listen for Yourself test files. I dont know
for sure what effect this have on normal music. Maybe it is audible,
maybe not, needs additional testing.

Yes, why are we splitting hairs about a codec that's broken by design?
MP3s will always have artifacts, even if it's audible under extreme
circumstances with MP3 codec A and inaudible under the same
circumstances (but likely audible under different circumstances) with
MP3 codec B.
Answer: use
but... listen to artifacts introduced by PC decoders, and compare with
artifacts of builtin decoder, it's not same order of magnitude.
Additionally, MAD in 24-bit mode is very similar as source file.
