 |We’ve updated the …/mailarchives/ page and also the Austin Group home \
 |page to have links to two mail archives

Thanks, this is good.

 |The official one requires an Open Group login and is available at
 |
 |https://collaboration.opengroup.org/austin/plato/mailarch.php?action=lis\
 |t&archive=austin-group-l
 |
 |The other as above

The official one holds all 27415 messages of austin-group-l.
I for one would not use that unless there is no other possibility,
it is painful to use and slow (OpenGroup always like so), and then
i need to log in, for which i use a special machine (VM) where
there is a browser which might know the passwords.

www.mail-archive.com is accessible by everyone and has some nice
services (granted i do not make use of that, at least very often,
but they do exist). I could imagine that www.mail-archive.com
would merge in a MBOX in order to create a complete history also
there. If that would be possible and desired i could ask on
gossip at mail-archive.com, to which i am subscribed, whether they
would really do so.

Greetings from Germany, and
Ciao,

I have to put the comment: luckily they keep that going. Plain
NNTP is easy text, and important, not only to me.
