running axis client from applet

I posted this to the axis user list yesterday, but got no response, please can someone advise re running axis client from applet. All I would like to know at this stage is if axis will eventually work in an applet context, or if it can be done now. In the meantime, I am going to revert to using

Actually, I've had a talk w/Russell on this. I think a move to use some flavour of property files are good for a few more reasons. Specifically, there are a number of places in Axis code where we do a set/getProperty() for the system environment, which, is bad from a java2 security point of view
