search for the documents in the Azores.
Thanks again,
Steven

Also, a good wine from Pico is the Friar Gigante.Lajido is the wine that was
sent to the Czar's and kings at the time it was in full production and you can
still buy it on Pico. Very good honey colored wine. I wish we could buy Pico or
Portuguese wines in Arkansas!

Just wanted to put my two cents in here by mentioning Madeiran Wine. It's an
appertiff, very strong, and thick. I always get some at the Feast of the
Blessed Sacrament in New Bedford. Whatever is left after the Feast has to be
sent back to Madeira- it's very regulated. It also has some neat

Thank you very much Hermano. This website is great. Lucky for me the
Lisboa records seem to be some of the first put online.
I'm not sure if I have quite enough information yet to trace this line
(I need to find Custodio's casamento; hopefully it's in Rosario and not
somewhere in P Delgada)
Hi Cheri,
Thanks for the assistance. My husband went back to the records and found
that some words were started on one line and completed on the next. Now
things make sense.
Thanks again,
Diane

Thank you for that information. My Ancestry membership expired a couple of
months ago and I can't afford to renew it right now. Have a lot of Canadian
records I've been wanting to look up.
Thanks again,

I have two questions.
1st. Could someone else take a look and tell me if they can find the
baptism records for 1872 in Agua do Pau. I was looking for my wife’s great
grandfather’s baptism on the CCA site. It should be Joao Vieira Cabeca
parents are Joao Vieira Cabeca and Cerubina de Sousa
OK Steve, they have the Agua do Pao baptisms messed up. If you go down to
1874.000 it starts the 1872 book. Since you didn't say what date Joao's baptism
was I didn't go looking. At the beginning of the 1870's it's messed up too and
there are over 100 baptisms. You can go to the page listed
I mentioned the index in my post a few hours ago... looks like it might
not be what I initially thought.
The baptismo book begins with a list of names, presumably those in the
book, followed by numbers. The numbers repeat but also steadily increase.
Steven, He's document #8 lefthand side, the image is 1874.005 tho it IS Feb.
1872.

Jesse, since I couldn't find a document number on any of the baptisms I would
venture to say that it is the page number. My computer is running so slow
tonight that I couldn't keep checking back and forth between the index and the
pages. If yours is running faster try to pick a name and go
Thank you for the reply Rosemarie. Unfortunately, I believe the numbers
must mean something else. I tried this on a few different names, as the
book's pages ARE numbered, but this doesn't work. I guess it makes sense
though. The names are semi-alphabetically listed it looks like, and the
