I am looking for the marriage of Valerio Raposo, native of Nordestinho, and
Margarida de Medeiros, native of Faial da Terra. I have found the baptismal
records of two of their children born in Nordestinho; Jose was born March
1769 and Rosa was born May 1771. I looked in Nordestinho and Faial da
Third try is a charm. Just found the marriage I was looking for in Faial.

Just a finer point on who to test. Cheri is 100% correct when ordering a Family
Finder to test the oldest living relative. But say you really want to test your
Y-DNA if your father or even better your grandfather is still living have them
take the test so that down the road you decide to test
Right before you check out, it will give you the total and then in small
print will be a link that asks if you have a coupon. Click that and try the
$30 off Family Finder and see if it works. If it doesn't, go back a page
and use the other code.
