If you goto São Jose, Ponta Delgado's records for obitos you will notice some years are listed twice. So you will see the normal 1870-1879, but also in there is 1875-1876. That one with only 2 years are the hospital records. They also have 1867-1870, which really has 1867-1874 hospital deaths. --
