Corinne, I found an Antonio Brier born in Fayal/Faial Azores 2/27/1872. Arrived in New Bedford 3/30/1888. Naturalized in 1900. So from what I can figure outthis is the Portuguese side of your family tree. Jon F. Barnes married his daughter Josephine Brier. Josephine's mother is not Portug
