Second Obito on left is for Susan Vieira, widow of Manuel Luis on 21 Aug
1741. Can anyone make out what the margin note is saying? How about her
age?

Duh, yes,
Thanks Rosemarie for finding this. I think it would be great if they would do
it and find the funding for somebody(s) to transcribe as it’s a huge job.
But... I don’t want to discourage our group from doing some now because of a
couple reasons. 1. Who knows if they will even get the funding. 2.
It’s nothing, Rosemarie.
No, the budget was approved by that amount. Take a look at the check mark on
the box for the “approved” near the top for the island of Sao Miguel.
It says the indexation for the island of Madeira was a success under the
leadership of an Acoreano which seem to

I did Google Translate and did get the gist of the email. Are they trying
to collect $$ for the project though and who is going to index?

OK, this explains when I met with Mike Hall from Family Search and he said
that they are negotiating with the Azorean Government BUT they WON'T allow
indexing. OK, so I see they want to do it themselves. The announcement,
however, is just that. They aren't saying if they need volunteers or money
Duh, yes, Angela got it. Should have compared the "P" to Parish in the line

I recall something about the governor’s wife taking over indexing on her
terms. Joao Ventura had the info and shared it with the recent workshop in
Escalon. He may know more.

Hi Marilyn,
The date is correct.
The groom's mom is Isabella d'Oliveira, both parents natives and
parishioners of the referenced Matriz.
Bride's dad might say Manuel Silveira Pregorio. That's weird. Someone else
will have to look. If it's a name, it's one I have never encountered
before. You

Rosemarie,
They’re advising the plan to index and bring together all already digitized
indexes like Madeira island is now possible due to the historic interest
expressed in roots tech. Yes it looks like they will do it all for the island
of Sao Miguel up to 1920.

Leana,
Genealogy is concerned with 3 things: A name, a date, and a place. You have
not provided any name. You just keep referring to 3 great grandma which
does not help the reading audience help you.

Hello! It has been a family mystery why my 3rd Great Grandmother's parents
were. We knew she was "adopted" because her parents were not married. It
was our understanding that she was raised by her father's side of the
family. I'm fairly confident that this may be her baptism record:
