I just want to confirm what I think this says. Francisco Vaz Parreira died

Hi Nelson,
You need the freguesia, otherwise, you need to hunt through about 70
churches for that 30 year period.
You can start the hunt here if you chose to do it:

I'd try some of the sources here first:
I am looking for seats of birth or baptism of my great-grandfather VITORINO
CORDEIRO DO COUTO, natural of the island of São Miguel – Azores, was the
son of João Jacyntho do Couto and must have been born between 1820 and 1850.

I have a family that used the name Raposo Quintanilha. They were from
Ribeirinha, Sao Miguel.

old and was baptized in Livramento.

Groom is 23. Maternal grandmother is Maria da Encarnacao. After the

Bride is 21.
The priest went to town listing the grandparents. That is rather unusual
and lucky for you!

has so many people listed and I want to be sure of the relationships and
names. I believe this may show that the Luiz surname was taken from the
grandfather's FIRST name-- instead of his Souza surname. What do
Thank you JR! This is the first time I've seen the surnames Albernas and
Quintanilha.
