Rick, HP just had a sale last week on their Windows 7 computers - I don't now if it is still going on in case anyone else is interested. They must have some understanding to be able to still offer 7 on some of their computers because no one else does as far as I know. I did not want a Windows 8

Always a good reminder to back up your data. I've been doing it today, too.In regards Windows 7, seems to me it would be no problem to buy any new computer and then buy Windows 7 and install it. It might be more expensive that way, since 7 or 8 always comes free with the system, but if 8 stinks
