One other thought Eric. Several months ago I connected with a cousin who's
Grandmother, Margaret Borba Dutra Reynolds and my Great Grandfather Anthony
Rocha Borba were brother and sister. She mentioned to me that her
Grandmother lost two children Lawrence and Lucile Dutra in a house explosion
look at the records.

I have another great-great grandfather on my maternal side that worked for
Southern Pacific in Sacramento... as far as I know he was working as an
attendant at a railroad crossing in the early 1900's... apparently there
was a runaway car or something and he tried to jump onto it to

When you go to the train museum, if you have time, could you find out if
there are records of weekly pay statements for 1858-1900 for the men who
built the railroad. I think I am interested in the railroad that was near
Mission San Jose, Niles area.
