1975?? Is that a typo for 1875?
I was told my immigrants married in Providence, too. One was counted in at
Ellis Island and the other came through Boston. They married in New
Bedford. Therefore, assumptions are dangerous things. Assume nothing.
Are you finding your ancestors on the 1880 in RI?

My grandparents married in Providence, Rhode Island in 1975, so I am assuming
that is where she disembarked.
