Yes, last year when I went down to New Bedford, I found the office at
another location an they gave me directions to the plot for my grandparents
at St. John's.
Chery, I'd definitely love to buy a copy of the book! thanks for looking

The St. John's Cemetery book (by the Amarals, I think) was published by the
Portuguese American Genealogical Society out of Taunton, MA. They have
since closed shop. I don't know what happened to the remaining books.
Ernest Cardoza (if he's still around) may know. This is a really old email
for him
E - what's this St. John's book that you mention? Is it still available?
I'm thinking that I might find more relatives other than my grandparents,
aunts and uncle there, and getting a copy of a book might be a good way to
do it.

Manuel F. Sylvia was buried in St. John's Cemetery, but we don't know
where. He died Dec. 5, 1917 and was living at 23 Hemlock St. in New
Bedford, Massachusetts. His sister, Mary Madeiros/Medeiros was born around
1876 and died around 1959. He
