Yes, I saw the same thing happen where they assign the husband's name to

they assume that everyone is just like us in the USA!! We went over this
with Personal Ancestry File (PAF) and they finally addressed the issue in
LegacyFamily Tree. They should accept what we enter and not 'generalize'

I don't think it should be generalized like that. No, not all Azorean
women assumed their husband's name. That didnt' happen until some time
after the 1900'stime lines should be paid careful attention to.
Women did not take on their husbands surname's on until recent
